[Resolved]  BSNL IPTV/MYWAY — Money Refund &Failure.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I D.Laxman Rao Age 59yrs belongs from Hyderabad City residing in DD Colony. On 13th June 2009 We had booked IPTV Connection Application Number : 008610 of BSNL(MYWAY) Product from SMART DIGIVISION PVT LTD, Hyderabad DSA OF BSNL. We paid them Cheque Amt: Rs1, 500/- and as per their Words Installation will be done by 19th June 09. They even told me that if we are not happy with the Connection they will refund that amount in two days. But till today there is no Connection nor they are refunding my amount.

My Cheque got realised and My Payment Details as Follows.

I used a radical approach to get the local Management's attention. Mr. VS Narasimhan who is the Territory Sales Manager personally dropped by and spent half an hour with me trying to understand the various problems that his sales team is encountering and promised me that he will plug some of the communication gaps that exist within. I even gave him a print out of this webpage that had complaints from so many of you and he promised me that he will speak to each one of you to address the problems soon.

He was kind enough to personally process my refund cheque owing to the problems that they are facing from BSNL (which is delaying the connection). He personally dropped by to my office this morning and handed me a cheque.

i deposited the money by cheque of Rs 1500 to your account and it was refundable if we disconnect the service in three months. we call your call-centre and they say the refundable cheque will be post to you in 1 month but now on there are 2months we dose not receive any cheque from you. so please look into this matter so we can get our money back. we already disconnected your service.

Hi, I've been getting calls everyday from BSNL for IPTV connection @ KPHB colony. I'm bit excited about the IPTV and its offerings. I asked them to install tomorrow but looking at all the above comments I'm thinking twice. Can someone advise me the FINAL Word - YES/NO ? Has anyone till date experianced BSNL - IPTV ?

What is the latest experince after the teething troubles.
Is the transmission of channel is good or bad.

I am to inform that after constant calling from you Hyderabad branch, I have booked IPTV connection on 31.10.2009 vide application No.10035464 by paying Rs.1, 500/- (Rs. fifteen hundred only). On my persuant contacting your Gurgoan Call centre, I got the said connection on 31.01.2010. Before taking connection, I promised to give all telugu channels, which you company has not fulfilled. Immediately, I requested your call centre to disconnect the IPTV connection and return my amout (Rs.1500/-) immediately. Even after lapse of two months, you have not returned the my amount. Please consider my request and return my amount early.

I am to inform that after constant goading from your branch at Hyderabad, I booked your IPTV connection on 31.10.2009 vide application No.10035464 through cheque bearing No.91622 dt.31.10.2009 for Rs.1, 500/- (Rupees fifteen hundred only). Even after lapse of three months and on my constant calling to your calling centre, IPTV connection was given on 31.01.2010. You co. has not giving all telugu channels as promised. On that I requested to disconnect the connection and return my amount. Till today (i.e)24.3.2010, neither I have received my amount nor any communication from your side. Being a very happy and satisfied customer of BSNL and DataOne for many years, I subscribed for BSNL IPTV in November, 2009 when I was offered a 3 month free trial by BSNL. I paid Rs.1500 in cheque which I was told will be refunded if I wish to cancel my IPTV subscription anytime in these 3 month period. I thought it was an offer from BSNL and didn’t know it involved a third party called “MyWay”.

Eventhough most of the reviews here about BSNL IPTV were negetive, advicing me not to go for it, I opted for this only because: Firstly it was free for 3 months to try, Secondly I would get my old Dataone modem (Type-I with only one USB and one RJ-45 slot) exchanged for a new Type-II modem(4 RJ-45 slots and wireless) for Rs. 400 extra.

My plight with MyWay:
1. In Nov 2009, MyWay executive came very promptly to collect the cheque on the same day I called for IPTV. This is the only time they responded promptly. I filled and signed on the application form, and also another form requesting for replacement of my old modem with Type-II modem agreeing to pay the difference amount of Rs.400.
2. Wrong commitment: I was misinformed by this MyWay executive that
a) installation will take 4 days,
b) the cheque I gave will be encashed after 3 months, only if I wish to continue the subscription beyond the free 3 months period, and only after taking my phone consent
c) the difference amount of Rs. 400 for modem replacement will be reflected in my BSNL bill and I can pay them.
3. After a week, I called MyWay customer care, and I was told that it will take one -two weeks. I asked for cancellation of my a/c . But, surprisingly my cheque was encashed on the same day I called (on 25th Nov 2009 SBI Chq.No.294272 encashed for Rs.1, 500.00).
4. On 27th Nov 2009(Complaint No. 0001) I called your customer care to know the status of my cancellation, I was told that my cheque is encashed and they got the money, but there is some problem with financial dept. and so my connection can’t be installed. My amount will be refunded in a month. I got angry, but I could do nothing but wait for my refund.
5. Since then, I was waiting for my refund. But surprisingly on 12th Dec 2009 MyWay technician came for installation and installed IPTV with new Set-top box using our old Type-I modem which has only one LAN port. He didn’t get the Type-II modem though I signed the form for modem replacement with new Type-II unit, on the very first day. So, now we can’t have internet and IPTV both simultaneously. I now have either internet or IPTV any one at a given time. I being a software executive, I can’t disconnect my internet. So, IPTV is as good as not installed. He promised for Type-II modem in 4 days.
6. On repeated calling, on 5th Jan 2010 (after one more month) Type-II modem was delivered at my home by some BSNL lineman. But, to my surprise, I am told that I’ll be charged an amount of Rs.1600 for this modem rather than the difference Rs.400 as promised earlier.

Seeing all these prolonged delay, wrong commitments, and misinformation from customer care, I got thoroughly discouraged by Myway service and decided to get rid of Myway service and take my refund money Rs.1500.
7. On 5th Feb, 2010 I called Myway customer care and requested for cancellation of my service. I was told to email a request for cancellation to [protected]@myway.in, and I’ll be getting a confirmation call from them soon. I mailed a detailed request for cancellation mentioning all the agony I have experienced.
8. On 12th Feb, 2010, having got no calls from Myway, I called them to know the status. I was told that they don’t have access to check emails and they need to raise a request for cancellation. So, my cancellation request was given on 12th Feb Req No. 0003
9. On 15th Feb, Myway fellow called me and asked for recharging my a/c. They don’t even know that I asked for cancellation. He asked the reason, I explained him all the story and also told that I’ve been charged Rs.1600 for the modem by BSNL. He said he’ll be mailing a letter to my email and I need to show that at BSNL office to get the refund and also asked if he could send anyone for collecting the recharge amount. I said first let me get modem amount refunded. As expected, the email never came and I had to pay the BSNL bill with late charges waiting for his mail.
10. On 19th March, 2010 I called Myway to know the status of termination. Ahmed escalated my issue and said in maximum 1 week they'll take the setup box and return the refund amount as cheque in 3-7days.

11. On 3 April 2010: I called Myway and talked to Nikhil. He said he’ll forward the issue on priority basis. I made it clear that I have completely lost faith in Myway and that they have to give a post-dated cheque for the refund before I handover the set-top box to them.

All the calls and emails are going to deaf ears. They dont even bother about them.

Till date, no one from myway has ever bothered to call me. They called me only once and that was to remind me to recharge my account.

1. The Rs.1500 I paid in cheque to them.
2. The Rs.1600 for Type-II modem, which they said will be refunded by BSNL

why my connection is showing suspended when the payment is already cleared my account.

Amazing service was with some mr raja and he could not solve my problem, he said your cheque is showing collected but dont know why it is suspened, pls email scanned copy of your cheque, i told him i dont have email access and scanner, still he insisted in me doing a mail, i told him again i dont have a mail access right now, he disconnected the phone by saying thankyou.

I am surprised by this behaviour of myway ip tv, i will put this on all the possible consumer blogs and will save them from this harrasment.

i paid for this service and what i see since last two hours is a blue screen showing the myway ip tv logo.

pathetic service guys, it is competetive environment and to survive this is the type of service you offer.

IPTV Digivision (BSNL) — Default on all commitments

I am the one suffering as all the people who have complaints for the same company.

I have got the IP TV installed at my home day before yesterday with many commitments as Full refund if you are not satisfied within 48 hrs, a second tv can be run on the same connection, better quality of service etc, but all are just fake....

No commitment stood when I wanted the company to take off connection.

I applied for 249 connection but got the feedback that the connection is 444 monthly, my complaint was registered as 0001 for correctiong the same to 249. Again when I called the salesman, the feedback was that it should be 249 otherwise he will correct the same.

Again I lodged a complaint after consulting salesman that single port modem can be given with TV in place of same modem being used for Broadband and the TV. The complaint no was again 0001. This complaint was completed without a confirmation by the customer ie me.

For cancelling the connection, the refund promise failed as the customer care executive directly negated the same. Even the salesman stopped taking my phone call and keeps on cancelling it.

It is my serious request not to go for the same. This company fails to honour a single commitment they make.

I am another recent victim; they encashed my chequefor Rs.1900; another gave connection but it didnt work; he wanted me to change the moden, wiring etc. When I contacted BSNL people they said they have nothing to do with IPTV and that there is nothing wrong with my modem. Since then I am trying to contact the customer no. etc. but in vain. I shall be thankful if someone gives me the postal address of IPTV office in Hyderabad.

I am one of the IPTV victim. It worked only few hours after installation. It is almost 3 years story. I want my money with interest. I made several calls to their Hyderabad office and also send the mail to their head office at Gurgaon. They want their modem back first and after one week they want send the cheque. But I am demanding them to come with a cheque for the amount I paid with interest to hand over the modem. This is going on last one year or so.
