[Resolved]  Airtel — No GPRS connection and Blocked from customer care services

Hello,

I am from Surat, GJ, IN using Bharti Airtel services for my mobile.
Yesterday, in evening, suddenly the GPRS on cellphone got disconnected. I thought it could for temporary period, but no.
I tried a lot many things: restarted the phone, re-inserted the sim but all in-vain.
I called the customer care helpline (121) for registering the complaint regarding the same. Then I spoke to one of the executives, he kept the line on hold for 5 mins and then at the end asked me to re-insert the sim and then try connecting. I did what they asked for but no luck.

I called back again and luckily got connected to the executive instantly. This is where the interesting part starts.
He asked me to stay online and kept the line on hold so that he could check with the issue. After couple of minutes this is what he said, "The superior division had turned off the services for four hours and that they had not received any confirmation regarding the same."
My friends who lives in other cities have no problems regarding 2G connection, also friends in other areas of the same city, Surat that is, have no problems.
I asked the executive to transfer the call to his superior/manager, he kept the line on hold and then disconnected the call. Well, I thought this could be a regular issue of many other problems (call drop, low network, low speed of gprs, less connectivity, etc...).
But no, I was wrong, why? I called the helpline number again and after choosing the desired menu options, it automatically got the disconnected. They have blocked my number from connecting to the customer care executives. I just woke up and tried calling again but same thing happened.

Can someone help me this issue? I want to take this thing further, may be in consumer court.

And airtel, please have a look at this issue and resolve it ASAP otherwise I am going to consumer court.

AirTel — Airtel GPRS connection problems

dear sir iam airtel customar my mobile no [protected] sir iam using chaina mobile yesterday i activated internet on then in my balance 15Rs dedected since 10pm on03-03-08 but in my mobile internet is not coming i called u customar care many times from 10pm to 1pm but nobady cant help me so want to talk with exicuteive directly and i want to my money get back immedaitly so plz call me sir my no [protected] plz as soon as possible

Airtel — getting no GPRS service

I am using this service for last many years and had no problems with GPRS service but of late since from five months Iam not getting this service where Iam residing, that is at, loretto padua,
amtady gram,
Bantval, Pin:574211
Dakshina Kannada.
The problem is i am not getting GPRS service where iam staying and i am getting area info on my cell as(Loretty padau) but if i move away from my home say about a kilometre in any directions my GPRS is active and again if i move closer to my home the packet data is inactive and i am using a Nokia n95 8gb cell, regarding this problem i called airtel customer care service umteen times these are a few of the complaint numbers [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected].still there is no positive response from the service provider i am being told through SMS that the problem is solved and your airtel live is active.but the problem still persists, this problem actually started up when a new tower was erected in the vicinity of my home since then when trying to activate airtel live, airtel online or mobile office i am getting the message

if i try to activate any of this service my amount is being readily deducted, now this is causing a lot of inconvenience to me because i cannot use gprs service which i am entitled for, to use many of my applications nor can i use it as a modem to connect to my laptop or pc.
Hoping some favourable action will be taken soon to solve this unique problem which i am facing from Airtel.

Airtel — FOR NOT GETTING GPRS CONNECTION

I Haradhan Roy, is a Civil Engineer working in a REALSTATE company.This is inform you that on dated 27th August at 8.30pm I have recharged 104rupees easy recharge for getting the GPRS Connection but till now I am not getting this service.This is my new connection & my mobile no.is [protected]From the customer care I am not getting any help, actually customer care no.is not available.After recharging I have call 5 times but their expression is different.they told you will get your service after24hours, then again calling after that mentioned times.Then they told you will get after 48hours.They are neglecting the customer.So please asssociate me

Airtel — Customer Care Service blocked

Airtel has blocked my access to customer care. I called them from my another number, and they have even raised my complaint, yet its been like three weeks now and I still cannot access to Customer Care Service. ANother big problem is this, that some Big Adda website has been troubling me, with Thank You messages for (which I did not) downloading their application through GPRS. The number of the messages that I have been constantly abused with is 55454... How in the world will I stop this nightmarish constant abuse from Airtel and these pestering websites?

AirTel — blockage of customer care service

sir,
3 days ago i asked my service provider (airtel) for the activation of gprs service on my mobile they sent me the setup which i stored in my mobile and they told that your service will be active in 24hrs. but the service is yet not provided and when i tried to contact them they blocked my customer care service and i'm not able to contact any customer care executives.

I am a subscriber of Airtel Mobile No- [protected]. On 12 th Oct 2008 i made a request to make GPRS service available on my phone to the customer care. I was told that this facility will be available to your phone shortly. But this facility is still not active on my phone and after many reminders it is still not active. Now i have been debarred from accessing the support of customer care. The balance of my phone is Rs. 392.43 but why this facility is not being provided to me, nobody is there to tell me.

Airtel Mobile — GPRS connection

This is Neelima.I am having post paid connection of airtel no.[protected].I activated GPRS connection on 28 sep 08 through callcenter number.call center person told about package 199RS per month 120MB free download and free browsing.In 18 th October month I got a message that total amount bill around 4, 000.Again I called to call center for enquiry that person told that this is our mistake that total 6 months bill.After listening his sentence I continued GPRS connection.Again I checked the on October 28 total amount due is around 8, 000.Again I called to call center and asked about that they told that this total amount is due to GPRS connection.

Now they are harassing me by calling to my family members and friends numbers by taking numbers from my bill
details.These call center people only did mistake for getting bill 8000rs in just 14 days.
please help me to file this case.If I put case it will stand or not .

AIRTEL connection wrong — Wrong connection city (area)

[protected] is my chennai no . But while making call it show other end Coimbature Bharathi airtel a and also this SIM CARD now not in working condition on more then one months. But you are sending Continuously. I already inform airtel customer care but next time will not give any reminder. please stop your service immediately.

sir, i have been browsing internet through my airtel number but every 4-5 days i need to register a complain that i m unable to browse the internet correctly,

Airtel GPRS — about connection disconnection

good morning
i want to say that i am a consumer of airtel gprs my mobile no. is [protected]
i pay my 700 rs pending bill at 21 feb 2009
and balance 35 instead of 32 Rs at 26 /02/2009 to clear my account which is only 32 balance at feb 26
and i request to disconnect my no. so that i dont want to continue my gprs connectio
i have this connection is without voice so i cant call to customercare
sir i ask for any formalities about disconnection and they told me to clear my unbilled amout which is only 32 Rs, i paid and come with my Receipt
but after few day i got airtel bill of Rs about 350
i complain to concerned airtel office X-Press communication pehowa chowk kaithal that why i got this bill
they called your connection is in running position clear your bill then it will disconnected
i request them to disconnect my connection so that my next bill come to me that is 785.47 Rs
this is not my fault
what can i do in this setuation
please tell me my contect no is [protected]
please tell me why my no. is not disconnected till now
please help me in this case this is my second complain on this site but not reply found of first

i was happy

but now since 2 months this is giving so much trouble

i have lost 870 RS with in this time

why airtel is doing this,

who asked you to migrate me to some stupid plan and eat my balancc with out my knoledge

i went to airtell office at banglore koramangala office, when i fail to contact costomer care.

i met the team leader, a lady, she promised me to resolve the problem with in 2 days.after 2 days one mr.ameer told me money cannot be re funded.

look Mo weekly pack is for 7 days, but you disconnected after 6 days and migrated me to vsb
and you eat up my balance amount.

every one of you know it, and they are asking me to choose post paid service. What a canvasing.

but surely this doings eat up your good reputation

so please call the airtel prepaid CEO and ask him to revert the programme to make it normal

Airtel — Call drop issue never resolved and ended with disconnection of the service.

Dear Team,



I wish to bring to your notice that your services were disconnected without prior information or notice. I was experiencing Call Drop which I reported to Customer Service on several occasions yet the issue was never resolved. I was not discounted for the inconvenience caused by the Call Drop. Whenever I call Customer Service to report this issue, I was assured of a resolution within 24 hours of my call yet it was never resolved. For the complaint I placed on 6th June I was responded only in the first week of July yet without resolution. Adding to my woes, in recent times I was forbidden from calling Customer Service by dialing 121 since my number was blocked. You will understand from the chain of mails exchanged with you as underneath that my repeated representations have had nil effect. I have also attached mails received earlier for your perusal.



I trust I have waited patiently enough and every hope of a resolution seems lost. On the whole I am totally frustrated with the services of Airtel and therefore constrained to contemplate on withdrawing my subscription.
