Airtel - Digital DTH — Poor Customer Service
In reference to my DTH connection # [protected], I was trying to lodge a complaint requesting for in person support against an error code B001 which was showing for the past two days (since Thursday evening)I had the worst ever time trying to do this on the so called "24 *7 customer support in 10 languages" - South Hub :[protected]
procedure followed to reach the executive
1 - type 1 English
1 - type 1 if existing customer

2 - main menu
3 - technical support
9 - to speak with customer support executive
Saturday July 21
Executive : 1 (couldn't register the name)
Time : 11:45 a.m - 11.56
- all he did was took the complaint until my address and made me to wait and disconnected the call
Executive : 2 (different from the previous and didn't record the name either)
Time : 11:56 a.m - 12.10
- this person didn't take any info, except to make me wait on line for a while and disconnected after 10- 12 mins
Executive : 3 (not sure if that was Smitha/Sunitha)
Time : 12:10 a.m - 12.18
- to her i was complaining about the place where i came to make a complaint and post me requesting for supervisor of the floor to whom i can express my dissatisfaction and the way i am being treated, she made me to wait online to complete her part of the predecessors procedure, came back stating that she cannot connect to floor manager but will connect to team who can speak in English (all that she explains in english)

- the previous call continued and I was connected to this gentle man, who concluded that the call has been landing in non English speaking floor.....???!!!!!.....i registered the complaint without further drag and disconnected the call
now things that I wanted to know
after clearly following the prerecorded voice instruction
- How did I land in non English speaking floor again and again?
- why did not the executives explain me or assist me to land in the right floor? (while what ever they spoke was all in english)
- why was I made to wait without any instruction on line until it is disconnected (twice)
- what is the turn around time for taking a customer complaint over a call? (for me it took 51 mins (11.45 a.m to 12.36 p.m))
- why was i refused to speak to the floor manager by both the execs - smitha/sunitha and Murali
- should I consider this as the standard benchmark for customer treatment henceforth by airtel?
I am writing this to bring to your notice as how a customer is treated when we are in the world of speaking customer delight
I have using more than two years of AIRTEL digital TV my Id is [protected]. But in last six month i have suffering whenever watching the television why because if weather climate is cloudy suddenly automatically the telecast is disconnect. even its happening sizzling has started. I complaint lot but no result would be happen. I had spoke to Mr.vinay kumar on 21st of July regarding error code SM1. He told it is the problem of setting the disk and the engineer will be coming by 23rd of July by 4 p.m. But yet there's no response.Then I call on 23rd of July spokeen to Mr. SUPRIYO he promise that you will get call from the engineer & your problem will get solve. But still there is no response of the phone call.

1. At the time of installation, I ve made a total payment of Rs 3600/- for a new connection & as installation charges. This offer was said to be for a period of one year. For last one week I am getting a sms as My bal is low and get it recharged before disconnection of services - ie just after mere 5 months period alone
2. On contacting the person named, Mr Surya Narayana (the person who Installed then) does not give correct information or respond to calls.
3. I also take this opportunity to high light few other issues experienced at customer end.
(a) I am not given a receipt of payment or any documentary evidence for this Installation until this date despite repeated queries.
(b) No Coordination between your Airtel Dish TV seller & Service Provider. Both do not own up the responsibility and try to pass on the bugs to each other. The offers given on initial purchase is contradicted by service providers. For instance i) According to Dish TV seller, No Installation charges & is free; whereas Service provider does not comply with it. ii) The required Channels specified as included in packages initially are denied after installation & are added up with more additional charges.
(c) Number of people [min 4 at a time] jump into customer till the cash is handed over to them after which none answers the calls.
4. My call to your customer care service @ Bangalore too did not yield any great output.
5. Hoping for right remedial measure & your assistance / necessary action in this regard.

ALL THE CX CARE AGENTS ARE NUTS, DIDNT UNDERSTAND CX QUERIES PROPERLY AND CX FRUSTRATION.
THEY HAVE SO MANY IN THE OFFICE TO COLLECT BILL ON THE BILLING DATE BUT NOT EVEN A SINGLE TECH
WILL COME TO YOUR PLACE IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUE.. THEY WILL SIT SIMPLY BY SCRATCHING THIER AND GAVE A DAMN EAR TO WHAT U SAY ... NEVER EVER GO FOR AIRTEL DIGITAL TV CONNECTION GUYS ... i'D EXPERIENCE THIS FOR TWO YEARS... IT REALLY SUCKS MY BLOOD..

I have been contacting customer care no. [protected] the technical no. [protected] several times, he is not responsing. Daily while at the time of complaining, he is telling today I will surely come & rectify, but he is not coming.

Airtel Digital TV — set top box repair
from 19/11/12 i am requesting for repaire my set top box till 28/11/12 no any progress on my complaint my costemer id no.[protected] I purchased a SAMSUNG SMART TV from 'e-NOVATION'of JAI MAA KAMAKHYA & CO (Address: 256, Radha Bhawan, Opp. Usha Court, RGB Road, Guwahati-781003(Assam)on 27-10-12. As a marketing tactics they offered one Airtel Digital TV connection and one month recharge free of cost.Every thing was right upto this. TV channels functioned nicely upto 27-11-12.
As it was free for one month, so I recharged online for one year by Rs 2740/-( txn ID- 792240 aginst ID-[protected])on 28-11-12 and accordingly I received SMS from AD-AIRDTH on 29-11-12.
But disappointing fact is that till date (i.e.[protected] the TV channels are not activated. Regarding the matter I have contacted the concerned person at Guwahati office on phone ( Office No-[protected])two times but responses were simply casual. No corrective actions/steps/suggestions were made by AIRTEL DTH people.
I think this type of response in not at all expected from a company like AIRTEL and it will definitely bring downfall to the name and fame to the company. Seeing different comments from large numbers of customers like me, it is evident that the company is going to be a 'BHIKHARI COMPANY' in no time.

Dial the customer care... Press all the options... Get busy music... After 10 min get connected with Some Stu_id...He will say "How can i help you?" Tell ur sad story... (20 min Over)... Then he will reply " Sir, sorry for the inconvenience, I will transfer my call to technical or marketing or xxxxx person" ... Then again busy music... (30 min over.. now our mobile will say low battery.. or our ear will get pain :-( ) .. Now suddenly you will get some beep sounds and call will get disconnected...
