Dear Sir / Madam,

I am using Airtel Mobile Phone Services for the last 5-6 Years. During the past 3 Years, I am not getting the signal in my work place. I have made number of complaints to Airtel thru'customer care centre but no result.

Recently ( on 25th Jan 2011), I have opted for MNP (Mobile Number Portability) and wanted to switch over to Vodafone service provider. Immediately, there were number of calls from Airtel - promising me that my problem will be solved soon. But, I sticked to my decision to switch over and made it clear.

In spite of that, they have rejected my request for MNP stating some CUG plane and heririchal obligations. So many time I talked with Vodafone and Airtel customer care to know exact status of my request but they all are confusing me and bleming to each other. I am mentally upset and I feel that I am being harrased by this Service Provider.

sir my mobile no [protected], mine is a airtel postpaid connection, i plan to change into TATA DOCOMO, here in my place they said first i need to convert to prepaid and then only i can change to TD. finally after lots of fight with airtel people i have converted into prepaid........now i am sending msg of PORT but i am not receiving code many times i tried ,airtel sucks....plz help me to change

What resolution You gave, You Knows or god knows...?
Hi Airtel Team,
I have taken two airtel connections (Mobile no:- [protected]) Those are CUG connection.
On August 27th, I gave a MNP request to change from Airtel Network.
It seems Airtel has taken a complaint regarding the Network Issues faced by me.
Please cancel/close the request and process the MNP request as early as possible.

Note:- This is the second time i have given the MNP request.

    Dear Sir/ Madam

    This is to inform you I took an Airtel prepaid connection in my name in the month of October.

    Fifth January onwards all calls have been barred.

    Inspite of repeated complaints made regarding activation of my prepaid no [protected] it has been deactivated.

    On enquiry I was informed that it was out of order as address verification was pending.

    I resubmitted all the documents ( Proof of address and Driving Liscense ) on 08.01.11, acknowledgement no.01392, APEF no. 1684475 but the line disconnected again after two days.

    Initially incoming calls were barred now the SIM is inactive.

    What is puzzling is the fact that even though SIM was inactive and I was unable to take calls the customer care informed me that they had called me thrice to confirm my address. How are these calls possible on inactive SIM?

    I did not receive any calls on my alternate no.as well.

    Kindly look into the matter and clarify my doubts.

    I would request you to endeavour and arrange so that I don't need to change the no.

    Hoping for a quick and amiable response.

      Sir,
      Some 10 days back, I registered a complaint agasint AirTel Show Room Chanapora Srinagar, who deliberately or due to negligence deleted my M.No. [protected], but I did not receive any reply from your side whether you have forwarded my complaint to the concerned or not. However I again reproduce my complaint again with this hope that I must get Justice. Sir, I am Manager J & K Bank Chadoora and I am using this Airtel No. [protected] since last 6 or 7 years and as a matter of fact my number is used as official number and circulated among large section of customers as well as official level connected with my job. Sir, on 4th of Jan2011 I went to Airtel ShowRoom Chanapora and filled prescribed form and deposited Rs. 500/- with them as demanded for conversion of this number into postpaid one, and they assured me that within 4 or days your no will be converted into post paid, but after 10 days I came again and asked them why my no. has not not been converted so far..they requested me to give us some 2 days more…. Then again I informed them after 5 days ….. again & again I visted their office but all in vain…..After that my number stopped working and I again went to showroom and insisted them that please give me back my Rs. 500/- and keep my no. as prepaid as it was earlier and finally they assured me that within 3 days your number will be restored.But contiously mynumber comes as “does not exist” for last 15 days. I have met a heavy losses due to their ill attitude and gross negligence. NOW through your forum I claim for loss of Rs. 2,00,000/- (Two lacs) from Airtel to compensate my business setback,weaken my reputation and respect among my organization and valuable clients.
      I expect best response from your side . I know I may not be constrained to use other legal procedures agsint them

        Hi,

        I am Gunjan Gupta. I have a broadband connection on the address - V20/57, DLF Phase III, Gurgaon. My problem is with the wiring of the Airtel landline number - [protected]. The voice quality is extremely poor. There was no fresh wiring done. The wiring already in my room was not even repaired. Further the wire connected to my phone keeps coming out of the phone as there is no lock in the end of the wire. I am not happy with the landline and am planing to shift to some other user in case the problem does not get resolved.

        Hope this get solved.

          Hi,

          I recently got ported from Reliance GSM to Airtel considering it to No.1 telecom provider but it of no use to me as i am not able to receive incoming calls from various network when people try to call my number they get "Please check the number you have dialed".

          I tried to reach Airtel customer care but it is pathtic they keep you on hold and that call is chargable.. Once i got connected to customer care rep.. he told me that he cannot take my complaint as server are upgrading call after 4hrs...

            Complaint Against Airtel DTH for disservice , Harrasment and Illegal Deduction


            I have installed Airtel DTH Consumer ID [protected]. As the DTH was not working I lodged a complaint at [protected] on 10 or 11 Jan ,2011. A Boy came the nest day and tried to set it right and told that temporarily he has set it right but in the evening he will set it right permsanently..He gave mobile no( [protected] ) saying that it was chandigarh office no of Airtel DTH. but within 2-3 minutes the tv stopped working and telephoned him. He told me that now he has an urgent complaint and will come with his serior in the evening to set it right. He did not turn up that day. Next day I again telephoned him and again he told that he was away to Zirakhpur and will defionitely come to my home in the evening. Later in the evening as he did not turn up , I tried to contact him again but the phone was off. For the next 2-3 days I was out of station. On comming back I again telephoned him and this time again he promissed to do the needful after attending the complaint in hand already but He never came to attend to my complaint. I sensed that he was bluffing and I got the TV set right off my own from someone else. Per chance the tv again gave problem after this,. This time again I telephoned him and he told that he was not able to come as he is only one person to attend so many complaints and as I will have to pay Rs 100, it will be better that I get it set right off my own from some other person. I did the same.Today i.e 6-2-11morning again the DTH was not working and I this time lodged complaint at [protected].In the ecening the same boy came and I made him talk to the operator on [protected] and there he admitted that he did not resolve the problem till date as he was not allotted the area in which my house falls.It was on spl request of the company only that he has come.I was surprised to check my account that a sum of Rs. 100/ was deducted from my account for no service at all rather for disservice ans harrasment caused to me and my family by Airtel DTH as my complaint was never resolved. I asked as why this deduction I was told that this is for the visit of their mechanic, I asked that It should not be for the visit but only for service if the company or its representative renders in my case as there is no service rendered rather I was subjected to hassasment , The receiver on[protected] told me to do what ever I wnted to telling that everytime they will register a complaint they will deduct Rs 100 even if they solve it or not.It is very unfare and attracts attention for nfare serce act.

            This is Suresh from kerala. My airtel dth customer id is [protected]. I have paid 3305 rupees through the ivrs for a new connection on friday ie 4th feb. They told me that they will get it installed within 1 day and when i called them back after a day they told me it will be solved in 72 hours.. I dont know whats happening, Afther 3 days still they say they will do it in 24 hours.. now its 5th day and still no one hasnt come.. Two of you customer care executives mr.Kiran and Mr.Roshan.. They are not even ready to give me a complaint number.. Customer care people called me a 1000 times till i have paid . then no response at all.. What the hell is this? .. I would say your customer care sucks and most of them speak only in hindi.. Grow up..

            It is your false claim that my complaint has been redressed. Please donot misguide the others . You lack in service quality and cheat customers by charging rent even when you fail to provide connectivity. If anyone complain you illegally deduct money also and do not provide any serv ice.
            If my complaint is not resolved within one week from today, I will be constrained to file suit / complaint in the consumer forum chandigarh office .

              On 2nd Feb 2011 I ordered AIRTEL DTH HD setup box with 5 month subscription of south value pack for 3105 INR over airtel IVRS. The guy who sold the product told me that installation and services would be up by 3rd Feb. The installation guys came on 4th Feb and completed the instalation by 14:00 hrs and charged me 100 INR for the extra cable and promised me that the services would be up in 1 hour. Today it 6th Feb 2010 and still my services are not started and till now i have spent 10-12 hours on phone with various people from promising me that the service would be in 2 hours. One guys says that my account is not active the other says it is active but pending and lots of things by lots of people. Promises made and broken. I thought of writing to grievances but like thier connection the link on their website is also not working :-). Finally i managed to open that link and sent a email but no response since last 30 hours. i was with tata sky and their service was very very very much better than airtel. we cant even compare. Finally im decided to cancel my connection and switch back to TATASKY. isko laga dala life jingalala.
              POOOOOOOOR POOOR POOR POOR SERVICE FROM AIRTEL WORST CUSTOMER CARE REPS, THEY DONT HAVE AUTHORITY TO SEND EMAIL, THEY DONT HAVE AUTHORITY TO TRANSFER CALL AND THE FUNNY ONE. THEY DONT EVEN KNOW WHO THEIR WASTE CEO IS. LOL

              Well im not going to stop this one, I will file a comlaint againt them in consumer court and may be in court for cheating me and i will request all my friends and dear ones to switch to other service provider.

                I was having Airtel Mobile no [protected], from last 6 years. before 1 week my sim showing registration failed!! so i called up on number to check the status but i shocked some body as picked up and he said he bought this sim one week before..than i called up customer care on 5th February 12:25 PM, as per customer care this number is still on my name. How airtel can give my life time prepaid number to other on my identity.
                I am out of station, when its happened.

                Airtel will bear all consequences if number use in criminal activities.

                And i request airtel, i want my number back otherwise i will go in consumer forum....

                    Sir, I am Ritesh Kumar Singh using Airtel Prepaid and my No. is [protected]. Recently i received a message that hello tune has been activated on you mobile for which i didn't make any request. When i checked my balance i found that a sum of total Rs. 45/- has been deducted. I contacted customer care executive but did not raect on the issue. I contacted cus -care 3-4 times but they keep holding the phone saying that we are gathering information on the complaints and after 15-20 minutes phone cuts automatically. In view of thae above you are requested to take necessary action to refund my money.
                    Thaking you.
                    Airtel is the best mobile company.But their workers are like Customer care officers are thinking that i am CEO or MD of Airtel.Thy didnot know how to talk to their customers. Their socks needed to be pulled up.

                      i want to switch my number from airtel to reliance. My airtel number is [protected]. I given request to relience on 28 jan. And from airtel, my services are barred since 4 feb at 12.00 am. I talk to reliance, they said we not recieved approval from airtel. When i visited to airtel, they told that your number removed from our system. And now my cell shows "sim card registration failure." m not getting proper resolution from airtel. Help me plz

                      Airtel — Not giving MNP

                      I have subscriber of Airtel mobile since 3 years.Since last three months it has become misery staying with Airtel.Thanks for the MNP,but its of no use.I have applied for MNP on 24th of march,but Airtel people didnt gave approval for it.My all the dues were cleared,formalities were completed.The unique code expired on 7th of April due to their negligence/deliberately did not want to give approval.Meanwhile I called more than 15 times to their customer care but all in vain.Noone is interested to solve the problem.

                      I again applied for it on 8th april and today is 18th april.The maximum time commited to process the request is 7 working days.I think according to their calendar 7 days is not over.I made several call to customer care centre but I was told i will be getting the call from their representative...........I am still waiting for that call.
                      This is kind of service Airtel provide.Boasting one of the best mobile operators in India.I request you to please please please help me out to get rid of Airtel.

                        with retailer of airtel i requested for e-recharge of rs.100. he has done it. when checked it was wrongly credited in balance 10 account by airtel. for help contacted 198 who directed to 935 for further help. 935 is out of reach forever. the company should not recharge forcibly to wrong account other main balance and reversion should be done at no extrac cost.

                          I am too facing the same problem, for some astrology pack airtel people have deducted 10 Rs from my account, after several calls to customer care they have refunded and assured me that service is deactivated, but afteronly two days again same message appears and 10Rs. is deducted, and customer care exec. says that i have subscribed to This service and this not there fault.
                          This issue when registered withg senior exec. of customer service they ask to wait 4 24 hours, but no help.

                          For past few months, Airtel is charging Rs.30 per month for a subscription package Mitti Ke Rang. We are still wondering what is this package? We have not subscribed any such package. They charge Rs.30 per month and just inform us via SMS. We are not able to contact on this no.
                          This is my sincere request that Airtel should not add any package without any enquiry directly through phone. They should first ask whether we are interested in such packages or not.
                          We are using broadband of airtel-

                          If they apply such packages without our concern, we are not going to use airtel anymore as we have other options like Hutch, BSNL, MTNL. We want an urgent reply.

                            I've 2 SIMs of Airtel ( 1 Post Paid & 1 Prepaid). Some days back i got an SMS on my pre-paid mobile that a particular service would be activated on this connection & i would be charged accordingly. I was surprised to read this, since i did not ask for it & neither requested for it by sending any SMS.

                            I immediately contacted the Customer Care at 121 ( that call is also chargeable) & the executive confirmed that there is no such request pending with them for activation of any service & hence need not to be worried about. To my surprise, the services were activated on the pre-paid connection on 4.2.2011 even after i received the confirmation from the executive & i was charged accordingly. Now my balance went on negative side.

                            Actually this happened for the 2nd time that the services have been activated without my request & have been charged. In first instant i had a doubt & hence went on to recharge the account to talk to Customer care to discontinue the services immediately. But this time, i was sure that i did not ask for it & hence did not recharged the account. Who knows, BHARTI AIRTEL would again re-activate the service without any request & i'll loose my money.


                            I tried to connect to customer care through the pre-paid but was not successful since i do not have any money in the account.


                            I tried connecting the customer care through the post-paid connection but i was surprised to know that the executive was help less from his side since the call was connected to post-paid customer care section, he cannot retrieve any data for the pre-paid section & BHARTI AIRTEL does not have any facility to transfer the call from post-paid section to Pre-paid section.

                            Instead the executive asked me contact from either land line or other service providers connections.

                            I was really frustrated for this kiosk.

                            In this high tech, competition driven market (not to forget the MNP service) where there are rock bottom call rates & where profit margins are dropping everyday, I must really appreciate BHARTI AIRTEL's effort to keep up their EDIBTA by innovating new ways of making holes into the pockets of the customer by making false deductions.

                            BHARTI AIRTEL is spending millions in buying assets worldwide ( BHARTI AIRTEL has services in Africa, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka) but is forgetting its home country, where they have grown from scratch to a multi million dollar MNC.


                            I will not become poor by such false deduction (b'coz now i'm not going to re-charge the account again but instead return the SIM with the official complaint) but think how much revenues BHARTI AIRTEL would be generating from such false deductions if they start (No doubt they must have already started) such false deductions from atleast 50% of their customer every now & then.

                            Other Service Providers,..........learn new ways from BHARTI AIRTEL to keep up your top line.

                              I am to bring it to your notice that since last one month my account balance has been reduced automatically by activating VAS services without my knowledge.I have lost almost Rs.40/- rupees

                              when I contacted customer care the person disconnected the mobile. I have tried once de-activating the services but the same are being activated again.

                              I have been using this airtel number for past 7 years and never faced a problem of this type on this number but from last one month .

                              I would anticipate a satisfactory response from ur side and would like that the lost amount is credited to my account

                              Airtel prepaid mobile service — automatically activate the value added service

                              i am jayanta misra and my aritel mobile no is [protected].
                              on the date[protected] i see an amount of Rs.6.00/- was deducted from my main mobile balance. but i can't activate any value added service from my moblie.
                              but when i ask for sms report details from customer care DATE:[protected] TIME - 9:24 and NAME:-SURAJIT DAS (customer care operator) just ignore my call.
                              So, i request to take any action against the company (AIRTEL mobile service)

                              i would to bring it to your kind notice that since last one month my account balance has been eroded automatically by activating silly VAS services without my knowledge.i have lost almost 100 rupees and currently my bal is rs. (-)7.75

                              when i contacted customer care the person was so rude that it seemed that i have committed a crime by taking an airtel connection.

                              i had been using airtel for past 1 year and never faced a problem but from last one month or so my balance is being deducted for no rhyme or reason and receive msg that some VAS service has been activated which i never allowed to be activated.

                              i am from a very humble background and keep cell phone for emergency only. i cannot afford such indiscriminate deduction.

                              i would like a satisfactory response from ur side and lost balance credited to my account on account of silly VAS services which i would hv never activated if given a choice.

                              or else nw i would hv to switch to other service providers as new mnp has arrived.

                                I am an Airtel customer. Access to 0.facebook.com is of free of charges, as stated by Airtel, but still they are charging for it. When I have zero balance it keeps on working without any charges being deducted from my balance but when my balance is good enough, I am being charged for it and I end up having a zero balance. I called up at the Customer care, and here are the replies I got with different calls:
                                1. Only m.facebook.com was of free access and that too until August 31, 2010.
                                2. There is no such service by airtel that provides You with a free access.
                                3. Only the Home page is free of cost to access and not the entire 0.facebook.com !
                                My access point is set to Airtel Live, so could You please explain it to me how amazingly it works free of cost when I'm on zero balance if You've provided me with above mentioned arguments !!
                                I am sorry to say but Airtel is no longer providing a good service to the customers. The complaints are not being addressed to properly. I chose Airtel because at some point of time it was the best network, but I don't think so any longer !

Also, as I have observed, most of the Airtel customers have this problem, therefore it would be great that rather than addressing it individually for each customer, You please handle it in a mass redressal way.                                 I would like to bring it to your attention that on 8th march, 2011 between 11 am - 1 pm a sum of Rs. 56.30 was deducted from my account. I called up at the customer care to enquire about it but they said their records did not show why the charges were deducted from my balance. Till date I have received no answer from them. I would request You to look into the matter please.
                                Also my previous complaint hasn't been resolved either. I'm still paying for 0.facebook.com

MY BALANCE WAS REUCED BY RS99/-. IN EARLIER INSTANCE WITHOUT MY CONSENT "HELLO TUNES" WAS PROVIDED AND AMOUNT WAS DEBITED. AFTER TALKING TO CUSTOMER SERVICE IT WAS RE CREDITED. AFTER THAT I REQUESTED AIRTEL TO STOP SENDING BUSINESS SMS TO MY MOBILE WHICH ARE DISTURBING MY TIME. I AM SENIOR CITIZEN &65 YEARS OLD. PLEASE ARRANGE TO RE CREDIT THE AMOUNT DEBITED.
                                    Yes, My Mobile No.is [protected] and Airtel is also deducting Rs.30/- without any pre intimation. These charges usually deducted in the mid of night when user is sleeping. the code no for mobile is "58558". Many time I have unsubscribed this unusual deduction but no way.

                                      I want to tell that i was called up by a company representative of Rajan & company 42(98), Arhat Bazar Dehradun [protected], I think they are linked to airtel. My problem is that they have collected my document and 500 cash in concern with joining airtel but they have not responded me whats the status of my MNP request moreover they are not picking up the phone they had mentioned.

                                      Kindly tell me what should i do i was not expecting this from airtel. Kindly look into this ASAP.

                                        I shifted from Venus Appts. in Pitampura.Delhi by the end of Oct.2010 and paid the last bill for airtel broadband fixed line services till Nov. 5, 2010.My tel. no. was [protected] at paschim vihar and [protected] at venus appts. A request for cancellation was made on 24 oct,2010 &again on 28 oct,2010 vide request no. 385608 & 393856 as the airtel does not have any network in the area where I have shifted i.e. sector 23,ROHINI DELHI.Since then I am getting calls after calls & messages after messages asking for cofirmation of my request for cancellation,wheather I want to transfer my ownership to someone I know and bills for the periods after my shifting for which airtel has failed to provide any services and the services which I never availed.Recently. the frequency of calls has increased to 3 to 4 times a day.I am 66 yrs. old person, a patient of high B.P and high blood sugar. My B.P. rises immediately after their calls and sms's.I am sure to die of heart attack if I keep on getting these annoying calls & sms's.I have enjoyed the services for a long time and never delayed the payment even once.If any responsible person from airtel is reading my complaint, please do the needful.
