[Resolved] Airtel — service issues | |||
i had purchased airtel dth with hd recorder a year back and from the 3rd month of purchase i have been having problems of the dth hanging abruptly while watching a program.i had sent the same for service to my dth dealer and he rectified the problem temporarily ( we did not know that it was temporary)- this had happened some 3 times.last week on the 4th sep this problem again happened & this time our dth dealer said he cannot fix it and sent the same to airtel service centre i guess located at chennai. since that day we have been trying to reach the customer care ppl at airtel but every time we call they ask for the complaint all over again and say will get back to you in two hours but till this date we have neither received a call nor the STB. you know how difficult it is for ppl at home to spend a day without television ...we had been so for 6 days now. i had paid 8100 for the STB & also recharged for rs.4900 some 10 days back ( anunual pack ).kindly advice the customer care ppl to attend to the calls of customers with sincerity . the complaint no.they have sent twice 1.23287059 & 2.23410653. this is by far one of the worst customer service .kindly take necessary action thank u Was this information helpful? | |||

pls call [protected]. for your kind information our STB has not reached us yet after almost 10 days & also the customer care ppl said they are charging us some rs1400 for the replacement .
worse of all is the way the customer care ppl responded ...they say will get back to u in a couple of hours but had never called us back .have registered the same complaint some 4 to 5 times.
i switched to airtel dth from tatasky last year, frankly speaking the tatasky customer service was one of the best i have come across . to move over to your service is like visiting a govt office.
am happy atleast someone from airtel is contacting me now.thank you n hope to see better customer service in furture.

I am himanshu soni, I am using Airtel DTH service. My Customer ID is [protected], I have recently relocated from mumbai to bangalore.
I had bought the Airtel DTH at mumbai used it there for last 4-5 months, when i was about to relocate to bangalore i raised a service order for relocation to them 4 days prior to service date and asked to deliver service for un-installation on 24th oct 2010. service was delivered to me on 28th oct. 2010, with a delay of 4 days without any notification of delay reason by that time my all good were moved to bangalore. so i was unable to carry the dish anntena & cable with me. they accepted there mistake & applogies for it and have asked me to submitted to equipments to them.
they said after reaching bangalore i can rasie a new service order for installation and they will not charge me any extra money for it. now it took me 7 days to log a service order for the same with 10 - 15 number of attempts always provide customer repersentative use to provide the request number but it never got logged. finally i successied to get it logged the service order # 4575350.
It has been 4 days that this service order got logged and i have not yet received any service. today i got sms from airtel that your service order got resolved upon calling them they are saying you have to bear the extra cost for the relocation for the mistakes they have done.
also when i left mumbai my acc. balance was +70 INR when i tried to log a service order they told me that your acc. balance is now -17 you have to get it recharge to so that they can log a service order, as a result i trusted them and rechaged my acc. with 200 INR. but havent received any service nor my problem is resolved and they are chareging me daily for no service.
