Sir,

I am using Airtel prepaid service. But from past 12 months I am facing verry bad coverage problem.
The signal strength is very poor at our residence which is at Kharagpur, West Midnapur, West Bengal.
The voice breaks during any call both incoming and outgoing and the problem is both indoor and outdoor.
I complained on customer care innumerable times but till now I got no solution. Every time I complain on Customer Care they just give a time and when the time expires the problem remains same as previous.
And now I am feedup of complaining again and again.

i like airtel priped sebha
I have taken a new AIRTEL prepaid lifetime SIM on[protected] & then i recharge with Rs.498/- for unlimited internet.Then customer care persons told me that within 48hrs you can access it.but i failed more funny thing that i am calling 12118 number, automatically it diverted to 121 & customer care persons harass me & can't beleive me, lastly cut the phone.They are telling that my handset(N72) is not updated to them.
so i cant get the MOBILE OFFICE settings for using internet.
AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE PERSON'S BEHAVIOUR ARE VERY VERY BAD & AIRTEL SERVICE IS MORE BAD.
AFTER 3TIMES CALLING TO CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTRE NO CONNECTION TO SERVICE CENTRE WITHIN 24hrs.

Dear Sir

I am from Delhi and often go to Siliguri for the official work, therefore to reduce the expanses on communication we procured one Local AIRTEL SIM having Mob No [protected]. The same was E, Charged at Delhi for Rs 300/- Through Mob No [protected] on 20 July 09 at 12.58 PM. The funniest thing is that we receive the massage that > RE CHARGE SUCCESSFUL ON[protected] AT 12.58 PM. TALK TIME Rs 0.00 MRP RS 300.00 TRANS ID[protected]. CALL 12131 TO KNOW BEST AIRTEL OFFER. Sender E Charge.
We have tried all the measure to know what exactly has happened, but all in vein. I have incurred lose also due to this . Please help me because AIRTEL is dumb in this matter.

I'm using airtel from 3 yrs .. All is good in Airtel But mobile Office rental is too high 498 rs/month ..Whether in Aircel, it's just only rs 98/month .. I know in aircel speed is half of airtel but the rental is 5 times smaller than AIRTEL .. Now it's reduced to 1536 mb in a month . Previous was unlimited .. So I'm requesting airtel to please look after this & reduce mobile office rentals .

    Hi,
    I am a prepaid card holder of airtel prepaid service. My card is a 'Friends' card. With this I can form a group with four other Friends card holders & enjoy a call rate of 10paise/min. You can break from the existing group anytime you want & can form a new group or join another group. I formed my group with my three friends. Some days later(In the month of May) I wanted to break from the group & wanted to join another group. But whenever I tried so I would get a service reply, " You were unable to break from the group." I contacted the Airtel customer care & inormed about the problem numerous times. At first the Customer Care Associate told me that there is a technical problem with the system and numerous other customers were acing the same problem. They further told me that they are unaware as to when the problem will be resolved. They told me to try again & again to break from the group till I succed.However I haven't been able so far to break from the group. Meanwhile I registered a formal complaint with airtel customer care on June 18th 2008 & they assured me that the complaint will be attended soon. But neither have I received any sort of communication rom them nor my problem has been resolved so far. Even today also I tried to break from the group but received the same service reply...

    Hi, I have a similar but much worse problem. I have been a member of a CUG since 3 years now. Recently i decided to break from this group and form a new one. However when i follwed the procedure, the only message i got was "System is processing your request". Finally i called up Customer Care. In fact I've been calling them for 6 months now. The only reply i get is "We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience. Your problem will be resolved in 24 hours. Our technician will call you in the next 24 hours". I wonder if 24 hours and 6 months are the same!! I think Airtel Customer Service should be renamed to Airtel Customer Harass.
    Exact same problems ... except that i get a message saying
    "You were unable to break from the group[113]".
    Customer Care people have no clue bout it and so they anything ...
    like ...
    restart ur phone and try again
    try after 24hrs.
    am going really mad at it now ...

    Airtel Prepaid — Problem Coming in Breaking the Group

    i have friendz sim card but while breaking the group my request is only in pending.No any reply or return msg comes for me.From[protected] i was trying to break group, And also calls to cc but they only says me problem will solve in 12, 24, 48 hrs.But never problem solve.

          I have received one sms from 52255 (Friends Zone). I send the reply to that mail id.. After that reply i rec'd reply from the id..
          But when ever they contact that time only i send reply... other time i send any msg it display me as this information was invalid.. kindly send me the address for that zone and reply me...

          Yes.. He is absolutely right. Airtel has adapted such cheap business tactics.. Shame on Airtel.. Still Iam getting such messages from Airtel.
          TRAI must look into such matters and should penalise them with huge monetery penalties and code of conduct. so that no other service provider would dare to take such cheating tactics to improve their revenue.. I really wonder whats TRAI doing... Is it really worth having or is it completely lost its consciousness????

              i am poor costomer of airtel mobile, i take a new connection airtel pree paid before 45 days. when i took connection, i submit add.proof(ration card with photo). then ur people want to me again id proof. i submit my id proof (voter id & photo ) 7 days before. there have no response till. i am waiting for ur resposable action . other wise i leave my airtel connection.

                Sir/ Madam,

                This is to bring to your kind attention that I am an Airtel customer for quite some time now and my mobile number is as mentioned above. I am facing a problem with the online payment of my bill. I have tried logging on to my online portal and make a payment. however it did not accept the password for some reason. I tried resetting the password from the same portal. But that did not work.

                I have spoken to a number of Customer Service Executives so far on this and also spoken to three supervisors on floor. Nobody seemed to be able to give me a proper solution. Everytime I was told that due to server upgradation this issue is occurring. However I would like to know - Can a telecom company afford to keep their servers down for 48 hours and make their customers suffer for that?

                Moreover, since my outgoing is barred, I am not even being able to send the WEBPSWD request through SMS to 121. As informed already for a number of times, I am not in a condition to visit any of your outlets and make the payment physically. Online payment is the only option for me right now.

                I am not being able to make any outgoing calls as my outgoing is barred and I am also not being able to make the payment for the outstanding bill. Would like to know, why for no fault of mine, I am made to suffer so terribly.

                To add to this, during my interaction with your supervisor Amit Nandi, he clearly mentioned that "Airtel cannot help you. If you cannot pay your bill, it is your problem..."
                Would like to know ... Does this go in accordance with your customer service agreement? Is this the way you are used to treat Corporate Customers?

                I had taken this connection with the expectation that I will be able to avail the services that has been promised and committed to me.

                    On 30th.June I got delivery of a sim card and within 2 days varification was completed..till today ie 11th July 2008 sim is not activated..almost everyday I have been calling retailer regarding that and their answer is "your phone is already activated" when I contacted Airtel costomer service to know the status they informed me that the number allotted to you by retailer is already registered with another person who is using it.
                    Can some one help me out? How can I get out of these useless hassles?

                    we have purchased the new sim card on dt 05/07/08 from kiran mktg at borivali (w).sim no. is [protected] (life time) & I have submitted all document But sim is not activated till date & I have visited the kiran mktg (gallery) twice but despite giving assurances of activation it has not been activated till yet.I am waiting for your response.

                    Dear sir, I am using Air Tel mobile services since last 2 years. Earlier i was using Air Tel postpaid service having mobile no.[protected]. Then, during this july i have tranferred my Postpaid connection to Prepaid connection. But, due to any faulty input that issued prepaid SIM have gotten blocked by only your Air Tel personnel. Further, your personnel at Air Tel, Communication Needs, Shop No.1, CS-1 Block, Sector-25, Noida, have issued a new prepaid SIM with the same number on 08 Oct.2008 and activated as well and simultaneously, a lifetime recharge of Rs. 999/- have been made. But, on 20 Oct. 2008, my prepaid SIM have got blocked, and no one is getting why it was happened...? I have made several requests & complaints to your customer support as well as that retail Air Tel counter at sector-25, Noida, but, no one of your personnel is responding to resolve this issue. They all are just replying account is showing SIM is blocked and assuring this No. will get back in next 24-96 hrs. but have not gotten started. Therfore, here i m requesting you to please solve this issue to avoid the threat of improper services from Air Tel. Thanking you.

                    But till date i have not got the sim activated after repeated request at
                    Jail road center and when i call at your customer care they don t give
                    complaint no as my connection is not working. They always suggest that i
                    should visit center and request them and time is passing by but nobody
                    cares to take any action.

                    Even after 4 months my connection is not working and i am losing on my
                    advance rent.

                    As per my opinion i have prepaid advance rent for 1 year that s why air
                    tell people are ignorant and not taking any action on my request.

                    Has my no. been allotted to sum other customer or what s the problem.

                    You are requested to get my sim activated at earliest and accordingly give
                    extension of duration in relation to my advance rent

                    Airtel — AIRTEL stopped call processing

                    Hi AIRTEL,

                    I have Mobile phone of NKTEL company having dual sim withVALID IMEI number.
                    But on my Airtel mobile I was continuously receiving the message like :My IMEI number is not valid and get new IMEI by paying Rs 199.
                    I have checked and confirmed that the IMEI number of mobile is VALID with the help of messaging to 57886 & also to121.Both messages told me that it is valid.But from today the company stopped my call processing.
                    But the 2nd sim (Voda fone) is perfectly running well in this mobile.

                    Airtel — Incoming calls barred and verification documents not processed yet

                    Dear Sir,

                    My number is not working and I able to make only outgoing calls but not able to receive any incoming calls.I work as a Independent consultant and this is my only number on which my clients can call me.As they are not able to call me due to which I am losing business ,i.e. a financial loss for me as well apart from the harressment and mentel torture from Airtel side.

                    The customer care people are doing nothing and suggesting some weird solutions such as to "manually select airtel network on the phone settings" inspite of telling them that I am calling from the same number and airtel is being displayed as the network.Yesterday,other airtel representative told me that the verification documents are not received due to which the incoming calls are barred.I am not able to understand why the documnets are still not processed when I submitted the licence proof and PAN card on 18/03/2010.
                    Just to give an overview why the documents were required :
                    I have been using this mobile no for the past 6 years but the sim stopped working due to which i got a new sim from airtel main office,gurgaon by paying rs 25/- on 18/03/2010(as the airtel office in vasant kunj,masoodpur refused to give a new sim and suggested to go to the main office in gurgaon,thereby i had to travel all the way from delhi to gurgaon).The sim was activated after a lot of folow-up with the airtel customer care but the incoming is till barred.Now,when i call the customer care they say that again i have to go to the place from where i have purchased the new sim and follow-up with them.

                    i am a senior citizen and can't travel to gurgaon again and again

                    This is a harassment and mental torture to me from airtel and i have been calling the customer care many times for getting this done.Also,this is a mistake from Airtel's end and I am starting losing my patience now!!!!!!!.

                    Airtel — being tortured for giving documents again and again

                    Sir, before a long time on my request airtel issued the two nos. i.e [protected] and [protected] to me. I submitted my complete documents as per the requirements of the company and govt. of India ( election i.d proof, photograph and fulfilled the application form ) to the dealer but again your company telephoned to me to submit the documents again, I adopted the above same procedure again. In this regard any person named Deepak telephoned to me again to submit the document third time now I am afraid of in this terrorism world that my documents can be used for the criminal activities. I don't know who is Deepak. If the documents are misplaced who is responsible for it or if there is a fault on the side of company about address etc it is not the responsibility of mine. If in this case the company wants to get my documents third time they have to give in writing about the previous documents and now to get the purpose of documents and guarntee the documents will not be used for any unsocial activity. I have informed you and if I will be tortured information will be sent to police as well as hon'ble court.

                    Airtel — Document not correct

                    Dear Sir:

                    I got a Airtel no:[protected] a few years back but last week I got a message saying that "as per the government audit agency the documents pertaining to your airtel moblie numver are found to be incorrect.please submit passport size photo address and photo ID proof with duly filled prepaid application form at your nearest airtel relationship centre within 3 days"

                    I submited all the document on the same day I got the message. but now my phone can not making STD and ISD call...

                    For many years I used the same number and I cannt afford to lose this number, since I'm a NRI and all my contact even from outside india know me as only this number...

                    so Please verify what is going on and what can I do about it.

                    Airtel — re verification

                    sir I am a defence personnel.i submited my documents for re verification as desired by the company in the month of jan 2011.I got the acknowledgement that my documents are correct and my services continues. now again i am getting sms asking me to submit the documents for re verification lest my phone will be disconnected.why is it so.other company like aircel has never asked for re verification
                    in world cup days, cricked updates sms started automatically on my phone which i overlooked.when i noticed that my balance is being deducted, i contacted customer care.the executive did not agree that there can be some malfunctioning in the system, .I was refered to his supervisor/senior.A lady came on line but she too was reluctant to admit the error instead blamed me of activating the service, enjoyed it and then complaining.she even said that go ahead with your complaint any where you wish.
                    later I learned that this type of cheating has been done to my other colleagues too.

                    Airtel — Not activate blocked Sim card

                    My sim card was blocked for non-usage for a continuous period of 3 months, which is not true. I used my phone every single day. Now they are saying that my number has been recycled. It's been 2 weeks since the outgoing and incoming service on my phone has been blocked, but despite speaking to the customer care people, no action has been taken. They keep asking me to come back after 2 or 3 days, and this has gone on forever.

                    No one in airtel is willing to take responsibility for what is happening to my number. PATHETIC CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE. I would strongly recommend anyone thinking of choosing to avail airtel's services to give it a second thought. There are better mobile-service providers.

                    Respected Sir,
                    I am Nirbhik Sengupta owner of the number [protected](Airtel) want to register a complaint about the constant harassment by my mobile service provider.Inspite of submitting all documents and the validity of my number (upto july 14, 2014)as shown on checking validity from my number, my incoming calls are not being processed and the caller is informed "THIS NUMBER IS TEMPORARILY OUT OF SERVICE". I tried calling 198 and complaining but they aren't processing my call to their customer care executive.I will be highly thankful if the problem is sorted out at the earliest as I am in urgent need of the number to be functioning properly.

                    AirTel — Verification of documents

                    Hi,
                    Airtel has suddenly deactivated my sim saying that I need to submit documents for reverification. I am facing a lot of problem as I used to receive very important calls on this sim. As I am in Rajasthan and the sim is registered in Tamil Nadu, it will cost me a lot of money and time to go and submit the documents in Tamil Nadu. As they want me to submit my documents in TN not anywhere else in India. Please provide me a solution for this problem.

                      I have mobile prepaid charge that has 6 years life time. The moble worked well till january 2008 when I last used and has a balance of about Rs.100/=.and mobile No. [protected]. I was not using this number as I did not need after January till June2008. Now when I loaded the sim card, the registration failed and I did contact the Airtel Cust Service Coimbatore, where this connection exists. and was told that not using the mobile for more than 20days or some period which the person at the desk is not sure of.. automatically the registration gets cancelled and all the records are deleted. When I asked as to what happens to the balance of amount and the socalled 6 years lifetime...The only reply is "Sorry" from the help desk as there is no record available on this number and when asked that I wish to talk to some responsible seniors, I was told that within 24 hrs somebody will talk to me regarding this dis-service. But nothing happened so far...

                      I want to know if this is an accidental error and will be rectified after clarification...or a cdeliberate cancellation action with a view to hide the fact that there is no such thing as life of service if not in current use immaterial to the balance of money however large or small it might be. Why, on earth, if the connection has been cancelled, the balance amount is not returned to me since they have my address proof document.

                      I understand that there are many similar complaints and do not know if anybody got solved.

                      Will the Airtel answer to this and tell as to how they close my account when there is an outstanding amount with them and fail to return or intimate me for clarification if any...and when and where it is mentioned in the prepaid service that one has to continuously use immaterial to the life of the prepaid purchase...

                      I have had exactly the same problem with my Airtel life prepaid card: My mobile no. is [protected]. I had a balance of over Rs. 200 when I last used it in August 2010. I did not need it until 18 Feb 2011, when I loaded the sim card but reigstration failed.

                      I contacted Airtel customer service (198) from another mobile and was told that registration is cancelled if the number is not used for 3 months. When asked where this rule is specified, the Airtel customer serivce officer just disconnected the phone. I then went to the 'Airtel Relationship Centre' in Aundh, Pune, where the number was registered and was told by one employee there there that the connection gets cancelled on if the number is not used for 15 days. A second employee called Priyanka said the connection gets cancelled on if the number is not used for 1 month. When I asked what the exact period of non-usage is, whether it is a) 15 days or b) 1 month or c) 3 months (information given by three separate Airtel Customer Service officers), and where I can find this information in writing, the employees were obviously at a loss, and rude and unhelpful to boot.

                      Airtel Customer Service is shockingly incompetent and ignorant. I want the same answers from Airtel as the customer above:
                      Ia) how can they close my account when there is an outstanding amount with them and fail to respond to my attempts at clarification; and
                      b) when and where it is mentioned in the prepaid service that one has to continuously use the mobile no. regardless of the life of the prepaid purchase.

                        Lost Mobile phone with SIM

                        I have lost my Mobile phone with SIM of Airtel Prepaid. I want my SIM to be blocked for any in/out calls. I contacted Airtel customer care service at 121 today 10 July 2008. They replied very unsatisfactorily saying they have not got any such facilities. Request block my SIM to avoid any undesirable use....

                        Hi,

                        I had a Airtel connection with me and i got it disconnected in May and i wrote to the company stating disconnecting the broadband and to take back the instrument and sending someone to take the bill from me. After one month a guy came back from airtel and took the instrument and gave me a reciept for the same and I asked him about the bill and he said another person will come to collect it. Another month passed by and nobody came and instead got a call from some one from high court stating that airtel has pulled a "cheating/fraud" case against me. I was in a state of shock. He gave me a number of some lawyer and i called her she said that the case is due to nonpayment of bill and she asked me if i want to contest it. I said there is no point contesting the case as there is no case as in there was no call from Airtel for the payment of the bill and nobody came from their side to pick the bill and I was willing to pay the bill. She said she cannot do anything about it. I discussed it with a few of my friends and they said it is not from the court as they do not usually call they send a summon i was a little relieved and a few days later i received a call from a recovery agent stating that you have not made the payment and all. I said send some one to collect and he declined.
                        At last i went to their office and made the payment and told them if they wanted the payment so badly then y in the first place they dint send the bill or someone to pick it up and when i called earlier there was no response from them

                          Airtel Mobile Prepaid — UNWANTED SERVICE MESSAGE

                          My moible no is [protected]. They are frequently sending service msg which i don't like at all. When I was recharged suddenly one msg came, just i cliked. then immediately Rs.99 was deducted. For your infomation even i don't know what is this. Don't send any such service msg. they are also sending cine actress msg and want to earn money. It happend to my friend. We need phone for our comfort only and not for Airtel to take it granted . I don't want any service or messsage from Airtel except at the time of recharging msg.

                            Sir,

                            This is in regards with my airtel # [protected]. I was using this no since Dec2006. From last 8 months was getting bills above 4000/- though the usage was much less than that. After noticing the high bills trend being followed i got my no converted to a prepaid no[as per the process this can only be done if i clear all my outstanding dues] and so i paid another 4000 bucks and got my number converted. this was done in March. Since then i did not hear from airtel. 3 days back i directly got a LEGAL notice calling me a fraud for not payin 1800/- and so now asking me to pay an amount of 5000!!!. They also mentioned they had informed me several times before sending me the notice.
                            But..
                            Firstly.
                            1) I paid the entire amount before getting the no convrted to a prepaid no, else it would have nt been converted.
                            2) there was not a single communication from airtel's end to inform me that i need to further pay some amount. No bill was sent to inform the same or no call was given.
                            3) Calling me a fraud, if i was a fraud i would have not paid the entire amount, Noone would pay 5000/- continously for 6 months and then do a fraud of mere 1800/-

                            On contacting them the same day. they had no answers except for "sorry s".. On demanding an answer i was promised a call back within 24 hours. after waiting for 48 hrs i called them again, again repeating the whole story and again i was told i would i would get a call back within 4 hours. Its been 30 hrs now. The numbers for nodal officer are continously busy. even now they are not botheed to sort it out and give a solution.
                            I dont know what should i do.. I am totaly fedup. please help..!

                            Dear Reader,

                            I was using the AIRTEL Bharti postpaid connection [protected].Airtel was sending me huge bills (I have TATA postpaid too ) Without having used that much.

                            I had paid their all bills and got it disconnected. I dont know y they had now sent me legal notice for not paying 1900 ?

                            This is in continuation for my complain regarding reversal the amount ( Rs.227.89/-) of Value added services and discontinuation of value added services which I had never requested.

                            I am aghast that it has been charged again and only Rs.165.46/- reversed. (refer bill date: 04-Sep-2009)

                            IT MEANS AIRTEL MOVED BACK FROM ITS WORDS. AND ABOVE ALL AIRETL HAS COMMUNICATED THAT WITH NO USAGES FOR 3 MONTHS LINE WOULD BE DEACTIVED.

                              Hi,

                              I am from Bangalore and I have this airtel postpaid connection from last 4 years. Till last 6 months they were issuing the receipt for the payment made. Now they have stopped issuing receipt saying that it is order of the company, not to issue payment receipt, even if you insist also they bluntly reject your payment and say they are helpless, if I dont pay my bill then as late payment charges will be levied.

                              I smell something fishy there because, when you drink a coffee/tea you will be given receipt if you insist and when I am paying thousands of rupees as my bill still I wont get receipt. Since I am a sales person I need receipt to get it reimbursed. When I call and inquire, they say they have withdrawn that facility, what? withdrawn facility?, common for any legitimate business it is mandatory to provide receipts for the payment received.

                              Let me know if any of you are facing same problem, how to deal this illegal activity.

                              Airtel — Delayed receipt of bills

                              I receive the monthly bills of my airtel blackberry only after the due date is over. Several complaints to the company has not improved the situation. it becomes very difficult to ensure timely payment of bills.

                              Billing — late receipt of bills

                              Sir,

                              I am residing in Group 13 (179-A), Pocket A-3, mayur Vihar Phase - III, Delhi 96. Normally we are receiving bills so late i.e. due date printed on the bill si 7th January, 2009 and the same is received on 25th January, 2008 with a rubber stamp of 30th January, 2009. The Postoffice and Banks are not accepting the rubber stamp.

                              Please look into the same and take necessary steps to rectify the same.

                              Also arrange for the online payment system, which is convenient to all public.

                                Dear Sir,

                                Airtel offers two schemes (Monthly Rs 401 or Rs. 15 daily) for activation of mobile office by which we can access the internet by connecting mobiles to our computer.
                                I recharged Rs 401 through mchek service, but the service is not activated yet.
                                - On this issue I have contacted 7times to the customer care executives of Gujurat region, Ahmedabad. But different peope are providing contradictory answers everytime as if there is no standard procedure for attending the problem.
                                - The executives tell that this type of recharge cannot be done through mchek, but how would the customer know about these issues and ultimately the sufferer is the customer only. Though money has been transfered to airtel's account, still they are not able to provide the service or to refund the money back.
                                - The complaint attending executives are not ready to solve the problem and also they are not providing any assistance to talk to the next heads. They even tell that they cannot give the contact numbers of there immidiate heads.

                                hi, m vineesh my no. is [protected] my gprs gone last month n i am unable to connect to GPRS as normally as my colleagues do. I don't know if it is a problem with sim or network. I had filed 53 complaints against the same in airtel 121, but no response. I had visited airtel outlet number of times but no improvements. They have simply looted my money in the name of monthly rent.

                                Hii.. i read ur above complain.. you do not need to request them again and again... the right way to get ur money back is to sue them in the consumer court o[censored]r area. The company is in fault of bad services, so your complain will register at consumer court i[censored] file it, and not just the company have to pay you ur Rs.401 but also u can demand for compensation on behalf of mental harrassment. You will no need to hire any lawyer to file a complain in consumer court also the procedure is very simple to file case in consumer court with a very nominal fee from Rs. 100 to Rs.1000 depend on how much compensation u demands. Rs.100 fee is for the compensation upto Rs, 1, 00, 000.
                                I am giving here few websites links where you can see the consumer court addressess as well as the procedure and fee to how to file ur case.
                                Go on dude be strong u don't need to request these companies who r in fault of their services. After all its ur money.

                                i dont know why the customer care people dont know this thing that from where the unbilled amout increasing per day whitout using GPRS.

                                  I am a customer of Airtel Prepaid services since 3-4 yrs now...

                                  However, from the last one year i'm getting network coverage problems, due to which i may have lost my important calls...it was also never the case that i have not validated mobile validity services for a single month...I am very much disappointed that even after paying money to the company they are not able to provide the services effectively.

                                  For the above i have communicated with their Customer Services desk. The representatives just assured me with the false solutions which were never worked. I lodged my complaints with them in the month of March 2008 but of no use. Today i.e. on 9th July i'd called them for the same issue but the story was not different than above.

                                  Please help me on this issues as I'm not at all satisfied with the services provided by the Airtel Prepaid Servicces...

                                    Well Airtel has just qualified for a status with Bsnl. Had done a shift transfer of the phone. During the call had mentioned that DSL needs to be activated. The CS guy gave me a date of 5 days and said both will be done. After 3 days this guy shows up at my house, so i had leave work and go home. Apparently he had come to check the wiring. He told me the internet people will be coming the next day. For 2 days no progress. Called them up, they said it will be done by the next day. Next day called them up the CS girl Meenakshi tells me, well they have passes on the request to the concerned department and they will get to it when they can. After 4 calls the person finally shows up. He calls me up and said the connection is working. I asked him if the internet was working. He said it is but they don't have the laptop. So I drove home to find out that they have just done the landine. So i talked to the cs again who refred it to their mgr. She said that a form had to be filled so they are sending the form and it will be done soon. after a lot of pow wow they agreed tol have it installed definitely by 10:30 am the next day. waited waited no person shows up. The mgr said oh it will be done by 2pm. Its 6:10 right now and nothing done. I've left early from my office twice and cam late once. Pathetic, Pathetic, Pathetic CS.

                                    They have taken 2 weeks to convert my connection from corporate to individual which was promised to be done withhin 4 days.

                                    After 2 weeks when I'm in singpore they disconnect my International roaming as part of the conversion. And then I dont have a connectivity from past few days.

                                    Worst part is that I cannot contact the customer service from Singapore and Airtel doesnot even respond to the mails. Only automated mails from customer service comes which says they are working on the issue.

                                    This is not the first instance I am having problem with Airtel. Their billing process is also pathetic. Most often I dont get my bills on time.

                                    The worst customer support I have ever experienced. I am totally frustrated. The right guys are not on the job.

                                    I am wondering how I can contact the CxO to escalte.
                                    The Worst Customer Service from Airtel – A mail written by me nearly a week ago received only an auto acknowledgement not these guys are not even bothered to reply to customer complaints. Pathetic. Read below to see how airtel treats its customers
                                    Hi,

                                    Iam writing to complain about the pathetic customer service provided by your customer care executives. I have a postpaid mobile connection with you for almost 4 years now and yesterday (25th June) my connection had been "barred". I was getting the error message "sim card registration failed". I had called up your customer care from a landline number and told them about the issue at around 2 pm and along with all the details regarding my location landmark and everything. I even gave them a landline number to contact me in case of resolution, however i did not recieve any intimation from you. At around 10 pm when i was jus switched off and switched on again I found that it was working and i left it.

                                    However, today (26th June) I faced the same issue in the morning and called up your customer care at around 8.30 am, your executive assured me that the issue would be resolved in "2 hours" seems like he was on a different time zone. After nearly 3 hours i called back and this time i was asked to narrate the issue from the beginning. Location land mark et al. Dont you guys have a log which records the complaints?? and follow up whether its resolved??? this time your executive went even better. They said they'll get back to me in "10 minutes" and guess wat? surprise surprise again the call never came.

                                    I had to call back again around 1 pm and guess wat your guys would have still wanted to know wat the issue was if i had not asked them to look up for the previous calls. Pathetic.

                                    Again a 2 hour deadline...surprisingly it worked this time and i got a message from airtel saying that my connection has been reactivated. Not so nice considering the fact it should not have been deactivated in the first place. And if there is an issue which you dont know how long its going to take to be resolved dont give timelines which your not able to meet. Atleast have the courtesy to tell me how long its gonna take so that i can make alternate arrangements. And never tell you'll call back if you have no intention of doing so.

                                    Pathetic. Simply Pathetic.

                                    I dont know whether the earlier issue of my calls to 121 going to corporate cell in delhi has been resolved.

                                    However, you wont loose anythin till number portability comes in. However, be sure that i'll be posting a copy of this mail in my blog and forwarding it to all my friends.

                                    To start of by saying that by far airtel has been the worst service provider i have come across would be an understatement. The fact that suprises me is that the irresponsibility continues from the customer care executives uptill the nodal officers!!! all they can provide is false promises.

                                    I had an airetl blackberry number [protected]. In the month of july 08 i got the black berry services deactivated & got the number converted to a normal postpaid at an airtel center in Koramangla. I was surprised to find in my Aug 08 bill that the black berry charges were being still inculded & that even for the month of July the charges were levied for the full month. I had made a complaint on their customer care number & was asked to get in touch with their manager. When nothing worked i got in touch with a nodal officer Patricia on the number provided on the website. She assured that the charges would be reversed & that the blacberry services would be discontinued. This was in aug & now we are in oct 08 end, till date no sucess..few more calls to her & to a certain manager at their customer care numbers later i am still where i started that is nowhere!! The nodal officer number provided on th website doesnt work anymore and i have not used the number since the issue started.The charges amounting to some 5000 rs have not been reversed till date..

                                    One more area where they exhibited irresponsible bevaiour to their fullest was in providing the June 08 bill requested by me. The same was sent to the company mail id which i had got changed since i left in Jun 08. Time & again I called them requesting them to mail me the bill to the changed mail id, to a response "immediately ma'am"..till date no progress..now I am being told that they no longer have the jun 08 bill in their records so cant send it!!! were they waiting for 3 months just so that they dont have to send the bill!!!

                                    The amount of mental torture i had to go through in the last few months courtesy airtel is something i just cant put in words!! Pathetic service levels, complete disregard for any customer/ customer complaints & audacity exhibited in the responses which they give is what summarises airtel!!!
                                    I called up the Customer Service on Nov 2nd Regarding two Concerns.

                                    First problem was I was getting promotional SMS's from Manjunath about some property deals. I do not
                                    have any no. displayed to mention, it only shows the name of the sender I have been receiving messages
                                    from the same sender for the past 4 days, as my no. is in NDNC I do not like to receive any promotional
                                    calls or SMS's, and to me its very annoying.


                                    I spoke to Syed he was having quite a funny tone was very arrogant and kept on asking me the sender's no. which I do not know
                                    I realized he's of no help I demanded for a Supervisor and I got Sameer on the phone, He booked a complaint
                                    on this.


                                    Secondly, I have made cash bill payments for both my no.'s on 25th at the airtel outlet on Richmond road.
                                    As Airtel wont provide me any receipt or reference no I have no track of it and have been receiving calls from
                                    Airtel enquiring about the payment. Samer wanted my payment reference no. which I was not provided with
                                    and told me he cannot believe me that I have made the payment and denied me helping with the matter.
                                    I asked for a manager to speak with which he said he cannot transfer, denied for an e-mail address.

                                    I got a message even today from 121 asking to make the payment or my services will be discontinued. So I went to the
                                    Airtel outlet where I made the payment, but It was closed down and there were lot of people standing outside with the same
                                    problem. Then I called up 121 at 3:43 PM and spoke to Venkat, and he asked me to check with the outlet tomorrow when I asked for
                                    Supervisor, He kept me waiting for 8 minutes and disconnected the call. What am I supposed to do now?
                                    i strongly agree...airtel sucks and the most pathetic service I have ever experienced...the reps in cst service do not know how to speak in english or even in hindi...frst thing that you have to request after getting through to an advisor is that please do not dsconnect the call..
                                    I am a Airtel DTH customer my DTH is not working from 5th July10 for which i made a complaint to Airtel DTH helpline number's but still no engineer has visited at my place. I used to call 3 to 4 times daily till 12th July 10 but now I have lost hope. I have paid for entire yearly package and now i am ruining myself.

Customer care agents turning impatient because they do not understand English, they speak a MTI(Hindi of course) English and onsite technician using profanity when called back that the service was futile because the issue had resumed is completely unacceptable after we spending so much of money on an Entertainment factor and still not able to use it.

                                    I have done 34rs recharge of SMS, then i had called customer service and told them my sms service is not activated. They told me that they have stopped that 34rs scheme and they had converted me to another service where i will be charge 1.20 for 3 minutes but they didnt tell me that even if i call for 1 minute they deduct the same amount 1.20rs PER MINUTE.

                                    I have called to customer service many times to stop this service, but they are not withdrawing this service and i have to pay 1.20rs PER MINUTE instead of 50 paisa, also the customer service numbers are chargable.

                                    Again and again they are telling me to send one message to unsubcribe the service, that message also doesn't work.

                                    They subscribe many services themselves in the account and deduct money like anything again we have to call them to ask for refund.

                                    SUBJECT: Pathetic Customer Service!

                                    Dear Ajay / Whomsoever concerned,

                                    I had a small query on my recharge amount and wished to have it cleared with the Airtel DTH customer service. I was routed to a CSR, a lady whose name I do not recall now. Her communication was so pathetic, that she was unable to even understand my query. Baffled, I asked to be connected to her manager when she hung up on me (I was under the impression that it was not allowed in any decent call center, let alone Airtel's). I am sure you can track this executive (from my Cus. ID / mob no.) and take necessary actions.

                                    I again tried reaching the customer call center to lodge my complaint. This time I ended up talking to three CSRs with one thing in common - baffling communication. The first one was a lady, whose name I again do not recall, second was one Mr. Lal Bahadur Patel, third another gentleman Mr. Dipesh. The transfer to these people happened post my request to be connected to the center manager as I did not wish to waste my time with the "CSRs" with such a wonderful communication ability. I ended up repeatedly getting transferred to different CSRs and never once to the concerned manager. The last CSR Mr. Dipesh put me on hold for more than 10 Minutes post which I had to hang up.

                                    My Queries:

                                    * Do you guys take care of the basic criteria selecting a CSR - Communication Skill?
                                    * Are the managers of a center so difficult to talk to?
                                    * Do the executives have the freedom to perform to their whims and qualms?

                                    FYI this is the case with Airtel Broadband too. In this case, they have still left the wiring all over my place without proper wall clamping. My understanding is that for the DTH and Broadband, Airtel has gone for "franchisees" which do not meet the basic necessity of "understanding" a customer's requirement. Some amateurs would do a better job overall.

                                    My household having four subscriptions to various products of Airtel (2 mobiles, 1 Broadband, 1 DTH) now will be rethinking on other options too (I will wait for a day, then start thinking seriously about the TATAs). This experience have indeed made a huge negative impact on my 7-8 years loyalty to the brand called Airtel.

                                    I took a SIM card during second week of Feb 2011 with all the proofs required. The dealer did not activate my sim even after 20 hours. I called customer care and then they got it activated.

                                    After two weeks I got a call from a Bangalore local number. The guy on the other side sounded uncivilized and rude. He claimed to be from Airtel office and asked me to share my fathers name ad other details. I an my friends often get such calls and I assumed this to be one of such kind or has something to do with identity theft. When I explained my concern, the person in an arrogant low grade done told me that my sim will be blocked. I told him that i will call Airtel customer care, get things confirmed.

                                    I sent an email to airtel [protected]@airtel... id and explained my concern. I got a reply back asking me to share the details which I sent across.

                                    But after a week my outgoing calls are blocked. Since then I have called the customer care some 4 to 5 times and everytime i explained the whole story to the representative and the supervisor. Till now I might have iterated the story some ten times. everytime I got a response that i will get a call within 48 hours but I never received any call.

                                    Now I am fed up and am moving to a different service provider. I am afraid Airtel will not be able to retain its customers with such people in verification department and customer care. This bad experience with Airtel is promting me to join 'Say no to Airtel' campaign.

                                    I bought airtel digital TV two weeks back and after a week there were problems with the transmission.
                                    For just registering a complaint I had to call the bloody "customer service" 10 times.
                                    Even after registering the complaint the service engineers would not turn up and to enquire this I had to call even the Nodal Officer who is just an who does not know anything. he himself could not contact the service engineer.

                                    What pathetic service they have??! Sunil Mittal if you are listening this please close your digital TV division.

                                    In my entire life in India and dealing with various consumer companies, there has not been any company with a worse customer care than Airtel DTH. Infact based on my experience I feel no company is even 10% as bad as Airtel DTH.

                                    CUSTOMER CARE LINES GET CUT ABRUPTLY OR GO BLANK - how the heck are customers supposed to contact the company to sort out service problems. To top it up Airtel DTH has also excelled in recruiting the horrible on field service engineers who show no interest to do their bit to ensure customer satisfaction.

                                    Anyone looking to buy a DTH - pls be aware that in case you buy Airtel DTH, you will never be able to reach their customer care and be prepared to be insulted as a customer - after you call is on hold for 10 minutes it will get cut or go blank - and this is a recurring issue and not one off. There is a strong possibility that you might feel insulted by their service engineers also. As of now I feel I have really wasted Rs 3750 of my hard earned money by subscribing to Airtel's DVR package. The only reason I when for Airtel DTH was that I have been a customer of Airtel fixed line/ broadband for 4 years and found the fixed line/ broadband customer service to be exemplary and probably the best that I have experienced in India. However after buying DTH I feel I have had the worst customer care experience in my life.

                                    Finally, today is day 5 of no signal at my home. Airtel DTH - you have unfairly deprived me and my family of a key source of family entertainment after charging me in advance. Pls keep in mind I would strongly urge anyone I know to avoid an Airtel product henceforth.

                                    Just a superficial line saying you apologize for the inconvenience caused means nothing for a customer who has been denied his right to watch TV with his family at home for 8 full days after paying Airtel in advance. I can understand 2-3 days, but 8 days and still counting, is utterly ridiculous to put it mildly. Its been like an hour spent every day trying to write mails/ contact people ever day for the last seven days, and you add to that the mental hangover feeling that you are left with when treated so poorly by Airtel. What do you mean by you apologize for inconvenience?? Can you explain pls. On top of it every alternate day someone from customer care calls me and wastes my asksingwhat is the problem and whether my connection is working???? On what basis are they asking whether my connection is working? How can it work unless some service engineer comes home and rectifies the defect? And when I communicate this to them they say they will send a person the next day and NO body turns up the next day. And when I call back the same customer care exectutive the next day he does not oick the call and does not respond to messages (the same thing happened with a customer care executive with the number[protected]. If you really mean your 'apology' explain to me clearly why even after 8 days my connection is still not working? Explain to me what action will you take against irresponsible customer care executives like the one with the number[protected], who calls one day and says he will sort out the problem next day and is so arrogant to not respond when the customer calls or messages the next day?? What action will you take against the local service engineer who came to my home on 14th April and said he will get some extra cables the next dayand re-install my dish at a different location to receive signal and just vanished after that and does not respond to customer calls the next day.

                                    I have never seen such a pathetic customer care service in my life. I am not
                                    able to watch any channel since yesterday evening and made nearly 15 calls to
                                    the Airtel Customer care with no use. Whoever attends the calls hold the line
                                    for more than 20 minutes and simply disconnect the call without even informing
                                    the customer.

                                    I hope the new connections are coming to you because of the customer response
                                    and if you are treating your customer like ¿DONKEYS¿ am sure that this is the
                                    end of it. I am not going to suggest AIRTEL to any friends and if possible I
                                    will give the bad customer care response examples.

                                    I am sure that this mail also will not do much sense to my problem.

                                    Suggestion: Please follow some good practices while setting up a Customer Care
                                    Center at least an SLA.
                                    This has reference to my Complaint for my DTH SET Box .ID [protected]

                                    I took new connection last year and the Box was change twice. I contacted your Call Center several times since 4th july and after 14th july my set top box is stop working. I had talked to your executive at your Call centre. Every time either the phone was diconnected by their Side or they are not able to solve the problem

                                    I had talk with one of Your CGM Ms. Ritu Kaul some 20 minitus regarding my problem. She assure me that the problem will solve and once again phone was disconnected by her and she had not forwarded the Complaint. Next day when I contacted again at ur Call center I was confirmed about this by If I am not wrong by Mr. Vivek that the phone was disconnect and complaint was not forwarded by Ritu Kaul. He then forwarded the complaint the my SET Top Box was replaced due to technical problem. Now they require me to Pay Rs.350/- to restart my STB.


                                    This STB is not working since 14.7.2011 and every time it is stopped with the same problem. Then why should we pay everytime for the same.

                                    I had contacted you also several time but everytime u were in Meeting I was told by Mr. Anil the coordinatorsdrop my Number and . Even I contacted at 10 in the morning u r in meeting and when I contacted you in afternoon u r in meeting as if you are more busy than Mr. Bharti Mittal ?

                                    Today morning one Mr. Navin has connected regarding my problem and once again there is no solution of my problem insisting for pay Rs.350/- for STB box. He also said that their might be problem with my TV or with my Electricity line.

                                    Instead of sending this problem to Technical Department they are insisting of Rs.350/- for set top box.

                                    The problem is occuring again and again since the installation of DTH and STB Box was changed and once again the same problem is there in STB Box and now they are saying since gurantee is over I have to pay the amount.

                                    I think Air tel is not ready to solve the problem.

                                    I've trying to call airtell customer care division for last 2 weeks to activate my ISD. All of you must be aware that their customer service calls are chared. My problem never got resolved - whenever I call them they say they have a technical issue and call after 2 hours. days are there when I tried calling them more than 10 times a day and all the times I got the same answer ' technicla problem-call after 2 hours'. I am frustated and totally lost hope about their Customer service. I also advised couple of my friends to quit using airtel. I am getting a new sim card tomorrow. If this is happening again, I am sure people in Mumbai will never use airtel connection again.
                                    i have an airtel mobile no. [protected] and i have buy a new x2-01 nokia set it has schem that 100 mb data but i dont get it and when i complaint agenst it the costemer care center dont atend my call
                                    I called up Airtel DTH customer care this Monday morning 9th April regarding a video problem that we were facing causing the TV programming to freeze every few minutes. I was told that the service engineer will visit our place the same day to fix the same. We received a call from the service engineer who promised to come by 4 pm. However nobody came. I called up the engineer at 6pm and he said he would be at my place within half an hour, that also did not happen.
                                    Next morning 10th April I called up Airtel customer care again and they told me that the complaint has been postponed and will be resolved on Tuesday itself. Again I received a call from service engineer and again he did not show up the whole day.
                                    On Wed 11th Apr I tried my luck with Airtel customer care again and they promised that they would get the issue fixed ASAP. The service engineer again called up and again didn't show up at my place.
                                    On Thu 12th Apr I had given up all hope of getting the problem fixed and was planning to get another DTH connection installed. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call from the engineer who said he would be visiting my place by 11:30 am. As was expected nobody turned up, so at 2 pm I called him up and he told me that he would be coming by in another half an hour. Again that did not happen. I called him up again at 4:00 pm and again was told that he would be coming in another half an hour. Finally the engineer showed up at 5:15 pm. When I asked him why he was so late he didn't care to even respond properly as if I was speaking to a wall. I repeated the question and then he very obligingly and condescendingly said that he will come when he has the time. After investigating the issue he told us that the receiver has to be replaced. When we asked him to tell us the cost and replace the same he told us that he doesn't have the part with him nor does he know the cost of the same and told us he will fix it the next day.
                                    My questions to Airtel DTH are:
                                    a. What kind of pathetic customer service is this?
                                    b. There is no commitment of any sort - no proactive measure to communicate any change of plans by the service engineers etc. We stayed back the whole of yesterday just so that the service engineer doesn't find the house locked when he visits and these people don't even care to call and inform about if and when they would come.
                                    c. Why does Airtel charge for engineer visits for such pathetic service?
                                    My AirTel number is [protected]. Recently, I have top up my number with Rs30 and after sometime Rs10 from my account got deducted. I called Customer Service and was told by one of the poor customer service agent that they have lodged a complaint and soon I’ll be receiving a call from Supervisor. Finally, I received a call and again I have to explain her entire story and as usual she was fake and if you call listen to that call, she promised and assured me that in the next 4 Hours I’ll be receiving the credit. However, after couple of hours I again call Customer Service and I was told that “SIR, YOU WILL BE RECEIVING THAT AMOUNT ON 1ST OF MAY”.... I was surprised, I told that gentlemen that I was promised that the amount will get credit in the next 4 hours.

                                    Anyways, It was my fault that I trust AirTel so I waited till 1st of May which is today and called the Poor Customer Service Company once again to know how much time does it take for them to credited 9 RUPESS... tell u what I was again told that just now we have lodge your complain and again I have to wait for a call from the Supervisor.

                                    I would appreciate if someone from the management could look into this issue and sort it out as soon as possible. I’m gonna wait till tomorrow evening and if I did not received my money, I’m gonna change my network from AirTel to Vodafone.

We have been a long time user of airtelbroadband have been using a 4g wifi plan across all our branches.Problem :-wifi router wasn’t working properly. so we called up the customer care andlodged a complaint. The technicians never turned up instead closed thecomplaints without our notice. We have lodged a complaint since Jan 2015 andtill today airtel is failed to attend to the complaint. When we called up againin the month of April 15 airtel said that complaint has been attended and devicehas been replaced on records which is not done in practical. We have told themto give the time and date when the technician attended the complaint so that wecan check the CCTV camera and visitor pass records which airtel is unable to produce.Today, we sent a router to the service centre for repair at the dealer locatedat Rajajinagar and Mr.Benjamin is charging us Rs.1800/- for repairing the routerwhich was under warranty period.The worst router and worst service of airtel can anyone see in their lives. We are really frustrated and very disappointed from the sevice of airtel. Airteldo not take a feed back once complaint attended by the technicians as they canclose complaints on their own and make money. This is the training given by theairtel to the technical team and customer service team.Poor service and one can see poor work culture, carelessness in their team. Wefeel so helpless that the complaint not been attended since Jan 15 and not ableto find a permanent solution to this problem.Never thought that airtel would come down to such a nasty level.
