Not able to Surf - Binatone ADSL Modem down frequently
Hi

When I tried to connect internet I get an error message in the browser "Binatone ADSL modem is down" frequently. (#Billing A/C – [protected]_kk ).
I have checked the modem (Binatone) and in that the Power and Wi-Fi line show red and green lights. However there is no signal in the DSL button in the modem.

I tried many times to reach to the Airtel technical team but they never received the call. It is just 2 months since I got the internet connection.Also the modem is also 2 months old. I am totally frustrated about the service provided my Airtel.

Request you to fix this at the earliest.

    Dear Sir

    We have made a surrender request for our landline number [protected] on 25.01.2012. The reference number given was 10818464. I received a call from your executive and I told him that I dont want the connection.

    I again called on 06th Feb, 2012 for enquiring about the status of the disconnection process. I was shocked to hear that the executive who called me had written that the customer wants back the connection and it should not be diconnected.

    I again made the complaint on 06th Feb 2012 and got a reference number 11311006 for the surrender of phone.

    So please stop playing all these silly games with me and discoonect the service.

      Dear Sir,
      I am with airtel from 2008. Recently, I changed my airtel sim for a new one as my old sim was troubling. But, my new sim is still not activated and my old sim is still working. I tried to contact customer care but the call is not connected and is getting diverted everytime. Why cheating customers like this?? I spent Rs.150 for this. I am writing this as this is my only solution now. Atleast seeing this, please contact me and solve my issue.

      I am not willing to share my number here. As you said, i shared the details in airtelpresence.
      But, THE SERVER IS DOWN
      CALL GET DISCONNECTED WHEN CONTACTING THE CUSTOMER CARE REPRESENTATIVE (121) - ( dialling for four days)
      I am totally disappointed with your service. Please don't push me to go for other service. I want to be with airtel.
      Airtel is a stupid network. No use of that irresponsive customer care.
      It's better to buy a new sim. Vodafone is the best network, in coverage and quality. I have been using Vodafone for more than 3 years.

        Airtel is increasingly becoming a very unreliable service provider. The approaching festive time like VALENTINE's DAY becomes a painful experience when Airtel advertisements like AD_54321 are LUMPED on your mobile and Rs.2 is promptly deducted from you talk time......everyday !!!! This very lousy way of earning money AIRTEL!!! I am trying to get talk to an airtel official to 1.stop the service. 2 Ask how this happens after i have made them register my number for the DO NOT DISTURB option just last month when I had a similar 3G payment FIASCO. 3.Return the money that has been deducted from my talk time. But ther is no way I can speak to anyone which quite strange!

        To worsen the matter the 198 or [protected] and their nodal office number [protected] is a total SHAM- your options are either NOT THERE to speak about a complaint or nobody gets in touch after putting you on hold. They are either trying to act smart or ACTUALLY unable to provide a good telecommunication.

          My father uses Airtel network and had the worst experience from Airtel services. He is 67 years old and uses mobile only to call , or receive calls. But your network is deducting money for all stupid services like Hello tunes , Radio Mirchi etc which he does not even know what they stand for. If i call customer service the IVRS make me so frustrated that I cannot reach. Every time I recharge his number with 333 or 200 , very next day all money is gone! And blame is all on us that we have activated the services. IS it sane!!

          Your network coverage is excellent but what is the use you make sure that you sue and rip every customer you have. If you cannot make money by call , increase call charges instead o[censored]sing wrong paths and making people to suffer.Recently I was thinking to change his connection from Pre-Paid to Post Paid , but I guess Airtel Network is not just right network to choose. We made a mistake that whole family uses this network.You have kept us disturbed and frustrated all the time by service alert calls, but thanks to Ministry for making DND as compulsory service .

          I am thinking to port his number to BSNL or may be better trusted network. It may not be of much importance to you guys if couple of connections are lost , but I will make sure that people come to know before they think Airtel. I am just posting it on my Facebook page (&account)and twitter.

          Between my fathers number is [protected]. Please do not disturb him again, to remind you he his 67 years old. If you have good CRM system trying knowing the age before you activate services like CHAT. What a shame, he receives kind of dirty messages from your network!

            Since past few days I have been getting an SMS "You have been renewed for JOKE PACK 2419 subscription service from Airtel. You have been charged Rs 1.0".
            Initially I thought that there is a glitch in your system as there were no Jokes coming via SMS.
            Later I realised that money was actually being deducted.

            I have not subscribed to this service. I tried to unsubscribe by the following 2 SMS methods
            UNSUB JOKES
            UNSUB MJKE

            However I get an SMS back "service not available"

            On calling your customer support, they mentioned that this service has been activated since March 2010, and there is a daily deduction of Rs 1.0. But I only started getting this deduction since the past few days/weeks. Besides I am not getting any JOKES via SMS. Anyways the customer support guys could not provide any useful support and after holding the line for 5 mins also could not put me on to his superiors (Pawan Kumar) because he was busy. He said that is senior would call in 15 mins, but no call has come even after 30 mins.

            I clearly remember deactivating the JOKES service few years back. After which the JOKES stopped coming.

            I SIMPLY CANT IMAGINE YOU GUYS SUBSCRIBING FOR ME WITHOUT MY PERMISSION AND ALSO CHARGING FOR IT WITHOUT PROVIDING ANY SERVICE.

            I want all my money that has been deducted these few years, back. This is so unfair for you guys to steal money like this.

            From what your email states, you have refunded for the 5 months (Sep 2011 to Jan 2012). But what about the money that has been deducted since Mar 2010?
            Form what your customer support person called and informed, you guys have records only for last 6 months for prepaid connections.

            REALLY. You are offering me a ONE-TIME BENEFIT? And what about FEB 2012??????

            You guys have been stealing money from my account without even rendering any service and without sending alerts of the money being deducted.
            Don't fault me for you not having past records. If one can apply any common sense, one would easily decipher that the money has been cut since 2010 (as your customer support guy had informed me of the activation date).

            I have to again repeat that you would need to refund the amount from Mar 2010. You guys are not offering me any favors by doing this. Actually you guys should be paying me back my money with INTEREST. That's what you charge ppl. who delay the payment on Postpaid ...right? Why not apply it here.

            Again...in no un-clear terms...I would repeat...You would need to refund me my money since the date this service was activated by your company, irrespective of you having records or not.

            There has been no response after a confirmation mail that you guys would look into it.
            Airtel guys have reverted saying that they have addressed the issue. Where as they are simply saying that they cant do anything further.

            Is there anyone out here who has faced this from airtel?

            For Airtel: The concern has not been addressed. You guys have taken a stand that its been addressed as it suits you guys. This is disgusting. Very disgusting. You got to pay the money which you guys have wrongfully taken. Just saying that you dont have the earlier records is not my problem.
            This is a natural tendency of Airtel. They are the worst money suckers in the telecom networks. Port to Vodafone. Vodafone is costly but service is excellent.

                Migration plan as agreed upon has not been implemented. That is payment of charges surrendering service. Continuously disturbing by phone calling so as to modify things as per their ulterior desire. Lastly, it has been requested for instant disconnection of telecom line. It is not known how far Airtel would try not disconnecting the telecom line.

                  i have taken broadband service from airtel. but its speed is very low. they assure me for a speed of 512 kbps but it actually gets 45 kbps. there is big difference. please do according your assurence otherwise i will quit this connection.

                      Since last 6 months and above, I have been receiving News highlights from various News agents vide their Ref. Nos:AZ-92209 - Times of India, AZ-92202-CNNIBN, AZ-92233- Economic Times, az - 92209-Zee News, AZ-92202--India Today daily every two minutes as such it has become very irritating and the SMS Memory Card gets full with these Incoming Unwanted News highlight daily.

                      I am a simple person and not a politician or a celebrity nor a journalist to capture news or to compete with somebody for unwanted publicity.

                      I therefore, request you to kindly STOP this news nuisance immediately. In the past, Airtel service providers had simply charged me Rs.30/- for a horrible ghati song, then Rs.30/- for some unwanted jokes and now Rs.10/= each for news WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and have deducted a certain amount for these services which were never asked by me.

                      I now, request you to kindly STOP this nuisance immediately and reimburse the amount deducted immediately and take necessary action against these day light theives who are robbing us simply.

                        We, the residents of Chitrakut Bldg- A wing, Barve nagar, Ghatkopar (W), Mumbai- 86, would like to lodge a complaint towards the disturbance created due to the Mobile Towers installed in the midst of the residential area and in the premises of the building, thereby causing hazardous implications to the life of the residents in the vicinity. Our compliant is specific that the Mobile Tower of Airtel has been installed on the terrace of the building that are hardly 20 to 25 feet away and which is totally illegal according to the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. As you know that the general rule is that the Mobile Tower has to be installed 100 meters away from the residential area and the radiation emitting from the Mobile Towers causes various effects on the human body and slowly proves fatal. Due to the close presence of electromagnetic wave emitting source that the tower is, we residents are all getting affected by the pollution caused by the waves.
                        Moreover, the Mobile Towers are also accompanied by generators which supply power to the towers. The generator runs 18 to 20 hours a day and makes unbearable noise and vibration. The noise from the generator is so much that we are unable to sleep at night, even during the day time we find it difficult to carry on our day today activities. The noise is so much that it can be heard from long distance too. This is highly disturbing for the small infants, students, women, old aged, sick and everyone around. Since past 2months the generator has been causing too much noise especially during the night time and becomes more specific and steadily increases during midnight due to the silent environment and empty roads. This issue has been brought to notice to the secretary of the building and mainly to the supervisors of Airtel. It has been time and again requested to them to put off the generator of the Mobile Tower, which they have been continuously refusing to do. The issue has also been discussed with few other members of the committee, but all in vain. It seems the society is absolutely ignoring the ill and hazardous effect on the health. Due to all this we all neighbours and residents of this building are facing headaches, migraine, heart palpitations, lack of sleep, problems in the ear drums, etc. Kinds of various problems.
                        We therefore, request you to kindly look into the matter and take appropriate action and see that either the Mobile Tower is removed permanently from the above premises OR be placed to some other safe location in order to prevent further damages to the health of the residents and all the innocent people here of the area.

                          They are doing more than that. They set you a service, no intimation sent, no information that money is being deducted, and they quietly take the money.
                          Once caught they only refund the money for the last 3 months as they have the records for that period. For any wrong deductions before ...its not their headache.

                            Hi..this leena mehta from raipur chhattisgarh. This person named Bharat Chuganni runs a mobile recharge shop and sells recharge vouchers and e recharge more than 50 % of the company rate. For example: if we ask a 30 rupees recharge card he says it is of 50 rupees but its not of company rates. Everybody is stressed of him in New Rajendra Nagar Area of Raipur , In front of Sai Baba Nursing Hospital. Please do take some action as we are stressed of this shop.

                              Good Afternoon,

                              I am very much fed up from Airtel (Himachal Division), because i have contacted Airtel many times. I have made complaints on its website. Two times they have contacted me and assured that whatever amount has been deducted by Airtel, it will be refunded. So far they have not refunded it, that's why I am writing you, Please help me.........

                              My complaint to Airtel is:- I have taken no service regarding SMS Pack and they keep on renewing SAMA Subscription Pack and one SMS they are sending to me, which is:-

                              From AD-54321:-

                              You have been renewed for SAMA subscription service from Airtel. You have been charged Rs. 7.

                              Above message has been sent to me once again on 05/02/2012 at 11:13 hrs, same message on 28/01/2012 at 10:43 hrs and one message on 21/01/2012 at 16:49 hrs.

                              Regarding above grievance, i contacted Airtel, but no action has been taken by Airtel so far, while I have been satisfied by their customer care executives upon my complaints logged on their website. When i talked him they said to me "You might have pressed button/taken service", then we have activated this pack, while it was nothing so, in nut shell, I would like to tell you that they (Airtel) are be-fooling/cheating the customer and they are earning some money by this way.

                              One SMS was sent to me on 02/02/2012 at 11:14 hrs by 53636, which was:- You are subscribed for SAMA Pack, "You'll be charged Rs 7 on[protected] for renewal. To deactivate sms UNSUB SAMA to 53636, for more sms SUB HELP, sms @ Rs 3/- Unnecessary I had to send this sms for deactivating SAMA pack",

                              while i have taken no SAMA pack or any other pack, for which my Rs 3 got deducted from my balance also unnecessary.

                              Once again request to you. Please help me to get this problem solved as soon as possible.

                              I shall be highly thankful to you and your team.

                                This is to inform AIRTEL mobile internet was very very poor speed. If recharge for mobile internet pack Rs. 5 to 30 means need speed will be fine. Other recharges like Rs. 98, 149, etc., are really dead slow. For these recharges validation is 1month, but no use, i can't complete full space allocation. (For example Rs. 98pack contains 1GB free browsing & downloading). So please viewers don't recharge for high rate internet pack in "AIRTEL".

                                  am AirTel DTH subscriber since 2010 subscription ID [protected]. Couple of months back I upgraded to HD Recoder. Everything was working as expected till last week when I realized stop, pause, recording is not working and also have lost all previous recordings. I called customer care on Sunday Jan 29 SR 15825146 and was promised issue will be fixed in 24hrs. Next day I received a call from engineer saying leave DVR on, l left DVR on but issue was not fixed. I called back customer care on Tuesday and to my surprise I was told SR is closed as issue is resolved. I asked for escalation and next SR 15864423 was opened on 31/01/12 again after 24hr engineer did visit but issue was not resolved. As per engineer they will have to change DVR. They closed 2nd SR as well without fixing problem. Finally on calling back 3rd SR 15939518 was opened on 3/2/2012. Now they started story of DVR out of stock. In between I get a call from [protected] some lady saying I need to pay for engineer visit + 1000INR as DVR replacement. This is something new why should I pay for replacement. It's just 2+ months since I paid 3500 for upgrade to DVR and now to fix problem they are asking me to pay. Had I known this in beginning I would not have thought of going with Airtel. I want Airtel either fix the problem ASAP or return my money.

                                  I am still waiting for the solution. I had received a call from Someone by name Roopkiran from [protected] on Monday at around 1:15PM mentioning issue resolved and he will get back to me by evening but as usual neither the issue got resolved nor did i receive any call back. Today again I called your nodal office and then received a callback at around 12:22 from [protected] mentioning he is from escalation team and assured engineer will visit today evening to replace the box and resolve issue. But unfortunately nothing happen. I did receive call from your vendor Keshav enterprises saying they have not received stock. So issue still continues to be same. Even after 10 days, some 4+ SR’s & N number of calls issue is not resolved.

                                  I will wait till tomorrow morning before taking next action.

                                  Wow even after 12 days you guys need more time amazing. With this kind of support you call yourself as market leaders.
                                  I think only option now is consumer court.

                                  Finally after 14 days, N number of phone calls and consumer complaint issue is resolved.

                                    My Airtel DTH Box has got a problem. Everytime when I switch on it, the channel & volume is reset to 100.

                                    When I contacted the executive, he told me that recently airtel had updated their software to do so. I understand, why do you want to set the channel to 100, but why do you want the user volume to 100.

                                    Is airtel recently updated their software to do so ?

                                    Then I had a conversation with one of your senior executive, Praveen G, Bangalore( Interaction ID :[protected]. He told the same too.

                                    When I took the DTH connection, I had an offer of two packs(which includes Tamil). Last week you removed that from my package. The offer that you offered should be there for the customer unless he changes his plan, right ?

                                    When I asked the same to your executive, he irresponsibly told me that you've the right to remove the channel without any prior notice. Is this the right way of dealing customer ?

                                      I recharged my prepaid mobile phone No: [protected] from 'AirTel' on19/01/2012 at night, by using my citibank credit card, on line.
                                      The recharged amount has not been added to my account till date, inspite of my having lodged several complaints, on mobile and by e-mails.
                                      I was assured by one of their representative that it will be done with-in 24 hrs but now almost a week has passed to this assurance also
                                      The main complaint No: is CONRC [protected] dated 20/01/2012 at 8.24 a.m.
                                      my complaints Nos: CONRC [protected] dated 20/01/2012 &  CONRC [protected] have been resolved by Airtel by saying that citibank has not paid the money to them.
                                      No one has bothered to check the transaction approval code Nos:
                                      927824.  &. 181458.  
                                      just trying to make a fool of me ?

                                      Should I take it up with the consumer court

                                      My several telephonic complaints and reminders ( must be at least thirty calls to 121 & 198 from mobile/land-line) and several e-mails have not help me.
                                      I think Airtel's service has gone to dogs, that is why  I switched to MTNL for land line & Broadband, from Airtel's connection.
                                      Now a small recharge of Rs.444/-plus Rs.444/- from my. Citibank's Credit Card has given me a headache.
                                      I think I should change my service provider.
                                      Airtel's representative assured me that  Rs.888/-'s recharge will be done in 24 Hrs. and now more than 48 hrs have passed but nothing has happened.
                                      Pl see if you can do any thing.

                                        But I am being charged more money
