Dear Sir,

I was holding Airtel landline phone number[protected] with internet facility. For the last two months internet was working intermittently. Despite several requests and complaints, Airtel did not rectify the problem. Every time they tried to persuade us to continue with the service assuring that the complaint will be resolved.

Finally, fed up with Airtel’s false promises and poor response to resolve the problem, I decided to discontinue with the phone and internet facility. My complaints 41276262 dated[protected], 41504638 dated[protected] and 41627470 dated[protected] and e-mail to [protected]@airtel.in dated 10/01/2011 is reproduced at the end of this mail.

I received a bill of Rs1081/- to be paid for the month of December 2010. I received a call from a supposedly Airtel executive to pay the bill before disconnection. On enquiry about the security deposited by me the executive informed that I had given a cash security deposit of Rs500/- After much haggling the executive agreed to adjust the amount of Rs500/- with the bill amount.

On checking my documents I found a security deposit receipt of Rs850/- also.

On 24 Jan 2011 I received several calls from[protected]. A girl was on line, who refused to disclose her identity insisted upon me to deposit the full amount of Rs1081/- to settle the bill. She verbally assured that Rs1350 (500+850) would be refunded within 24 hours of deposit of Rs1081/- I requested her to send an e-mail assuring the refund within 24 hours. She refused to send the confirmatory mail and threatened that if I do not pay up Rs1081/- in cash then Airtel will continue billing me and I will have to pay much more.

As such I have lost faith in Airtel services and can not rely on just a phone call saying that my deposit will be refunded. I am also not sure if the phone call is from bonafide Airtel office or from someone else.

Subsequently, the phone instrument and the modem were collected by an Airtel executive on[protected].

I request your good self to intervene in the matter for the following:

• Arrange to get my refund
• Arrange to get a formal letter of disconnection from Airtel
• Protect users from threats by Airtel
• Penalize Airtel for the not providing satisfactory services but charging the users
• Accept discontinuation request from users without any hassles
• Provision to discontinue service by simply sending an IVR code from Landline number
• Immediate refund of security money after adjustment of bill amount
• Penal action in case o[censored]se of threatening language by Airtel
• Method of identification to ensure that the call is being originated from bonafide office and member of Aitel

    My name is Santosh Kumar Pandey & mobile no - [protected], i have used airtel prepaid with 2.5 years
    company have been many times activate services without my request & notification and then after charged, every time i complaint & get return charges, in last month airtel activate "Jokes" on sms
    service without my request then after my balance is going on minus, Company charges Total Rs 35/-.

    Please take strict action against such type of wrong mall & theft practices.

    My name is vikas arya & mobile no.-[protected], i am using your airtel company prepaid since 2 years.
    i thought its a perfact company and it is. but i am facing lots of problems using this services since 2 month
    many unwanted services are activated from your side automaticaly.every time i complaint & get return charges, in this month airtel activate a [censored] service of (mobile t.v.) without any request and then cut the balance 60 rupees from my account. and now i am trying to stop the services and get return my charges but airtel customer care executive are not picking my call and some times they pick and put me hold for long time.so i am very angry please give me the right solution & solve my problems, ok thank you sir.

    Airtel always activate any service and detuct money. Pls deactivate my Airtel talkies service. my airtel no.[protected].
    I am not use this service. Because I am not interested this/other service. Airtel no inform me to which service activate but deduct to 10Rs after ten days.

    having 3 connection from airtel and facing several issues with service and because of it i taken decision to convert postpaid connection to prepaid connection. i written email to airtel and they said me that u need to visit customer care again pathetic people, said me that it's easy to convert postpaid to prepaid by filling one form and then within 3 hours it will converted. and i reconfirmed with them and left the place. same night my connection was deactivated and till next 2 days it was deactivated and when i again visit the center that guy given me bla bla reasons and next day it was activated. and now it was again deactivated and asking me my documents not reached with them and not verified. now tell me from last 3 years i have this connection with me and i was regular billing customer for airtel and this connection was not transfers to any one only converted from postpaid to prepaid and Airtel needs verification and re documentation for the same. why not this information passed me while conversion?

    Airtel is really doing and customer care is worst service. even they can not pass the right information to questioners. and ask to visit personally to customer care. if that is the case then close your tale customer service. as i suffering pathetic service from last 3 years and this is again a corporation connection,

      Hello there,

      I've bought Airtel Rs.251 internet pack on 05-Dec-2010 that provides 8GB allowance with a validity of 3 months. However the validity got expired on 16-Jan-2011. This was pack was bought for the mobile number +91 [protected].

      After having series of discussion with Airtel customer care for around 3 hours the problem was not resolved. So far I felt Airtel is the Number One for Customer Service in the Telecom sector in India. But this proved that even after so many promises (which proved to be false) from customer care agent no solution has been provided to me.

      Kindly take this complaint as means to probe in to the situation and take appropriate action against Airtel.

        I was using airtel landline number, internet connection and IPTV (Rs999 plan)before march 2009 in sector 15 noida. Phone number[protected]. In march 2009 end I made a request to shift my connection to a new address in sec-71 noida. I was informed that since airtel has no network in sector 71 noida so I can shift the number so I made a request for account closure. I was informed that I will receive a call for account settlement. But I didn't receive any call. I made atleast 3 followup on customer care number in April 2009 first week and each time I was informed that I will receive a call from them soon, which I never got. Then I received my bill for month of march and april(23 march to 22nd april 2009) which was around Rs. 600 which was less than the regular bill(999+taxes+ phone bill). I thoght that my account is closed and I have receive a bill on prorata basis for 23 march to 30 march 2009. And I maid the payment.

        In july 2009 I started getting call from airtel that I have a overdue of more than Rs. 2000. Several times I have explained the situation to people from airtel who make call to me. But I am still getting call and threat that I have to pay my bill or face the consequnce.

        Since it was airtel's inability to provide me connection on new address, they should refund me IPTV installation charges(Rs 3499+taxes). But I have not rceived any refund.

        Should I complain against airtel in consumer forum or some other authorities. Please advice.

            We are having 2 phone connections, 2 broadband of airtel since 2007. Last September we had a couple o[censored]nresolved issues with 1 broadband and we decided to terminate it.

            When we gave request for termination, there was a proper response and they offered us a retention plan of 2mbps with unlimited usage. We accepted the offer and till 3 days back Jan 24th 2011, it was perfect.

            Suddenly my speed was dropped down to 1mbps. Upon calling customer care, I got a response that my plan has only 1mbps speed and its like that. To get a written confirmation, I emailed Airtel customer care,

            Their reply cutting out the automated part

            We would like to inform that currently your line is active under Combo
            499 unlimited plan with effect from 13/01/2010 as per our records. The
            broadband speed under this plan is 1Mbps up to 5 GB usage per month.

            They are saying I am in that plan since 13/1/2010, but as a fact I was put into retention ONLY on October 2010. That itself is wrong

            Again I emailed nodal and a lady called up. She heard the whole story, she said she would call back after somtime.

            After few hours, she called up and said, I was on a 1mbps plan and I am still on 1mbps plan and I was getting 2mbps because of a topup which they have cancelled now.

            This is truly pathetic, how can they cancel like that. First of all the person who called me and gave the retention offer never told me it was a topup and the validity was limited.

            Hoping for a resolution, I sent an email to appellate authority after the resolution time of nodal officers desk.

            A guy called up (not sure if it was a response to nodal team again or the appellate itself)
            He repeated the same words as the other lady said. That we have cancelled the offer and that I cannot give you the 2mbps plan / topup and If you want go and take the other plans in website.

            So far this is the worst customer service I have got, as a customer and from a customers point of view, retention plan which has no details on the website, I have no ways to confirm the details of it. So i believed what the airtel executive committed to me

            In fact I got the plan properly without any billing issues for 3 and half month. All of a sudden, without any intimation, not even an email or sms, Airtel cancelled offer. Even on calling customer care, they have no information.

            I have over a couple of mobile lines, phone lines and 2 broadband connections with airtel. I informed them that I would be moving my mobiles through MNP and shift the broadband if this is the way airtel treats its customers. The reply the guys gave was, "YES YOU CAN GO AHEAD AND TERMINATE"

            Heights of pathetic customer service. I just hope this remains an isolated incident for other customers, but I would not recommend anybody to go for airtel broadband in my region alone. In chennai and pune, my offices having Airtel are far better than this.

            I am also facing the same problem now.. I was offered this retention plan of 499 rental on January 2011. Till this month everything was okay, but now they have hiked my rental usage to some other plan. When I asked CC how can they force a customer to migrate to a higher rental plan, they said Airtel has withdrawn 499 rental plan now. I told them even at the time of they offering me this retention plan in January 2011, this plan was never mentioned on their website or else where. When they could offer me this plan then, now how can they say they don't have this plan anymore now.

            It's a cheap trick of looting more money from customers by hiking the monthly rental and forcing the customers to pay more..Never thought Airtel would be doing this to customers who are being with them for 8 LONG YEARS!!!

                I have brought a Airtel mobile prepaid connection.. aftre activating the mobile i realized that airtel has got a way to earn money by activation value added services automatically.
                Even i am deactivating the services aftre 1 or 2 days it will activate automatically and I am receiving a SMS saying thank you for activating the value added services.

                when i called the customer care. I got a nonsense reply saying that I am requesting for activation. and the funny thing is activation is happening when my mobile is switched off. I use to switch off my mobile all the time and when i switch on my mobile i can see my Balance is redused for each activation.

                Is it possible to activate the value added services while mobile is switched off ?

                I feel that this needs t be stoped and govt should take strong action against these people other wise one fine day you will receive a SMS saying thank you for choosing Airtel under Mobile number Portability eventhough you have not requested for it.

                Airtel Prepaid — AUTO ACTIVATION OF VALEU ADDED SERVICES

                VALUE ADDED SERVICES ARE ACTIVATED ON MY CELL NO.WHICH ARE UNWANTED TO ME.
                I HAD ALREADY REQUESTED TO AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE EXICUTIVE COUPLE OF TIMES REGARDING THIS SUBJECT,ONCE IT HAD DEACTIVATED & YESTERDAY RAMDEV BABA'S HEALTH TIPS HAVE BEEN ACTIVATED BY AIRTEL BY ITSELF,WHICH IS NOT REQUIRED TO ME.
                I Agree, my balance too got deducted for the same service.
                This happens evrey week, some or the other service gets activated without myself sending any SMS or calling/or attending any calls.
                please look into this matter.

                Airtel Prepaid — Auto Cricket service activation

                Dear Sir/Madam

                I am using Airtel prepaid services and my number is [protected] which I am using as a Landline.
                I had activated DND services on 13/11/2009 Reg Num (S[protected]).
                But still Getting promotional SMS.
                Speacial I am fed up with the (cricket score update services).
                This service activated about 3 times whenever there is a match this service activated itself.
                I had complaint about the same to Airtel. But only getting solution to contact near Airtel Gallary.
                And the closest Airtel Gallary is about 30KM from my house.
                I stay at Mumbra and Gallary is in Thane and Mulund.
                And there is no use of going to gallary because I will be getting no resolution.

                I am having hope on Consumer Complaint forum that this will be resolve sooner and no other person will have same issue in future.

                Yes it is 100% true. I am also getting regular cricket updates from Airtel prepaid sms services which i never asked for. They are cutting Rs.1 per day. I tried to stop. But they don't receive the message deliberately. They send sms from 1210 and the next second when you reply they are not available. I called costumer care but I didn't get any positive response.

                Second problem that I have is one day I found my balance Rs 30 less than it should be and I called costumer care. I talked to Mr Jagmohan, Miss Priyanka (Mohali Chandigar Costumer Care). and I got negative response from both. Mr. Jagmohan was not ready to talk politely. He was talking very rudely.

                What I found was I have visited some link related to "webactress" but I haven't visited that link and my cell phone was Nokia 1210 which is not GPRS compatible.


                Seriously I am not happy with Airtel service. I am getting disturbed by these irritating sms alerts..

                I want to deactivate my services forever is there any way to do this... because I know If in any case my one service get deactivated you will cheat for another and this process will not stop as I am getting right now..

                Airtel Prepaid — auto activation

                i am anup from durg,my numbar is [protected],since last 3 days airtel charge me RS 75 for game club,5 rs for java gclub subscription, friendschat service 10Rs,and same for shaheli service, astrology,hello tune,and radio night pack also.

                customer care executive say that you have activated this service,but i didnt.

                so please help me,they can not give me proper information,

                i want my money back and take a some action on airtel about this kind of chiteeing bussines.

                Very painfully telling that Aittel mobile service is headache for me . Everyday I compel to register my compliant to you for cut of my money without taking any facilities. yesterday night my balance rs 120/90 then I exit the message of browsing service then I found my balance Rs 60/ It is big setback & cheating for loyal customer. Your service [ 121 ] is saying press 5----4&then 1 & saying If you are taking officer for 3 minute charge 0.50 paise & thank you for call what is this Plz regard the customer & obey atticate . Now I am deciding recharg only of rs 10/ & taking other co . plz retrun this money atonce . Any pinching talks say sorry .

                An automatic activation o[censored]nwanted services like hello tunes is activated at june 13th and they deducted rs 45 .I Called to customer care many times but there is no response from service provider side.

                Airtel Prepaid — AUTO ACTIVATION OF SERVICE

                On 29/08/2011 , Airtel service debited the amount for activating Value added service on [protected] which i have not asked for. The company is going on making lots of bucks by just debiting customers without them asking for any services. For calling customer care also now we have to pay the money and they don't come on the line also quickly so we have to pay more. I think that since they are not getting many new subscribers and old one are going to other service providers , the company has started this techniques to collect the fund from the existing customers. On calling they are refusing to repay the amount they have dedcuted.
                I agree that now a days mobile service providers are basically depending on customers hard earned money deducted by fraud. They don't provide service which you need but charge for the service not provided.
                They find it difficult to pay the salary to their employees and hence collect the money this way

                  from 2 days i have problem on iptv
                  and the problem is channels are taking around "20 SECONDS" to change
                  i guess airtel iptv has started new format to display the information of every channel after changing it....this causes delay in changing the channel

                  and second problem is information is not correct which is shown
                  for example- if i am watching sony then information will b displayed for zee tv

                  i request you to please solve this problem......

                  and a heartly request to remove the format of showing information(AUTOMATICALLY)

                  I have the same issue with IPTV as discussed above. Initially we were advised by the airtel representatives to be patient as per them the firmware update is in process and will take around 3-5 days. But after waiting for about a week we again contacted the customer service and the resolution this time was that the automatic channel description display process is now bieng reverted back which is actually the major cause for the delay in changing channels and we need to wait till 15 feb.
                  So now I am still waiting for the day to come...lets see what happens.

                  For past one month there is f..king change in Airtel IPTV. When I purchased it six month back, I was happy as I was not seeing banner when channels are changed, now some f..king manager at top decided to copy TataSky or similar service and every time you switch channel it'll be jammed for next 20 seconds until that banner disappear. Some f..king s/w engineer did this development and some f..king tester cleared it. I'm f..king and waiting for banner to go away and can only change 3 channels in a minute now. I'm forced to see some f..king scary scene in front of my daughter and some f..king scene in front of mother as channel does not switch even if I change the channel if they had shown me this feature first I would have never dropped TataSky. I talked with Customer care, some of the guys even came in but they say it is back-end problem and they cannot do anything. Airtel are you hearing it, if you really want to remain in business, get this fu.king mess resolved. Dont try to fool me talking to me or me as you can fix this problem from backend only.

                  You small customer care boys dont try to paste predefined message here and try to fool that you are working, which you are not. Talk with your f..king manager and escalate it. If you really resolve it, it should be resolved when I switch on my set of box.

                  who the f..k are you who is saying your problem is solved? When it is solved all IPTV customers will be knowing. Whoever reads this thread just talk with a known airtel IPTV guy and find out whether it is really resolved other than relying some anonymous assurance
                  I have had the same problem ever since i have had IPTV.. the response is way too slow when i try to do anything with the remote.. the customer care says its normal for IPTV to be slow... I have to wait atleast 5-10 seconds to be able to do anything on the menu..

                    Hi,

                    I had applied for MNP request on 24th of Jan 2011 by sending an SMS to 1900 & had received the IUnique Porting ID AX326656.

                    Airtel had rejected the MNP request saying Non Payment of Bills. Although i have an ECS mandate provided & for the past 6 years the payment is happening they have rejected the request.

                    Earlier the customercare from Airtel called me & had asked for the reason of shifting. I had clearly informed that lack of 3G facility & no clarity on the bills & charges levied by Airtel. for which they offered me a change of plan & discount of 15% on my bill for the next month. I had informed them clearly that my MNP will depend on the 3G tariff & if it's high then i'll submit my application for MNP. They never mentioned about bill payment.

                    I need your help in resolving this & to go out of the lousy telecom company which cheats Customers in all kind of fraudulent way. I'm sure there are plenty of other people with similar issue. We collectively inform the TRAI & also file a Case against AIRTEL.

                    Sub : Complaint against Airtel Cellular operator for
                    not allowing shifting to Vodafone as per Mobile
                    Number Portability allowed by the Government

                    With reference to the above this is to inform you that from 20th of Jan 2011 Government of India has officially allowed Mobile Number Portability.

                    Accordingly, because of signal problem & poor quality service, I had applied for shifting my operator from existing Airtel to Vodafone.

                    In this connection, I had used Port Code SMS and applied to Vodafone Company on 21st Jan 2011.

                    On same day night I got one SMS from Vodafone stating that my number portability was not being accepted by Airtel stating that they should receive transitional payment, which I had made by cash immediately.

                    Now the Airtel Operator is still refusing to shift operator.

                    Since, Government of India has officially allowed MNP. This act of refusal by Bharati Airtel is Anti-Government, Anti-Customer & un-ethical business practice.

                    I therefore request for your assistance in shifting my operator, as per existing Government of India’s Policy.

                    I have applied to port from Airtel [protected] to Vodafone due to bad signal, and my porting code is AA137558. I applied on 20/01/2011, and Airtel has rejected my request of MNP and I received the following message.
                    "Request AA137558 dated 27/01/2011 has been rejected by your current operator due to subsisting contractual obligation from the subscribers agreement. Please contact your current operator for further details".
                    When I visited their relationship center at Visakhapatnam, the staff were so arrogant, and they challenged to give complaint against them. They even refused to tell their presiding officer, nor their names. Especially one girl with Name Madhavi or Madhuri I don't remember her name exactly.
                    Today also I faced the same situation. They were not ready to solve the problem nor interested to talk to Vodafone staff, and in addition they are challenging.
                    I spoke to their Nodal officer, and he is also not ready to take any action in this regard, and he says that it takes time.
                    Despite computerization, Airtel staff are unfit to complete their task on one pretext or the other.

"Sorry, o.facebook.com is only supported by sel;ect mobile carriers and is not available from your mobile carrier. If you are contacting your mobile carrier ,mention that your ip address 223.177.50.4 is not supported". i dont how this is possible, if it is avalable for rest then y not me..??

                        AirTel — dsl usage

                        i have got my airtel number{[protected]} and account number{16142034} but i couldn't access my account in www.airtel.in..my login ID is alisha.[protected]@gmail.com and password is akanksha8...i wan't airtel to resolve this problem as soon as possible....
                        i want to check my daily dsl usage...
                        firstly make the customer fully aware of all the charges and taxes you airtel people are charging also what are the dsl usage charges
                        We are a company and have fixed line connection with unlimited broadband connection a plan of 1499 rental. Airtel whenever generates a bill charges Rs.100 for DSL USAGE CHARGES.

                        Kindly clear my doubt for this charge.
                        airtel has been cheatring customers by charging DSL usage charges. I am planning to take them to consumer court. without customer's consent they are charging for gaming and other activities. This DSL usage charge is one such con job by these guys. Shame on airtel

                        I also got dsl charges from airtel of 170 rs. I am using ipad tablet and can't even use the antivirus which they are claiming that i have downloaded. After arguing for 5 min we can remove it. But this is really unethical that if a customer doesn't note then it would be beneficial for airtel. Why can't telecom companies generate correct bills.

                        I received several call to upgrade from My Pan to the Next Level. I have Denied their request, even then they have upgraded my plan and charging me with additional charges. I made a complaint but never got an answer from them. Now for the past 5 Months I noticed that My DSL Charges are 85/- and eventually this Month it has been increased to 170/-.
                        Same with me. My current month bill comes with an added DSL Usage Charges of amount 384.00. This is absolutely nonsense to produce such kind of charges.

                        Can we have any regulation to stop such kind o[censored]nwanted and without-notifying charges?

                        What is dsl charges?
                        I have used Airtel broadband for several months and I find that they invariably add a certain sum under the head "DSL usage charges". Currently the amount is Rs.85/=. This may strike you as odd as most plans are currently with unlimited download. If your were to inquire with their call center, you would be told that this for a service called PC Secure. The charges are added whether or not you have opted for this service. And with best updated security solutions on their PC, few people need it today.

                            Hello.

                            This post is another step to ensure that consumers are not deprived of what they are promised and hence in persuasion of "consumerism" as our Economic ideology.

                            A copy of the same will therefore be sent to government authorities and concerned associations.

                            This is not a complaint as a complaint by nature is an issue addressed with the intention to resolve. However, since I've switched to vodafone now, I don't intend to get these resolved for myself. Nevertheless, am writing this mail pro bono publico with the sole intention to bring it to your notice the quality of service that customers are being provided with and harassment that they have to undergo to get their issues resolved.

                            Accordingly, the set of issues in light of circumstantial facts are being reiterated below:

                            1. Poor Network Quality

                            I reside in an apartment in Thaverekere main road, bangalore and while I was in the lift, I lost access to network and my phone was always on "search mode".
                            Also inside my office premises, the network strength used to be very poor and hence call quality was below reasonable and acceptable standards. I had complained of this at various occasions to the customer care executive both over phone and in person at Relationship centre, Koramangala but in vein.

                            2. Short Messaging System (SMS)

                            On an average basis, I send around 60 texts a day to local as well as National inter network/intra network numbers. On more than 30 times a day, SMS sending failed, thus out of the 60 texts that I sent, I had to re send 30-35 texts twice or thrice. For each of these texts, my phone returned a response that said, "Sending failed, network out of order". This certainly indicates a flaw in packet radio connectivity and on repeated complaints, the company refuses to respond to it and resolve the same.

                            3. Value Added Services and Tele-Marketing

                            I had opted for DND (Do Not Disturb) registration in my application form despite which, in gross neglect of that choice, I continued to receive about 5-6 promotional offers through text messages and phone calls each day. I had to register myself yet again on the DND list via the government portal of India.
                            As for the VAS, subsequent to my registration on DND, though I did not receive any promotional text messages or calls, some "promotional and Value added packs" were activated on my number and in pursuance thereof, a certain amount of balance got deducted from my prepaid account. I had to file several complaints and request customer care executives to credit the deducted balance to my account and to de activate such value added packs. Though the latter part was resolved in as much as my value added services were de activated, the company failed to credit that balance to my account.

                            4. Customer care

                            While it is mandatory vide the TRAI rules and DoT directions to provide to the customer/subscriber with the option of instant 24*7 customer care connectivity option, the company has defaulted in doing so because as a subscriber/customer I could not connect to the customer care three out of the five times I called the helpline number. It should not be disputed that poor connectivity to the help line number tentamounts to failure on part of the company to comply with the aforementioned rules. In addition, I was charged for calls to 121 that were not even attended by a customer care representative.
                            Also, at occasions on which I spoke to the customer care representative/executive, they seemed to be incompetent, less informed and failed to resolve petty issues (not listed herein) that I had. They did not even know of recharge denominations and seemed to have a standard response of "Your issue is escalated..it should be resolved soon".

                            5. Activation of BlackBerry Internet Services (BIS)

                            This was the major highlight of all issues that I experienced with Airtel. On 17th of November, 2010 when my number was activated, I tried to activate BIS immediately thereafter. However, I was told by the operator representative that I can not activate the same before the elapse of 24 hours post activation of a new number. Subsequent to a patient wait, when after 32 hours of my activation, I tried activating BIS, I got a text message response that said, "New customers please wait for 24 hours". To my disappointment, I had to wait for another 24 hours for activation but despite the wait, the operator still refused to activate my services. Thereafter, to resolve the issue, I spoke to a representative at the Relationship centre, Koramangala and was told that, "it will take 5 days for activation of BIS on new numbers". This was quite clearly different from what the company website stated. Since I was in urgent need of BIS to access my official mails while being out of office, I had opted for Airtel BIS on the sole basis of the information provided by the website: that on new numbers BIS will be active only after 24 hours. Nowhere otherwise is it provided that BIS cannot be activated before 5 days. This highlights the discrepancy within the company's internal domain and is unacceptable.
                            However, after I had the privilege of BIS, I continued to use it for two months when on the due date of rental for the fourth month, the service was deactivated due to insufficient funds in my prepaid account. In order to re-activate the service, I recharged my account the next day to ensure that I have more than required balance fund for BIS. To my utter shock and disappointment, Airtel failed to activate the same despite the required balance.
                            Thus, there was an issue that warranted immediate attention by the service provider. However, to bring it to the notice of service provider, I had to call the customer care number (7070 - BBerry customer care) to which I could not connect. I tried calling the standard customer care line on 121, but they did not have any "idea of BlackBerry services". When after several trials, I connected to BlackBerry customer care from my phone, a representative told me that the issue was "escalated to the pre paid department" and will take time. On asking how much time should it take to resolve the issue, I was told 24 hours, though the representative made it clear that he could not "commit anything"! Yet again, I was left with no other option but to visit the relationship centre at Koramangala, where I was told the same thing. I waited for two days thereafter before switching to another operator.


                            The above issues clearly makes it evident that Quality of Service is poor. It is one thing to have issues with the service provider, but to not have a solution to it is an escalation thereof.

                            I hope that by this mail, voices of large number of subscribers would be heard and the company takes initiative to cure the disease that would soon lead to its downfall because in Indian Economy where consumerism is the ideology, brand loyalty would not negate poor service for long.

                              Now Whom should i say about this.I have said hundreds of time for my closing of sim [protected], but no attention is given. As airtel is running on our money, if i wish i can ask everyperson in our society to close thier airtel sims but no i am giving last chance. Though i am Ex.M.L.A , but i don,t wish to make violence.

                              I called up customer regarding deduction in my balance they told me its bcoz of the NOP(net on phone) service activated on my phone.I told them I haven't activated the service as my customer care service was not working from the last 10 days.I had opted for night package and that service was not activated instead of that my nop service was activated. I told the agent on the customer care to deactivate the service he took my request (as he said on the phone). But the next two days the service was activated without my notice and then i received a message which states that I am being charged for the service. I called up customer care again and mention to them the incident they told me that the service will be deactivated within 6 hours and I'll get my refund back within 48 hrs. I haven't got my refund yet and whenever I call customer care they just say "sorry. We cant refund your money back" and keep down the phone. And then you will come to know that your customer care service is blocked for calling number of times to customer care.

                              Airtel Mobile — Poor service and no attention to complaints

                              I own an Airtel connection 9xxxx85158 since last many months. This connection was taken with a SI to debit my credit card. IN MArch I was contacted for non payment of bill which I informed the caller of the connection being on SI.

                              Next month I noticed my bill carry a late fee and was surprised at a SI payment which Airtel has to execute being charged on late fee. Given that they had a Standing Instruction to charge my card I realised they have been wrongfully charging my card for last fees since 2008.

                              This continued till this month and Airtel has charged more than Rs.600 in late fees and have not addressed any complaint made by me starting in April for which I do not have the number but many others in MAy and june after which I started recording my complaint nos.
                              [protected] dated 25/6,[protected] dated 11/7,[protected] dated 31/7 and[protected] dated 31/7 and[protected] dated 18/8. Instead of resolving the compain they have closed all complaints given by me and barred outgoing calls on the number.

                              This is highhandedness by the company, wrongfully charging me more than due to them, Not resolving complaints and causing inconvinience by Barring outgoing calls. I am seekinh damages and compensation from the company for mental trauma and incovenience with poor service and wrongful chrging me excess amounts. I needs guidance omn how to approcah consumer counrt for redressal.

                                I have asked for the AIRTEL broadband with the airtel serveice provider on 25.01.2011 and he promised me he'll revert me and install by evening or maximum by 26.01.2011 morningat 9.30 am. He came and took all the relevent documents and Rs 500 in one hour and gave all the reciept even though i had Modem and cable is already connected this money was extra charged. Just a need was to activate. He asked me for extra Rs. 160 for which I did not agree and he just left. I cancelled all my plans and waiting for the people come and install. But when i call i get a rude and indecent reply. Evening i called Mr. Vijay (mob no -[protected]) who was the concerned person. But he didnot pick my call. after 25 - 30 calls when i asked what is this ? he just spoke in a very rude manner. i asked him whethaer its a way to aerve customer ., he refused to response and asked to call his manager and said he cannot install . i said i want to cancell for which he replied, i can go ahead with cancellation . After this i called mangaer 12 times( [protected]) but he just disconnected my calls . i tried from other cell , n he got to know its me n didnot respond. i paid Rs 500 for AIRTEL and still no connection and no hope also. I have all the documents and voice recording of the speech, Kindly help me.

                                    AirTel — unnecessary cutting of balance

                                    this is ravi facing unnecessary deduction from my mobile balance. since march 16, I have been receiving the message "Thanks for using Bolly subscription service from Airtel. You have been charged Rs.10" , "Thanks for using cricket subscription service from Airtel. You have been charged Rs. 10" as such , almost daily reducing my balance. I also called to the number 121 to put forward my complaints. the reply came from them positively that they would unsubscribe whatever the thing may be. Had been happy for a day. then again I started receiving the same messages. I also dialled *321*451# and asked to unsubscribe. I got a reply conveying that the package would be unsubscribed . But it wasnt.

                                    Again I received a message yesterday saying,"Thanks for downloading musicfrom Airtel . You have been charged Rs.30" and another Rs.10 for cricket subscription.especially I receive the messages only between 4 - 5 at morn.It makes me nervous at the very morn. this is really unfair.

                                    I surely assure that I have never ever asked for any such subscriptions. But the thing is getting out of control. I have nearly lost Rs.90 from my balance without any reason neither it proves to be of any use to me. Also the help lines are barred since two days.

                                    I want an immediate action from the other side for you are losing my trust. Or else i have no other go . I will have to discard my name from your customers list. Hope i would receive a good reply.

                                    I, jatin gopal gala, user of [protected] want you to bring in notice that this my second complain for wrongly debting the balance for my a/c.
                                    last time, rs 99 were deducted which was credit after long question answers section. this time again after around a month, my balance is debted wit rs.50 (msg from 54321).
                                    i had kept my balance well below rs99, before activating gprs service so that the amount wont get deduted but what to tell abt airtel brains ...this time it deduced rs 50 from the amount.
                                    My first call was discounted on asking for the complain number………………..(reason)

                                    all the further correspondences should be done in writen and send the copy of it on my email address. airtel is providing the WORST SERVICE till date.

                                    i am using airtel since 6 years.
                                    there customer relation is very bad. and also many times i have notice bad response. and also balance deduction error i have found many times. and there may b many chances where v havnt noticed.
                                    even aftr making pulse billing plan, they deducts normal plan sometime. and aftr complaining they il give many reply like it hasnt activated so n so..... and customer care cuts the fone.

                                    I didnt subscribe for any hello tunes but my balance came from 19 rupees to -9.I recharged again daily money is cutting.I got a message from airtel that I am unsubscribed but also dey are taking my money.

                                    i have airtel prepaid connection [protected] .daily rupees 5 cutting unnecessaryly from my account.i dont accept any offer callertune etc. take my compliant and do some thing.add the cuttings to my account.
                                    they deducted my 15 rs balance unnecessary and customer care executive speak rudely

                                      I am having a mobile service of airtel india with no [protected]. The company has issued bill me for the period 11/10/2010 to 10/11/2010 which have following descreipencies,
                                      1)As per the plan opted by me the sms charge is Rs.0.5/sms the company has levied charge of Rs. 1.00/sms which are sent on 05/11/2010 when I enquire about it the carecentre representative told me that 05/11/2010 was a blackout day but the company has not given me any intimation regarding the blackout day.
                                      2)Company has issued me the bill very late
                                      3)Inspite having a constant correspondance regarding the above disputes the company has not taken right cognisance hence I have not paid the disputed bill amount,but the company has restricted my outgoing facility which is causing lot of trouble to me Plese help me to get justice.

                                      I am having a mobile service of Mtnl Mumbai to Air tel India with mob.no [protected] & .I has change this plain from mtnl to Air tel post paid 249/ Per/Month plan by portability. The company has issued bill me for the period 21/04/2012 to 25/04/2012 which have following discrepancies,
                                      1)As per the plan opted by me the company has levied charge of Rs.249.87. which are sent 5th day bill on 27-Apr-2012. when I inquire about it the carecentre representative told me that you have usage internet 3794 kb.but my mob.net is Off.
                                      2)Company has issued me the bill by 5th day 249.87
                                      3)Inspire having a constant correspondence regarding the above disputes the company has not taken right cognizance hence I have not paid the disputed bill amount, but the company has restricted my outgoing facility which is causing lot of trouble to me Please help me to get justice.

                                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                                        From past one month I am trying to activate my official email account in my Blackberry 9300. I am not able to get it done.

                                        I called customer care, everytime new person lifting the phone and giving same response to try again.

                                        I have done below steps many times but no progress.

                                        1. SMS <airtelbb> to 121
                                        2. SMS <BB3> to 121
                                        3. SMS <WPNP 9300> to 121


                                        Kindly take some action and solve my problem as soon as possible. In case of no sucess then I WILL CHANGE THE SERVICE PROVIDER with(MNP)
