I have a free airtel sim for mobile purchasing in POORVIKA MOBILE SHOWROOM. I have submitted necessary proof like address proof and id proof on the time of collected a SIM in POORVIKA MOBILE SHOWROOM. But within a week again called from airtel and they said disconnect the service since no proper proof received. Once again I have submitted the proof to Airtel Relationship Centre, Chrompet, Chennai.

But my total service disconnected on 08.02.2011 without prior intimation. The submitted proof not transferred from Airtel Relationship Centre to Airtel Head Office.

Some Higher Officer said, the proof not received then only we have disconnected and cancelled the service. No way to activate the same sim.

But I have a balance amount Rs.100/-approx. on my mobile account. That amount also not refunded.

This is a continued problem of most of the people.

Please advise the solution for my problem

    I MADE THE FOLLOWING TRANSACTION WITH MOBILE NUMBER GIVEN BELOW AND RECEIPT produced by ICICI NETBANKING.

    BALANCE WAS NEVER UPDATED. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE and they refused to take any complaint or assist because they cant see any transaction on their side. Even thought i requested them to check more thoroughly.

    THE BANK HAS REFUNDED THE AMOUNT BUT IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT AIRTEL RECHARGE THROUGH ICICI NETBANKING IS NOT WORKING.

    SO OTHER CONSUMERS PLEASE BEWARE OF IT ! AIRTEL AND ICICI SHOULD WORK TOGETHER TO FIX THIS ISSUE.

      I was able to unsubscribe easily...but now i am wondering how i can get the Rs 10/- that they deducted from my account in the first place...Gonna give a piece of my mind to Airtel Customer Service soon :)
      I'm also facing this problem. I don't no how to unsubscribe. I'm giving daily 5/-Rs.with no reason.

        Please help me to resolve my issue.

        we given request on 28th oct 2010 for closing the broadband services, but Airtel havent turnback and not close the connection for 2 month. now they are asking for make the payment of 3500 rs without using the services, For your information i have copied the text of my email which i have sent on 28th oct 2010.

        so please help me to resolve this issue.

            i had ordered a recharge through my icici bank account for Rs.333 on my airtel number [protected]
            in delhi & ncr region.. but i still have not recieved the balance and e-receipt shows payment to be successful.please help me out here as to when i will receive the amount i recharged for..

            I am also facing the same problem. I also recharged my mobile no.[protected] on 21/02/2011 for Rs.444 and Rs.333 vide Transaction ID Nos.[protected] and[protected] through ICICI Internet Banking account and the payment status is successful as per ICICI Bank and amount have been debited to my account but no recharge credit has been given by Airtel. Despite repeated calls and complain s no actio has been done so far.

              Dear Sir / madam,
              Broadband landline telephone No.[protected] is in the name of my wife Ms Parnoop Kaur and has been working regularly since 4 years app. We have been paying the bills regularly and are satisfied with the performance.

              In June 2010 we have moved to Chandigarh and returned back on[protected]. We did pay visits in between but the telephone was not working. We tried to speak to the customer care but no action was taken since we rang up from our mobile phones.

              In the meantime we have paid the bills which came. In December 2010 a bill was received for Rs 1700 but Mr Anil of Airtel[protected] asked us to pay only Rs 700 and promised to get the telephone connection restored. After repeated deliberations the telephone connection was restored on 15th january 2011. But one Mr jagdev from the collections and others keep calling regularly asking us to pay Rs 842 as arrears due while mr anil promised that we will not have to pay. The collections people refused to speak to Mr Anil to clarify the issue. Mr Anil kept giving assurances without any written assurances as demanded by me. Now Mr Anil has been transferred to NCR and another CCE Mr rahul assured me that he will take care. Now we have received a bill asking us to pay Rs 1600 app..

              Thus it will be seen that we are being charged for services not rendered. Kindly let me know the options including seeking legal recourse for harassment and unreasonably charging for services not rendered.

              Airtel Landline Telephone and Broadband — Dead connection

              On 11/12 informed Customer Care Center of Airtel that my land line[protected] is not working properly and Broadband connection is not functioning. On 12th their Service Engineer visited our Flat. On finding heavy noise disturbance in Handset, he spoke to their Area Voice Supervisor. Voice Supervisor came next day and informed that Cable from their Junction Box to our Instrument has low " Copper Value" and they have to change the Cable. As we are living in a 2nd Floor, he said that they cannot change the Cable in the existing Concealed wiring, but will lay a new open wiring. Since I wantred to discuss the routing of the Cable I asked him to advise their Electrician to visit our Flat @ 7.30 pm when I will be home. He agreed for this but nobody turned up.
              On 14th we received a Mobile Communication from AIRTEL that subject complaint was resolved.
              I spoke to their Customer Care Center Man on 18th and enquirred how they can inform that the said complaint is resolved, when it remains unattended. He replied that it was done by local people and gave me another Compaint Number.
              Again their personnel visited our Flat on 19th and repeated everything and assured that their Electrician will be calling at my Flat on the same day to discuss routing of open wiring. But nobody called so far and the Land Line and Broadband continues to remain dead.

              Airtel Landline and Broadband — connection is dead

              Hi,

              Airtel has made my life hell. My connections went down around 3 days ago and inspite of numerous calls to their customer care, they have neither fixed my problems nor do they have any clear answer as to when they might be able to solve the problem.

              Customer support says they are flagging this complain of v high priority and marking a copy to their managers but nothing still happens. They gave me time slots couple of times yesterday and I stayed at home leaving all other important work aside but noone visited me or even had courtesy to even call me.

              Thjis unprofessional behaviour is totally unacceptable and i will have no other option but to cancel the service if it doesnt get fixed asap.
              My landline/broadband number is [protected], and it is dead from past three days, no clear answer is being provided by the Airtel people when conctacted through their email service, I get a response the problem is already fixed but same has not been effected.

                Hi,

                I’d been trying to make a payment through MCHEK to Airtel and DG Toll from last 11 days and its failing every time. All this started happening after 1st Feb, 2011. I tried making the payment though my HDFC and Citibank Credit Cards and both are failing. I tried to add my ICICI Credit Card and every time I get a message “Sorry, problem processing your request. Please try later.” I tried contacting Airtel and got a response that I should contact MCHEK tech support. I tried contacting MCHEK tech support and every time they asked me to contact my Bank Customer Care. Then I called up all 3 banks and they said that they’ve never received such request for payment. I even registered my ICICI and HDFC Credit Card for the “Visa Verified 3d Secure”. I’m getting the IOTP/OTP from my respective banks through SMS and Email. I always send that IOTP/OTP number to ‘543219’ and then I get different messages as below:

                1. From: AD-543219: “We are sorry, there was a problem processing your request. Your account has not been charged. Please call your banks customer service line.”
                2. From: AD-543219: “Sorry! your card could not be added at this moment. Please try again later or call customer care for more info”
                3. From: AD-543219: “Your card add timed out as u have not entered IOTP. Visit m.mchek.com/iotp on ur browser to get IOTP,then retry. Sms IOTP to 543219 in 2min. Supp# [protected]”

                I tried adding my ICICI Credit Card again today before sending you this email. The process I followed every time is same as below:

                1. I went to the link, m.mchek.com/iotp and generated the IOTP from there that was sent to me on my Mobile number.
                2. I opened Mchek application on my phone and clicked on Add card, entered all the card info and finally got a message asking me to send the IOTP to ‘543219’ number.
                3. I copied the IOTP number received from ICICI and sent it back to ‘543219’ as required.
                4. Then I got a message immediately, “Sorry! your card could not be added at this moment. Please try again later or call customer care for more info”.
                5. After a while I got the next message, “Your card add timed out as u hve not entered IOTP. Visit m.mchek.com/iotp on ur browser to get IOTP,then retry. Sms IOTP to 543219 in 2min. Supp# [protected]”.
                I tried to make payment through HDFC Credit Card that somehow got added in Mchek application on my phone using below mentioned steps:

                1. I generated the OTP by sending the sms "PWD <last 4digits of card #>" to [protected].
                2. Then I got my OTP from HDFC.
                3. I opened the Mchek application on my phone to make a payment (I tried recharging my other Airtel prepaid number and DG Toll Tag at different times) entered all the required info.
                4. I got a message asking me to send the OTP to ‘543219’ number.
                5. I copied the OTP number received from HDFC and sent it back to ‘543219’ as required.
                4. Then I got a message immediately, “We are sorry, there was a problem processing your request. Your account has not been charged. Please call your banks customer service line.”
                6. After a while I got another message, “Sorry! Your transaction timed out as you hve not entered OTP. Request OTP from your bank & retry transaction. Remember to enter OTP within 2min.”

                I’m not a novice customer/user who doesn’t know how to follow instructions. I’d been using Mchek from the very first day it was launched and got associated with Airtel. If you’ll check my account history then you’ll come know that I’d been always making Airtel and DG Toll Tag payments through Mchek. I’ve already wasted my several hours and days now contacting all the concerned Customer Care.

                I’ve already contacted Airtel Customer Reps, Airtel Floor Leaders, many Airtel Nodal Officers and all the 3 banks’ Customer Care.

                PLEASE HELP….!!

                i have applied for mchek function.i download the software but the verification between icici bank and airtel is still going on i contacted airtel and icici customer care still no reply.

                "Mcheck" This service has caused me more inconivence than any other service from airtel, The problem is even if you subscribe it or not it pops up on screen and if it does you have no option other than to restart the cell, i complained to customer care 5 times, but each one gives a different solution which doesnt work, just because of this service i have switched my service from postpaid to prepaid and now i am thinking to disconnect the service all together,

                i checked with one of my friend he has also disconnected for the same reason,

                Airtel — Mchek Payment

                Hi,

                Im facing the same issue. My guess is that it has to do with the OTP that has been launched since Feb 1.
                I tried a couple of times, and I keep getting the "unable to process your request at this time sms"
                This is despite having registered the card with the OTP.

                I also notice that now mchek is asking for the last 3 digits of the Reverse side of the Card after the mchek PIN - this wasnt there before. And then it asks you to send OTP via sms to Secure Pay Number "within 2 min". This seems silly. Why not ask for the OTP instead of the CVV number?

                My Airtel services recharged several times but not recharged I entered m check pin is correct and CVV2 number is correct. but not recharged . So please rectify the problem and immediatly rechared.
                Hey...As I remember...Mcehck always used to ask for CVV no. for adding the card. Besides this..it should ask for the CVV no. I understand the issue has arised after 1st Feb and it has to do with OTP. If you say that you're also facing this issue then it means there's something surely wrong with Mchek. But the problem is these people don't want to accept their fault.

                I was experiencing the same problem from this month (Feb-2011) beginning. I have tried to add my credit cards SBI, ICICI, Axis Bank and HSBC one by one; all were giving the same problems. Sometimes I was able to add the SBI card; in this case I was not able pay airtel mobile bills. Even I have sent the OTP received from the bank to 543219, I would get error message from 543219; sometime the error message would be something like "OTP not received within timelimit; try again". During the repeat of these activitities, I have received a call from SBI stating that CVV number received was wrong. I told by email and on phone these things to Airtel, they asked me do the exercise from the beginning using only ICICI cerdit card and come back to them. I have done as they said; problem is not solved. So, I am writing the story here. Definitely some problem is there in mChek application. I am very much unsatisfied about Airtel mChek service. Due to this problem of mChek I incurred Rs.228 apart from STD call to mChek customer support Mumbai line in my current mobile bill. Why should I pay for Airtel's problem?

                I expect that
                1. the amount I needs to be refunded
                2. necessary action needs to be taken to set right the mCheck application immediately

                I have been facing the same problem too ! Have been calling calling Citibank, Mcheck and Airtel one after the other and they are all putting it on each other. In the era of 'Customer Delight' this is quite a pain ! If there is a problem with the services atleast the customer should be informed. I have been trying incessantly to make the due payments but it is highly irritating not to get through. Please resolve this at the earliest.

                mchek is not working even for me, before it was working fine, i could recharge through sms but now it is asking for a iotp code, which never comes, the site m.mcheck.com/iotp does not give me an iotp also, this has become a hassle . why do we need a iotp, if I am travelling and I do not have access to the internet then how do i recharge ? before I could recharge by mchek pin and sms but now i need a browser to find iotp code, this is nonsense. Please help

                Even while typing this message I tried generating IOTP, but alas couldn't get through :(

                  Airtel — No UPC send for MNP

                  Not less than 8 months, I am facing problem with Airtel Signal in Pimple Saudagar. Repeatedly calls are dropped. Ironically when Airtel customer care calls to inform we are improving, even that time calls are dropped. No sound from other end is common, we have to dial again. For a single small talk we are dialing minimum 3 times. Sunil, your network is uprooting you, now Dayanidhi has gone; your golden days seems over! Your billing department has also waived off one month's rent, but what is the use. Just changing logo will not revive you from your looting billers. I have decided to leave Airtel but to my dismay Airtel not sending the UPC(unique porting code) required for MNP. Seems like you deserve personal attention from lakhs of dissatisfied customers.

                  Hi,

                  I have always had problems getting good support from airtel. Today I decided to port to reliance from airtel. I sent a message "PORT [protected]" to 1900. But i didnt get a UPC code to my mobile.
                  After 2 hrs, I called up 198 and checked i[censored]PC is generated, they confirmed it is. I requested them what is the best way to get it to my mobile as the UPC code is not delivered to my no. The support guy started to argue that it is delivered to my no. I tried to explain him why would i call if i had received the code. Finally he asked me to wait for 2 more hours and resend the message again if message is not delivered from 1901.

                  I had to resend the message after 2hrs. Again i didnt get the UPC code but message is charged everytime i requested. Called up the complaint cell again and this time he says i have to just wait.

                  I like the network Airtel has but just because of the customer care, i am so frustrated. I can't even get rid of the service peacefully.

                  I would request Airtel not to be so rude with the customers. Also I would appreciate if my UPC code is sent to my no so that i can port peacefully.

                    I have purchased one Airtel DTH from POORVIKA MOBILES PRIVATE LIMITED vide invoice No. 22847 on 13 Feb 11. They have promised that it will be installed by evening same day by 1730 hrs. I have called the same day on the phone numbers that were given to me by the shop. The person told (i) Call after 1730 Hrs (ii) Second time when I have called they said "Today is Sunday so we will come tommorrow". The next day i.e on 14 Feb 11, I have called N number of times to Airtel and Poorvika people. Sometimes they said - (i) within 02 hours it will be done, (ii) it is already being dispatched according to our system, (iii) many times they have kept me on hold, (iv) it will be done on tuesday by 10 AM, (v) it will be done by today i.e 14 Feb by 2030 hrs. Then arround 1800 hrs on 14 Feb Monday one of their champs (supposed to be the person detailed for installation) called me on my phone and enquired me about my location and said "Sir I dont have balance in my mobile, will u please call me" I said Ok then I have called him and gave the full details whatever he required. After about an hour around 1915 hrs the same guy called again and said "Sir I am too far from ur place it will take lot of time to reach and there is a huge traffic, can I come tommorrow by 10 AM". After all these drama I decided to get my money back, I went to that very shop from where I have purchased. There also they started calling here and there, kept me waiting for more than an hour. Ultimately gave my money back. The behaviour of all the staff associated was very rude and arrogant and I was harrsed ghe whole day in the name of DTH installation

                      I've recharged my mobile with 100 rs from netbanking site on 13 feb 2011. At that time it had shown the balance updated with 88.06 Rs, without calling more than 15 mins call and few sms, now my balance is showing 6.0 Rs.
                      I dont know how it got deducted or why it is showing so less money.
                      Please provide me my data of calls,transaction and deduction of between 13 feb 2011 to 14 feb2011
                      I am using Airtel prepaid card. On sept 22 ,2010 I received three continuous SMS from Airtel Number 543214.stating that 32 Rs deducted from my account .


                      Immediately I called customer care 121 and asked about this stupid thing, they said they cant do anything when i tell them that 32 Rs deducted from my balance from nothing . But it is not free call Airtel is charging 1.50 Rs per minute. I didn’t want to do it from my side .So I logged complaint. I called customer care and asked about it, though the money not been credited to my account. Again I called customer care (121) but am very unhappy with the airtel service for without any reason how you people deducted 32Rs from balance well i am expecting to be solved onsept 23rd 2010 end of the day.

                      I am going to wait till sept 23rd 2010 end of the day.If it is not solved then i will take this issue legally.my number is [protected]

                        I have received unwanted call from the airtel No. [protected] on the pretext that he is calling from Airtel Customer care centre. He is gathering information about name, address etc. from our mobile No. I want that the owner of this cell may be made known to me and he may also be sacked from the Airtel Company and his connection may be cancelled forthwith. He may be notified as blacklisted customer.
                        Above you said that this has been resolved but even I am receiving call from this number from last 2 days asking my name and address etc. Please take some strict action or else I'll have to find some other way.

                          i am a subscriber for air tel my mobile number is [protected], in Hyderabad i have this number for more than ten years and i have not been receiving my bills since three months and i am requesting for the same since 15 days and every day they say it will take four working days to send the bill and four days later i get a message saying bill has been sent and returned because no one available i have made it a point to see some one is at home and still same problem and i think the courier service is at fault and communicated same to the customer care still the same problem persists and the bill date has crossed and they will charge for the late payment on top of it i keep getting threatening Sams's that they sent the collection matters to their agents and i have to deal with them and i have no clue what my billing details are and what i am paying for and this the bill is the double of every month and i need to check what i am being charged for


                          this has been mentally harrowing experience for me and i am helpless as this is dragging on for too long
                          and this basically is a cry in the dark hoping something will be done in this regard

                            I am Mayank Aggarwal, a resident of east Delhi. From last so many years, I have been using the Airtel broadband connection and that too without any problem.

                            15-20 days ago, I got a router (Beetel’s 450 TC1 ADSL2 + Router) installed at my home at a cost of Rs 1,500. But since that day I am having a horrifying experience with Airtel.

                            Though internet in my desktop works fine because of the wire attached to it, I have faced numerous problems while using internet in my laptop (using wi-fi). I have complained to your customer care executive on 121 and 198 several times. Your representatives have also come to my house.

                            But nothing has helped. When Airtel was installing Wi-fi connection at my home, no one told me that there will be connection problem because of doors or concrete walls.

                            My wi-fi router and desktop is installed is in one room while I use my laptop from the adjacent room. It is not even 10 metres. Airtel representatives had promised me a range of 25 metres.

                            This is not all, even when room doors are open (which is not possible for 24*7especially during night when I generally use my laptop sitting in my bedroom while my sister is sleeping in her room where router is kept), the wi-fi connection doesn’t come and internet is not working for 99 percent of times, even when the range is not more than 10 metres.

                            For most of the times, there is no wif-fi connection in the laptop forcing me to come and use the desktop again. Laptop settings have been checked time and again by both your representatives who visited my home and those who tried solving the issue while talking on customer care.

                            It’s quite natural that a house will have walls and doors. So, isn’t this funny when AN ENLIGHTENED TEAM MEMBER MR PANKAJ OF AIRTEL’S TECHNICAL TEAM CALLING FROM NOIDA FROM PHONE NUMBER 0120 – 4224290 ON 14 FEB AT 11:13 TELLS ME: ”Sir, our guy must have forgotten to tell you about this at the time of installing the wi-fi.”

                            Another gem of the reply came from your representative who visited my house on Feb 12 – Saturday. He tells me sir Netgear’s router is better and can give better performance even when doors are closed. The router of Beetel Company that is installed at my house is there because of company policy and doesn’t offer that great a connection.

                            Is it so funny and natural for Airtel to loot its customers like this. Is Airtel so casual like this with its customers?

                            Kindly reply and solve the problem. Otherwise please just remove the Airtel connection and refund my money including that paid for router installation.

                            I will approach an appropriate place like a consumer court if the esteemed company Airtel fails to solve the issue at the earliest .

                              I have received the unique porting ID " AT963326 " on 10-02-11.
                              My request for MNP has been successfully registered on the same day with a reference number - 1342635.
                              After two days that is 12-02-11, I had received a message from TD-1901 stating that your port in request for mobile number [protected] has been REJECTED by your service provider due to LEGAL REASONS.

                              I have contacted the customer care (121) representatives and also 198 thrice each (which took a lot of time to speak to an executive directly) to find out what the legal reason is and they have the same response i.e we are forwarding your call to our senior executive and then the call gets disconnected.

                              I am not expecting a reason or anything from AIRTEL. I just want to switch to DOCOMO.
                              Please resolve my problem as soon as possible.

                                DND facility is activated on my Mobile no [protected] since 2008.
                                DND Reg no is - S[protected].
                                But I'm still receiving commercial calls, SMSs and Service messages.
                                I complaint in customer care several times but they haven't taken any steps.

                                Infact after some days of registering the complaint I received a call from Airtel([protected]) saying that the problem has been resolved. But I still receive unwanted call and SMSs.
                                I'm highly disappointed by this kind of behaviour from such reputed company.

                                AirTel — Receiving calls after DND activated since 1 year

                                Sir,

                                I am using Airtel sim and my cell no. is [protected]. I have activated Do not Disturb service since 1 Year, but I am getting calls and SMS's from Airtel continuously. I have complaint to costumer care several times but it has not made any effect on them. From costumer care, I got the information that my DND has been activated since 1 year and I will not get any calls or SMS/ But I am fed up of calls and SMS on my mobile phone, they are continuously coming.

                                  Dear Sir/Madam,
                                  This is to complaint about a recharge issue with number portability. I have lost some money due to this issue. My prepaid was ported from idea to airtel recently.
                                  The problem is whenever I try to recharge my number online (which is often my mode of recharge), my bank account balance is deducted but no recharge is received. I have contacted airtel cc regarding this issue but they tell me that there is no such issue.
                                  After googling a bit I have found that many more people are facing the same issue. Please do the needful as it is very inconvenient not getting a recharge whenever you want and on top of that getting charged for it. I hope the last thing airtel would want to offer a newly migrated customer is inconvenience.

                                    me and my friend got airtel mobile numbers on the same day from koramangala branch providing all documents (without which airtel offices does not start applications) and got 2 numbers in december 2010 and now my firend got a call saying tat the documents are not submitted.we called the nodal officers which was useless since they just guided us to submit the documnets.we thought the problem is solved but again there was an sms saying "kindly be informed that we found ur name and address is not matching in televerification" which is poathetic since we have not recived any calls nor the address and phone number is wrong..The number is [protected],and its a great pain in undergoing everytime answering the calls from Airtel cc with no proper solution.Do somthng to stop ths number getting disconencted.t.The pathetic case is how does airtel maintains teh documents d othey burn it?? or sell it??cant they even manage this????dnt their computers are not programed to type a mble number and find if the doucmenst r sublited or not????they ask again a refernce number which we get after submiteing,if i get a number 3 years back ho can they xpect me to have that number stored n my brain???ver is the real service????

                                      i called to airtel customer care around 12:10 am on 11-2-11, the problem was i hv to wait for half an hour to speak to a technical representative... They took half an ur to respond me saying that they were busy un attending calls... They mean to say that they are more busy in night than day... And after responding me his attitude was very bold....

                                        I am not getting my postpaid bill for my mobile from last 3 months and nor even ebill, in spite of that I am making all payments regularly through mchek, this is a very bad service I am getting from Airtel Services.
                                        Also on call to 121 their call centre number we are not getting any services and our calls are getting disconnecting without any information, they are making us in a hold for a very long time for wastage of our call charges and to avoid our call too, if this is the services Airtel provides then why 121 is meant for.
                                        I think the best solution for Airtel services is to change the service provider since they are not capable of providing good services.
