I can using Airtel Service. From few days daily i have receive a SMS from IndiaTimes about renewal of Text Based Services & reduces Rs.1 daily from my balance.
Before 3 days, I was called & sms's to airtel custome care for deactivate this service & they told me that this service deactivate into 24 Hrs. but the problem remain same.

My no.[protected] The card registration is failed i will give complaint before 3 days you will not give responce pls give me a responce &whats problem in registration.
I have received a sms from airtel voicesms on[protected] at about 21:57 stating "send 8 voice sms today and definitely win a prize. No lucky draw! To send a VoiceSMS, dial * & friends number (Eg. *9xxxxxxxxx) only at 75p. The sms is self explanatory and it is still in my inbox. As per their sms I did the 8 voice sms at the very same time. Later on I enquired and complaint to airtel and talked to many a people in their customer care but to no avail. After complaining through my mail I have got a small vague reply from airtel that "We wish to inform you that as per your complaint we have checked our record and found we do not have such scheme with Airtel. So we express our infeasibility to provide you prize for the same". If the words of airtel are true! from where I got the sms despite the fact that the airtel is my service provider company. From this forum I would like to ask that the false promotional campaign by the airtel may be stopped and the company be asked to keep their words.

just know i have got a call from your executive rather than executives many times regarding submission of bill.
When i have bought the connection the facilities /plan which was being told to me during purchase of connection. i have not got those facilities so i had planned to disconnect my connection. I had given an application regarding disconnection of my number that month and ask them to adjust by my security money which is being given in my bill but after words i was being told that u have a pending bill .and your executive is threatning me that we will send you a legal notice . is it the way to talk to your customers . Is it a brand builing of your product and how you respond and give services to your customers . i know airtel is a brand but it is like this Iam surprised. I being a professional person working with a good company on Managerial Post . i do make relations with our Clients but... (not to say further)

I am an AIRTEL post paid customer (2 numbers-[protected] & [protected]) for the past 2 years or more. High voice clarity & good GPRS package were the most important factors that attracted me to AIRTEL.
For the past few months I feel that the standard of customer care of your company has degraded like hell. I am going to site the latest example below, which in other words, is the COMPLAINT that I have to put forward.
My present post paid plan is Onam Special 200 plan-KL. As I recently felt that VG 275 plan is more appropriate, I planned to change the first number to it. Accordingly I contacted the customer care on 23 or 24th Aug 08(don’t exactly remember). They asked me to send request by sms, but it was not working at that time. When informed, the customer care personnel assured that she will put forward the request herself from there and I need not do anything and that my plan will be changed to VG 275 from the next bill cycle( 6th Sep) onwards.
So that much is ok. But after a few days just to make things sure, I called the customer care again. (I think it was on 2nd Sep). It made me embarrassed that they had no idea about this thing, no records were there, no request was sent for plan change! Anyway they apologized and said that this time they will make everything clear and request will be sent from there. Don’t knowing what is happening in AIRTEL, I agreed optimistically.
Finally, I positively contacted the customer care person today, ie., 7th Sep, (ref no.[protected], the person’s name, Karuvarakkal Rasna) to ensure the bill plan change has taken place. To my frustration, she was completely unaware of such things! No request had been sent so far, no effort was done to change the plan, and absolutely nothing was known about my previous communications and talks!! Just like replying to a new request, she told that she will try to correct it from the next bill plan! History repeats itself..! What is the sureity? How can I believe anybody from my experience at AIRTEL?
So tell me, where is the fault? Is it at the customer care persons or in AIRTEL company? Does it mean that AIRTEL pays no value or attention to its customers or their requests or opinions? Is it due to your hardheadedness that you are the No. one Service provider in India? If then please understand that this is not going to last long in this way..
What should I do now? How will I get my plan converted from this billing cycle onwards? Where should I complain? Truly speaking, I am trying to change to IDEA or BSNL now, This being a last trial….

If you have GPRS+WAP service enabled on you cell phone this (DWN_PRM) shows under SMS others either because
- You dowloaded ring tone, wallpaper or java games through WAP service from your mobile
- Or you are bitten by the bug which is going on with Airtel customers. Airtel is charging several customers without using the service (I'm also one of them).
I have been struggling to get this fixed for more than a month. Customer service is pathetic and never ready to listen. Corporate contacts are useless as well with no response to email or phone calls.
I had the same issue 1yr back and after working with thier GPRS technical person came to know that download (WAP) service was outsourced and it was getting screwed up from thier end and then the charges were deducted.
Please post a comment if you get this sorted out... I'm planning to blog about this issue with proof and emails sent to them soon to get this issue more visibility since they are not ready to help fix this or even achnowledge the issue.

To whom so it may concern,I am Airtel Post-paid customer.My number is [protected], from past 3-4 months i am being charged for GPRS usage for which i have complaint earlier.
I am charged rentel of 399 per month for the same...even though i never used it.I am fed up with the customer care & want to disable my number because i am getting charged each month for the GPRS even i am not using it(i got the feedback from customer care that it is disabled but still i am getting charged for the same each month)for which i requested in last month.
The response i got was to pay all the charges due, the they will go about disconnecting the service.
