Axis Bank — fake Consolidated Charges for A/c

I have an salry account. Now it is 30 th March 2009 suddenly 1150+ 118.45 rupees deducted from my Acount as consolidated charges for A/c+ serves tax, & my account having good ballance.

The same thing happen with me also, they deduct 1600Rs from my account, when i asked them why this happen they told me this is RBI's new guideline under which you have only 3 transaction allow in a month.

If transaction increase by 3 then you will charge 50Rs per transaction.
How much it is true I don't know?

Can some one help me in that? From where I get this guideline.

do these guys follow any legal government code of conduct or not...
they deducted rs. 800 from my account without communicating any thing.

lets take it to a consumer court and make them bleed...
my bank account is my property...how can they take money out of it without my agreement.

I have a salary account...And yesterday - 30th of march, 2009, Axis bank have deducted Rs.362.50 as consolidated charges + 37.64 as servise tax ...all without my consent...I dont know whats happenening ...I AM A MIDDLE CLASS GUY and the above amount which has been cut means a lot to me...

i'm having a Salary account in Axis bank. Just now i checked my balance, they have deducted 1000 as consolidated charges and service tax 103 rs..
After entering into this forum, i saw somany people as like me. So any body does have any idea to complaint against this to RBI..

Axis bank Is one of the slowest bank, Most of the public sector banks are much better than it. I am also facing the same shock from the bank, Debited my account by 450 plus 10% service tax. I have also decided move to RBI and consumer court against this issue because no body is picking the phone in axis bank i am having my account at defence colony branch. I swear I will sue them they are making fool us. I am also suggesting my company to remove axis as its salary banker and move to another..

i bear a savings account in axis bank.about a month back by mistake i failed take 1000 bucks from a south India bank atm machine as a result it went back inside and i was assured that it would be credited back within 40 days, but thanks to axis bank nothing has been done yet.Another problem which happened is an amount of rs 1250 has been cut without informing me against consolidated charges.people if you have any idea regarding any thing then please do inform me on [protected]@yahoo.com, thats my e-mail id.thankyou

Hi Friends, I am having an Axis Bank Salary account at Kolkata. On 30th May 2009 the bank has deducted of Rs. 2865.80 form my account as Consolidated Charge. When I have visited to my branch they are not able to tell me the cause of the deduction.

Please help me for get the momey back.

Got no comments, I had a deduction of Rs 4600 + taxes. what for got no idea...says the same thing, consolidated charges a/c 4600 + taxes

I have a saving account in axis bank and recently my balance has been cut of Rs. 4268 and 10.30% tax on that again Rs. 426 stating consolidated charges...

There is no information regarding this charges in their site and i dont know y my so much money has been deducted.

Axix bank also cut down my 1654 bugs from my savings account from first time in 8 years of banking. Anyone have explanation of this?

Yes, I m also trapped by the same problem. My salary account is with Axis Bank, Vadodara.
Rs. 3663 has been cut off from my account under header of "Consolidated charges". I checked with bank, but they are saying they haven't received any details of the deduction. They told me to meet on 2nd Apr, 2009 (i.e. tomorrow)..
Hey Prabith, can u tell me what response you got from customer care over there ?
Are they saying maximum 3 transactions from ATMs other than Axis bank ?

Such rules are never mentioned in their website or anything else... This is ridiculous.. they have our money so they can do anything with them... i dont trust any private banks now.

saving a/c — Consolidated charges

My a/c no. is [protected] and from my a/c there were a deduction of Rs. 300 as a consolidated charges. My a/c Is opened in Mirzapur Branch (U.P.).
Kindly provide me the detail of deduction otherwise i will post a complain in cosumer foroume against the bank.

I have also saving account with AXIS and i noticed Rs, 1150 and 10 % service tax over this has been debited from my account on 30/03/2009 without my knowledge in the name of "Consolidated Charges for A/c" . While opening account, i had no idea of "Consolidated Charges for A/c " and even i have never heard of this kind of charges with other banks. So, this is rediculous and i have raised a complaint with axis, needing an explanation for "Consolidated Charges for A/c ".

So, lets get together and raise this issue at national level. Because, amout in terms of THOUSANDS is huge and painful who works hard to save some money for rainy days.

I have a salary account in Axis Bank and Rs 571.95 was deducted from my account. Service tax amounting to 58.91 was also deducted, stating consolidated charges.

This was not informed earlier to us, that this amount will be deducted from our account.

Can we get clear clarification, about this consolidated charges.

The reply I got from the customer care is very funny. The customer care executive was saying 3 transaction includes 'Third Party Transfer', "ATM Transaction', Cheque Collection everything. I confirmed about each and every transaction, the executive was saying 'Yes', "yes'. As per the executive it doesnt related to the Other ATM's other than axis bank, because I have a gold debit card, inwhich withdrawal from any ATM is permitted and the charge levied will be reversed. It means, if you are having a salary transfer account, the best way to escape from the consolidated charges is to give a standing instruction to transfer the money to some other branch once the salary is credited. Even then you will make two transactions per month as per Axis Bank's norms :-).

Many of my collegues have got the same issues. How about complaining to Banking Ombudsman?
