Hi,

I have done MNP from vodafone to Airtel and i have been a POST PAID customer of Airtel for 1.5 years. I made a request for Post paid to Prepaid conversion on 29th Dec 2012, as they promised me that conversion will happen within 7day or max 10 days but still i am struggling to activate my mobile number. I have visited Airtel Relationship Center (near parrys corner) many times and i have submitted proof many times as they requested. After that they will inform me on alternate number that my number has been activated, but i couldn't receive signal. When i asked about not receiving signal, again they asked me to submit id proof. so it keep on going like this since from 5 months.

So i am one among the most suffered customers of Airtel. As am a freelance software developer, i have lost my business contacts during delay in my mobile number activation.

Still i hoping that Airtel will take into consideration and resolve my issue ASAP.

i have a new sim card for postpaid it is not active. problome that there are no phone no. why airtel costomer suport are talk to that night active for sim and phone no. i am pay to many 600 hundred go know. go for 5 days he is do not call and no sim no sir pleze some problem and pleze active to sim

    Respected Sir/Madam,
    I am Mangesh J. Kahane from Pune. I am using Airtel network for more than 3 years But on 8 th of May in after suddenly my mobile with number [protected] with Sim no.[protected] HLR-2 stopped working and showed message that "SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED" and in evening when i called on that number from other number i.e [protected] Some person called satish mule from solapur picked the call and told me that he was given the same number i.e [protected] by airtel ARC centre named Tulsi electronics at solapur.
    Next Day when I went to ARC centre near my place at shree communication at vaiduwadi they gave me new Sim card of number[protected] H-2 for same number i.e [protected] and checked the details of my number that was registered on my name itself But still it was with other person at solapur. But the Sim given by them got activated but showed different number.
    Please consider my Problem and take necessary action about this case.Its really unbelievable that the number stops working suddenly and is transferred to someone else.

    AirTel — Transfer of SIM

    Since couple of Months i have been irritated with airtel customer care people calling me.
    As i wanted to transfer the number to one of colleagues name, it took 15 days for me to convince them as he is NRI, Native of AP.
    after transferring successfully, after six months they started calling, as the number has been switched off, The verification is Poor,
    At the time of submission i have submitted concerned person landline number, they didnt update database,

    they are good at troubling and irritating, , i have been asked same question for 30 times in a month and giving alternate contact of the person for all the time.

    i m pissed offfffffffffffff

    Airtel — no is transfer to other without intimation

    I am having mobile no [protected] since year 2005. last few days i was not operated this mobile card. again when i had credited Rs.50/- on outlet of airtel in same card, but it was not working , after checking of the same it was informed me that this no is transfer to some one else.Now this is really very socking to me. I am using this card since last 5 years. and now without any intimation company has alloted this no to some one else and i have lost Rs.50/- what to do now ?

    Dear Airtel,

    I am Residing at Virar east Chandarnsar(Maharshtra) and am using airtel sim - [protected] since 2007. Now days when airtel started 4G they are not able to give good internet service and voice call service to coustomer.
    Airtel 4G users facing offenly this problem, as well as many airtel users are intend to port thier no to other company (vodafone, reliance, idea) due to this issue.
    I request Airtel helpdest Kindly look into this issue as soon as possible.

      This is to bring to the concerned notice that we have experienced pathetic service from Airtel DTH even before the conncetion is set up.We have applied for new Airtel DTH connection on 06/05/2013 over the tele marketing call. The executive name is Amit Tiwari(Customer care number # [protected]), the package we opted is South Value and we paid 6 months subscription worth of Rs 4,190(this includes the HD set top box + 6 months subscription). The payment is done via call and mode of payment is Credit Card. The booking ID # 210086, TXN ID #[protected] The executive confirmed us over the call that the installation would be completed with in 48 hours from the payment time. There was no call from the Airtel service until 8th May evening and have made several calls to Customer care and was shocked to understand that they have never created new customer account for the connection, the executives couldn’t even very the details with the given booking & transaction ID) they have provided the local area sales manager number (Vijay) we have contacted him however he is helpless since there is no account details available, he promised that the installation would be completed by next day 9th May morning. We have again called on 9th may morning however there is no account created, they said account will created by afternoon and installation would be completed by end of the day. Finally during afternoon we have received an SMS on the number given that the account is created (Customer ID # [protected]) with the value recharge of Rs 2,600. We have called the customer care again to understand what is this recharge value consists of, for which there is no answer from the executive and they are not sure what is this value for. The concern is this amount is different from what we have paid we are unsure whether they are activating the requested package or activated a random package available. The executive over the call was rude and was not ready to provide any details. He was asking to wait for another 24hrs to find out what the Rs 2,600 recharge value is. Hence we decided not to go any further we requested to cancel the new connection request and pay the money back, for which the turn around time is 7 to 10 working days. The shocking part is the address details mentioned in the account created is incorrect, he is not ready to update the address correctly as well.
      We are fed up following up with the customer care and called the Nodal Officer number for Channai region[protected], a person has attended the call we have explained the issue to him, he request us to be on line for few minutes, the waiting period went up to 25 mins however no response and finally the call got auto dropped.on 10/05/2013 when we made the call to customer care to find out the status again they said that the payment was only made on Thursday and as per thier records the first call from our end was only made on Thursday, we really had no clue what they talking about.The response is annoying and very frustrating to us. They said that it will 24hrs time for providing any information relating to this payment details.
      This is really frustrating to us, we have never faced this kind of ill treated customer service and never expected from Airtel.
      We request for an early action in this regard.

      Airtel DTH — Pathetic Customer Care Services

      On date[protected] I have register complaint ( No.’s 8326757, 8508022, 8527609, 8568159 ) of Video problem in airtel customer care, they have suggested that there engineers will come and rectify the problem, around 2:30 pm yesterday I received a call mentioning that the engineer will arrive and rectify the problem at around 4:00Pm. After a long wait I again called up the customer care and one of agents assured me that the engineers will visit before 6:30Pm on the same day. It’s very unfortunate and frustrating that even after several calls yesterday and even today while typing this mail the service level of Airtel has drastically come down. I have been assured yesterday by Mr. Ravi soni who seems to be supervisor (I have my doubts) that yes the problem will be resolved by 8:00 Pm but no success. If this is the commitment of team leader than I can very well judge the quality of subordinates Airtel has. Another fresh day begins, no calls, no updates from Airtel team, again tried to reach as I am customer and I need to suffer because I have installed “Airtel DTH “. The updates are more interesting than yesterday. You would be happy and feel proud to listen. The call attended Mr. Yogesh told me that sir I have now register your fresh complain today and it will be resolved by tomorrow, WOW amazing customer service from a company like Airtel. I called up again and this my seventh call today, another customer care executive Dinesh have no idea about the complaint he fwd my call to his supervisor again by keeping me on hold for 15 minutes. Then Mr .Lokender had spoken and kept me hold for 50 minutes, and had given all excuses that the engineers who is suppose to visit for the resolution is not reachable since yesterday and he aligned a different engineer who will visit today at before 7:00Pm. I want to ask a simple question a big company like airtel is only have 2 engineers? What is the SLA for service repair? Why a customer should suffer and pay 100Rs. Instead Airtel should pay to their customer for being brand loyal instead of charging from them. Airtel has harassed my since last 2 days with false commitments. So I am looking forward to take strict action against airtel service in consumer court by harassing their customer and taking undue advantage from them will send this to as many as social media forum to bring to the notice of common man that they should never ever go with Airtel DTH services, its even pathetic than worse.
      Airtel DTH Customer Service is the Worst experience I have ever had, that too it was unfortunate that i had to deal with them thrice for 3 different requests.
      I can never imagine a customer service to be as WORST as AIRTEL.

      Airtel management please wake up and learn the ABCs of customer service (actually only A's is more than enough to expect from you) first yourself and then train your customer service reps (currently who seem to be undoubtedly illiterates: language wise / technical knowledge / issues handling wise).
      It's just not enough to have nodal centers, websites, customer service wings, please understand that the customer-service unit is just present as an entity with no life. I suggest any one in the management to raise a service request and experience it themselves, instead of me trying to explain

      Rakesh, Thank you for acknowledging my complaint. Finally the set up box was installed at my residence at noon time and the technical person has asked us to keep the set up box on ON mode for 2 hours for activating the channels. We have the set up box on until evening 7pm, I was unaware that there is another surprise is awaiting for me when I return home. I have switched on the TV and realised that there are no channels and the on screen message is "Your account is SUSPENDED due to negative balance". I really do not have any idea what this message is for, since I paid money for 6 months and my account activated confirmation message said Rs2, 600 recharge then how the account has gone into negative with out even using. I called the area manager for assistance since I do not have any more patience left in me to call your customer care since they are absolutely GOOD FOR NOTHING. THEY ARE THE MOST WORST service team I have ever seen. Even if I call them for assistance I can not take any more non sense thing which they say, it's so painful to listen to them so I prefer not to call them.
      The area manager with the support of the technical assistance found that the account is not activated or some discrepancy existing there. He has given assurance that the channel would be available with in an hour time since he is going to write email to the support team.
      I running out of words to rate your customer care support efficiency. As such I conclude here for your further perusal of this issue.

        Hi Sir/Madam

        I received a call from this number ([protected]) on Tuesday -May-7-2013 at 12:07pm IST.

        Since I was in a meeting I did not take the call. Later I tried to return the call it did not ring. Today May-10-2013 when I tried it rang but no one answered the call.
        Later I talked to my colleague and I found out that this is from Pakistan and he asked me to register this complaint.

        Hence I am requesting you to do the needful.

          This is regarding the complaint 32515200 that I have raised for the above given FixedLine. The complaint which I have raised is regarding the Internet not working and even Landline was not getting dial tone.

          I have raised the request on May 9th 2013 at 10:21 AM and the resolution time that is given is May 9th 2013 by 2:20 PM. I have attached the screenshot of the message that I have received and also the Complaint details from Airtel Self Serv web site.

          I have not got any call or no technical executive has visited my place to verify the issue during the said time.

          I called back Customer Care on 10th May 2013 at 3:30AM and gave the Complaint number to get the status but I hear the problem description as completely different. It is no where related to what I have given. I have raised complaint for Internet & Landline not working and even in the web site I can see that it is given under category "Network & Connectivity Related" but the complaint description what I heard from the customer care representative was regarding some UserID & Password issue and not able to login which is totally different.

          I have been facing the internet disconnection problem atleast 3 to 4 times every month and loose atleast 5 to 6 days in a Month with out Internet but still no reduction in the Bill and also the service will be very late.

          Airtel is one company which charges more for their services than other companies but still Customers select Airtel just for the service. But in the last 1 year I noticed a drastic degradation in the service by Airtel. If a very good reputed company like Airtel can't maintain the proper information regarding the complaint how can we trust the service by this company.

          I am using this internet for Office purpose and if I come home and can't get internet suddenly Im getting banged by my higher management. Just because of your fault, Im getting delayed and suffered. If the bill is paid 1 day late you guys know to deduct extra charge, but don't you know that the service has to be provided as per the given time??? So what charge should I charge to Airtel now for not maintaining the records properly and not fixing the issue in time???

          Bharti Airtel Service — But No Proper Service

          Respected Sir,

          I visit Airtel Office in Residency Road (Opp to Nagarajun Hotel) to activate data card connection. They told to provide the service with in 24 Hours.
          Before paying the amount they will assure that they are giving good service but after we pay the amount they will talk in different way and they won't activate the data service and giving the answer you didn't provide the necessary document.
          I had a question what the hell these executive is doing before taking the document. There is no way of taking connection if they do like that.

            I had recharged with Rs.200 for my Airtel money account number. But it stated that the transaction is failure and amount will be recredited in 5-7 working days.

            But its more than 45 days now. No recredit has been given. Also I lodged a complaint with CC. But still there are also unable to trace and do the credit.

              I have recently moved to Banglore and purchased a new LED TV. Since I heard Airtel is good company I choose to go with Airtel for digital TV. I went online www.airtel.in and went to digital TV section where you can submit your cell no# so that can give you call. As soon I submit my call they instantly called me and asked me to pay Rs.1840 so connection can be establised in 24 Hours. Its been 72 hours and no one yet contacted me. Since last two days I called atleast 20 times but everytime customer care executive takes my info and she/he tells me someone will get back to me in 30 minutes. No one calls back. This is absoluty pathetic. How the hell you guys are running business? Close your shop and do not play with people's money like that. You guys are absolute bizzare. I don't believe why you treat people like that. I trust more to day-to-day labour who will atleast give you service after taking money from you.

              They give me this Ref # [protected] and no one wants to check status.

              I hope this help to the people who wants to go with Airtel. Me and my wife have Airtel cell connections. I will get rid of them also if they dont provide me service in next 2 days or refund me my money which I earn by working hard.

              I am also facing the same problem. I payed for South Value pack for 2000 and 1 yr free.
              But after completing the first month, its showing 300 due. I don't understand it and was trying to reach customer service for long time. I got an sms that the service will be disabled by 17th if not paid.
              This looks ridiculous and I am frustrated calling the toll free number.
              Please help me with this.

              Airtel DTH — Airtel HD tv DTH Scam

              On February 4th, an Airtel DTH Cable operative has come to our house to familiarize us with the Airtel Cable DTH offers available. He has introduced us to the Airtel HD Dish TV option. He claimed that all one needs is a digital HD Set top box and one would get free access to all the HD channels provided by the airtel. We have asked him to confirm the same on which he said that he was pretty sure and that there would be no extra charge for the HD Channels that are provided. On that condition we have bought the plan.

              A day after paying the money he said that now we have to pay about 16 rupees for every channel that we receive. Which means if we receive 20 channels (HD) then we have to pay about 320 apart from the plan that we have opted for (Super South Pack). He accepted that he claimed all HD channels will be free but he said that he was wrong and he will not do anything about it now.

              When we asked the operator to take back the plan he rejected saying that nothing can be done as of now. When Pointed out to the problem he said that it was our mistake of not inquiring properly.

              I hope that some action would be taken in this matter. I also warn all who are looking forward to take the DTH plans for Airtel and not to fall in the trap of the operatives who visit our homes with fastidious claims.

              AirTel — AIRTEL BIG FRAUD

              I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THAT ALMOST 100 RS WAS DEDUCTED AT RS 1 PER DAY JOB ALERTS FRAUDULENTLY ACTIVATED BY AIRTEL ON MY MOBILE [protected].

              YESTERDAY I STOPPED THE JOB ALERT SERVICES BECAUSE I NEVER SUBSCRIBED TO IT. NOBODY IN MY FAMILY IS LOOKING FOR JOBS.

              NOW THE SERVICE HAS CLOSED BUT I WANT TO GET FULL REFUND OF MY MONEY WHICH IS ABOVE RS 100 FOR THE DAYS THAT AIRTEL FRAUDULENTLY OPERATED THIS SERVICE ON MY NUMBER WITHOUT DISCLOSING TO ME.

              PLEASE HELP ME GET OUT OF THIS MESS !!

                Hi i am Abhishek([protected]),,,And the reason for the complaint is to let u know how irresponsible and insane the executives of the Airtel Company are..
                the issue dates back to the month of December and the issue is still not resolved...The issue is i was promised that the excess bill payed by me in the month of november will be refunded within 60 days from the date of payment(Not sure of the date but it was in the month of november)...i had called the executives more than 32 times i still have some of the call recordings where the executives promised me a date for the issue to be resolved and some even disconnected the calls.i was reached by a airtel executive after posting a complaint in this forum and was again promised refund and a prompt service and also assured me to call back after the issue is raised and the also said that the service request or the complaint number would be provided(Which wasnt done).....the executives name is Ashish Jain and after few days there was no reply or a call from the person to take care of my issue as promised and after again a few days i got a call from a lady executive and said that she needs to get in touch with the finance dept to get my money refunded and agin no calls or any reply from her...i am really depressed by the services provided by the executives and could u please let me know how to raise a complaint in the consumer court....and i would also mention this to airtel that i am an active blogger and i would make sure that this issue could reach more than 5000 people and i can also drag this on to media cause its a huge amount for me (1700 RS) AND HAVE SPENT EXACTLY 112RS AND 50 PAISE FOR GETTING IN TOUCH WITH THE EXECUTIVES AS I AM A STUDENT IM NOT EARNING ANY MONEY AND THIS AMOUNT WOULD HELP ME A LOT.AGAIN MY NUMBER IS [protected] AND PLEASE DO CALL ME BETWEEN 1:10 TO 2 PM OR AFTER 5 PM.....HOPE SOMEONE WILL GET IN TOUCH AS I AM VERY DEPRESSED AND WOULD APPROACH MEADI FOR THE ISSUE TO BE RESOLVED.

                AirTel — Refund for excess payment

                My mobile number is [protected]. I converted my postpaid connection to prepaid connection last month in Airtel Center in Adyar. I had to pay the outstanding amount when the call and sms discounts were not included. I paid the full amount. They told me i would receive the balance amount (around Rs. 3311) after discounts is calculated through DD within 45 days.
                But still I did not receive any DD or calls from them regarding this. I am totally dissatisfied with this and I dont know whether I would be getting my refund.

                  I bought airtel HD+ setup box and I am given remote control without recording option. When I filed complaint via customer care they gave complaint number but didn't give me remote control and closed ticket .

                  Airtel Digital TV is full of frauds , I am not sure when I am going to get remote control.

                    I am Airtel DTH Customer with ID [protected].
                    I called customer care on 7-MAY-13 and provided a request for Reinstallation of the Airtel DTH connection. I was provided with the following reference number 30228513 and was told a service engineer would visit my place by 8-MAY-13 by 12:45 PM.

                    No one turned up on 8-MAY-13 and today 9-MAY-13 when I am calling customer care to get information regarding my request they are disconnecting the call. I tried 3 times and ll the 3 times they disconnected the call when I asked information regarding my request.

                    With this not only I am falling into hassle of calling customer care again and again but also losing a daily burn rate of Rs 12/-.

                    Please suggest on how to proceed.

                      This company is terminally sick, and the tragedy is the big bosses do not even know what is killing it. And if they know, they are surely not aware of its seriousness.

                      It’s the management that is killing the company. They have been concentrating only on maximizing profits, by means fair and foul, and that too unsuccessfully. The customer is its last concern; in fact of no concern at all. The sales function has been outsourced to shady agents who are profiting by cheating consumers. The agents also become agents for other shady dealers who are passing on spurious products to the consumers of Airtel. This has gone on for such a long time that the low level officers of the company are now a part of the network. These low level officers can make a customer’s life living hell if he ever crosses their path.

                      The company has a very elaborate system of ‘customer care’, which is apparently managed by robots. These robots do not understand the problem the consumer is facing, but send out only fifteen digit reference numbers, both by email and SMS. When they cannot sort out the problem they just become deaf and dumb. The company web site is a nightmare to navigate. It does not even provide the services it advertises. The only feature that works properly is the one collecting bills.

                      The servers of the company are in such a poor shape that even those responsible for running and maintaining them express helplessness when confronted. Even a function such as ‘My Account’ will not work most of the time. It is a frequent problem when servers do not recognize even the usernames of passwords.

                      If this company gets hold of your email ID or telephone number, it assumes it has a license to send emails and make calls, at the time of its choosing, on matters concerning only the company. And it arrogates to itself the right to collect data from you, at its own convenience, for all services it makes you pay for.

                      Airtel must be the only company in the whole world that is sure of advancement and growth in the face of vanishing legions of customers. For such an astonishing achievement it manages to sell its products, particularly broadband and TV to only those who do not have any other easy option. I wonder for how long?

                      Airtel must learn the importance of keeping the consumer happy and satisfied from what the Mahatma said to all businessmen. See the following Quote:

                      "A Customer is the most important
                      Visitor on our premise.
                      He is not dependent on us,
                      We are dependent on him.
                      He is not an interruption of our work,
                      He is the purpose of it.
                      He is not an outsider to our business,
                      He is a part of it.
                      We are not doing him a favor by serving him,
                      He is doing us a favor by giving us,
                      An opportunity to do so."

                      If Mr. Sunil Mittal does not agree with me, I would like to hear from him on this site. (Check just one A/C No. [protected]). If he can visit my home I will show him exactly how the customers of his company are systematically fleeced. I will also show him how his company invariably falls short of fulfilling its promises to the customer. He can contact me, if he has any interest in his clients, in Mumbai on 40151046 or 28576008.

                        I have prepade connection in my mobile. There was Rs. 41 balance in me mobile after that I didn't called anyone. But still
                        my balance decreases by Rs.18. Now it is Rs.23,how can it be possible?
                        Balance get less by 30 Rs.

                        Airtel — less discount given

                        Under my bill plan of Airtel CUG 149. it was agreed and confirmed by Airtel that 200 local minutes and 200 locan / national SMS will be given free everymonth. But now they are saying that it is 100 minutes and 100 local/national SMS free.

                        This is a clear case of cheating.

                          Hi,
                          We took Broadband Wifi connection from Airtel in May 2012. We got the connection transferred to a new address i.e. to Noida Sector 47, our new apartment. Since then the Internet connection has been working intermittently. Sometimes its slow, sometimes it doesnt get connected etc. We told this to Airtel engineer who transferred our connection and he said he will send another engineer to look into the issue. No one came, then we reached Airtel customer care multiple times and the customer care said that there is an issue from Airtel network side and it will be taken care of in 48 hours. It worked after 48 hours but again after a few days the issue started coming. Then again we called Airtel customer care multiple times and every time they assured it will work in some more time but it didnt. FInally we logged a complaint at the customer care and said we want some engineer to visit and rectify the whole issue for once and all, Airtel did not send any engineer even after assuring us. Then we again called them multiple times but no response, and then finally we went to Airtel office in Sector 25 Noida and told the issue and they logged a complaint number 31368648 in 13th April and finally the engineer visited on 14th April and said that the Modem is faulty and it needs replacement. He also said that the modem has just passed 1 year of warranty period (9th May) and hence we as customer have to do the replacement. We were not happy with this resolution because there was a huge delay from Airtel side in telling us that modem is faulty. So, we logged another complaint on 14th April[protected]. Again nothing happened, then we logged another complaint on 23rd Aril[protected]. After that we started receiving various calls from Airtel asking us the problem and every time these guys said that they will send some engineer to replace our modem, sometime they said they will replace the modem with an old one, sometime they said they wont replace the modem, BUT to cut it short, no engineer ever visited and no one resolved our issue. We kept on following up and we raised this issue to the Nodal team hoping that they will resolve the issue but again Nodal team did nothing. Then we approached the Appellate team hoping at least they will listen and do something, they did raise another complaint[protected] but again did nothing. Last update is that Appellate team member logged this complaint and said that she will send an engineer to double check the modem, an engineer called us from [protected] on 8th May noon and said he will visit on 9th. We told him to visit before 10 AM as we have to leave for office and he agreed and said he will definitely visit before 10 AM and give us call before visting. Again as expected, no one called us and no one visited on 9th April.
                          Airtel service center, nodal team, Appellate team has been playing games with us and making us roam in circles since more than 4 months and every time we call them they ask us to describe the whole issue again and again and they also do not send us the reference number for complaints. We are totally helpless and do not know what to do next. We have been paying Airtel bills on time for every month irrespective of these issues.
                          Any help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

                          Airtel Broadband — Airtel Harassment

                          Dear Sir,

                          My Name is Hamel K Mendawala and the airtel contact number is[protected]Broad Band connection)

                          Complaint History:
                          On 3rd June 2008 i had given an request for shifting of address to airtel, subsequent to which the connection was shifted by a engineer called Mr. Mrutyam. Later in the evening when i checked the connection it was working perfectly. Next day when i tried to connected to the broadband i was unable to do so, so i again logged an complaint with Airtel Customer care on 9th June 2009 (Request number[protected]. I was assured that the same will be solved within 24 hours. Next day i tried to connect but was of no use. So again on 10th june i called customer care and reclogged the complaint and again was given assurance that the same will be put on High Prority and solved immediately. Since then daily i get calls from your service engineers stating to check the connection they have rectified and in evening when i check, the same is not working and i have to call the customer care.

                          I almost end up calling to the customer care and executives daily 3-4 times, in the hope that they will be able to resolve the same but of no use. At the end i had given a call to airtel office at White House building on Friday 12th june, 2008 and i got an assurance that the problem would be resolved immediately by evening. The same night an executive named Mr.Gangadhar whose number is [protected] called me and said that shifting has not been done and there is some problem in server, so the same shall be rectified by Saturday. I again checked the connection on Saturday night and same status, connection not working.

                          Lastly loosing all hopes i called the customer care number 4 times on Sunday. Each time i was told to be on hold and i would be transferred to Voice detartment/Technical department and then no one replied on the other end. The executives whom i called on Sunday at call center are namely – Ms. Lakshmi, Ms. Madhu, Ms. Vijay Lakshmi and Mr. Surest.

                          I hope this mail explains in detail of the harassment i am getting from airtel and hope that my problem would be solved immediately.

                          Airtel Broadband — irresponsibility on tthe part of customer care

                          To whosoever it may concern
                          On 13 th of october 2010, i regeistered my complaint of disturbance in broadband connection, by the complaint no[protected]. Inspite of me requesting them to release my internet connection as i had exams the very next day , the airtel support service remained numb. Throughout the day i had called around 6 times and the only excuse they gave was that they would release the connection within four hours. my net conncetion has been blocked without any reason and the airtel customer care is trying to fool me by giving the non payment of dues as a reason which i already did through my credit card. this misbehaviour is bringing the company a very bad name, and its sure to lose its market reputation. the customer care people are very arrogant and insensible. i called them 6 times at around 11:45 pm to know about my connection and the man on the other side recieved the call once and then did not. how can airtel manage to hire such people. we are the ones who are paying and suffering too . i do not expect any instant help from the airtel staff which i think are all quiet dumb for their jobs.

                          Airtel broadband complaint — irresponsible service

                          I have been an airtel customer for the past 4-5 years. Till august I was using unlimited plan and i use to get a bill of not more than Rs.1200 and I also use to get this browser message and mobile sms regarding my usage stats.

                          Previous month when I switched over to a limited 799 plan with a 6gb limit, the bill has got to more than Rs.5000. When I switched the plan, airtel did not inform me that i wont be getting any usage warning and unbilled amount stat. when i asked them through customer care, one of their representatives said for limited plan no stats will be informed. why the hell they didnt inform me earlier? even if i crossed 6gb, i was not informed about the threshold limit through sms or browser message. I checked the bill amount of Rs.5000.

                          Also, there is no sign of 6gb usage discount in the bill. the usage showed around 20gb. so for a 20gb usage, the 6gb amount should be deduced from the bill.

                          also, the rent plan is rs.799. but it has been mentioned as rs.905. how? it is stated that 20 paise will be charged for each mb after 6gb o[censored]sage. so let me state that out of 20gb, 6gb is free.

                          so for the remaining 14 gb, an amount approx. rs. 2800 should be billed but it is in fact more than 5000.

                          it is not only a problem but i have called customer care thrice and yet they are not informing about the bill stats citing slowdowns.

                          1) airtel didnt inform me that i wont be getting any message when i cross the data limit for a limited plan.
                          2) no discount made for 6gb.
                          3) rent is mentioned as 905 but the plan rent is 799.
                          4) 4-5 years of being a customer has no real advantage and no discounts, special offers were made.
                          5) once i told them to switch to a limited plan but they upgraded to another unlimited plan without informing me.
                          6) they are out to make money. they will reduce the speed after a limit in an unlimited plan but they wont warn us regarding usage in a limited plan. because they want to make some bucks. when asked you are told to check the usage in their website which will take eons to load.
                          7) no respect or deductions for long value customers.
                          8) other services like bsnl offers same options for a much low cost.
                          9) limited plan sucks in airtel
                          10) iam going to switch over to bsnl after this horror.

                            Dear sir,

                            I have a prepaid mobile connection of AIRTEL - [protected]. The line is of KOLKATA, West Bengal. I was out of station from 9/5/2008 to 18/5/2008 for my job. I was in the area MALDAH, MURSHIDABAD of West Bengal. But today I have noticed that some ISLAMIC message is coming in my mobile. I contacted to customer care but they are saying that I have activated the service from 9/5/2008. Very funny thing. They are saying that I have activated the service. I belive that they have made it intetionaly.

                            Today 26/5/2008 they have de-activated the service. But since lat two weeks they have deducted perday Rs. 1.

                            My compalin no to AIRTEL Customer Care (service no 198) is [protected], talked with Mr. Dipankar Dutta (Supervisor).
                            They are not ready to revart back the price.

                            I want to revart back my price and they must be penalised for this type of ill service and customer harasment.

                            Airtel — NOT TAKING ACTION ON MY COMPLAINT

                            i tried complaining on the Airtel cutomer care but the executive did not have information about it, and he told me to call after 24 hours.

                            please note i am not using ANY extra service except for Hello Tunes for which already Rs.200 was deducted from my account.

                            I want a refund of those Rs.30 !!..its highly annoying.i am really really dissappointed with Airtel and request you to register a complaint from my side, and pls make sure a get a resolution for the same !

                            I am a user of airtel prepaid service.
                            Currently i am in roaming.
                            In the morning i recharged with amount 50 INR(talk time of 42 INR).
                            After that i have activated airtel online service which is charged at 5 INR per day.
                            So my account balance should be 37 INR.
                            But unfortunately my balance was 2.49 INR now.
                            So extra amount of 35 INR was deducted.
                            I want 35 amount to be credited back to my account.
                            Already i have informed the airtel service centre, but no actions from them till now.
                            Please make sure i get a resolution for the same.

                            Airtel Prepaid Connection — Unsolicited introduction of services and deduction for such services provided in my prepaid connection

                            Sir,

                            I am a prepaid subscriber of AIRTEL. My mobile phone no: is [protected] and I have an AIRTEL prepaid connection with lifetime validity. On 30.10.09 evening, I have recieved multiple SMSs from AIRTEL stating that I have downloaded their packages and have been regularly charged for each with the result that my entire amount of nearly Rs. 375/- has been deducted.

                            On trying to contact their customer care I only got a recorded message and could not speak to anyone directly. I had sent an email to them and only got an automatic reply with no one from the company making any effort to contact us regarding this complaint.

                            Kindly advise me how to proceed regarding these unsolicited message and unfair deduction of amount from my prepaid balance.

                            my name is Valerian Carvalho.
                            I am using mobile phone service of Airtel for last 4 years. Unwanted calls are always distrub me, like telemarketing calls & SMS any time, even SMS are recived at late night also.
                            so far Airtel have deducted lot money by sending VAS sms witohut being asked by me.
                            I had resister my number in Do Not Distrub service in 06 Feb2010 (reg. no.S[protected])
                            after that also they have continued sending .pl look in this matter urgentley

                            AirTel Prepaid Phone — Unwanted service registration

                            whenever I recharge my airtel prepaid, they subscribe me to some service without my knowledge and deduct predefined amount for the service. When that service renewal time come, they send sms and ask to renew the service. At that time only I come to know that they have subscribed me for some service. When I called custmer care, they replied I have applied for service and now they will stop the service and refund the money. I have never received such refunded money. And again after some time they subscribe me to some other service.

                            Airtel Prepaid — DEDUCTION OF CHARGES

                            i am having airtel prepaid connection in chennai always within couple of days i get msgs from airtel for activating or downloading without my request or without any proof they deduct charges from my balance when i call at customer care then they simply now that data is not updated so we can't provide u proof or refund ur amount so like this they only send msgs and deduct charges from my balance without my consultation or my request. they are simply cheating and fooling the customer like me
                            I got sms stating TT of Rs 90 for recharge of Rs.60 and I was robbed off Rs 120, HenceAirtel will do even worse things Better to ignore their offers and the company itself

                            I am using Airtel Nearly 10 years. I am from Tamilnadu and came to Gurgaon for work, Daily 4 0r 5 times Unnecessarily they are calling from Airtel and charging Roaming Charges. One Day I got a Message that Thanks for Downloading Mpack from Airtel and You Charged Rs. 50, I didn,t download anything and they sending this kind of message and charging, So i make a call to Customer Care they told we will revert it back, After some time i Make a call to customer number, the recording voice is saying that i am not allowed to call to that Number also they are Charging Each customer care call for Rs 3 / min.

                            I feel really bad About this service and Disconnect this Network and Change my network to others also i suggest my friends and family circle to choose another network..........

                            I, Dr. Satish K. Sain having airtel prepaid connection no [protected]. I have got SIM card changed on dated 02, April 2011.                             Airtel — Unwanted service activation and amount deduction from prepaid account balance

                            My name is Priyank Joshi and presently residing in Panagarh, district Burdwan, West Bengal. Currently I am using Airtel prepaid connection(mob. No -[protected] ). Initially my call rate was 50 paise per minute on all STD and LOCAL calls . On 12/05/11 I received a message of a special offer according to which on a recharge of Rs 12 I will get Rs 8.9 talk time and 40 paise per minute call rate on all STD and LOCAL calls for 60 days . I recharged on the same day and the scheme activated on the same day after I got a confirmation message. But on 09/06/11 without any intimation my call rate again changed to 50 raise per minute and when i called the customer care they told me that they will resolve the problem within 2 days but that did not happen. On 12/05/11 I again called the customer care to enquire about the problem then instead of solving that problem they activated a caller tune service on my prepaid number and charged Rs. 45. I again tried to call the customer care but now they are not receiving the call and there is nobody to solve the problem. So its a request to you kindly intervene into this so that i will get my amount back. . .

                            Unwanted amount has been deducted from my account and I keep getting advertising calls and SMS's.
                            I had submitted a complaint earlier for the same issue.
                            I had received a call from some Airtel rep and he mentioned that the amount was deducted by mistake for some kind of service pack and he had refunded me some amount ,however same day after a few minutes some amount wad deducted and after a few days some more and like that they kept deducting the amount.it is really frustrating.
                            Another big issue is I get lot of advertising calls and they are so irretating ..I feel like throwing this Airtel SIM..I have registred my number for do not contact list and even after that I keep get unnecessary calls from Airtel and messages ..Here are some of the numbers from I get calls almost every day atlest 4 to 5 times :- [protected] , [protected], [protected],[protected], [protected], [protected] .and so on ..there are many more numbers like this..I get unwanted messages from 56660 ..I hate this services like anything. I can not believe a company like Airtel can go to this level to trouble its customers.

                            I request Airtel customer services guys to look into this issue ASAP.
                            From my busy scheduled when I can take out time to write this long e mail you can understand my level of frustration. Airtel ..please stop troubling your customers.

                            recently i got a sms saying that some devotional service has got activated for me, and i can deactivate it by calling a number, since i have never opted for any such service, i immediately called on that provided number, however it took me nowhere, now everyday 2 rs, are getting deducted from my balance, and after several tries i am not able to talk to any of you customer care executive,

                            Its something pretty frustrating from Airtel side, how can they activate any service to a consumer without giving them a chance to accept or reject,

                            please ban them from such looting. unless customer ask for such services in writing they should not debit

                            Airtel Mobile Service — Customer service

                            This is Saibabu, i was using airtel mobile connection for past 3 years, by 16 months have got 2 more connections for which i have paid caution deposit for Rs. 300.00 each. When i was requesting for portability to another service provider due to service lapse during my tenure, they were telling enomerous reasons for rejecting my portabillity request. After 2 1/2 months fight i have had my numbers moved to Vodafone mobile connection. Know they had generated last bill after my transfer to extend of Rs.253.00 and Rs.232.00. When i asked to adjust against the caution deposit was told that it was already adjusted from by 4th bill onwards which dont evidence in the bill i had received. Moreover irrespective of all the escaltion where i due course, they have intimated the existing service that i have outstanding due and request to interept my connection. I strongly feel that AIRTEL have converted from EXTENDING SERVICE to EXTENDING MONEY in all means.

                            AirTel — regarding deducting money

                            i have recharge my mobile number with rs 30 via www.rechargeitnow.com website. but in online recharge they deducted my money from bank account but didn't give any balance..

                            i am using airtel service since 4 years. and airtel ap since 5 months since 1 month i am complaining the airtel customer care that my calls are being connected to wrong numbers frequently( 10-20 times a day) and am being charged for all the calls , and irritation when am in hurry to talk some... even after repeted complaints airtel is not responding properly and they are disconecting calls without any explanation or solution.

                            Airtel prepaid mobile — Unwanted weekly deduction by Yahoo zone

                            Yahoo zone is deducting Rs.10.00 every week through Airtel prepaid mobile service on my mob. no [protected]. This it is not authorised by me.I complained on 10 th Jan 2012 to Airtel to stop deduction and I was informed that action has been taken.Again duction was effected on 17th Jan.I again contacted customer care of Airtel.I was assured for deactivation of this deduction and further an SMS was given to me for Reference no CBDOV[protected] for my approach to Airtel in this regard. Inspite of all these the deduction is continued for 24th Jan and 31st Jan-2012.

                            Airtel Prepaid — deduction of charges for unregistered services

                            I have airtel prepaid no. [protected]. I have a very serious problem with the
                            airtel services. They are deducting charges for the services I have not
                            registered. I received a SMS from +5000 on 04.03.2012 regarding choosing
                            Games for which I was charged Rs.10/-. Now today I received an SMS from
                            AD-92956 regarding choosing devotional songs for which I was charged Rs.30/-.
                            Incidents of this type have occured previously but now it is happening on a
                            regular basis. This is causing harassment as I recharge my account and then
                            suddenly find some amount deducted from my balance.
                            Kindly look into the matter so that incidents of such type do not occur in
                            future and also the amounts deducted as mentioned above may kindly be
                            returned to my account.

                              I called up Airtel customer care to activate internet plan - 99 INR pack which generally gives 1 GB of free usage(2G data) in the last week of billing cycle.
                              I wasn't informed that the plan is charged pro rata basis.
                              I didn't get any message regarding the plan activation to my registered mobile number.
                              I wasn't informed on how much free usage is available and how much i'll be charged for that month on internet activation.
                              And so i browsed internet and consumed around 600 MB in initial few days.

                              When i saw the bill, it was 4300 INR. When i asked customer care, they replied that i crossed free usage which is around 200 MB, which is never intimated to me on activation and the rest 400 MB of 2G usage is charged at prorata basis which is around 4k.
                              Atleast i expect that when i use all free usage, an intimation should be sent to user that additional usage will be charged at prorata basis, which is never the case.

                              Over all a worst experience with Airtel customer care, and had to terminate mobile services from the provider.

                                      I had purchased an Airtel DTH SD Set top box and subscribed to a South Super Value pack plan on 3rd May 2013, through the Airel website and made an online payment of Rs. 1790/- I got a call from the web sales team that payment is received and the installation will be done on the same day. No one turned up till late evening. I waited for another two days and called up the customer care, who informed that for online payments it takes 24-72 hours for installation. Till evening yesterday 7th May , no one called up for scheduling installation. I called the customer care to follow up. After several back to back calls, they said it will be taken forward with back end team. I finally got a call yesterday form the installation team asking when is the convenient time for the installation. I requested them to do the work same day (yesterday) itself. Then I was told the technical person is not available and installation was re-scheduled to today morning 10 o' clock. As expected, no has called till now and the number from which i got the call yesterday is "busy" or my call is forwarded every time i try to reach that person.

                                      Airtel DTH — Installation not being done

                                      Hi,
                                      We have shifted our house from Perungalathur to Guduvanchery and have requested for a re installation of the Airtel DTH connection (Customer ID: [protected]). We have called multiple times and each time we get an answer that the installation would be done by today afternoon, and if we call in the afternoon, we get the reply, by 5:30 PM. I really cannot understand your problem and fed up of the hallow promises given through customer care. To top it all once they have even closed the complaint that we lodged stating that the issue has been addressed. Until now no one has contacted us. This is going on for the past four days.

                                      After seeing Airtels response in few of the complaints, I m hoping that some one would address this issue and still have a little bit of faith.

                                        I recharged Airtel dongle on 6th april,2013 for 749 rs online. This plan is 3G recharge with validity of 30 days. After recharging when I try to connect to the internet , it takes lot of time to load a page. Speed is around 30Kbps to 50 Kbps which is less than the 2G speed. I have called so many times to Airtel customer care. All I got was the false assurance of fixing the problem in 3 -5dyas every time i called them. They admit that some server is not updating the online recharge amount. But they are not taking any action on it,though they are telling they will get back to me within an hour but nothing response I got till now.
                                        Below is my dongle number[protected]. Can you please tell me how to get my money back as the month is over still I am not getting good speed.
