I have purchased Airtel Digital TV on 28th of August 2011 and my customer id is [protected] .
But i realized the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider.
I have following concerns:
1. Some time some channels shows the Connection lost screen (Error Code B0001).
2. In rain as well in drizzling it does not respond and hangs.
3. Whenever I called customer care they give me same stupid solutions :

* Restart your set top box.
* Unplug your cable and reconnect.
* Remove any obstacle in front of Dish.


Really a very bad DTH service provider.I suggest never buy Airtel Digital TV.

Airtel — unable to get through their c.service no.

I applied for thier internet sevices on my mobile no.[protected]. on 22-10-07 for a monthly rental of 399.I got an sms confirming that the service has been started on same day and i need to get settings done on my phone to use the service.
Since then i am unable to get through ur customer service no.Ive tried several times but every time the automated system says that a representative will attend you,it gets disconnected.
I am so irritated by this whole situation that i ve decided that i dont want to take your internet services and even considering cancelling your no.
pl get back to me asap as my next step will be complaining to the consumer forum.

AirTel — Airtel customer care - the hell!

i got a new airtel connection recently in noida....the next day i tried calling the customer care no....the guy who received the call was not at all courteous........he was very rude and he din't even know to speak english...he stared speaking in hindi...when i asked him a simple question about my plan.....he bluntly disconnected the call..I am also having a vodafone connection with me from past 3 years....I've never faced a problem with regards to the service they provide.This was rediculious..

I am one of your customer whom u ur company and customer care treated with full techniques of de grading mentally harassing wasting time and telling the customer once u paid for services airtel is king and customer is nothing more than helpless person on earth

Qualities o[censored]r customer care executives
1. No etiquettes:- customer care executive talk like they owns airtel bharati. They don’t know how to talk to customer
2. Professional liers :- everytime customer care executive provide wrong information and feel sorry for mistake of colleague
3. Experienced in harassing customer so he never call back to them
4. Law & Rule makers : every executive will tell u his own rules and regulations
5. Specially trained for harassing pre paid customer
6. Lack of knowledge about schemes and are last to check them on system
7. Seniors are trained to defend juniors executives instead of solving problem of customer
8. Specialisation in saying sorry : every executive specialized in doing mistakes and than saying sorry instead of solving problems

I am writing u this letter after trying by best with ur customer care executives and loosing my whole trust in ur customer care services and executives. I don’t have trust in u that u will help me out but I have no way out except of writtning this letter. Hope this letter go in hands of some senior of company who is sincere toward this company and his soul. These are my two complaints as follows :

Complaint 1
I had activated a scheme on my no on 14 or 15 june 2007 for rs 500 to 550 I don’t remember exact figure in this schme I got 15000 local sms free for one year and my call rates reduced to airtel to airtel .30p other mobile .49p and landline re1 for 1 year

In end of august 2007 I noticed im being charged .49p airtel to airtel instead of .30p. I call ur customer care they told be its technical fault and will be restore in 4 days and they refunded money which was charged excess

But in month of febraury2008 I again noticed im again charged .49 p instead of .30p and I don’t know from how long I being charged .49p. so I called ur customer care ur executive told me ur lying ur never being charged .30p always charged .49p for A2A from day one I talk to many customer care and they didn’t solve my problem

Complaint 2
I have subscribed yahoo zone in month of January and I unsubscribed in feburary and it shows me on my mobile that it is unsubscribed.
But I was surpriced whenon 02.03.2008 Rs30 deducted from my account and i got message for subscribing yahoo zone which I didn’t .
I call customer care of prepaid there executives talk rubbish .
Than I called gprs customer care on 4.3.2008 talked to Parminder she told me its charged by mistake as it is not unsubscribed due to technical fault it will be refunded and she said im unsubscrbing from my end
but suddenly she said she cant refund the money I ask her either provide me service or refund me money she said both r not possibles
Now thigs is I have paid for march month and I even cant use servise for month due to fault o[censored]r executive
Than I ask her to make me talk to her senior
And that senior comes like her lawyer guardian defending her mistake instead of helping me named as Renu. She said its my mistake not her executive mistake sorry I cant do anything. I was surpricedddd




These 2 incidence shaked my trust in airtel and ur servicesss . what happen don’t matters to me now as it already burned my blood energy ,time and money I m just writing to make this incidence to come in eyes of top officials this kind of behaviour with customer will effect reputation of company in long termmmm

Airtel — Horriable Customer Care Service and Customer Care people too

I requested for a broadband connection 7 days ago and till now have not received any call or executive at my place, though AIRTEL says maximum service time is 48 hours.
Calling on daily basis and getting reference numbers again & again. I called 5 minutes back again and had a talk with Amit. He didn't able to resolve my issue as don't know anything about Airtel Services and what to do (Such a pathetic way of talking and NO knowledge).
To have a Airtel BroadBand Connection, he was asking me Airtel landline number (which i don't have) and said "WITHOUT TELLING ME YOUR AIRTEL LANDLINE NUMBER I CAN'T HELP YOU (Knowing that i don't have Airtel landline connection)" although, itold him my Prepaid Airtel Number and 4 Reference numbers. Finally he disconnected my call.

I am wondering... what to do next.

Airtel — ADD ON error:No Response from customer care

I, my dad and mom have subscribed for ADD ON services 18 July 2008...Last week they were telling our subscription had expired and we cannot redo it, as we have delayed in complaining...What on earth man ...how can we complain in time with their poor customer care services...only after a continuous trial of vain... we have contacted the airtel dealer inperson...& now we are helpless

Digital Eye Services. — VODA FONE CHEATED BY CHANGING THE PACKAGE

Dear Sir / Madam,

My name is R.V.Swamy, Iam running a LG electronics service center in VisakhaPatnam. I Have taken 17 connections from VODAFONE in Rs.199/- LG TALK, They have activated the all connections in the same package only, But suddenly they have sent me a SMS saying that, PAckage has been changed from 199/- to 249/-. I did not requested them to replace the package.

I Have sent 3 mails also to customer care, every time only auto generated message will come but, nobody responding to my complaint from past 15 days.

Now they have bill also in 249/- package. Call center people telling they can not do any thing, Customer has to contact mail only, But no reply through mail.

PLs look in to this matter & Pls help me.

I am the first customer of Airtel Digital TV in my locality, was proud to here that indeed.
But i realised the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider. The installation was left midway by the service engineers, you dont get connected to the call centre nums unless u have n airtel phone(which was not told while taking the connection), even if you call the Pune call centre hold on the line for min 15 mins slapping your phone bills & the worst the executive will disconnect your call if he/she does not has the efficiency to solve your problem.
The interactive service don't get downloaded properly, & if it does your complete system gets hanged up all of a sudden forcing you to restart the same.
I had taken the connection on 15/OCT/2008, the a/c information is still not updated till date on my TV. God knows what happened to the amount of Rs 3, 500/- i paid & how long would airtel provide the service.
I tried mailing the customer care dept -- [protected]@airtel.in, giving them reminders every second day, but in vein i get only a auto-generated- response, whcih means Airtel is very well in reciept of all the mails, i am still waiting for the reply.
I am also having a Tata Sky connection since a long time, but have not faced any such issues with them, atleast they are eager to hear what their customer has to say.

My strong advice is NEVER GO IN FOR AIRTEL DIGITAL TV, UNLESS U HAVE THE ELIGIBILITY TO BRIBE A HIGH GRADE OFFICER, WHO CAN HELP U SORT OUT THE WORST WELCOME TROUBLES U WILL FACE AS A CUSTOMER.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Money credited to wrong Customer ID

I am a user of Airtel Digital TV.

My Customer ID- [protected].( Details of id Customer name - Piyush Kumar Agarwal. Contact no-[protected].,[protected]. date of birth[protected]

I had recharged my account with 2000 and 300 rupees on[protected] but today i came to know that the money has not been credited to my above mentioned id . it has been credited to my other id that is not activated that id has contact no [protected].

How can you credited my money to other account and because of this, you had stopped the services of the id-[protected].

Please resole this issue at the earliest possible and resume the services immediately.

I am planning to take one more connection on my name but if you are creating problem than i will have to think twice.

I sold life time package of dishtv but before a week i got a problem while on the tv display of the tv screen will be " please call the customer care " . I called customer care they tell that you want to renewal the package but my package their is no renewal product date in the only aristek is their. My vcc number is[protected]

Dish TV — The Worst Customer Care Service I have Ever Seen of DISH TV and his Technicians.

I purchased DISH TV in June, 08. From Sep, 08 my DISH TV stopped receiving channels. On making complaint, the technicians said that it needs re-allignment and demanded Rs.600/-(out of the way). When I wrote to the customer care service they said thata your product is in gaurntee period hence no payment is required. After making so many complaints to the customer care service on e-mail, the techs. re-installed antenna and charged rs 300/ from me but still there was no receiption of channels. Then after paying rs. 325+25 through ITZ Card we were able to see some channels. When i made complaint again that i am not receiving Star Plus, Star One etc. once again iall the channels were stopped. I have never seen such a worst customer care service. Now Dish Antenna and Set Top Box are lying as SHOW PIECES IN MY HOUSE

The outgoing and incoming calls were barred for number. I paid my bill on staurday and was promised that the services will revert in next 4 hours and THEY WERE NOT.
Next day was a sunday and it was OFF. Monday I called up customer care and SMITA assured me for services in next 4 hours.
Tuesday was again holiday...Wednesday I called up in morning and was asked to wait for 1 hour by AMIT, result was same and I had to call again and was then promised by NILESH that within 2 hours all my services will be reverted.
I had to call again after that time period, this time it was NILESH again and asks fo two hours.

Until now, I have been quite and polite enough with AIRTEL and I cannot do anything more than just pleading the customer care executives.

Airtel — False Statement by Customer Care Executive

In order to deactivate a package that gives cricket scores on my mobile, I contacted the customer care. I was informed that the package would be deactivated on 12th December 2008 at 17:00 hrs. It is 16th December today and I am registering this complaint at 19:00 hrs. That package has cost me Rs.15 since then.

I work in a company called Vodafone and do understand matters send through this media works really well and hence I am writing to you. Hope someone will read the mail and take some action.

I went to this Store in Patna (Aditya Vision) to buy a Airtel Digital TV on 24th October with my family on eve of Dhantaras. The Airtel representative explained me about the available subscription packages and I choosed one he explained to me Economy = Value + 35 channels. As per him the annual charge for the same subscription was Rs. 2000/- and I would have to pay for anything extra that I want. But little did I know I am committing a crime that I will have to pay my peace with. Thereafter started my wooes and ironies with Airtel.

I was asked to call a tollfree number to get the set installed. Same night I called up the tollfree number and they told me that they will send someone to install the set. Next day two persons from Airtel visited my home and installed the set. But due to some problem they couldn't install it properly and went back promising to visit next day again. Before leaving they gave me the shock of my life. They told me that the 2000/- that I have paid is only for the default 65 channels which didn't include my favorite channels Zee, Star Plus, Sahara One, Imagine, Aaj Tak, Zee News, O TV, ETV Oriya, Movie Channels & iNet. When I told them that I was told by the distributor that I will be getting these facilities, they told me that the same distributor has sold several sets promising false commitments to Customers. I got in touch with Airtel peoples and explained how I was cheated and requested them either to take back the handset or compensate me by giving the channels I was promised to. Local airtel officials promised me that they will look into the matter. Though more than 80 days has passed since then nothing has been done till now.

Infact, I am getting a no signal message which has been taken by deaf ears by local airtel peoples.

On 25th when the Airtel staffs left my home after installing my set, asked me to call tollfree number to recharge the voucher as the system was not working in my set top box. I called up Tollfree and recharged my account as per the instruction i received from them. But local Airtel people are saying that my account has not been recharged. Now I have simply a set top box which is simply consuming space in my home without serving any purpose thereof.

I had a lot of faith on Airtel Digital TV seeing all those ads and also after using the Airtel Connection I have been using from Airtel since last two years. Infact, even after starting of Vodafone Service in Bihar, I haven't disconnected the Corporate Connection of Airtel. Hope someone will read this mail and try atleast to resolve my wooes.

Also if someone is listening, would like to understand the escalation matrix for logging a call for any issues.

Airtel Digital TV — Digital TV Installation

Samsung, India was running a promotional offer. Anyone that buys a samsung LCD or Plasma TV was eligible for a 5 Month Free AIRTEL DIGITAL TV. I had to wait for atleast 3 weeks before the retailer gave me a coupon code. I have been calling AIRTEL on a toll free number to book an appointment for them to come install the Digital TV.

I had called them atleast 4 times and they ask me to call them back after an Hour, since their IVR syatem ( Guess this is their system to generate a work order) is not working. I managed to speak to their manager once and they took my PIN # on the coupon and said they will feed it when the system becomes available and SMS me the details on my mobile phone. That has not happened even after 4-5 calls.

I wonder how irresponsible they could be and have a customer call them everyday to hear the same thing. Talk about customer service huh!! Their tag line .."Come home to the Magic"..means, you can buy our services, but we don't install the service.

I have seen myself how a big brand like Airtel has pathetic customer response when they call me hundred times to update my address records for my mobile connection. Only after i have threatedned to cancell all corporate connections for my office, did they stop calling

Airtel — complaint not taken care of for past 6 months, unreasonable disconnection of services

A tariff plan change was requested by me in August 2008 which was not taken care of. Subsequent bills calculated as per the wrong tariff plan (hence more than what i was liable to pay). No corrective action taken even after repaeated communication with the customer care. Matter continued till january when all dues where cleared. Irrespective of that, the services were disconnected from the phone on the same day. Services have not been restored even after repeated communication with customer care.

This is the height to which such hypocritical companies like Airtel play with the customer's time and test their patience. Where there should have been no problem at all, the matter has forced me to lodge a complaint against the company. Its high time they learnt a lesson.

DishTV — non receptant of channels

our connection was taken on14.5.08 and free service would expire on 14.5.09 .but it has expired from 5.3.09.two months before.because your employes have not shown the receipts of date of deposit scheme to the head office .My vc no.[protected]. AirTel — CUSTOMER CARE NOT GIVING RESPONSE

I HAD RECHARGED MY CELL [protected] 0N 17/03/2009 WITH WITH SABKUCHH PLAN (148 Rs.) BUT ITS NOT WORKING. MY CALL (ISD CALL) CHARGES NOT CHANGED. AND CUSTOMER CARE NOT GIVING ANY PROPER SOLUTION.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Does Not deliver promised channels

I subscribed to Airtel Digital TV on 2nd of March. At the time of subscribtion I was promised a whole lot channels and the same was confirmed in writing by Airtel.

After subscribtion, the promised are not viewable, I have raised this issue with Airtel Customer Service but of no use. Evry time I call them they just have a standard answer " We are looking into it".

My request for escalation of issue was bluntly refused by customer service executive. Mails to [protected]@airtel.in has not fetched any response.

Its been almost a month ann there is absolutely no progress on this.


Im surprised by the so called professional of this company who doesnt even bother to reply to their customers mail and have such an arrogant and insensitive customer service executives.


I dont want to continue with Airtel.

AirTel — customer care of airtel is Hell

On 26 March, 2009, I made 3 recharges in the order, Rs 40, Trans ID[protected]; Rs 31, Trans ID 78536088; and Rs 20,[protected]. At that time, I did not know that Rs 20 easy recharge does not exist. I made the Rs 40 recharge first, and I got the message of it first with the Trans ID[protected] and last I made the Rs 20. So when nothing was happening, I called the customer care and registered my complaint. They said me that I did not do the Rs 40 recharge, when i said the ID they said, they had a mistake there and then they said that i made the Rs 20 first, so i have the Rs 20 activated on my mobile. Then they said that, when u do 2 recharges for reducing the call rates at the same time, only 1 goes through. I said to them that it was my fault and I don't want the Rs 20 and change me to the Rs 40, they said "OK" and they said its done and i was changed to the Rs 40 plan, but there there was nothing done. I thought may be they need some, then I called them the next day, it is hell to get get through them, took at least 10 minutes to get to an executive. I have to tell all my complaints once again. They put me in line for almost 15 minutes. After that, I got a reply that they need 24 hours...

Today is April 4, 9 days after I registered my complaint, till now I haven't had it resolved. I called then on 4 different days. Each and every time they said, I will get it resolved in 24 hours and they are sorry. Last time, when I checked with them, I got a reply called "I[censored] have any complaints, go to your nearest office". Then why these companies made these so called Customer Care Executives. I lost almost Rs 60 that day. Who will pay for it and who will pay for the time I lost, spending hours to get through to then

What should people like us do?

Airtel — Not transfering my call to customer care executive

I am using airtel prepaid card since last 1 year. Whenever I need to talk with customer care executive, they are not transfering. Just at the moment when call is to be transfered, call is rejected & beyond this a lady thanks me for calling ( Already recorded voice ). From past 3-4 days I am trying to talk with customer care executive, but they are literally ignoring.

My bigtv subscription card expired on 28 april, immediately i got it recharged but they havent resumed the programmes yet nor customer care picking up the phone. Now whome to contact and how I dont know.

Airtel Digital TV — Technical Problem

I am the first customer of Airtel Digital TV in my locality, was proud to here that indeed.
But i realised the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider. The installation was left midway by the service engineers, even if you call the Pune call centre hold on the line for min 15 mins slapping your phone bills & the worst the executive will disconnect your call if he/she does not has the efficiency to solve your problem.

I tried mailing the customer care dept -- [protected]@airtel.in, giving them reminders every second day, but in vein i get only a auto-generated- response, whcih means Airtel is very well in reciept of all the mails, i am still waiting for the reply.

I am also having a Tata Sky connection since a long time, but have not faced any such issues with them, atleast they are eager to hear what their customer has to say.

My strong advice is NEVER GO IN FOR AIRTEL DIGITAL TV, UNLESS U HAVE THE ELIGIBILITY TO BRIBE A HIGH GRADE OFFICER, WHO CAN HELP U SORT OUT THE WORST WELCOME TROUBLES U WILL FACE AS A CUSTOMER.

Airtel — Amount charged for No service received

I have been approached for a telephone and broadband connection at my residence 38 C B Pocket Dilshad garden and I have paid the applicable charges of INR 649 (Bill No-581431 and I have my bank statement showing the charges are cleared )and same has been debited to my account on 15th April approx.
Because they need to dig the premises to plant the cable i have disagreement over the issue of digging and hence I denied the request of connection to the sales agent Mr. Amit Kumar Tripathy (Air tel Sales in charge of Dilshad Garden) and since then my money is stuck and no communication from air tel end to reverse the amount.
Also when i contacted Amit Kumar Tripathy the sales in charge he responded that the amount will be reversed in on week later when i contacted he very abruptly answered to contact customer care. Since the connection was not provided hence Airtel shouldn't debit money initially also if debited they should have reversed immediately.
I need resolution as well as compensation for all inconvenience faced.

I am sugumar from chennai, I have taken a digital tv from airtel last year Nov.08 Customer ID [protected] for past two days Iam not watching any programmes on my digital tv because of my set top box is not working, I spoke several times in this regard to thier executives Mr.Kingsley, Mr.Karthik and some more, finally they gave the complaint no.734831 dated 28.5.09 but till the moment nobody has come to my house and rectify the problem.I wasted my time to speak with this executives even they are taking minimum of 20 to 25 minutes and they are asking to hold the line

AIRTEL -Network ; connectivity & service — Problematic AIR TEL

For many years I have been using Airtel connection & for many years I have been complaining about the network problems. It’s been observed that unfortunately there has been no solid action on the customer complaints.

There are several issues with Airtel network

1) Network Problem ( Connectivity)

2) Voice break or no voice.

3) Call drops. (If one call is coming while ongoing call. The ongoing call gets cut)

· Billing needs to be investigated.

It’s unfortunate that there are no calls from the company for the service issues. The customer service has been a major & regular issue.


At times the customer care unit people are unable to provide solutions or they possess a lack of knowledge about the systems.

As I have been suggested; I have got my SIM card changed more over I have changed my handset instruments as well but AIR TEL problems are still the same.

Request to kindly look in the matter. The action taken to fix the problem would be appreciated.

I didnt plan to buy to airtel digital tv.But it came along with my TV.. but when i started using it i realised that i shld'nt have taken that...Its such a sad company..irresposible..I tried 3 days continiously (dnt know how many times) to get in touch with customer care but no luck.I went to airtel relationship center.But they r ready to sale digital tv but not at all ready to help u.. Even they r not ready to give you any other number apart from the one which is mentioned in website..Everytime i tried to go for a top up all of my channels were blocked more than 4 hours whereas they say it'll take only 45 mins.. Its a rubbish...And probably noone can beat the level of poor service...I hav also used Tata Sky..Its cool... Dont buy BIG TV connection if you have any plan to opt DTH connection. We are suffering a lot with this service and very very very very very very very very very very very poorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr customer care serivice.Initially setup box software was not update properly and we had to follow up with them to rectify this issue for more than 10 days.After that when we try to recharge the channels the amount are not getting added into our account and still we are follwoing up with them. I bought Airtel digital TV ultra pack from dealer in bangalore. Paid full Rs 2500 with 3 months subscription free for the same on 4th June. Activation happened only on 7th June. Reason given was wrong pin code given by dealer earlier. Due to this they generated two cutomer ID for me [protected] on 4th june and [protected] on 7th June. On 12th June my service went down I was not able to receive any channels. I called up customer care and they said your account is not recharged and needs to be rechaged for Rs 750/-. I called up dealer on same day dealer did the recharge on same day amd asked me to wait for 1 day. Next day also my service didn't resumed. I called up again to customer care and they said it's been recharged by dealer to old ID and need to transfer it to new ID and it will take another 2 days. Dealer also raised the complaint for the same. Till date my service is not resumed and calling cuatomer care is not helping atall.

It's a situation were I have paid full amount but not able to view any channels almost for a month now.

I have decided to go to consumer court now. Lets see what happens. But urge all those willing to take Airtel connection to think twice before they go for it.

But, after 3 months, I received one SMS stating negative balance and asked to deposit @Rs.11 for "ZeeBangla" channel, which was included in the Pac free for first 3 months only. Now, as per their demand I recharged Rs.50 on Jun, 2009. But, they withdrew the channel from today. I want to restore the channel "ZeeBangla" immediately.

I have faced a severe problem while recharging my account via credit card, many times I have tried it and after entering the amount >200/- It is redirecting me to customer care. I have faced the same problem via airtel website also for recharge.

Then I got a scrap cards then recharged. The requests which is raised by the customer care is NOT closed properly.

Even after recharging my account for Rs. 400/- I got shocked that I'm unable to see any channels, I called twice/thrice to customer care and they raised an complaint:850102 they told that your problem wil be resolved within two working days. After two working days the problem is still not resolved.

Again, called customer care twice and did all the troubleshooting steps what they asked me to do.

I GOT SHOCKED THAT MY EXISTING COMPLAINT (850102) HAS BEEN CANCELLED GIVEN JUSTIFICATION THE COMPLAINT IS NOT TRUE!! I'm still facing problem and I don't know what to do with this worst service and what to do further!!

Airtel Digital TV — Signal Loss In Rainy days

I have an airtel digital tv connection. its work weel but in rainy days i cant watch my tv bcoz it says signal loss.
I'm using Airtel digital TV and have not faced any problems as mentioned above. I got propmt service rite fro the instalation. I'm surpised regrd the 1st complaints how on earth does his phone bills rise when they have a toll-free no. to be reached at. I always use that no and never had to wait for long. My brother uses Tata Sky...and he is not satisfied with their cust service.

Also the interface and problems arising due to heavy rains, AIRTEL is far much better bcos of the size of the dish hich is bigger than any other DTH providers.

So, guys, trust me, AIRTEL DIGITAL is the BEST so far i experienced.
Only if it is raining heavily, only then you wud lose the signal bcos it is directly intercepted via satelite. I too have airtel DIGITAL, but this is still better than other DTH providers as they wud face this problem even if it rains normaly. The size of the dish for airtel is biger than others.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Service default

I do regular trading in stock market, and I have to keep continues watch on the market, and almost making 10000 to 20000 profit or loss on daily basis.

I have taken this connection ( Customer ID [protected]) 6 months back, assuring me for a full service for the time period. until 6 months I did not have any Problem in the Connection. Once this period was over, it started giving problem. with in a last 5 days, Airtel Set top box has lost the signal twice. I had called up the Customer care executive and logged a complaint, one the fist occasion the engineer came in and provided his service and charged us for Rs300, apart from the regular charges of Rs 100

On the second occasion, today (6th Aug) I had called the customer care executive, informing the lost of signal again, within a time frame of 5 days. I was informed that I would be charged Rs 100 by the Engineer on his visit.since, Our warranty period of 181 days is complete. whereas I can see that there is only a signal lost, and upto my knowledge there can not be any warranty on the services but only on the product. and Signal to the settop box is only the service for which we are paying to Airtel.

I usually sleep by 11 PM, but due to the mental stress given by the customer care executives I am forcefully logging a complaint to the consumer complaints.in expecting a better service to the consumers like me.

Airtel — Bad Customer Service and Failed to provide DTH Service on the due date

I called Airtel service to subscribe for DTH service and I was directed to Aman Telecom (Airtel DTH Distributor) on 6 Aug 09.I paid the an amount of 2500 and serial number [protected] was provided to with a promise of installation on 9/Aug/09 and when I called the distributor (Aman Telecom) I was given a run around.

Looking at the poor service I called Airtel customer and asked for a refund and gthey asked to me speak to the distributor, to which I said that i jusy want the money back and I am not interested in th service.

Hi, I was having the same problem but mostly i am doing my servicing. Signal problem is mostly from outside antenna. From menu->settings-> signal is there or something like that. I am opening the signal strength menu and going up. both the signal strength should be more than 80%. From antenna i am moving it and trying to find best signal. When i find it i am fixing it properly. Due to rain, wind sometimes it is moving, so no need to pay them. We can do that our self. Just an advice..

My calls for re installation havent been attended for the last one week
A new complaint no & time is given every time I call.




For the last one hour your call centre executives are pretending that lines are not clear.
So with a phoney accent they start saying HELLO HELLO and disconnect my call.

Incase Airtel is too busy they should let me know the same.... and incase service cannot be provided why not refund the money that you are sitting on??

Airtel Digital TV — Defective Reception/Broken Images Sound

I subscribed to Airtel Digital Tv and it was installed on 04/07/09 and after a week the reception detoriated. Since then i have been calling the service center.
Watching TV is like watching an old scratched CD. Numerous phone calls to Service center @[protected] yield no result. I have to repeat my Consumer No. /Address/Date of installation/Previous dates of call /verify my email/land line-Cell no. and then told to wait while they seacrh for a solution. After 10 mins. the line gets cut off and i have to repeat the process again. One helpful soul told me to open the set top box, clean the card, check the wiring and to report back. unfortunately, the same person never picks up the phone again and the person is invariably busy elsewhere. They even refused to Register or give me a complain No for reference. I have also emailed my complain but no reaction.

They advised me to purchase Recharge-Voucher; accordingly they recharged for worth Rs. 500/- and asked me to wait for 1 hour to view all the Channels

Sorry to inform you that till time there is no connection. In the mean time, I contacted all the AIRTEL service centre /customer care nos./the dealer, and I found that there is no response from anyone and I found the most worst & hapless services are provided by them in the name of AIRTEL Digital TV. I hope that you are responsible person who can solve my problem without disturbing me anymore.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Not working for 20 days!

I got Digital TV installed on 3-9-09 vide Customer ID[protected], STB ID[protected] View Card No[protected].

It functioned till 9th when I had to leave Chennai on work.

After my return when I switched on the STB on 24th Sep, I started receiving Error Code 2 stating that the View Card is not an Airtel Cad or it may not be inserted properly! (But it was the original Airtel Card and I had not touched it!)

I complained to the Customer Care through[protected]. After a few hours the worked for some time and again started showing the same error message.

Thereafter started my tales of woe and frustration. I have made 28 calls so far. But the problem remains unsolved.

It is evident that the STB / View Card are defective and need to be replaced, as it can work for only a few minutes in every 24 hours!

I call the customer care everyday. Everyday I am promised that the problem will be solved the next day. But it has so far not been solved.

I am given each time a new deadline and I am forced to stay at home hoping somebody will call or visit to replace the defective equipment. But nothing happens. When I call and complain I am given a new date and time. This has been going on for close to 20 days now.

In this period I have spoken to so many customer care call centre people (Vikas, Roopa, Radheshyam, Edison, Vanmathi, Mahesh and so on.) Two people claiming to be some kind of supervisors also spoke to me. Mr Kabir promised that an engineer would come at 13-00 hrs on 10th; of course, nobody called or came. A similar promise had been made by Mr Edison (solving by 1600 hrs on 10th), Vanmathi (solving by 15 hrs on 12th), Mahesh (solving by 13 hrs on 13th), Sonia D'Sousa (withing 45 minutes, ie 15-45 hrs on 12th) and so on.

But nothing happens!

From the website, I find that Airtel provides very poor customer care services. So many people have complaints.

Once and for all, can somebody in Airtel management tell me whether Airtel has any intention of solving the problem, and by what date?

I have made 28 calls in all, spent over 400 minutes talking to Call Centre guys and not watched any TV for which I have paid.

Will someone wake up?

this is to inform all those who are planning to have airtel digital t.v. please don't go for this rubbish product as i am experiencing a lot with others. whenever we go for a product, first of all we look for the after sales service. in spite of others warning, i purchased the airtel digital t.v. and as a result, i am suffering for their excellent (!) after sales service. my set top box started giving problem since saturday last (10th of October, 2009). the menu is not working, screen saver is coming after every 3/4 minutes. the set top box is not working at all. i immediately contacted the toll free number as requested to send their service engineer and inspect the set top box. by this time i was given number of docket numbers, saying that the service engineer will come definitely on this time or that time. the docket numbers are 1214959, 1206053, 1198148 etc. today is 13th and already 4 days are over but the service engineer is yet to come. they are boasting that they are 24x7. does it prove their 24x7 service and excellent customer care. i don't know whether the management goes through the mail or the recording for internal training. now i have started advising others not to go for this rubbish product. the management, are you listening ?

    I am Vijay Pratap Singh and my customer ID is [protected].I have purchased A digital tv in May For Rs 1750 and its validity was 3 months. And i Recharge it By net banking For 1400 rupees on 7sep.. And talk to cutomer care to recharege for 1 year validity (Same plan as was Super value pack).
   
* So there should be +135 rupees in my account (Rs1400 pay+Rs105 promotional offer-Rs1370 for one year validity).
    # On 1 oct my services was stopped saying your account is negative as they cut Rs 350 for plan upgradation.But nither i request to you for plan upgradation nor i got any conformation for such type of deduction. My plan is same as from beginning (super value Plan).
  # I have talked more than 20 times to Customer care they always says that this amount was deducted due to some mistake by Computer ( as it takes as auto upgradation plan because i recharge it before completion of three months) or their colleauge mistake. And they send waver for correction (complaint no-1136805 dated-29sep, 1171636 dated-05 oct, 1181466 dated 7oct,[protected]oct).
 They always ensure that our services will start next day or with in 24 hrs.But till now no action taken
 So i am so much frustated for this. Please correct it .If you have any proof that i request for plan upgradation than call me.Because i never request for it.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — No response from service - System Down for 5 days

The Airtel Digital TV service centre is probably the most difficult place to reach. The customer support executives cannot be reached. After several attempts, if you do succeed in reaching them, they are unable to assign any engineers for service. My system is down for almost a week now. I have called several times, registered a complaint, sent them mails. But, there has been no response from them at all. There is a credit balance of almost Rs. 900+ in my account. I also wish to get back my money and discontinue the service since I am missing out on everything that I wanted to see. This entire process has caused me servere stress, waste of time and money.

Kindly advice action.

    Airtel — Deactivation Request for ThebigfatfreeStore Subscription

    Hello Airtel Users,

    This is to inform you that if you are reading this then its probably too late.

    Let me start from the beginning. I recieved a SMS from AirtelLive (ad-54321) on 26.08.2011, that i had used ThebigfatfreeStore subcription service from Airtel and that i had been charged Rs. 5 for the same. Considering it to be a one off incident i did not investigate further.

    However on the 27th and 28th i have recieved messages from the same AirtelLive service that my subscription to ThebigfatfreeStore has been renewed and that i have been charged Rs. 5 for the same.

    When i called up customer care(121), i found that no service of such a nature is registered against my number.

    I was befuddled and tried to Google the problem and found many other complaints of the same nature.

    I am sure that these ppl will be of no help and i am better of switching to a different service provider.

    However i am taking the pain to write this so that others who will inevitably be cheated will know not to waste time with the customer care and simply go ahead and dump Airtel.

    We need to remind these corporate bigshots that its customers like us who pay for their lifestyle and very few things in this world is irreplacable which definately does not include our mobile company.

      I had requested to change my existing bill plan to IB 33 CUG 538 on 5-Aug-2011. After several followups and escalation mails for more than a month the bill did not changed. on 7 -Sep-2011 when i called them om given escalation number the response i got is it will take time there is a process. Will it take a month to change a plan from one plan to other ? the same plan changed with in 2 days for all my colleagues at office.

      When i called them on the number they did not respond to me properly and when i asked them for the next escalation level they gave false information. first when i called they said sajid is their manager and hung up the phone on my face. the second time i called another person said there is no further escalation point all you need to do is go to consumer forum. and today again they called and said your bill plan changed and this is confirmation call, while i am talking to them i asked who is your next escalation point then she said Ravi. 3 times 3 different answer.

      The real story is here though they changed the plan today but i have raised the request on a month back. i been charged according to the old plan. who will pay the excess amount ? the answer i got is no fee wavier. for their negligance why i should pay ?

      More over i been treated and insulted by hung up the phone several times. I would like to bring this to consumer forum . I do have all the document proofs to support my claim. Please help me in this regard.

          My Self Vinod and I have using Airtel connection for my daily calls and web browsing. Now days Airtel service provider deducting money like any thing they want and they will tell 'sorry sir this not over problem'. Yesterday night I have recharged 98 Rs internet pack. and I have received 1GB data within 2 hours my free data for downloading size is showing empty and when I called customer care of Airtel ,they are saying that ' We can't do any thing an you downloaded '.
          Within 2 hours in mobile how can I download 2 GB? and also I'm using 2g network .
          Three time they have activated my caller tone and deducted 30 Rs/each time and that is also without my information. Till date they have not credidted that.

          Please help on this issue and save Indian people from corruption.

          This is Hemanth from bangalore,regarding unnecessary deduction of currency from my phone balance and providing a wrong reason.
          I am the regular user of mobile internet from past 2-3 yrs. from past 15 days the service provider(airtel)
          Is deducting the balance like anything and when called to customer care either they will disconnect the call or give a silly reason of '' sir u downloaded games videos etc etc'' which is incorrect. From past 15 days its almost 80 rupees. its a valuable amount for me. I am an optometrist. I hope u understand my issue and revert the amount back.

            iam s. Seethalakshmi i applied for air tel broadband connection on 14.08.2011 and paid rupees 699/- but after 7 days only i got a connection i spent nearly 100 rs for phone charges for contacting the airtel staffs to give a connection responding of the staffs are literally poor ideally i wasted 4 days to get a connection. they gave a connection on 22.08.2011 but no use still i have not access the net even for 30mnts continuously because the link get disconnected frequently. then i post a complaint they suggested to change the modem. then i changed the another new beetel 220BX ADSL+ MODEM but again i got a same complaint. again and again i call and say the problem to the air tel staff who gave the connection to me but no response still now the same problem is occurring. pleas. thats why i post the complaint to u. please help me solve the problem

              My name is Deepak Kumar Gupta, purchased prepaid sim in the month of July. My mobile number is [protected]. The verification itself happened in July with me only. When my father recharged with Rs. 500 in the month of August and got the same 500 balance and that they stopped our prepaid sim service. The reason is that they verify it again in the absence of mine and my sister picked up the phone. She doesn't know the documents about the sim and she mistakenly given the false information about the sim that it was in the name of my father and she is also a minor having of age of 14 years only.
              When I have given details to Airtel first they told me the sim will about to start in few days and in between the sim also started for two days from 24 August to 26 August and again they closed on 26 august night. Later Airtel service center people the sim goes to negative and in this regard I have given complains on Monday (29 August) itself but they are not ready solve the issues. In this regard I have call in customer care also where I talked Priya, Rani etc but they are refused to entertain me and they have disconnected the phone also. In this regard I have asked to nodal officer Miss Sanya and she also do not helped me and every body is giving a round about answer.
              There is enough balance of Rs. 400 in this number and I lost all of it. After lot of struggle I am sending this issue in consumer forum and this issue is not only of me it is of others also.
              Please help me and get my number started and return of the balance.

                I do not know that you are aware of the facts that the outstanding bill in my account has remained for the reasons mentioned below.

                1. Your caller had given me a call reminding me to pay the outstanding bill. I had requested your caller to send me hard copy of the bill from December 2010, as my accountant had requested for the same for auditing purpose. Your caller had requested me to send an SMS as your system does not accepts oral request on mobile phone. Further I had requested your caller that since I am placed in Goa and I am not gadget savvy, I would not be able to do the same, therefore I had requested him to consider my request on Phone. Your caller was pleased to note down my request. After Half an hour my service was disconnected, leaving me with no choice but to choose other service.

                2. Thereafter your caller had called on the numbers provided by me, one which is of my sister and one of my nephews. They also requested to send the hard copy of the bills from the month of December 2010.Your caller had promised to do so but failed to provide the same. Your caller used to call my sister any time and they used to use rough language and had also threatened to send person to my office. Since my sister being practicing lawyer, she didn't wanted to be disturbed during working hours requested your caller to contact me on my new number and provided the same to your caller.

                3. Thereafter one Mr. Ali and Feroze visited my Ghatkopar office and started arguing with my sister to pay the bill immediately or to face the consequences. Mr. Ali also
                Threatened my sister that we are having 18 muscle men that will follow one by one and will torture you and pressurize to pay the bill, on this my sister has lodged a police complaint with Pant Nagar Police station.

                4. Thereafter your caller Neha had called my valuable Client whose names are as follows.

                1.Mr. Velankar [protected]

                2. Mr.Rahul [protected]/[protected]

                3.Mr.Nathu [protected]

                4.Mr.Kiran Mandovkar [protected]/[protected]

                5.Mr.Bhutare [protected]

                Your Caller Neha had gone beyond her jurisdiction and I suppose that the issue of nonpayment had been taken by her personally and she was inquiring with my clients all my personal details spoiling my image as if she was one of my relative and I am being missing from my home and this issue of my being missing was authorized by my relative and friends. You may understand the same, as it would not be possible for me to elaborate more.

                5. Your caller Neha had also induced me into some fictitious name as Priti to be my wife.

                6.Priti had also lodged complaint with Navpada Police station for the same for which I had to apologized to them, when I had requested, one who claimed to be senior Executive, who was surprised after listening to my complaint and indeed he requested me to send my complaint via email, so that he can look into the matter. Thereafter one Mr. Sandeep Singh from Eternity Malad office not using the official number of your office had called the lady late in the night and fired her to note his personal number [protected] and to tell me to call me immediately. The lady intimated me and simultaneously lodged the complaint to the police. This was also intimated to Mr. Singh who was so rough that he intimated me that the request I had with the senior Executive few hours back was not in the system, and therefore he had called and further stated that I would be calling you day and Night until you pay the outstanding.

                7. Even Neha had threatened me to meet me in the court on 7th of this month if I do not pay the bill.

                8. I had requested Many times to your entire caller to send me the hard copy of the bills which they have neglected for the best reason known to them.

                9. Since I was annoyed by the caller behavior and the language which they were using for the customer who is for the past 6 to 7 years paying regularly without any default, was put under threat along with his family members, and was defamed with his valuable customers.

                10. From the date when my service was disconnected without written intimation from you, I have lost My business, professional Carrier, prestige, credit defamation which cannot be compensated in terms of money.

                11. You have also intimated me that I have be served and received intimation regarding compelling you to take the matter legally by you which I deny that I have received any written intimation from your office for the same. Now I request you that I am ready to face the matter legally since I and my family members have gone through agony and
                pain which you can estimate from the above incidences.

                12.I would like to bring to your notice that while availing your service you take down the contract in writing from the customers under their hand and seal, have you anywhere written in the terms of contract the following points.

                1. That you have full rights to use the data of the customer without his knowledge?

                2. That you are not bound to provide the hard copy of any correspondence or bill in writing?
                3. That your caller has right to inquire personal information of your customers with his clients?

                4. That you will use Muscle men to receive the amount of bill pending with the customer?

                5. That you will use fictitious names and relation to implicate your customers to disturb their family life?

                  I have taken an Airtel Digital connection in the month of October 2010 on the customer ID no. [protected]. On 16th July 2011, I encountered with the problem of No signal (error code B001) which I reported to Airtel technical team of same day. After my compliant report on 16th July 2011, no action was taken from Airtel technical team. Because of my continuous follow up Engineer visit happened on 24th July 2011 with a delay of Eight Days. On that day, Engineer fixed up the system but certain channel (like Discovery, National Geographic) were having the same no signal problem and certain channels were visible with distorted picture but Airtel technician gave a reply that it is because of bad weather. He charged Rs. 100/- for the service and no receipt was provided by him stating that it is the company’s policy. I am amazed that can Airtel have such kind o[censored]nlawful practices.

                  But After that waiting for one month my signal problem was not resolved so I again raised a concern to Airtel technical team by calling on Airtel call center on 22.08.2011 and till now no engineer visit has happened to my place. During the period of ten days from 22.08.2011 till today, I came cross with following series o[censored]nfriendly experiences, towards which I would like to draw Airtel kind attention.

                  Fake commitments – During the period, I talked with four of executives of escalation department who committed me that they will resolve the problem and give me a call back. None of the executives has given any call back.

                  Closure of complaint without resolving – After registering my complaint, I get a message from Airtel stating registration of my complaint and to my surprise, after some time, I again get a message that my problem is resolved that to without engineer visit to my site. It has happened four times in the period.

                  Incorrect Engineer Number – The technician number mentioned in my all complaint registration messages was also not correct. When I call on that number a reply is got “ mein Airtel ka kaam six months pehle chod diya tha mujhe dubara call mat karna”. I reported this to Airtel call center but no action was taken.

                  Arrogant and Unhelpful behavior of Airtel executives – Many times I requested Airtel escalation department executives to connect me with higher officials but they refused to do so stating that this is the maximum level of customer resolution hierarchy.

                  Now after a series of calls to Airtel customer care center, I am of the opinion that my problem is very small to draw the attention of Airtel busy executives and it left me with only option to write a letter to you with a hope that you will definitely help me to resolve my problem .

At 11.16 Am I called back at that no and on the other side a person speaking in slightly Punjabi ascent said that he’s calling from Airtel office and my number has been selected in a lucky draw and I have won Rs.25 Lakh. At that time Airtel music was playing in the background. He said that for confirmation I have to call his senior at Kolkata office whose No is [protected]. I called on this number and again a man with slightly Punjabi ascent said that I have won Rs 25Laks by lucky draw of Airtel mobile Numbers selected by computer. He said to recharge my phone with Rs.150 and give my bank account number to him. At that time I realised that this is some kind of fraud and hence I disconnected the phone call.
                    Today 8/9/2011 I called at Airtel Customer care number 121 at 2:35 pm for lodging a complaint and told them that yesterday someone from Airtel office with Mobile no [protected] told me that I have won a luck draw from Airtel of Rs 25laks.and then asked me to call his senior at Kolkata office at the no[protected] to confirm my details .
                    The Airtel customer care executive told me that this number is from Pakistan and they are some fraudsters .I have lodged the complain on website of Airtel as well as on Delhi Police website.

                      I will suggest no one to go for Airtel 3g USB Dongle.
                      First I bought the dongle with postpaid connection ([protected]), for which no one from airtel came for address verification neither they gave me a call and deactivated the connection. When I called support, they said its mentioned, no one was at home and I was called twice I didn't receive the call. Which is simply a "LIE". I have 2 phones from separate providers. If one is unreachable, the call automatically gets forwarded to my other phone. I never miss a call. When I asked them "give me the name and contact number of the person who came for verification", they say "we don't keep any such information." And they stick to the point that, if its written you were not present means you were not present.

                      Being frustrated with that, I took a pripaid sim ([protected]) and activated 3G on to it.
                      Firstly, for 3G prepaid recharge of Rs 750, the local vendors cant do that, online recharge wont accept that, and only option is to drive 8km to a airtel store to get it recharge.
                      Secondly, for last 3 days I am getting speed of 10-15kbps. I called the support again ([protected] - 1222). The person said, you deactivate and activate 3g, it will work. When I asked, why is it happening ? 'coz I have enough balance and validity. He said he is forwarding my call to his senior. Then some one picked the phone and put it to mute. I waited for 18 min and no response.
                      So I called again. Now one lady picked up. I explained her the full scenario. then she says "I am forwarding your call to Post Paid department". I immediately stopped her and told "why are you forwarding to post paid department ? its a issue with prepaid 3G dongle". She said, ok please hold. After few minutes she reverts back saying the same "I am forwarding your call to Post Paid department". I told her again breaking things slowly one by one, that "IT IS A 3G PREPAID CONNECTION. YOU ARE IN 3G PREPAID TECHNICAL SUPPORT. WHY ARE YOU FORWARDING TO POSTPAID AGAIN ?". She again said "please wait" and forwarded the call the somewhere where it kept on ringing for 22min. I got fedup and disconnected.

                      Having no other option left, I have took the first person's suggestion to deactivate and re-activate 3G. But guess what !! I am still in to 15kbps speed. not only that, my Rs750 of scheme got canceled and Airtel is not charging me 10p/10kb.

                      I suggest no one to buy a Airtel 3G connection !
                      I dont mind something going wrong. There could be technical reasons for that. But with the their attitude of "You bought our product, You must suffer !". It is unnecessary harassment to the customers.

                      I bought a 3G sim from Airtel ( number - [protected]) on 5th Aug, 2012 evening. It worked well for two days, 3 rd day onwards, the sim failed to register on Airtel 3G ( showing unable to register the network).

                      Called customer care, their executives told that they are unable to help as the number does not reflect in their system. Called several times, most of the time they said they will arrnage a call back to do the needful, however none took the ownership to resolve the problem.

                      Also went to Airtel Store at Bally, did not able to help , but encourage me to escalate the issue.

                      Finally went to the shop from where I bought the Sim, he immediately refund me the money, but did not take the ownership to resolve the problem.

                      Is this way Airtel work? Is there anyone from Airtel who can take the ownership to solve the problem? Or Airtel has a policy not to take ownership of the problems customers face, turn deaf, and close the call without resolving the problem.

                      I recharge my mobile([protected]) 20 days back by 151 rupee which is data plan from airtel where i have t get 500MB 2g and 500MB 3g data for one month. i have nokia C6-00 phone which is 3g cellphone. I know all functions i already used 3g by docomo but now airtel 3g is not working on my cell. i tried technical support from airtel for more than 4 days continuously but every one telling me that i just started Ur 3g u will get confirmation MSG from airtel within 4 hr and u can access data. i spend more than 10 to 15 rupee extra to talk with customer care but no one solved my problem. finally one guy tell me that please activate 3g by sending MSG from my mobile. i tried by dialing *121*11# then system tells me that "yoUr request for 3GVBC plan can not be processed as yoUr cUrrent Free MB is more than 50 MB" what the hell is this.....? Now i realise that airtel use my money without providing any service to me. and now i have to wait till my pack end then i have to activate basic plan and then recharge data pack and then i can use it....... really worst service from airtel.

                      Worst ISP ever for it's 3G services. Took me around 2 minutes to open this page with amazing and High Speed 3g Internet. Don't know what's happening with Indian Internet speed.

                        Even i have faced same problem with this airtel guy. I checked online for his complaint and finally i stopped my cheque. He is a big fraud and even airtel Senior executives aren, t taking any action against these type of executives. I am using airtel fixed line and airtel posted services since 5 years but seriously never faced this type of problem which i am facing since 2 months.

                        I hope someone from airtel will take it as a serious note.

                          I applied (Application No.: 273355, Cef No.: TBLR)for an Airtel Broadband connection (ALFA-6GB) through an Airtel agent/executive (someone Mr. Kashi….., Mobile No.:[protected]) on[protected]. He explained me that the offer I wish to apply for would cost me Rs. 1600. Further, he suggested me that I should give him Rs. 800 immediately and Rs. 800 at the time of application. Also, he took additional Rs.50 in the name of some formalities. He promised me that I will get the connection within next 4-5 days. When I did not get any reply form either the executive whom I had applied through or the Airtel, I called up the executive. He picked up the call after 4-5 calls only to buy time for 1 hour. To my dismay, 2-3 hours went by but he did not reply. Later, when I called him again, he did not reply to my satisfaction.

                          Then I called up Airtel customer care (Complaint No.:3076956, Date[protected], Executive- Mr. Janardan, Location- Bangalore). The customer care executive told me that no application, in my name, was received by Airtel till date. I told him, in detail, about my grievances and he assured me that he had noted down all the details. Also, I had told the name and the contact number of the executive I had applied through. The Airtel executive assured me that Airtel would contact me latest by 5:30PM of[protected]. Again, I did not get any response from Airtel till[protected]. When I called up again on 3rd September (Complaint No.: 3412236, Date[protected], Executive- Ms. Soni, Location- Bangalore), the Airtel executive told me that there was no information noted down in the previous complaint about Mr. Kashi. She again assured me that I’ll get response latest by 5th September, 2011.

                          At last, I got a verification/ inquiry call from Airtel on 6th September (Phone No.: [protected]). The caller ( a lady) told me that they have, finally, received my application but she did not tell me the date on which Airtel received my application. Again, she told me that Airtel would contact me as soon as possible. I told her my time of availability and requested that the Airtel should manage accordingly.

                          Unfortunately, I did not get any response from Airtel as of today (8th September, 2011). When I called up today around 5:00 PM, the customer care executive told me that Airtel tried to contact me but my contact number was not reachable. This is absolutely baseless excuse because my number is a business number which is available 24x7. Instead, this excuse on the part of the Airtel executive would put double shame on the Airtel as my mobile number is Airtel’s. When I requested to transfer my call to higher-ups, he requested me to hold on-line and made me to wait for 7-10 minutes but no one replied afterwards.

                          I expect that the Airtel would act immediately and provide me the connection within 24 hours. Further, I request the consumer forum and the TRAI to look into the matter and take necessary action in this connection.

                          Airtel — inaction and delay in providing broadband connection

                          Sir,
                          This is to bring into your notice the laxity and inaction on the part of your company for not providing broadband connection despite having applied for the same on30th of April 2011.An employee(Mr. Mehendi Ph: [protected]) from Airtel came to my residence on 30th April 2011 and collected necessary documents ( Xerox copy of PAN card, xerox copy of House rental agreement). Form for the purpose was filled, payment of Rs.500/- was made through Cheque NO.183527 of Indian Overseas Bank Lucknow and was offered monthly 799 plan. I was further assured that the connection will be installed within two days. Nobody turned up I myself when inquired about the connection I was told that within two days my connection will be installed. Again after further lapse of four days I was again assured that urgently connection will be installed and again I was reminded that we have the best service. It is relevant to mention here that my work is suffering for want of broadband connection. There is absolutely No response from the company for the delay in the matter. Such indifferent attitude towards consumer is really shocking from company of such repute.
                          It will be very kind of you if you can register my complaint and take necessary action and see my money is refunded at the earliest. Looking forward for prompt response in the matter.

                            Airtel — call rates charged in excess

                            Sir,

                            Im Talha Tahir a resident of 70, rabindra sarani 2nd floor, kolkata 700073, my phone number is [protected]

                            I am using airtel connection since almost 2 years and I recharge my phone with a power recharge of 95/- Rs every month. Its tariff is Airtel to Airtel 30 paisa at day time and 15 paisa at night (from 11pm till 7 am).

                            Last time I recharged my phone with a power of 95/-Rs on 05/08/08, but since 14/08/08 I am being charged 20 paisa per minute for calls made to airtel during night(from 11 pm till 7 am)



                            For this case I had contacted airtel people through mail, firstly they assured me that an amount of Rs.73.57/- will be credited to my account within 24 hours, but no such credit was done.



                            And when I again reverted back to them, their reply was that the debit or charges which were made to my account were fair and no excess has been charged.

                            Pls let me know that, can I lodge a complain against them for this case?? I have their mail as a proof of reply from them.

                            Airtel — regarding to extra recharge for less call rate

                            I have recharged Rs 295 recharge and rs 48 to convert 1 Rs call into .50 paise, But Now I am Paying Rs 1 again.

                            Airtel — call charges increased to Rs. 1/ min

                            1) Without my permisssion, cricket pack was activated on my mobile which resulted in loss of Rs. 5 per day to me. I tried to contact the call centre but no satisfactory reply or resolution could be achieved. After a very long time only, I could get it rectified and it resulted me in the loss for over a Rs. 100 and so much problems.


                            2) My call charges has suddenly been hiked to Rs. 1 per minute. and this continues even when i make a call for 5 sec. This is leading me to large problems and financial loss.

                            The amount of money charged may not be very high but it is still very important for me.

                            I am using airtel connection since almost 3 years and Icharged Airtel to Airtel 29 paisa and other calls 50 paisa.

                            Last time I recharged my phone with a power of 41/-Rs on 29/08/11, but since 29/08/1 I am being charged 1 Rupee per minute for calls .

                            Pls help me and reduce my call charges.
                            No convincing action has yet been taken and I am still facing the problem. Also I am losing faith on your company gradually.
                            My mobile number is still the same and never my cell is out of reach. Being a Mobile Service Provider, and telling "Not able to Contact" is totally unacceptable.
                            I feel there won't be any more useful effect from your end on my persisting problem.

I got new SIM card from AIRTEL Dealer two months back(June 28th) but till toady it not activated when every i am asking the details about this dealer tolds check n tell the status but not giving any update

                              I can contact another dealer and get the connection easly but I want to know AIRTEL have enough customer now so they dont need any more new customers . Can you please explain this .

                                Airtel Engineer has broken the dish and airtel is not resolving the problem

                                I am a Airtel digital TV SD subscriber with customer id:[protected].
                                I received a call from airtel executive that Airtel has upgraded satellite and satellite settings need to be changed on my STB and Dish Antenna. On 20-Aug-2011 Mr. Ramesh(Mobile: [protected]) from Airtel came to change satellite setting and due to some reason he was not gaining proper signals when he changed dish antenna orientation to new satellite direction.

                                Im trying to track this consignment number for a while and today I got a status update from overnite courier express that the consignment is HELD with BHARTHI AIRTEL itself.
                                Do you people have any concern for your customer? If you are not going to give me back the money tell me upfront but don’t involve in these cheap activities.
                                Its been 3 months im following up [atleast 30+ phone calls and 20+ e-mails] with airtel for a refund cheque and aren’t you guys ashamed for the kind of work you r doing?

                                You guys are not returning the cheque back properly, I asked many times that I can come and collect the cheque and you said there is no such policy? What the heck should I do, when you are not giving the money and when you are not permitting me to come and collect as well. Are you guys going nuts?

                                  I am struggling to get to activate 3G signals in my (Mobile No. [protected]) I have request to activate 3G on 29 Aug 2011 but the amount Rs 99/- is less from my balance and i don't get 3G signals. Do you think is this FUNNY? I made many calls to the customer care number...BUT no one is helped me to get activated the 3g connection. Its all about change in system in terms of CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP. Now a days no one bothered to take care customer complaints as like earlier. I can not see any senior people/representatives to handle the calls in their major offices in DELHI NCR. As a customer dont have any option to satisfy with their calls. I have four mobiles using airtel number .I shall wait for 9 SEP 2011 if the problem still exists i shall shift to other service provider

                                  AirTel — Amount Deductions for 3G users. Don't use AIRTEL 3G

                                  Hi,

                                  I am using Airtel number. On Jan-25th i was activated the Airtel 3G service.
                                  i brought the R.s 100 pack with 100mb free plan.

                                  It went fine till Feb-23rd and the balance is 10mb reaming before 24th.

                                  I have browsing 30mins on 24th morning and they charged the 300mb with cost of R.s:350

                                  for this raised the complaint but no use for me. Later i came to know some of my frineds also faced the same problem.They charged 3G services rates with out using 3G hand set.

                                  I believe this is one more 3G telecommunication SCAM from India.

                                  Please can some one help me on this.
                                  WOULD YOU KINDLY TELL ME THAT HOW MUCH TIME YOU TAKE TO SOLVE A SIMPLE PROBLEM..

                                    I am Maheshwar. I have Taken the Airtel sim around 2 months Back.
                                    Till Last Night i.e [protected] my sim was working and I had incoming and outgoing calls.
                                    Suddenly morning[protected] sim became invalid Sim.
                                    I had a conversation with Airtel Customer care executive and supervisor (ragavendra). They are saying Sim became free sim but unable to say why it became like that and asking me to visit Airtel Office Unnecessarily.

                                    Thank you for Your Response.

                                    But I am very much serious about the response which i got from your people.
                                    I have called the Customer care, They said they don't have any information and asked me to visit Airtel Office.
                                    And when i went to Airtel Office in Habsiguda. They said the same thing "Don't Have Information" and asked me to visit the Main Head Office.
                                    "DAM SHUT Is they are not your Airtel Office people."

                                    And I have made a call to 125 from Airtel office Habsiguda. They have said the Address which i have produced is Wrong. and Now I am Ready to Prove that the Address which I have produced is Correct.

                                    The one thing which I have heard from your people is "we can't do anything to resolve your problem"
                                    Totally Disappointed with Airtel Response.

                                      For the past 3 months I am fighting with AIRTEL for charging me by cheating for internet usage. Below is the mail trail to AIRTEL. Their executive has made a mistake in entering the scheme for internet usage for which AIRTEL is billing me. When i pointed it out the first time, AIRTEL reversed the charges accepting the fact the scheme was indeed in force. But the next time ie now, AIRTEL has first refused to accept its executives mistake (I have given transaction ID, executive name and time of conversation and sate details) and moreover barred my outgoing in an effort to arm-twist me into paying their cheating charges. I REFUSE. can any one help???

                                      Corruption and "dadagiri" we Indians have to face every day in our lives.......

                                      How many unsuspecting customers are fleeced by AIRTEL every day this way?

                                      What you are refusing to accept is that I am not BEGGING for these piecemeal discounts..its not the money that matters - I refuse to accept to be cheated! Your discount of 164/- earlier and 250/- now is of no meaning to me, rather its an insult and I see it as a tactic to digress from the main topic of dispute.

                                      As stated in your reply, GPRS FOC @ 30p / 20Kb has been charged on he 5th June wherein 2 GB GPRS Free was activated earlier and was to be in CONTINUOUS FORCE.

                                      MY question is - WHO DEACTIVATED THIS SCHEME without my consent???
                                      WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR THE MISCHIEF / ERROR OF AN AIRTEL EMPLOYEE wh disconnects and reactivatess my account.

                                      After much persuation over the phone ( through 888 at your airtel Realtion centre at Vashi) I have got the details of what was supposed to be YOUR JOB - found the culprit for my dispute.

                                      Interaction No[protected], exec Ganesh Ashok on 27th April 2011 at 5.44 pm. On this occassion I has specifically asked for the 98/- scheme to be activated but the at AIRTEL had activated the 0 rental scheme. Or maybe he is so instructed by Airtel bosses to increase billing o[censored]nsuspecting customers........

                                      Nevertheless, I was billed for Rs.962.70 in my bill dated 03-Jun-2011. This bill reached me on the email on 6th June-2011. when I had raised a dispute on this amount, a cancellation of the charges was promptly done. On this occasion also, I had demanded that the 98/- scheme remain activated, which is shown in YOUR RECORDS as being activated fromthat day onwards.

                                      However on June 5th I was again charged for the internet usage under 0 rental scheme. When I again raised the dispute, i was offered discounts of 164/- and then 250/- to pacify the irate customer.

                                      Further, in a show of complete insensitivity and utter arm-twisting attitude, my outgoing has been barred. What prompt your guys at AIRTEL to think that you can very well cheat a customer and then force him to pay the unreasonable amount as per your whims and fancies???

                                      In my 4 years with Airtel al my bills are paid well before the due date. Now this unresolved dispute is a very annoying experience. either i get a justified resolution immediately, or I am seriously considering porting the number to another - more sane - operator.Currently I have discontinued the internet 98/- package yesterday through an SMS.

                                      ALSO - how can you stop my outgoing while a bill is in dispute???? and not resolved by your team? Second, how can the case be CLOSED by your executive while I am still writing to you abt the same complaint. Can you guys just act on your fanciful whims and harass the customer? Do you people really think that we will not take this matter to law and consumer courts due to your arrogant behaviour?

                                      have some common sense to resolve the mater when its clear that its your executives fault. Take whatever action against the error, why should the customer suffer?

                                      This customer REFUSES to be cheated by your system. And I will also discontinue your services. Moreover this case will be taken to the PRESS also with a record of all these email and telephonic conversations as evidence.
