Dear Sir,

This is regarding Faulty Digital DVR provided by Airtel. I have purchase Airtel DVR on[protected] since than the DVR is giving horrible time to me

Complaint List is endless:

1. It remains hang most of the time.
2. Response time from Remote Command is over 5 Seconds.
3. Suddenly screen goes blank.
4.Can not record and says "Sorry you can not record this channel"
5. Between time of watching Subscribed Channel say's "You are not subscribed o this channel"
6. Takes over 3 Minutes to boot up.
7. Channel information not available on many channel shows after switching off and on.

Since I have purchased DVR I have registered 20 complaints and every time we try to register complaint Customer Care the Executive act like that we are STUPID and doest not even know about anything and even say we could not get your problem and this time your problem shall be solved once for all. Technician have no idea of problem and says DVR to replace.

This DVR of Pace is having hardware and software issues and you wont believe on me that it had been replaced twice in last 4 months but my problem is still the same. Is there anybody in Airtel who is listening to me. Please help ???????????????????.

    Place : Kalamassery, Ernakulam District, Kerala State.

    Airtel Digital TV is not working for more than 10 days. After consulting with dealer we have registered a complaint on 21.08.2011 with Airtel as complaint no. 11142556. After 2 days one service engineer came and he says the dish to be relocate and cost of migration is Rs. 200. But he couldn’t resolve the problem till now. The attitude of Airtel dealers / customer care is very harsh and they are not bothered to look into the issue. We are now in so much trouble that the TV is not working for more than 10 days now and we do not have any other option. On 27.08.2011 we have registered another complaint 11355399. Please look into this. Awaiting for a positive response. Many Thanks in advance.

      I am facing some strange problem from Airtel Chennai, We cannot dial ISD to Austrian ( like Scheibbs city, code 7482) cities they(Airtel Account. Manager) are telling Austrian cities codes are not available in Airtel Chennai Landline Exchange system. Since my Company Head office is there. It’s useless to Using Airtel Landlines....
      and they have useless customer care. If you are sending any complaints. They will call you after 3 days and will ask what is the problem. It you are explain again they will sent. Will bet back to you before 72 hrs. It’ll go like endless service..... I fed-up with Airtel Service

        Hello,

        My airtel no is [protected]. I have been using the service for more than 8 years now and had opted for the DND facility two years back. Even then, i was getting a lot of messages from TA/TM services, which for the time being i managed to sort out after numerous approaches to the customer service. Off late, I started getting spam messages from various vendors registed under way2sms.com. Instead of complaining to airtel customer services, i tried contacting the vendor and requested to remove my no. This met success with atleast 10 of them. But, there is a sticky one who sends message every day at 5.00 am informing that i had won a BMW car and lottery of 5,00,0000 GBP. I cannot send messages to this no nor call. But it shows this number +91 [protected] and an email id of [protected]@london.com. This has become a real burden during the early hours of the morning. Kindly look in to it and take action against these vendors.

        Airtel — Spam messages are received after registering for DND

        Hi,
        I have registered for Do Not Disturb service. Lately I have been receiving spam messages from Hypercity, TVC, hair, DrBhatras,bop etc.and many many more Please deactivate all the services ASAP.
        I do not see the purpose of DND if i still get such spam SMSs.

        Hi, I dont know what you mean by 'non-contactable' i get lot of calls from airtel informing of the new offerings and services !! Or you mean to say that i was 'not-reachable' ? Sorry, I dont recollect having received any messages in this regard. You can still contact me over the no mentioned above, also let me know what kind of information you require before you contact me so that i can be ready with it.

          i am using airtel since 2006. I put out my sim card on 21 may 2011. On 6 aug 2011 i put my sim card in my cell it was not showing tower. I contacted c s , they told me that my no is deleted. I purchased this sim card @ cost of 2000 Rs in 2006 , i last to last yr recharged it for validity increase which was till july 2014. Now i want my no back with all same facilities any how . I want my no at any cost.

            Dear Sir,

            This is with reference to my prepaid connection [protected] having sim number[protected] H1. I had purchased this card from Archies Gallery,N.A.C Market,Sector-2,Rourkela-769008.I dully completed all the required details and documents required by the Airtel. I had purchased this last week of July 2011.It got activated on the same day.Then after 10 days i got the message that my number got deactivated due to non submission of required documents.Again i went to the same shop and submitted the documents,then also after two days i didnt get my number activated.So,i went directly to Airtel Office,Udit nagar,Rourkela,Orissa to submit my documents.After submitting the documents to them my number got activated and next day i got the message that my documents got received in the office.After that i used for two weeks i.e till the last week of August 2011.Then again now i got the message that my "Sim Registration is Failed".Since then i am not able to use my sim.
            I dont know what is the reason for this message i tried to ask customer care and Airtel office people but they didnt reply me properly and they are saying that they dont know reason and i cant get the same number back.My number is having a balance of more than Rs.350.I want to know the reason why it is happened to my number i need a justice for this.I have suffered so much due to this in the mean period time.
            Sir,you try to solve this problem as soon as possible to my number .

              Hi,
              I had applied for airtel broadband connection on July 16th ( CEF No. TBLR 261660). After taking the money airtel representative assured me that he would provide me broadband within next 7 working days. After 7 days passed and there was no response from him, I tried calling him up more than 50 times. He wouldn't pick up the call. On contacting airtel customer care, they told me that my money has been sent for refund and I would get the check within 3 weeks. But even after more than a onth there has been no reply from them. And everytime I try calling them up, they redirect to call some division and I am told the refund status is pending with some division. They don't even bother to give a deadline. Please look into this.

              I too applied for a broadband connection on Aug 06-2011. My application number is TBLR124402. I placed 6 complaints but no use. The airtel representative was Anil Kumar ([protected]). When ever i try to call him his mobile is switched off. He has taken 1500 from me as advance

                I have a postpaid connection of Air-tel Delhi Circle [protected] in name of Mr. Anil Mittal address A- 229A, Shastri Nagar- 110052.

                My number is permanently deactivated without any prior information verbal or written. As per DOT mandate a number should be kept suspended for 90 days before permanent disconnection and subscriber should be informed about disconnection in written. However, my number is deactivated in 30 days i.e. my number was suspended in month of July, 2011 and got deactivated permanently in the month of August, 2011.

                I want my number back with a written explanation of reason of disconnection along with a copy of regulation/ directive of TRAI or DOT according to which you have deactivated my number.

                Just for your information i have worked with a leading telecom company as a nodal agent and I am aware about the rules and regulations that a Service Provider needs to follow.

                I am ready to pay the outstanding only and want compensation for the inconvenience caused to me due to permanent disconnection of this number.

                  I write this letter to file a complaint against AIRTEL broadband.It's been 51 days since I have requested them to shift my broadband connection from my previous address to the present new address. I have been always pacified by them with false hopes and promises. I have stayed without services which I must rightly had as a customer. My first request to them regarding shifting was on 6th July,11 and for the same i was provided the request no. 446321 . Then again my last request was made on 2822846. Between this I have taken whole lot of pain by taking incessant follow ups. As I am a designer by profession, I have also suffered monetary loss by losing few of my online customers as I was unable to respond to them properly with no internet connection in my house. This has been a tormenting 51 days for me because despite of all my efforts and requests made to them they have shown no true response. In short I want to say they do not service on par with there commitments and moreover take pleasure in torturing there customers.

                  Airtel bangalore service is pathetic, they promise false dates, and dont deliver, only interested in minting money and not interested in customers at all..
                  Same case with me . Request no - 2226424 raised on 12/08/2011 . Till now shifting has not been done . Previously these people gave good service but now they are worst than BSNL .

                    I'm being using the Airtel connection for past 6 -8 months, a week back i faced a Error code 2 problem.

                    Unaware of the problem called up the customer care, despite multiple calls and complaints the issue still remains open.

                    The height was today when despite a 3:30pm schedule visit to rectify, the engineer just did not call or make the visit and the complain is still open at 11:30 in the night while i write the complain.

                    I also want to mention about a cell phone number that is circulated along with the complaint message sent on mobile - The number is [protected] and is always switched off 24x7.

                      Respected Sir,
                      I am an Airtel customer ( Mob No. [protected]) since Octobeer26, 2009.

                      I was a satisfied customer till now. But today I realized that your company is irresponsible and had made me fool and did not care for customer’s problem. They first admitted their mistake about ‘My Airtel My Offer’ scheme and now refused about such any offer.

                      Before get Recharged every time, I had check “My Airtel My Offer” by dialing *121*11#. And my Mobile’s screen showed same message every time that:- “Talktime Offer!! Recharge kijiye Rs 30 se aur paiye Rs 33 ka talktime, Rs 24 turant or Rs 9 ka talktime 48 ghante mein”

                      I recharged my mobile 5 Times on August 03,2011 between 2pm to 8pm with amount of Rs30 each. Before every recharge I had check “My Airtel My Offer” by dialing *121*11#. And my Mobile’s screen showed same message every time that:-
                      “Talktime Offer!! Recharge kijiye Rs 30 se aur paiye Rs 33 ka talktime, Rs 24 turant or Rs 9 ka talktime 48 ghante mein”

                      And when I get my mobile recharged,everytime I get messages like this:- “RECHARGE SUCCESSFUL on[protected] at 02:54PM.Talktime Rs 24.00.MRP Rs 30.00.TransID[protected].”

                      Thus in 5 recharges of MRP 30 each (30 x 5=150), I get talk time of Rs 24 in each recharge and Total Rs120 (24 x 5=120). According to offer, Talktime of Rs 45 (Rs 9 x 5) should be given to me in next 48 hours. I waited for Talktime till August 10,2011 and no benefit were given to me and later I talked to Customer care and they assured me to solve my problem.


                      For not solving problem, on August 12,2011 at about 9 pm I talk to Customer care again and registered my complaint again. They assured me to solve my problem till August 16,2011 and informed me by message at 9:35 pm as:- “Thank you for contacting Airtel. Your request reference number is CBNRA[protected]. Simplify Life! Just Dial *121# to get instant account information.”

                      On August 14,2011 at 12:30pm I received a call from Customer care (Mobile No. [protected]). They admitted the mistake . The officer told me that my problem has been solved and according to offer for you, Rs.45 will be refunded in your account within 48 Hours. And also informed me by message at 12:32 pm “Your Service Request No. CBNRA[protected]has Been Resolved .We Tried Contacting you and were Not Able To Contact You. For assistance call 121”

                      And also informed me by another message at[protected] at12:40 pm “Thank you for contacting Airtel. Your request reference number is CBNRA[protected]. Simplify Life! Just Dial *121# to get instant account information.”

                      I waited to get refund till August 17,2011 and about at 6 pm I talk to Customer care again. I again requested them to Refund my Balance and they again registered my complaint again. They assured me to solve my problem and informed me by another message at[protected] at 6:08 pm “Thank you for contacting Airtel. Your request reference number is CBNRA[protected]. Simplify Life! Just Dial *121# to get instant account information.”

                      And today, i.e. on August 27,2011 at about 6:45pm and 7:05 pm I talked twice (to enquire my all above requests) to Customer care again. I asked them about ‘my previous complaints of Refund my Balance’ and they both told me:- your complaint has been closed. They also told that there was not such Offer for you so you did not get it.

                      When I asked the officers why my mobile was showing such offer everytime by dialing *121*11# then officers replied that they did not know about that offer and can not check previous offer.

                      When I requested them that you could confirm from the officer who had talked me before and also from the officer that called me (from Mb No. [protected]) on[protected] at 12:30pm. Then they replied strictly said to me, “That offer was not for you and you will not get any benefit now.” I also requested them to hear pre-recorded call that is recorded during the conversation with Customer care but they refused to do it. And they disconnected call.

                      Can company tell me what was MY AIRTEL MY OFFER on[protected] for my mobile No. [protected].

                      Is your company not responsible for misbehavior?
                      Now I am helpless!
                      What should I do now?
                      Should I contact to TRAI to solve my problem?

                      Airtel — non-refundable balance

                      i have been charged 20 rs from last month
                      and that i time , i had launched a complaint against it
                      but the costumer just say that your complaint is forwarded and
                      say that it will not get renewed again and this time i have been charged

                        my number is [protected] and my wife is using this connection...and for the last 4 days she is getting a call from an airtel number [protected] and nobody talks when connected and its also not getting connected when we call back....we have also received 2 sms from this number as "i like you"...we are worried if someone is following us or something....request airtel to check on this number....and his activities....he also sent an sms saying his name is RAVI....also advise if i should complain with police....hoping some help from airtel....Kiran and Mrs Kiran

                        kindly do not allow promotional calls & sms on [protected].also not priscribed krezy joks but still getting it at a cost dedused from account without my consent.

                        Airtel Mobile — Receiving Disturbing SMS

                        I am receiving daily SMS for last 6 months from number 58888.
                        Everytime they send SMS by changing names of females asking to start chatting/ dating.
                        I dont want to receive such rubbish SMS. I had raised issue by informing to Airtel, but they seem to be not in a position to control such things. Can someone help in stopping such things.
                        You complain to your local police station with the evidence of those messages & call details of that number. They'll track the address of that number & catch that rascal. Complaining at the earliest is best. You don't call back to that number any more.

                          My name is Hinaben and i m using airtel sim card, previously when i recharge by 100 rs. i was getting 85 rupees as talk time and 15 rs. was deducted as service fee. Now when an agent where i get recharge my card he informed me that if i recharge by 40 rs. i will get full talk time of 40 rs. so once i recharged my card by 40 rs. but letter i came to knew that in 40 rs. recharge airtel charging 70 paisa per call, so once i used my all 40 rs. i recharged my card by 100 rs. and i got 85 rs. talk time, but still airtel is charging 70 paisa per call, and when i call airtel customer care they told me that when i recharge by 40 rs. it has 1 month validity so i have to pay that rate 70 paisa per call upto one month evem of o recharge by 100 rs. and paying 15 rs. as service fee THIS IS REALLY BULLSHEET..........and they cant do anything........this is clearly cheating with millions of customer.

                            Today Airtel dth technician came and told me that dish needs to be re aligned as satellite is getting changed. He did some alignment and went, after that i started facing issues with cable reception. After every 2-3 mins signal level goes down and i get error code B001. When i called Airtel DTH customer care thay are asking me to pay services charges if i want technician to come to my place.

                            Why i need to pay when airtel dont have qualified technicians. They are not doing their job properly and for that consumer needs to suffer.

                              Hi, this is Mr. Vijay Pant from Ghaziabad having airtel prepaid connection no. 0091-[protected]. I lost my mobile today, hence, I want to request the Airtel team to please BLOCK this Sim card ASAP.

                              Please guide me through the process of issuing a duplicate prepaid SIM card (if possible, with the balance amount from my previous SIM). I expect a quick solution to my problem with further knowledge of the procedure.

                              This number is blocked on 1st february. Now no airtel outlet is agree to reinstall this number. All the representatives are giving false reason..

                                My airtel number is not working. I cannot check my balance, call customer care or complain center. It shows "Error in connection". Please help.
                                Airtel - prepaid address verification issue/ poor customer care.

                                my mobile number is [protected]. airtel num. im using this number for past more than 4yrs. i converted this from post paid to prepaid service on september 3rd 2011. after producing relevant documents at airtel show room in faridabad.
                                since then i' facing lots of issues.

                                - after few days i.e on 20/09/11 my out going and incoming was barred. i called the customer care from other number to know that, the documents i submitted did not reach d head office.
                                i contacted the airtel show room, a fellow thr called up the head office n later told me the it will be rectified.[protected]

                                it was rectified on 72hours.

                                - but again on 28th September, i contacted the customer care, they turned up with the same reply, that they didn't receive the address proof. its very annoying . again i went
                                to the airtel show room wr i submitted the documents, they said it will be rectified .

                                it was rectified on 72hours.

                                but still my number is blocked

                                But now airtel cant offer even a helpline number for me.

                                most irrresponsible network..

                                Am frustrated wit airtel.

                                If this persists i vl change to some other network..

                                  Recently I switched to airtel number ([protected]). I had given all the documents at the time of activation of sim. But now my outgoing calls has been stopped. When I talked to customer care he said after submitting your documents it will resume in 4 hrs. Now it has been 7 days when I submit the documents to chandracharya chowk airtel office in Haridwar. but outgoing calls are still not working. I complained about it to [protected]@in.airtel.com customer care and nodal office uttarakhand as well through email but I did not get any response from customer care. I hope this mail will help me to resolve such problem. I am not getting any kind of support from customer care.

                                    I have bought a airtel friends sim to call to one of airtel friends no, to which it was always charged with 10 paisa/min.

                                    But now from last one week, i am charged with some what like variable call rate. Always charge differently. I have talked to customer care about the matter, then told me that the company has changed the friends plan without noticing the concerned customer. They said your first call charge you 1.50 Rs/min then 10paisa/min. I request you to provide the plan specifications details if any one of you have and also the Airtel customer care also.

                                      Hi,
                                      I didthe biggest mistake of my life just 3 weeks ago. tHe mistake was i bought an airtel 3G net setter and dongle sim. MY sim mobile number is [protected].To start with It was supposed to get activated within 24-48 hours. Bugt after having spent so much and so much fight i got it activatedafter 5 days. i was alerady fed up with the customer care service of AIrtel who doesnt even know how to behave to the customer orhow to support their product. In the 3G console which you get in laptop the helpline number given is[protected] But if you call that number they wont support any issue with the 3g service. THEy will just provide you some invalid numbers to call. to add on to the problems it stopped working 3 days back it started saying "it cannot connect to the remote computer hence ports are closed". I called up customer care to understand what the problem was but again no use. the i assumed that it could be because it went out of balance. Then aftergetting advice from the airtel offic ein my employer campus i recharged for 675 and still the problem remained the same. i called up customer care but they said the data has not been added to the account with respect to the amount paid. INfact there was .01 MB data which was left before recharge. I called up CUSTOMER CARE([protected]) 4 tIMES YESTERDAY. tHEY WERE NOT ABLE TO SOLVE THE ISSUE AND NOT ONLY ThAT THRICE THEY ABRUPTLY DISCONNECTED THE CALL AND ONCE THE EXECUTIVE SAID HE IS TRANSFFERING TO THE SENIOR EXECUITVE BUT IT RANG FOR AROUND 10-15 MINUITES BUT NO ONE TO PICKUP AND I DICONNECTED THE CALL SINCE I HAVE BEEN CALLING FROM MY VODAFONE NUMBER AND LOSING MONEY EVERYTIME I CALLED. I EVEN SAID ONE OF THE EXECUTIVE THAT CALS ARE GETTING DISCONNECTED ABRUPTLY(EVENTHOUGH I CALLED FROM AN AREA WHERE I HAD FULL SIGNAL)SO TAKE CARE OF IT.I ASKED HIS EMPLOYEE NMBER BEFORE STARTING THE CONVERSATION BUT HE REFUSED TO GIVE INSTEAD HE SAID HIS NAME WAS HARIPRASAD. AFter having spent so much money my issue is unresolved. i Want my money back as well as i want them to take back their device and give back my money. since the consumer laws in india arenot so strong as in some other countries where i have worked before things like this heppen daily. ateleast i found this forum here andI BELIEVE THIS POST CAN HELP ME GET OUT OF MY ISSUE AND HELP MANY OTHRS WHO PALN TO CHOOSE AIRTEL. i hope i get a reply.

                                      Thanks for looking into it. Do you have any SLA? when will this be resolved it has been more than a week since i have been facing this issue and is impacting my work. If you can't resolve it asap lease have facility to take your device back and return me the money(TIme of course you can't return). i will look for some other provider. i am really disappointed and frustrated with the support. Also what is the ticket number and to which number should i call to follow up. HOpe i get a reply asap.
                                      I hope it wont take ages to resolve this issue. i need some compensation in terms of the data usage since this is going on and on.

                                      what the hell is resolved? Nothing is resolved. Issue still remains. DO YOU HAVE ANY VALUE FOR THE MONEY SPENT BY THE CUSTOMER? DO YOU HAVE ANY COURTESY TOWARDS THE CUSTOMER TO CALL UP AND CHECK WHETHER IT HAS BEEN RESOLVED OR NOT? It still gives the error mesage "The connection was terminated by the remote computer". Nether i do see the balance of 1.25 GB in my account which should have got added after my recharge. Instead even the 123*11# says invalid account. WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS MEAN? THERE IS NO WONDER WHY THE MAXIMUM NO OF COMPLAINTS IN THIS FORUM IS AGAINST AIRTEL. If you do not know how to support a product, do not sell it. Take back the your device and give my money back. I dont want to call up 121 and spend my money uselessly after havong spent so much money calling up the customer service.

                                      I HOPE SOME BODY RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS FORUM IS SEEING THIS AND TAKING NECESSARY ACTION AGAINST AIRTEL.

                                      Mr RAkesh Ranga. I am going to try to sue you for giving false information and AIrtel for taking my money and not giving the service by filing a case in the consumer court. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

                                        I purchaged a Airtel DTH DVR in Jan 2011, for Rs. 5000. My customer ID # [protected] & Mobile # [protected]. I paid for HD box, but it is standered one. this box is faulty also hangs, after every 20 mins. Airtel refused me to change the box for HD. Airtel is asking me again to pay Rs.5000 for HD . now i want 2 give it to back, i m fedup with this box. Ilogeded a same comlaint before few days but they didnot care.

MY customer ID - [protected], Mobile # [protected], I paid for the HD box but thay give me the standerd one. Now Airtel neither replacing it for HD, what thay promised me before & nor taking it back. thay are asking me to pay Rs. 5000 again for new box. thay are charging me more of my packege & providing half of channels. what legal actoin can be taken against the Airtel.
