[Resolved] Airtel — MNP rejected by airtel prepaid
I requested MNP from my airtel prepaid to Tata Docomo postpaid on 21-01-11 and got unique porting number aa1135h2. I have been told by tata docomo that airtel has rejected stating contractual obligation. I have conacted airtel customer care and they have no idea about it and tata docomo say it has been rejected by airtel and they have to approve. I don't know what contact a prepaid customer has with airtel, I have been using it since 4 years and its on my name. kindly fix the issue Murali M [protected] Was this information helpful?

@ Mr. Murali.
I just had the same experience. It took me atleast 6 diallings to finally talk to a customer care officer at full length.
Neither the call center not the service center have any clue why a port out request is rejected. Surprisingly Airtel has a toll-free number for MNP ([protected]) where the only answer the customer get is 'Sorry sir, we dont have the information here'. Then why this toll-free number for MNP ???
I have only received an SMS saying that my request is rejected for 'Legal Reasons'. I had been running from pillar to post for the past 6 days to know what this 'Legal Reason' is.
@ Mr. Rakesh and Airtel Presence
I read many of your responses. All of them says, 'we are working on it', 'we will get back soon', 'give us some more time' etc. etc. I failed to see even one post where you have stood up and solved a customer's problem.
I suppose the job of Airtel Presence is pretty easy... just have some pre-written messsages ready and paste them here according to the customer query.
I really do not understand the sentence written as by-line near your signature:
"Connect with us 24X7 and we will be happy to assist you with a swift resolution to your queries on all our products and services"
Mr. Murali had posted this on 31st January 2001 and on 6th February 20011 (after 6 days) you are asking him some more time. Is this what you mean by 'Swift Resolution' ????? If you cannot live up to that tag-line, please either remove it or edit the same to suit your service levels.

@Rakesh Ranga
I didn't not get any call from airtel, let me know your mobile number and email, I will call you for free don't worry.
I have emailed to airtel presence and a auto generated email has come immediately and no solution has been done. and called several times to your customer care and no solution.
quote the compliant number if your team which you say, is working on my problem.

Airtel — Airtel rejecting MNP 9840406878
I have applied the MNP request to Airtel for my number [protected]. The airtel executive said the Airtel would reject postpaid MNP. So I applied for migrate the Airtel postpaid connection to Prepaid connection, Since I am using the number more than 7 years. After converted to prepaid, they rejected my MNP request. Since I had to wait 90 days. After that I requested MNP but they are rejected my request and not answering properly. Also they stopped all my services. Even I cannot call to customer care, 198 and stopped GPRS services.
They called me and warned that they will cut all the services for this number. Still I am not able to migrate. Trying this for more than 5 Months. :(
How to file consumer complaint through court?
Is there any point of contact in TRAI?
Regards,
Srinivasan

And airtel doesn't even call back..this is not the way to treat customers.
And you just keep a comment that you are processing the problem, if so why dont you keep your mobile number and email rather than airtel care email ??
