Dear Sir,


I had broadband which i used till September, 2011 and surrendered the connection and paid all the undue amount at airtel guy came collected by giving receipt(no:7264733and 7516635). Airtel guy also wrote on the bill “This line is permanently surrendered and disconnected” .

After that I was continuously getting bill every month. Several times I contacted with Airtel Customer Care but they said my connection is still active. Last few weeks I started getting call from airtel CRM saying that I have to pay unbilled amount(Rs 4969.71) which is completely false because i was not using connection anymore. I have informed CRM that I have surrendered the connection and have paid all the bills..But continuously I have been getting calls from airtel CRM for the same issue in spite of me explaining the things...

Last few days I am getting call from Airtel Legal Dept saying that legal case has issued against me and they will be sending letter soon.

I had also contacted with Biplab Saha(Mobile# [protected]) at Airtel office Kolkata(mentioned in the letter) and as per his request I sent mail with all details. Unfortunately I have not received any responses.

I explained everything regarding my payment and surrendered but they are not listening anything. Airtel people are just escalating this issue and harassing me constantly.

I am thinking of issuing legal notice and police complaints against airtel guys for constant harassment for this...I need help regarding this.

    sir,
    i have a mobile no [protected] which i port into airtel on 24-aug-12,but there is unfare deduction in balance whenever i call on any no.My current tariff plan is 1p/2sec but there is deduction of 30-40 paisa for 10 or 9 sec.
    i complaint on customer care and they disconnect my call after hold.and currently they block my mobile number
    to connect with customer care from past 4 days.

      Hello Sir,
      I need your help. I have been targeted and harassed by Airtel. This is related to the Airtel Postpaid Mobile connection that I am using.

      There where two different scenario's wherein I was committed wrongly.

      The first one starts here. I had wanted to activate the SMS pack on my Airtel postpaid services. Being a customer I called the Airtel Customer care team. I was committed that the 1paise SMS would be activated on my number, which was not done and later on I was charged for the same. After a long follow and continuous struggle with the Nodal officer team, wherein they didn't call me anytime I have to call them always, I was provided with the waiver of Rs300. I was even not intimated about the waiver amout with any explanation, just got an SMS saying the "Waiver Adjustment has been done to your account"
      I was being charged for the SMS charges for approximately three months i.e. three billing cycles. However, the waiver what I got was just for one particular month for which it was passed. Later on I was also informed by the Nodal office team (Through the only call that they made during the entire scenario) that my postpaid services are not eligible for any sms pack being cooperate plan.

      The calculation for the waiver amount and the billing cycle's are still pending.

      Now About the second and major scenario, what make me to mark you an E-mail. At the time when I had requested for the SMS services on the same day I had also requested to activate the Internet (Data service) on my postpaid number, the Airtel customer care team provided me with the wrong information.
      This was an 1GB data plan, cost around Rs 98 per month. I was again provided with the wrong information by Airtel customer care team like whenever, I shall exceed with the 90% of the free data usage I would be getting an intimation message that the data services on my device are in proportionate to exceed. This was told me multiple times whenever I use to call to know about the data usage details.
      I was make assured that I will get the intimation message.

      This took me to the part of trouble. I used my data service for the entire month depending on the wrong information that I will surely get an SMS as soon as the data pack exceed to 90%, as committed by Airtel team.

      However, I didn't received any of such intimation/ Message. This resulted in exceed in my data usage, which took place due to wrong information provided by Airtel customer care team executive. My monies are more important to me than data service, if aware and provided with proper info I would have not activated this services or took a precaution while using the same. I was charged for the data usage which was exceeded due to wrong information provided by Airtel customer care team executives multiple times (Amount Rs 3000)

      Next step that I took I approached to the nodal officer team (Spoke with Ekant Sharma on 26th July 2012). My concern here was why should I pay for the amount which has been charged to me due to wrong information provided by Airtel executive. It make me feel really very bad that the nodal officer executive was not ready to accept there fault. He directly offered me with the waiver of Rs 500 without looking and working on the issue. It was like I was being charged Rs 3000 for Airtel fault/ wrong information and showing a kind favor done by providing waiver of Rs 500 from the same. I had a long conversation for one hour with the Nodal officer team which again is a paid number to make him understand to work the issue than provide with the solution, as I was aware it's not my fault but returned with negative feed back. Again loss of energy, time and monies as the number called (Nodal officer) is again a paid number.
      I was being told and mentally tortured saying that I will have to provide with the Name, Date and time details of the Airted customer care executive whom I had spoke with. The most important thing what a person dont remember or doesn't make a note of it. Instead of me asking question and getting the solution, they nodal officer executive started questioning me about this silly things. This was nothing but just a way to torture. It was also told like the Airtel team do not keep a customer call conversation records for more than one month and there is no such message which a customer get on exceeding 90% of the data usage. I was shocked to hear this.

      Finally I approached to the appellate officers (Spoke with Mr. Ravindra on 1st August 2012) for this. Here it was different thing as soon as I explained the issue I was been told that I would be providing with Rs 1000 as the waiver. I requested them to study the issue. I was being told to know more about the issue I will have to provide with the same details (Name, Date and time details of the Airted customer care executive whom I had spoke with and the one who had committed me this thing). There was also again a criteria set that if in case, the appellate officers found me guilty in this scenario after barring the requested call then I would not get with the Rs 1000 amount waiver as well. Same thing also repeated, Airtel team do not keep a customer call conversation records for more than one month and there is no such message which a customer get on exceeding 90% of the data usage. I was shocked to hear this

      I kept quite, as I understood the way of airtel trying to make money for customers.

      After a couple of day's, I call the Airtel customer care team back again as a fresh customer who wants to know about the service and add on facilities provided. This time I got the proof the Airtel customer care executive (Mr. Irfan Shaikh on 12th August 2012) who responded my call provided me with the same in correct information. He told me that all the customer's get an intimation message as soon as 60% to 70% of the data usage of the internet is done and SMS pack would be activated. He also committed that the call conversation between a Customer and Airtel customer care executive is saved on permanent basis, no matter how much years pass. Records are there. Unfortunately, I told him to activate the required SMS wherein he got the ans that this pack is not eligible for my services. He told me about that but failed on data services and call conversation part.
      This time I worked smart. I recorded the entire conversation on my mobile as well.
      Next day I again called appellate officers (Spoke with Mr. Harbinder on 13th August 2012) and inform them about this. It was my turn,to be frank I had a mess with them, as I had a proper proof this time for which I was harassed as well as mentally tortured. I asked for the entire bill to be waived off (Rs3600 including voice/ sms charges which previously I was ready to pay) as a compensation for my mental harassment, energy and time utilized as well as the charges to which where applicable for the time whenever I had conversations with the Nodal officer and appellate officer paid numbers.
      The guy appellate officer Mr. Harbinder the most irresponsible person, asked TAT timing for 72 hours to get the issue fix, to find the solution. After that no follow up call, no update call till today. I have also tapped this call conversation as well for a proof with me.


      Its like I have to call this people on the appellate officers paid number, wait on a hold explain the issue again to new executive and then respectively listen to them (We will arrange a call back from Appellate officer Mr. Harbinder) in next two hours as well as audit team are working on my issue. They are nearby and I would get the solution in next 48 working hours, which failed. Mr. Harbinder never called up neither I got any solution as committed/ informed by appellate team.

      Finally today, I had a word with a lady in Appellate office Miss Smita who arrange for a call back from Mr. Harbinder. Mr. Harbinder provided me with new commitment, trust me which will never come up too. These people will start up with new reason's. He told that I would be getting a solution on 20th September.



      Sir I need your help, I don't want to use this Airtel postpaid services any more. I shall go for number portability to any of other service provider or migrate my services to Airtel prepaid as soon as possible.
      Please help me to do this out as soon as possible and take a legal action again all this people.

      Sir why shall I suffer due to this people, literally I have call up to know the status while wetting in the rain, as this irresponsible people doesn't call back.
      My number is very important and using this from past more that 6 years, recently in the month of April I portable it to Airtel from Reliance. The biggest mistake what I did. It is spread among all my friend and Business activities.

      Why should I pay or continue with this bad experienced services due to there mistake or delay in call audit. Even I am not aware when my services would be barred and number get terminated, as my last two bills are skipped to be paid due to this.
      Why a person should pay for this kind of circumstances with such a large amount.

      "Ye Airtel sab zabardasti ka kaam kar raha hai. Bina wajaj logo ko pareshaan kar raha hai. Jinkey pass waqt nahi wo to itni baag daud bhi nahi kar payenge. Sirf paise banabey ka jariya hai"

      I hope, I have reach to the proper stage and shall get an out come of this.

      Airtel India — wrong info and wrong commitments nw i want my plan back

      if anybody listen at airtel!!!

      My campus plan was about to expire on 28th jan 2011, so i called ur cusomer executive n he told me to recharge with Rs 110/- to pursue the same plan, so i did the same. But my plan was changed too sumthing else n didnt continue the campus plan so i complained about this to ur 198 (complaint no. cbnra[protected]) n was told that the plan would be reverted back to campus on 1st feb 2011 at 12pm, but it still not done n ur executive is asking me to recharge with Rs96/- again as wrong info was given before.

      Y shud i do it again? When u ppl made the mistake y shud i pay for it?

      I am really fed up of this kind of hassalful services, wherein a customer has to keep all the records and run from pillar to post.

        i've made internet payment on 12-07-12 for annual subscription of Rs.2506/ for south value sports package.
        On 19-08-12 i mailed to customer care to disconnect & refund me the balance as i've plans to go abroad.
        They replied stating that a/c balance is only Rs.53/- & they won't refund the paid amount.Either we've to use it/forger the balance.The such terms &conditions of refund are not there in their website & had it been there i would not ,ve opted to pay the full annual amount.Also the customer relationship form under payment sl.no.15(1) says on daily usage basis the paid amount will be deducted .further refund terms are not there in that form.despite mailing all these to them still they refuse to calculate it on daily usage/burn-up rate basis,norm of this industry,&say Rs.53/- is the balance. They 've all protection for their money in the relationship form but customers money &right are taken for granted & customer is taken for a ride.It is totally unfair trade practice.when we cancel train journey/bus journey ,we are refunded as per the rules but they don't deny refund.But airtel/digital follows a unfair
        policy of living on the customers money.
        Hence i request your office to make airetel/digital to maimtain a/c balance as per daily usage/burn-up rate basis.

        sir, i migrate my postpaid no.to prepaid i purchase a new sim from airtel showroom worth rs 46 for lifetime period. but after 2 days no. shows only 7 days validity, then i purchase 1 more voucher of rs 13 from mkt then after i ll get the validity. after that i recharge my no. rs 525 and get the full talk time , but there is no information that this is only for one month. this is chiting with customer.

        it is further complicated by arbitarily changing the pakge.without my request either by mail/SMS/thro' website due to which i am barred from viewing 4 English news channels Times now, NDTV24X7, CNN IBN&Headlines to-day for a year as the subscription is annual.

          Hi,

          I have prepaid connection of Airtel. My tariff is 1/2 paisa per second. These days its not been followed. I have been experiencing this problem 3rd time. If I call for 30 mins, 28 Rs. has been deducted.
          If I call customer care, some one received my call and asked me to wait for few secs, but call was cut immediately. Afterwards, I tried calling 6-10 times, call was getting cut!

          I have been observing this problem many a times. I feel AIRTEL operators are money looters. They never respond properly and unknowingly enable unwanted services just loot money.
          Will my problem be solved or not?? If required, shall I file a complaint against these looters?? I am ready file a complaint.
          Please suggest. And if possible acknowledge my complaint.

            I am vilas karle writing complaint against Airtel Digital TV , My customer /ID :[protected] MO no: [protected]
            my airtel digital tv is not working since 4 months.. due to SM1 and SM2 Error , iam caling again and again to customer care they had given me promise from last 4 months to till date there is no solution, no one is taking care of that my airtel digital tv but my balance is deducted on daily basis, Airtel services are very pathetic.
            If you dont want to satisfy that customer then how you are one of service provider tell me sir, once i lock call from customer care guy they told me u will get eng visit with in 5 days that is also right but as per your 5 days means 1month = 1 day ,why eng visit is not done, and if i call in ahmedngar section the mobile no [protected] is not answering the call and one more mobile no: [protected] is also promised me from last month is that definately your issue will resolve but when and why that he don't know.
            Even i got msg from now is that your reference no 22711861 regarding eng visit has been resolved...
            also i want waiver of these days i have record of each and everything if there is no solution then i will do everything which will he loss to you

              I am R.Manivannan from Tamilnadu. I havebeen used Airtel prepaid
              Number "[protected]" for the past one month, I have a speacial call
              schemes Like Airtel to Airtel - 10 Paise per minute and other mobile
              30 Paise per minute for three months from the date of purchase. But
              wrongly call charged for the past one month. I have been complained at
              many times but nobody could not take necessary action and recent times
              I am trying to contact customer care Number 198 but i couldn't get any
              answer from your end.

              I am very upset for your network.

                MY NAME IS 'AMIT KUMAR SINGH' AND I AM USING A AIRTEL POSTPAID CONNECTION [protected].AFTER MY BILLING CYCLE I RECEIVED A SMS FROM CUSTOMER CARE ON 02.08.2011 THAT "Your approx. unbilled usage as of midnight,31/07/2011 is Rs.0.0".ON THE NEXT DAY I.E ON 03.08.2011 AGAIN I AM RECEIVING A ANOTHER SMS FROM THE CUSTOMER CARE THAT "Your approx. unbilled usage as of midnight,01/08/2011 is Rs.297.0".THAT MEANS IN A SINGLE DAY I HAVE TALKED FOR RS.297.WHEN I CALLED THE CUSTOMER CARE TO CLARIFY ME THAT WHERE AND TO WHAT NUMBER FOR WHAT TIME I HAVE TALKED THAT YOU HAVE GENERATE THIS AMOUNT THEY SAY THIS INFORMATION IS NOT AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW.THIS WILL LET YOU KNOW AFTER BILL GENERATE THAT MEANS AFTER ONE MONTH.
                AMAZING ! THINK HOW THEY CHEAT TO THE PEOPLE THAT AMOUNT IS GENERATED IN A SINGLE DAY BUT FOR WHAT THIS GENERATE IT WILL KNOW AFTER ONE MONTH.IN THE MEAN TIME CUSTOMER FORGOT EVERY THING WHAT THEY CHARGED WRONGLY.THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE TO REMEMBER EVERY CALL DETAILS OF EVERY DAYS AT THE END OF THE MONTH.AIRTEL IS A VERY BIG CHEATER COMPANY AND I SUGGEST ALL OF YOU NEVER USE AIRTEL POSTPAID CONNECTION.THEY MAKE FOOL TO THE POSTPAID CUSTOMERS AS WELL AS THE PREPAID CUSTOMERS ALSO.

                My name is Gaurav Sharma and I am from Mumbai, this is regarding a number [protected], I gave request to deactivate this number as I lost my cell phone on 26th October. However, The agent in customer care I spoke to said that he has deactivated the number. I asked for reference number, but the agent said that there is no need of the reference number I insisted to him to give me any reference number but he did not give any number and later call got disconnected. On the same day later I called again to inquire about the same, and there was a girl who said that request is in process it will be done. None of them were ready to understand my situation. But later on my other two numbers services got barred as the number I want to be deactivated someone made call from that number which was [protected] to South Africa after two days of giving the request. Due to calls were made to South Africa the bill brought up to 2000rs. And just because of high usage my [protected] number, other two numbers services has been
                barred. I have already sent two complaint emails to Nodal officer for the same reason. But, yet I have not received any satisfying reply from them. Also, I have been to Airtel gallery in dadar, and every time they says that can understand my concern but can not help me in this problem. I am really tired of this, the services I am getting from you guys is really frustrating and don't know what to do. I will not make the payment for the amount which I have not used and came on bill due your agents carelessness.

                I want my other two numbers to be activated as they are very old numbers and familiar to everyone I know. I can't bear to the risk of loosing those
                numbers. Please let me know what you can do from your end, or I may have to take some necessary actions.                   I am very disappointed with the service provided by Airtel Digital TV. I bought the HD connection 3 months back and from the starting the set top box was having issue of not getting proper signal even when the weather is clear.
                  I registered a complaint numbered 22592673, and they have sent a service man, but again the same problem is occurring and I called the contact person but getting no response from them. They are having no concern for that so I'll be happy to discontinue with their service.

                  21.10.09 - both STBs not working. Nobody attended to the complaint thus we had to do it ourselves
                  poor call centre services Call centre executive take approximately 30min. to lodge a complaint and there technician do not have complete knowledge about the product
                  Even they are not able to solve the problem, and the FUNNIEST PART is that u will get a sms from airtel that ur problem has been resolved...but there technician are not able to solve the problem

                    I got a missed call from [protected]. I called bac assuming it was my friend's no. unaware of the code. The person on the other side told me that he was an Airtel executive and wanted some "jaankari" about me. I disconnected instantly.
                    On searching on net I found out that it was a fake number from Pakistan and people are getting calls from the same randomly.

                    Kindly take the required action asap.

                    yes me too got a call for winning a lottery of rs. 15.75 lacs.
                    i recognized the pakistani no. as my relatives are there. when i asked the person where he is calling from, he told me that he is a executive from airtel, i replied you are calling from pakistan, he instantly disconnected the call.

                    earlier, during our conversation he asked me to recharge with rs. 350/- and during recharge procedure my phone should be switched off.
                    also if i disclose the thing in front of anybody, my eligibility for winning will be void.

                    i appeal to everyone that please don't disclose your identity to anyone or don't make any recharge by switching your phone off.
                    in such case you would be cheated and all the recharge amt. will automatically be transfer in such person's a/c also if you disclose your personal or bank detail, he can monitor your activities and can harm or cheat your bank a/c.

                      Respected Sir/Madam,

                      We have recently taken an Airtel Broadband Connection with 2MBps speed having Wifi facility, "unlimited" internet usage and a limited download of 10GB for Rs999 plus taxes package. We paid a total amount of Rs5650 including a deposit of 3000, the modem charge and one month advance rental. Unfortunately, we have been extremely disappointed with the service offered to us.

                      Initially they delayed to activate our internet connection. After many calls, they came and activated it. Moreover, they had mentioned Rs 1550 for the modem and when they came they arbitrarily increased the price by Rs100 saying that the price had increased! Nevertheless, we did not mind and just paid the amount they asked for. However after 4days the speed dropped to 100kbps! And when we called the customer care, they told us that we have crossed our 10GB limit. This is impossible as we did not download any material. We were shocked when they told us that browsing is also counted as download. For your information, I have used the same internet connection in Delhi and never experienced such problem in spite of my frequent download there.The service was excellent and that is why I decided to go for the same Internet service provider in Karnaka.

                      Being foreign students here, internet is the main means of communication with our family; we have got no tv and thus rely on the news we watch online for keeping in touch with the world actualities. We feel that they are also cheating us thinking we are foreign students and frankly speaking, we never expected such a bad internet service in this so-called IT Hub in India. This is totally in contradiction to India's motto "Atithi devo bhava" regarding the treatment of tourists in India. We called several times to ask them to come and fix the problem, they promised to come but never turned up. We request you earnestly to take an action as soon as possible so that they stop cheating us regarding our internet usage.


                      We hope that our request will be given due consideration and that such annoying situation does not arise again. Furthermore we sincerely hope this problem gets resolved as soon as possible because we are not the only ones to face this problem. A large number of students are going through the same trouble in this state and if it continues like this everyone will discontinue their airtel net connection. Through this complaint, many may also get an idea about their worst service and give up any thought of taking up an Airtel Net connection. Please see to it that some action is taken and they stop cheating on people.

                        My Airtel broadband no given above not working for the last 2 months. I have been fed up with this problem because instead of my daily complaint to concerned authorities nothing has been done and to day to my great surprise a customer executive suggested why do nt get disconnect the phone?
                        Therefore at his instance i had to lodge request for disconnection of my broadband. This is the way of pvt. company, providing the service to customers

Today to my great surprise on 29 august 2012 an executive advice me why do not you get disconnected your broadband and take the services of the other providers?                             My name is V K Tiwari and i have a mobile no (+[protected] of Airtel. I use 3G Internet services in my mobile as i always use this service after recharging with 3G pack. Last time I have recharged my mobile no with 3G Pack on- 09/08/2012 at 09:14 Hours with 251/- Rs and its validity was upto 07 th Sep. But on.29/08/12 suddenly 128/- Rupees illegally deducted by Airtel from my main account balance of Mob No ([protected]) in stead of deducting from 3G Balance. There was a lot of 3G Balance in my mobile number and its validity was also remained but they deducted money from my main account balance which is too much and i can not afford this. Several times I contacted with customer care but i am feeling so irretated and astonished due to their behavior of evasion. They are not giving any satisfactory reply and disconnect the call after listening my problem.
                            So i want to lodge a complaint against airtel mobile service with a humble prayer to take necessary legal action. Sir Please do the needful so that i can get my deducted balance and these type of cheating and harrasing should not be repeated.

                                Airtel DTH has chosen to present its customers with this confusing bill. I am able to find any relation between the figures and seek your help in this. As per my understanding 25+200-136=89. But how come Airtel's fuzzy accountants derived an amount of 23 is a as big mystery as big bang theory. Can Airtel and its owner Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal take the responsibility of presenting clear and concise bills to its customers, in which they are not overcharging and extorting money by such unfair and hidden means.

                                Hello Airtel,

                                i have using your network last 5years, [protected] 2 yrs back i activated DND due to unwanted cost reduction. Simply they are sending any one link eaither ordinary phone or smart phone then they are taking my account balance. i called to care line they people were told me i'm worngly pressed the link u dont know the link. i am MIT-Engeering student & now working in MNC Automotive.

                                so that i activated DND but now they do same thing but different way...when i'm using internet the add will shown and automatically activated some service (liela) i recharged 50Rs today 1.22Pm they taken money 1.31pm. i asked care line they told me this service actived 1 week before
                                . but that time i dont have balance. they are very very cheating...

                                    this is satishkumar. hyderabad. my mobile num is : [protected]... current my mobile num activation is unbar ... day before yesterday i got ur customer executive from airtel recovery team... his mobile number is [protected] land line num is:[protected] ... executive shilpa & some other recovery officer of nagaraj or other name ... has given the information that i[censored] can pay the bill amount for 1500/- it will pay by card payment ... only we can addjust the balance rest of the amount.... 1055/- you no need to pay the payment to us.... & they said that we need the documents of id & address proff to activate the sim.... today i contact with that team they r not responding even any where....
                                    ...
                                    ones i spoken with ur backend team mr srikanth his ref num is : [protected] ...he has saying that ... that amount will be transfered to new sim...activation....

                                    that reccovery team how can he say that we will ajust the amount of balnace 1055...if he does not know the calarity information ... how can he provide the information to customer... he does nt having the common sence hw to says the false information...

                                    that he has thinking that a done a job in smart way ...see but the customer has much more criminal mind's for example if i take a sim in new connection in postpaid for the amont limit of 2500/-in other address if iam nt pay the amount ... wht shalll he can do ... just think u can put in the red mark list of that address & his contact perosn

                                    i will teach the lesson in my way ... dont worry guy's

                                    this is the way ur maintaning the relation with ur airtel customers.....see iam also the customer to airtel for last 7 year's on this number.... kindly revreit back as early as possbile....

                                      i have taken the prepaid plan since 6-7 yrs and timely i have recharged but 3 days back company changed the plan with out my permission/request ,my plan was 1.2paisa/second now they are charged the rupees1/call.
                                      i am very much disappointed from this act please advise the company to revert my deducted money and change the plan as it was earlier.

                                        Soon after converting from prepaid to postpaid, people trying to reach me started receiving message that "phone you are trying to reach is switched off please try back after some time". After complaining to airtel, they said they will look into the matter and took some sample callers numbers who are getting that problem.
                                        Later they called up asking if there is any improvements or still facing the same issue. Still many people were trying to reach me were getting this issue and were leaving messages with my wife or land line.
                                        I followed up with airtel multiple times after that for almost month and they kept on defering the problem by escalating to technical department, managers. They have following fixed answers when you call up 121.
                                        1.we are looking into your problem
                                        2.our technical department will get back to you
                                        3.we have escalated this issue to network team
                                        4.it is issue with your mobile device. (btw, this same device I have been using when I was using prepaid and never had this problem)
                                        5.perhaps your area has this issue and our network team is fixing issue
                                        6. talk to my manager, but he is busy right now, he will call back later
                                        7. never receive call back from anyone.

                                        After all frustrating followups with airtel 121, my problem is still not resolved.
                                        But airtel promptly sent full.

                                        I'm going to fight this battle. But I want to warn everyone "Jago grahak Jago' and beware of these money suckers.
