Airtel India — e recharge complaints

My mobile no. is [protected]. i am presently in roaming in chattisgarh and my orignal circle is kerala.i received a sms today at 1045 hours that e-recharge with Rs.555 and get Rs.555 talktime.i recharged with Rs.555 at 1245 hours and got Rs50 RC-350 local/natl sms valid 30 din
MY NAME IS R. KALIAMURTHY. SECRETARY, CONSUMER PROTECTION AND PUBLIC SERVICE COUNCIL. IN KUMBAKONAM, THANJAVUR DISTRICT, TAMILNADU SURROUNDING AREAS ALL SELLERS WERE SOLD THE RECHARGE COUPONS BY ADDING ONE RUPEE PER CARD. I.E. TEN RUPEES CARD SOLD ELEVEN RUPEES. TWENTY SOLD TO TWENTY ONE ETC. THIS SPOILED YOUR IMAGE. WHEN WE ASKED THE SELLERS THEY TOLD THAT THEIR COMMISSION HAD BEEN REDUCED AND SO WE SOLD THE CARDS TO THAT RATE BY ADDING ONE RUPEE. KINDLY TAKE ACTION ACCORDINGLY.

    "25th AUG 2012" i called the 121 executive in order to ask the query regarding deduction of money.. but my query was not been solved.. instead the executive said that his system was not updated.. i guess that wasn't a valid answer for a customer.. somehow he asked me to call again after sometime.. which i tried to do so.. but the executive at the other end smartly blocked my call,, this shouldn't happen with a customer i suppose.. and my balance deduction is frequent.. somehow, i wish now to PORT from airtel service itself.. and i'll surely avoid my friend's circle the use of airtel here on..

      whats going on? are custommer care executives crazy. Im actually a tamilnadu customer presently im in hyderabad. I cant even recharge my account.       I am very upset about your service, for the last 2 years i am using airtel the signal coverage s very weak inside my home so many times i complained about that with the customer care but there is no use, pls take necessary action to solve my problem.my no is [protected]

      I trust this (Airtel) brand very much but first time their executives deceive me. I applied for a new connection, Executives visited at my home, without telling me that they are going to give me new # (i.e. they skip my choice number privilege) they got done forms sign. I got a call from the customer satisfaction survey and they denied to note down my complaint, they inform me I will be charged 500/- Rs for my choice number now. I think Bharti Enterprises started Hiring Experience Govt. people. It’s my mistake that I have chosen 6 months plan and paid 6 months money in advance.

        Hi,

        I am user of Airtel post paid connection since 2008. Today one SMS came telling that,"Thanks for downloading rendeep sunny from airtel. You have been charged Rs.99/-". I didn't downloaded any thing & nothing is in my mobile also related to this topic. I am using Nokia E5.
        Same complain i saw from diffrent user also, I feel now airtel cheating to customers.

        Airtel Bills — Unwanted sms & Unwanted Charges

        I am availing the services of your Mob. No: [protected] since January 2010. I am receiving unwanted sms's from you which disturbs me.Today I have received sms 54321 stating that Rs.99/- shall be charged from me for downloading Cricket Champions Trophy for which I had not sent any request.Another sms has been sent to me from 56363 in terms of which I shall be charged Rs.99/- for Games Club.

        Please note that I dont need any other facility other than making calls & I shall not be liable to pau any other charges other than call charges as per the plan for which I have applied.

        Please take action immediately failing which I will have no option but to shift to some other Service Provider

          Dear Mr Mittal,

          This is to draw your attention to my Airtel DTH with customer ID [protected]. This connection has not been working since since Aug 19. I registered a complaint on Aug 20, 2012 morning and since then have been following up daily on customer care for resolution of this issue. It is 25th Aug today and no resolution has been made. I have also written several emails at customer care. Everytime i get a response that your compliant has been registered. The airtel engineer did finally make a visit 2 days back but they have not been able to resolve the issue and neither are we getting any response from airtel. I fail to understand how airtel is different than any local cable operator. I am sure, the cable operator would have fixed the issue by now. I have also connected with Lucknow regional service head but no respite. This is utter harassment and that too when we are paying the money. Would expect a resolution by earliest. I can go for alternate service but I want Airtel to pay for my new connection and also refund the money for last few days for which the TV has not been working.             My Airtel mobile number is[protected]. Day before yesterday i received a message that " AT - AIRINF Thank you for choosing Job Alerts" and " You have been charged Rs. 1.5 for 1 day" . But I didn’t subscribe any Job Alert and immediately contact to Airtel Customer care executive Ms. Sarojini. She assured that to credit the amount. After I received a msg. that “your amount is credited to your account”.
            Yesterday and today again they charged Rs.1.5 for the same.I keep getting message from AT - AIRINF
            I don’t know how it was happened without any subscription how they deduct the amount from my number. Its a kind of pilferage. The Airtel company always making harm to the customer. If the same will be continued i will switch over to some other mobile company.

              I have a prepaid airtel connection.[protected]

              I regularly get SMSs for which I am charged Re.1.
              For eg: 25/08/2012 at 12: 56 From AIRINF
              I get the following message: Thanks for downloading Easy search from Airtel. You have been charged Re. 1.0

              The point is that my phone was locked when the message pinged.
              I have not subscribed/downloaded anything. Why should I pay be forced to pay.
              To un-subcribe I am forced to pay Rs. 2.0 sometimes.
              This is unethical and to my mind does not seem a legal way of making money.They send these to millions of people, most feel one re. is not worth making a fuss about, but I think this is a scam which runs into millions.

                Recently I got an email stating that they have revised my rates from Rs750 to Rs800. They have not provided any sufficient notice nor has communicated ahead of time. I receive the bill with the revised rates all of a sudden. What can be done for this?

                Airtel BroadBand And Landline — False and Illegal billing

                We are using Airtel broadband services and Airtel sales team activated GOD by there own without our concern from January 2011, they are charging 199 Rs for GOD Service that was never activated by our side

                we are asking them to provide the proof where in we activated the service and they failed to provide this is a complete illegal process done by airtle boradband.

                Now I am going for a consume forum as they are not providing the proof of activation done on my phone.

                I want my money back since Jan 2011 till date, after a long fight they revered back the GOD amount for 2 months only but I need the full amount and the proof also.

                  This is to inform you that the airtel land line number [protected], had some
                  issues and your executive had come to my office and i had made full and final it the
                  bill due with no fault of mine of Rs.1750 dated 18.8.12, the same day i get a call from
                  another executive regarding the same issue for the balance payment, i informed them
                  about it above the payment made but are not ready to understand , i disconnected the
                  call , next day i.e on 20.8.12 i get a call again to continue the connection and offers me
                  to wave Rs. 1000/- from the bill due around Rs.2600, i nformed them about the
                  payments made , they tell me they will get back to me to resolve the issue, again in the
                  evening of 20.8.12, i get a call that they will wave the complete amount of Rs.2600
                  approx, and asked me to continue the above line .

                  Now i don’t understand what is going on as different executive offers me different
                  way to continue the connection , but i feel i have been cheated by airtel by asking me
                  to pay the amount of Rs.1750, and then offering me the waving of the amount ???????
                  Please let me know what ever happen with me is right from the airtel point of view. or
                  i have been misguided....

                    Airtel Digital TV Recharge — Non recharge of TV account

                    Dear Sir

                    I have recharged my Digital T.V Account No. [protected] and payment made through website paytm.com . Amount of Rs. 1590 have been deducted from my account and Ref. No. is 143498. The payment was made online by debit card.

                    The said amount is not deposited in my digital t.v. account. Airtel personel have requested me to contact you for getting refund of my amount since the amount is not reached to them. The said amount may please be deposited back to my account immediately.

                      having a 3500 connection of Air Tel, in which staff & farmers are having a air tel connections.
                      But we come to know from reliable sources that due to quarrel between lessor & lessee, duo this many of people have to face problem of no network coverage in Mobile. As you well known that at that time man is handicap without mobile.

                        This is Hanumantha Rao.K and my mobile number is xxxxxxxxxx. I am using this number since very long time. and suddenly my number has been de activated by airtel. because of following reasons as expained by Moulali Shaik from Airtel Customer Care.

                        1. Since 45 days i am not using this connection for outgoing calls. and my concern, is it necessary to make out going calls? i have to spend money even i dont have requirement to make outgoing calls? is it valied?
                        2. Since long time i am got recharged the amount. and my concern, is it necessary to recharge? even i have the balance in my account? is it valied?
                        3. And my connection is having life time validity. and my conern, is even i have recharged for life time validity, why the Airtel had deactivated my connection? and what is the meaing of life time validity?

                        So finally, the customer means.. I have to spent money for surviving Airtel, even the life time validity recharged customer doesn't have requirement to recharge the balance or making out going calls.

                        Airtel — Lifetime made Deactivate

                        Hi,

                        This is karthik, My mobile number is [protected] i have taken as simcard lifetime offer, paying 999 scheme but currently they deactivated my number.
                        I don't know why this type of cheating they are doing?

                        AirTel — Life Time Validity

                        I paid for life time validity and got a message on[protected] that the benefits of the lifetime scheme will be activated in the next 72 hours.by sender 121. But it says the validity will expire on[protected]. Does lifetime means this much period only. Surely it does not. The customer is being befooled. Validity should be extended till life.
                        Yes the validity must be for life time if a customer pays once for it.

                        Airtel — Lifetime Number deactivated without consent

                        Dear Sir,

                        I had been using my Airtel prepaid number [protected] since 2004..I had recharged it with life time validity with an amount of Rs. 999 in 2005 my license used to display to be valid till 2021...I also had maintained a balance of Rs. 250 in my account..I used to use this number to connect to internet only and after few months as I was not satisfied with the service I had stopped using GPRS fecility and kept it only to receive/make calls...I had left my phone switched off for the last five months as I was not in kolkata..Today when I turned on the phone it is showing sim card registration failed...I contacted customer service more than 4 times (talked to Joydeep and Kaushik from customer care dept. on 14th Feb at 1:30 in the night) and they are dropping my calls without giving me a resolution and transferring the call to a number which is ringing for more than 5 minutes till the time I am fed up and am disconnecting from my end..Cusotmer service is saying that this number is a new number that has not been registered yet...
                        I still have sms-s from Airtel easy recharge saved in my sim card that proves that this number belongs to me and multiple other messages from Airtel as well...As I had not receievd any call or have not made any calls from this number since quite sometime..they have taken away my balance and are trying to resell the number to someone else...I have the SIM card and sufficient proofs at my disposal...I had paid such a huge amount to make this number a lifetime valid(five years back it was very costly to make a number valid for lifetime)...Please help me on this and let me know if you need any other information like sms registration number etc...

                          As a result of some contest, I am 'awarded' a spam message from AIRTEL's 55558 number. I have been receiving 5-6 Spam SMSs everyday & there is no way to stop that. I have tried sending all keywords like UNSUBSCRIBE, STOP, UNSUB etc. but there is no use.
                          Such services who con the customers for spam should be brought to books and severely punished. I am not sure how to stop this and so writing on this forum. Does anybody have any clue on this nuisance?

                                I had subscribed yrly to airtel digitv Rs.2910/- economy package in 26thOctober 2011 and kept twice in safe custody 15 days n 3 months.where the non utilised period being extended by Airtel. However, now I am received SMS saying that my validity expiring within 5 days hence renew.
                                ID No.[protected]. I had registered 2 complaints on line with company and they said within two days they will attend but more than 3 days Now pl advise me since they told me if you pay yrly subscription I will get 2 months extension accordingly I had paid .

                                Airtel Digi TV — Complaint Successfully closed

                                Without even installation being done....how is it that the complaint is sucessfully closed????




                                For the last one hour your call centre executives are pretending that lines are not clear.
                                So with a phoney accent they start saying HELLO HELLO and disconnect my call.
                                Chandni,Ravi etc etc whatever psuedo names they call themselves....


                                Incase Airtel is too busy they should let me know the same.... and incase service cannot be provided why not refund the money that you are sitting on??

                                Hope your South African customers will be more understanding than we are in India.


                                I have given request for reinstallation of Airtel digital TV at my new address in Bangalore.
                                Each time I give a complaint a new complaint no is generated.

                                Moreover after every call I am given a new appointment date & time
                                . For the last three days( 2nd October to 4th October) I have been given atleast 10 different time slots.
                                Neither is my request processed nor am i getting contact details of any authorised Airtel Service Engineer.
                                This is simply harrassment by Airtel.
                                ( Pl note that all payments regarding this connection IN ADVANCE has been made to AIRTEL).

                                Airtel Digi TV — Additional Service Charges

                                I got Airtel Digi Tv connection last year and I feel my self in cloud 9 after my first service call the exciting thing which I come to know " is for any service call I will be charged 100 Rs. As maintenance of Dish is customers responsibility and any error which requires visit of their guy there is an additional burden of 100 Rs straight away".

                                Now this is good and I can say a very good to make money out of customer and to avoid any unnecessary service call, but these things should be informed to customer when they apply for the connection.

                                Further One more strange thing for intial six months they wont charge any thing but after wards its all chargeable now again this is such a service which doesn't need to have such a warranty ideally the warranty should come as limited number of free service calls to customer rather than giving him a grace period of 6 months.

                                And best thing is that even this is not informed to customer when they apply for the connection.

                                No doubt this can be part be of their service agreement written any where in the document(with * attach to it and we all know the reason of such clauses) but these things should be specifically informed to customer as they informed like subscription charges which they don't do and this is a big cost which can come up later and the strange thing is that if you make 3 service call in a month this will exceed your monthly subscription.

                                So overall an unfair one sided practice by airtel, might be other companies also doing it I don't know.

                                Well I received call from customer care of Airtel now the issue is rather than understanding the problem the are narrowing it down to Visit Charge of 100 Rs.

                                I dont't think they have good people to understand customer concern my advice to those who are coming in to their trap by paying advance rental for DTH services they rather think twice on it.

                                Now coming to monetary aspect you have enjoyed my entire month subscription w/o giving me any benefit out of it, did you ever thought as service provider if there is no services availed the money should be refunded?

                                Well I am enjoying couple of other services from Airtel like my mobile and few others and these also I am going to switch over to other service provider.

                                  Airtel has the most pathetic service among DTH TV providers in Jaipur.

                                  I have this connection for the past one year and I have been consistently facing problems with the broadcast (Signal loss in fair weather when other DTH services are working perfectly fine)

                                  The money you have invested in buying the service is a total loss since there is no refund if you disconnect. (As per their terms and conditions, even the dish antenna and STB are owned by Airtel and they take it away of you disconnect.)

                                  Also, when I compare Tata Sky packages - I am paying more for a similar set of channels in Airtel than what I am in Tata Sky. Not that TSky is perfect, but it is miles ahead in terms of customer service and service quality as compared to Airtel.

                                  Sorry Airtel, you need to get your quality up and invest a little more in getting quality customer service personnel in place.

                                      I have been using airtel service since last 5 years, but from last 2-3 months i am facing a problem of wrongly deduction of money from my account.
                                      I use airtel internet service for which i use to recharge with Rs98 every month or as my package is over but instead of recharging with Rs 98 they charged me for the same from my main account and i lost Rs 80 for that and in last month also i have been wrongly charged for Rs 120 for the same and if i ask to give the details and refund me back my money they neglect it and try to give some baseless reasons such you have downloaded some package. so, i want justice against it and due to wrongly charged my balance were showing Rs0 and that same time i was in need to call and because of i dint make call and i have lost my important thing which was valued most for me so i want the lost amount of Rs10000 back and also the fair justice.

                                      i had recharged with 999 superlifetime card on dec 01,2007. now instead of the promise of Re 1/- i m being charged Rs 2.25/-.i had contacted customer service hundreds of time but there is no response and no clarification received till date. if further i don't receive any clarification i will be compelled to go to consumer court.                                       I am using airtl last 3 years. but today my balance deduct Rs. 15 dated on 10.10.08. I don't no why dedect my balance. when I contact to your customercare Bhawana she could not satisfied me. This is a single handed mobile and i am not activate any service but she said to me that your account has been activate from missed call. some days befor my balance dedect Rs. 28. and I Contact to customercare. and I request him for deactivated missed call.                                       dont trust airtel. They are bull-. Since last two months wenever i call airtel customer care. they always say that the money that was deducted wrongly from their side will be refunded. but they dont. they are thiefs. I rcvd a sms saying ' thanks fr downloading java game'. but i never did. and everytime i call, they say will be refunded. associates like- manoj, chirag, and who the ... Associates have no information. they keep on hold fr lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time and wen are unable to answer then cut the lines. even these associates have no dignity. Airtel is a company where customer is and her/ his problem is given no consideration... such a company should be shut down.
                                      I'm using [protected] mobile number since 28th october 2005 as a corporate connection. It is used to expire on every 27th october. I have made payment for one year advance rental of Rs. 1198 last year which has been expired on 27th october 2008.
                                      After that i have received too many calls for renewal payments but i have asked him that i want to convert it in prepaid in place of postpaid.
                                      Then As per rule it has to be disconnected on that day, but they have imposed Rs. 298 plan with this number without get permission with me. This message was received by me from Shakarpur Outlet, where i was gone there for converting the connection as prepaid in place of postpaid.

                                      I have made rest payment on the time and mailed him for this issue, then airtel's representative came to me and asked that your payment has been waived out and issue me another sim of prepaid.

                                      After that this connection has been activated on 03-12-08. but after that i have received too many calls for the payment which was waived off and also received a letter for the payment and suggest me to contact Mr. Sumit SArkar at [protected], but sorry to say nobody has received or call me back till date.

                                      As per Airtel's rule no convertion has been made without paying any outstanding, so if i'm wrong then how did it be possible.

I was call 29 oct at customer care 121 & complint helpline 198 abot the same he was peovied servive reference CBDPA[protected] resolution time 2 nov.2010 before 2:30 pm ... we are call many time customer care & complaint but he was not provied any resolution & disconnected the call ..I have not will any resolution plz help me
                                      i am a4 year old customer of airtel. but company has charged me for customized concessional tarrif rate. while compnay offers new sim card with lifetime free concessional services. so compnay have to provide all customer a same services.

                                      My mobile no.[protected] balance wrongly debited by the company says its gprs used,but i dont used any vas services so please credit my whatever balance wrongly debited by the system, as i also talked to the 198 complaint no., nodal office, any any cr. of naodal office but they cant realise me, now if my wrongly debited balance not credited to my account i will port my no. to any other company, and in coversation to your customer care service person they said the system is not wrong,but i say your system has any problem yesterday because my account bal is around Rs90. than system diducted Rs39. as gprs charges as i dont used, than again its diducted and my balance come down toRs13, after some minutes again its shows to Rs.25 and after around 10pm i call std no.its discinnected says your account bal is RS0. and after 10 min i again dailed same std no. again i talked and same after 4min its discinnocted and balance check shows balance of Rs3.28 what the your system u talked. and between this procedure i send sms to your tollfree no 121 'LAST' its shows last 5 vas transaction deduction, but its shows u dont have any such tranacation
                                      so i wait for your reply otherwise i will port my number

                                      With reference to phone no.[protected]

                                      i have plan with the 199, and normally i received bill for 500-700 which are my normally used.

                                      but this month they have billed for the RS 2596 as data uses. but i really ddi not uses data like this

                                      i am using 2G internet, its almost 4 times of my regular bill

                                      2nd i am not a fullies whi using 2g internet for such amount

                                      Kindly assist
