[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — HELL CUSTOMER CARE

I have purchased Airtel Digital TV on 28th of August 2011 and my customer id is [protected] .
But i realized the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider.
I have following concerns:
1. Some time some channels shows the Connection lost screen (Error Code B0001).
2. In rain as well in drizzling it does not respond and hangs.
3. Whenever I called customer care they give me same stupid solutions :

* Restart your set top box.
* Unplug your cable and reconnect.
* Remove any obstacle in front of Dish.


Really a very bad DTH service provider.I suggest never buy Airtel Digital TV.

Airtel digital tv is one of the bloody cheap quality product there is a signal problem in top box and it has been out of warranty just a weak passed and customer care was telling me that you have to pay the charges even to check the problem and resolving is an secondary issue.
now i think this is the company whose product is for one year which is warranty period after that it will be make your life hell and being fruitfull for company because customer start paying after that in the name of visiting charges etc.

recently there was a problem with my airtel connection, it was showing error code SM 2 for which i complained on customer care and after three days it was rectified, the engineer who came for the re-installation he tried something with the remote and made it redundant. after which he saID YOU will be gettin a new remote delivered by me tomorow, it has been past seven days daily i give them a call to airtel office in agra and they always give me some lies like it is on the way or it will reach you by evening today.
i dont know what to do, sometimes i feel that the airtel office agra may be filled up with irresponsible people who dont take any care for the organisation in which they are working and bring a bad name to that.

MY DIGITAL TV A/C NO.[protected]. AS PER YOUR SMS DT 22/04/2011 IN MY MOBILE NO [protected], I HAVE RECHARGED RS660/-. AGAIN I HAVE RECHARGED RS50/- O 24/04/2011. IN SPITE OF THAT YOU ARE SENDING SMS TO MY MOBILE NO.[protected], INSISTING TO "RECHARGE, OTHERWISE SEVICE WILL BE DISCONTINUED".
YOU HAVE ALSO DELETED MY TWO RUNNING CHANNELS G-BANGLA, STAR-JALSHA.
IF THIS CONTINUE I HAVE NO OTHER OPTION BUT TO CLOSE YOUR A/C INFORMING ALL TO THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITY.

Airtel Digital TV — new subscribed channels not connected even after 6 days

Airtel Digital TV -ID No.[protected]. Newly subscribed for 3 channels.Complained 6 days ago, i.e. on 21.4.11 that I could nt get connected to these channels. They mentioned they will send local engineer for realignment of dish. But, till today nobody attended despite my complaining to customer care several times. Why shall they accept what they cannot do? Can they attend at least now?
It really shows that how serious and sensitive Airtel is towards its customers. So far no one has bothered to contact me.

Airtel Digital TV — Customer service @ airtel= make the customer's life hell

I hope you read this to understand that building a brand is not only about advertising or innovative products....it is always about service. I am an extremely frustated Aritel Digital TV customer and I am sure there are hundred's o[censored]s out there..only I have take the intiative to write about it.

I had put in a request to subscribe for new channels in March some time and I was told that the dish realignment was to be done inorder to activate the channel. Till date this has not been done and here I thought that you would definetely appreciate the business

On 27th April, I logged a call saying that I still have not got the channels that I asked for and that there was a harware issue(the set top box was hanging) (SR No 7406741).

On 28th April, the technicians impromplty showed up at 5.30 when I had cleary requested a 10 am-12 pm visit as i am working. They "repaired" the sytem for 2 hours till 7.30 pm, by which time there was no signal being received. Then they decided that they cannot resolve the problem that evening and walked away assuring that they will return the first thing next morning

On 29th April, I waited for them to return and repair the system, which did not happened. I called them and they did not answer the calls. I called the call center and guess what ? they raised a new service request and promplty told me that my problem would be handled on 30th April.....

All this makes me question the service capability of your organisation and the caliber of the people responding to customer issues.

As for me I am throughly disgusted with Airtel as a brand ( the above is just an example of dealing with your service center/ call center..I have face similar intelligence in any interaction with them) ..I am sure I will move to another service provider and actively take up the task of ensuring that a maximum number of people are aware of the lack of customer service provided by your brand.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Airtel DTH,Co proper service from the Customer care

I never thought airtel will give this type of hopeless service to the customer. I had face the issue on 22nd Apr,2011. Totally I had raised 4 requests and with out my notice all the requests were closed with out the technician checked the issue. since then I had called some 4-5 times daily till date to the customer care and in touch with the escalation team for almost 4 days (No Use). Till now the area incharge didnt even bothered to check about the issue and till now for almost 9days I had paid for all these days and I am really very sorry to say,this the one of the stupid service I ever faced till date.

If they cant resolve the issue, kindly he;p me getting my money back so that I can opt for the other service provider who can respect the customer and provide the prompt responce.

Need to Thank again for all these days for providing some sort of routine info and I hope I will get my money back.

There is Nothing to tell...It hard... this is the reason to Remove AIRTEL DIGITAL TV ...No Proper response from the customercare...if the call connect they switch off the phonns...If we call to Land line complient number they wont lift it...if we call number of times they just keeps the reciver a side...IN KAKINADA

My setup box is down since 8 days and the company is willfully deducting the daily amount from my account without showing me any channels.
I'm repeatedly complaining to customer care numbers(both tolled & toll free) and every time i get the same response that your complaint is being looked into and it being forwarded to the concerned persons.
Today around 4.30pm i once again called up your customer care executive and was shocked to hear that only one complaint dated 26.4.2011 has been made by me and that has been resolved. I was astonished to hear that my all complaints were forwarded to deaf ears and i was just being made to understand that problems are being resolved. So this time i insisted the executive to provide me a complaint number[protected], so that once again I may not be the part of the same trick.

Kindly look into the matter urgently as I'm unable to see TV since 8 days, without any fault of mine.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Refund has been delayed

After repeated follwups also it is very difficult to get the refund which i paid for the new DTh connection .infact the they never met their commitment neither in installation nor refunding.it is alomst two months over from the dte they said they will refun my money.

Could anyone advise me hoe to take it up this issue or going to consumer court is the only option.

I informed Airtel of the non-functioning set top box in the first week of April. Weeks of follow-up and no response. Since they already have your money in advance, it doesn't make any business sense for them to respond to you.

Moreover, they have a very active extortion cell that will threaten you in case you decide to opt out of the service. I'm still going through all that and am saying so by experience.

And to answer your question, they won't refund your money. This is what I was told.

This is to inform you that I had taken a digital TV connection from Airtel Digital TV some time back. My customer id is [protected]. Ever since I took the connection, we have been continuously facing trouble with the TV. Their customer support is one of the worst in the world. I called them several times, did not get any support and hence decided to get rid of my connection permanently. People working in the customer care center are very cheap. Most of the times, it is impossible for anyone to even reach up to the customer support executive. Even if you reach them, they are not keen on talking to you. They would just like that discconect the call. With great difficulty, I got connected to their customer support center and spoke with their representative. I was told if I am so unhappy, I could get my connection disconnected and take back the balance of Rs. 1705. I agreed to it and went ahead with taking connection of TataSky.

Now, I am again struggling. Because nobody from Airtel is willing to come and dismantle the connection. Since there is absolutely no action from their end, I spoke with their Nodal officer in Chennai. He also agreed to return the money. Now, I am being told that Airtel DTH doesnt have policy of refunding customer's money. I need to forget the balance to Airtel DTH. This is pure cheating. I have already spent Rs. 900+ in calling Airtel.

I am shortly going to lodge a formal police complaint.
