Airtel — Bad Customer Service

I am using AirTel from a long time. And Not even once I noticed such bad service. On 16th January, 2012 around 6:15pm all my services were barred. Neither Outgoing nor Incoming Calls worked. I called up 198 from a different number and the asked me to wait for 4hrs as it was a network failure, and it occurred only on a few numbers. I assumed it to be true. Nothing helped. Next day, I called up 198 regarding the same continuing problem. I was informed that my documents to the number did not reach Airtel Head Office and so my no. was deactivated. Same day around 6pm I visited Airtel Support centre, Darya Ganj, Delhi. I submitted the documents again... Filled another form that had to go along with the documents. All the work was done and my SIM was checked. I was assured of its working conditions in next 24 hours. Its the 4th day today. Same problem... No Help. I called up 198 again and I was kept on Hold meanwhile they were transferring my call to their Head Supervisor. And the call is Cut down abruptly. I again call 198 tell the whole story to them one after the other so many times and again a never ending HOLD. then suddenly I get a call from some guy from Airtel on my other no. asking me for a local contact no. I give him my friend's no. and tell him the inconvenience that i was facing. He simply says... "I didn't know about that" and shuts the phone on my face. This is BAD. I am highly disappointed. This has turned out to be an INSULT to me... A four day story that finally leads to my Insult.

My name is Mayank Aggarwal and i am a good old customer of your company.Yesterday I called up your customer care to know my PUK number.I dont remember the name of the agent who took my call but he gave me 71788121 as my PUK number i tried that number few time but it was not accepted by my mobile. So i called up again to know about the PUK number and the other agent gave me a new PUK number that is 70788121. I tried the same again for few time and now my sim was rejected.I called up the customer care again and spoke to the supervisors Amit, Mahesh many other I also spoke to a manager name Mayank but all of them were of no use and rather they dont even know what customer service is. They told me that they would check the Voice log and would give me a call in 24 hours which i am still waiting for. Today when i called up my call was dropped many times and each and every time i was told that my call is transfered to the manager and then the call was disconnected.
My only issue is if your agent gave me wrong information why should i be penalised

This is in regards to my airtel postpaid no. [protected], my
outgoing was barred without any notice for which I can't even call 121 or
[protected]. This is not for the first time it happened, it happened so many
times with my existing no. [protected] as well. I am fed up with the bad
customer service at Airtel. I must take some actions now.

Few things that usually happens:

1)Poor cust support.
2) Will provide misleading info on issues raised
3) Arrogant reply from CSR
4) No escalations method on unresolved issues.
5) No dead lines on resolving problems
6) Customer has to live on their mercy

I, ?infact don't expect common sense with the customer care guys.
(sometimes you must not even expect a resolution.. very often they close
calls, a lot of them, indirectly saying it is not possible to correct it).

Once, I got very irritated with the way the courier service airtel uses,
throws my airtel bills on the lawn... and make me go searching and pick it.
Ignorant at their best.. they mean they are very busy and can't bother to
insert it into your letter box sticking on your gate.I was out picking my
bills again, or worser, the stupid person delivered my bills in somebody's
house, and somebody's bill in my house. I went back to them, the customer
service people, and asked them to change the options to email my bills..
they simply advised me to do it on-line at their website... though i had
taken the time to call, they wanted me to first try it there.

I did try... Airtel website rocks.. rocks the negative way.
Nothing will work, and all information they provide regarding help
documents or contact emails, will all point to the same intelligent
thing... "the customer service team". The website will ask you to email
complaints to [protected]@airtel.in, or something like that.

After facing such issues, i would strongly recommend against airtel
postpaid connections as the customer has absolutely no control on his
number. They connect and disconnect at their own discretion and errors.
Also no warning is issued prior to disabling the number. The customer care
officials are also no help as they are only apologizing most of the times
which does not help much.

And another facet proves that Airtel is striving hard to reach 6-sigma
level when it is about call management - all the shift managers are always
busy, and all my calls are "accidentally" cut after me waiting on hold for
10+ minutes, waiting to talk to someone after being put on hold.
Getting to speak to a customer support service engineer in Airtel is real
pain. Why don't Airtel implement simple to use telephone customer service
?
I need to navigate those annoying recursive menus. There is no one menu
which leads me to person. I really don't know how I was able to speak to
a person after spending thirty minutes on the phone. The funny part was,
the support person is unable to tell me a way to reach her directly,
according to her if I wish to talk to a person, I have to go through this
enormous pain.

If I don't get an satisfactory and an immediate response, I challenge
"Airtel" - I'll bring the same in front of consumer court as well e-mail to
all the corporates and individuals who use the Airtel connection.

I Am using the Airtel Mobile for the past 6-7 years, & one month back i have converted my Biling plan to prepaid, since then i m facing a problem of network, thus i have also visited the Airtel Gallary(from where i have converted my plan - Dadar East) 13 times but still they are unable to solve my problem. I have also tried to take help from Call centre but there is also no revert. One of the reply recd from the executive Mr Anand Gaikwad (Dadar East) that your phone is not compatible with Airtel connection. before this specifications mobile phone is :
Make & model : Sony Erricsson P1i (Blackberry enabled)
Price : 18500/=
As per the executive Mr Anand Gaikwad it means the airtel connection in not compatible with the most highend mobile, then howcome anyone can rely on them.
I have aslo treid another airtel no. on my same phone, it was working fine. then howcome my number is not working.
Request you to pls consider my complaint & do the needful.

Note : Customer service is always their for providing solutions for customers problem, but here in Dadar East Gallery (Airtel) i have experienced that they Airtel service centre are not resolving the problem, but they are tring to get rid of the customers without resolving there problem.

I tried to Airtel customer service and they put me on hold for at least 15 minutes. This is a real pathetic state of affairs. Is it because I am on pre paid? Do post paid users get more preference in Airtel? Of course I know the company staff would deny this. But generally is this what other users have experienced, I would love to know.

This is anand here. We have a airtel connection from past 2 months, we applied for a wi-fi router and we are calling the customer care from past 2 months that when we are going to get the router. They are just playing with customer and spoiling the right assigned to the customer.

From your end we want some action to be taken.

I am using your prepaid connection from last 2 years, but now i am facing lots of problem from your callcenter team .They unable to resolved my problem & put me in a hold. I am waiting for a long time then disconnect the line .After this i call several times but same thing is hapen .
If any one read this complain please resolve my problem.
I wanted to get my prepaid connection converted to postpaid. I went to customer care center at Sahara Mall gurgaon.I took the token from token machine and started waiting for my turn. After waiting for 45 min when I could not see my number reflecting on the token reflector box. I went to one of the 5 customer care executive sitting there and asked them about the executive who will be helping me with all realted infomation, I came to know that the concerned executive has already left.It was so disgusting.Unnecessary wastage of time.
Is it really a cutomer care center ?
Isn't there responsibilty to stop giving the token of the particular counter if the executive has already left.
I spent pretty much 3-4 hours in the office of Airtels service centre trying to fix one little thing, the SMS text messages they say I signed up for and which I pay for. In the time I was there 90% of the people coming in had the same problem.

The 121 service simply does not work and is not designed to work. It is a con, illegal in most places and they know it. They are also completely incompetent.

Much as I am sure they are one of the biggest providers in Asia the way they got this way was no doubt to pass a few bucks to some politicians to grow all the while crapping over the customers.

I am Seema Naim an Airtel user, My cell no. is [protected]. I'm having a complain for Airtel. I received one message from Airtel "Listen Sonu Nigam for free", then after a while I received a message that it has been activated on your cell phone, I have not listen the voice message which was been sended. My balance was reducted. When I contacted Airtel, they didn't picked up my call. So I contacted Airtel officer, they said you will get your money back within 24 hours and will be contacted to customer service. But I waited for 48 hours, but nothing took place. So I request you to get my money back to me!

There have been multiple complaints which i have registered with Airtel, complaining about Broadband not working (Please refer to the account notes, whhich i had requested respective customer care agents to document on my account, while calling Customer Service)

Finally last Sunday a gentlemen visited, stating that their is a wiring issue and that he cannot tell me exactly which wire is improperly set within my aprtments premises, to which he responded "THAT AIRTEL DOES NOT HAVE THE EXPERTISE TO TELL ME THAT AND THAT AIRTEL AS A COMPLAINT CANNOT HELP ME IN THIS", when i requested this gentlemen (the field agent's boss) to document this for me on a mail HE REFUSED and said he will not do that.

I requested him multiple times to send that to me writing so that i can take it further with teh complaints team , HE REFUSED.His name is Mr. Manoj and was a Back Office Officer as told by the field agent.

I have failed to get my problem resolved as the usage of my internet services has degraded due to intermittent "connectivity failures", i login after every 12-15 inutes it completely stops, the data link light on my Modem goes out and nothing works.

I have reported this atleast 7-8 time, hope all calls are recorded.

I hereby request AIRTEL to please listen to those calls and please explain me that if i am paying high to get the BEST OF SERVICES FROM THE BEST IN THE MARKET BROADBAND SERVICE COMPANY, am i as a customer should be treated the way i have been.

Request you to please provide me with a documented action on this complaint, post which i will take it further.

P.S - I have spoken to many supervisors, the last thing i expect at this stage is another supervisor calling me with no resolution, please ensure i have someone senior calling with a professional explanation about the situation.

Airel has got one of the worst customer service. I was recently treated very shabbily. Infact humiliated by them. I would recommend no one to buy any Airtel product. Pls go for Vodafone or Idea. There customers get treated by humans unlike Airtel where we are just another number.

And i had face problem in my [protected] number that frequently it says "SWITCH OFF" While I try to call this number. For that I had change my handset but the result is same. I have good coverage and also not able to receive any SMS from any operator. And my Dad Rakha Hari Roy is use [protected] Number. The number is registered for DND and then also Some Tips pack hadbeen activate on that number and Balance is deducted from His account. Where he does not know anything about that, And due to these reason while i try to call 198 that was my pathetic Experiance for my life to ever call to any Help line Number. Still i cant believe that Airtel is provided this type of customer service? Shame on your Service Shame. The Executive name Tanmoy. Sarol Dev Mondal. Moumite and many more are disconnected my call every time and I tried to call from first three Number to 198 after 10 times i does not get any proper resolution rather than Disconnect the call every time. Then i need to call from my Land line then also i does not get any resolution rather than Disconnect.

So here is my First question:- Will i get any resolution for that same? Why my call had been disconnected? Why you guys are not take any responcibilities for solving the issue?

Every call is recorded to my device also and i launched a Complain in Consumer Forum india.com with the attachment of Bluddy Airtel customer service. And now i decided to leave this service. I already sent SMS to 1909 from [protected] for change the operator and i will change every Number from Airtel. Today i am going to send this mail every where with all attachment to know that your executive service. Nobody is responcible in Airtel not Nodal Officer also.

Previous also i send a mail that i want to change my number from reliance to Airtel Number was [protected]. For that i filled up form and did the all requirement But you guys do not help me out for the same. I wrote a mail to Nodul Office as well as 121 But the result is same no Responce from your end. Still i am facing the same problem, After launching the complaint here your concern team revert me a mail for some details but before 7 days ago I send all of my details that you needed but no body is return me still, So here I want to tell you that if you are not able to solve the issue inform me that you cant solve it I will do the needfull what I need to do. When you responce me that time I want resolution.
Qrc#[protected] and Mobile number: [protected]. I had a post paid connection with Airtel under my name which I gifted to my brother. He gave his mobile to one of his best friend who misused it and the bill amount was over Rs. 2500. I know that I am responsible for this payment but the actual issue is when I tooK this connection, I asked and I was assured that the credit on this number will not be increased more than Rs. 500 both by the 121 customer service and a lady at the M.G Road airtel branch. I was happy and I was very much sure that the monthly bill will not exceed more than Rs. 500. Back in May 2011 I ask the gentleman in M. G Road branch to cancel the number when the bill was Rs. 804 something. He refused to cancel the number and asked me to make the full payment. I argued with him that I will pay only Rs. 500 and the remaining Rs. 300 something need to waived. Because I asked airtel not to increase the credit more than Rs. 500. In one word, he refused to accept my request. I came back to UAE and my brother said his friend will use my connection. I told him to pay the bill in time and close the connection but his friend agreed to pay the bill and use my connection. I said OK and then he did not make the payment and finally the number was disconnected for due payment and I was asked to pay Rs. 2500+. I am not going to pay this bill simply because Airtel failed to keep its promise. From 08-Oct-2011 till date I have exchanged numerous mails with airtel customer service, all of them are useless. They dont read my mails, no english, No common sense in the responses all of them are automated..Can't believe Airtel such a reputed company has such a weak/disappointing customer service..Shame

Have been calling Airtel CS to help active my 3G from yesterday and no one can help me with the BB service...Every time i call for assistance's they say to call some else and give me other # to call...Airtel have poor customer service knowledge and is not very help...One person put me on hold and disconnected the call other person said she will put me to the supervisor and then hung up. I have had Airtel service for a long and since no one can help me at this time i have decided to change my provider to someone else...
