I, Hardik Patel was the employee of HDFC BANK LTD, Ahmedabd. I joined this organisation on 1st january,2009 in the team of Ankit Mahadevia (SALES MANAGER) and Abhishek Sarin (AREA SALES HEAD) as Contract Sales Executive. (Liabilities group)

Abhishek Sarin told me that you join the system from the very first day and your employee code come in 20 to 25 days. I started my business from the very first day and my boss given my business to another my coligue, and told me that when your code will come he give your business back.

After 1 month he told me that your salary approval for 11500 not accepted by higer authority. then he submitted my joining kit to salary account department. but after 20 days they told me your code was not generated by higher authority.

After that my boss told me now you are in not my team you are in another AREA SALES HEAD named SIDDHARTH DAS. Then i meet him and he promised me that i give you code in 15 days and i also give you full salary.But after another 1 month he give me my appointment letter for the salary of 8500p.m..

And also told that I am giving you the salary of current month not last 3 months. I told him that if you are not giving me last 3 months salary i don't want to continue in your organisation. Then i went to ABHISHEK SARIN and told the whole metter but he was not intrested to do something for me, so i told that i complained about you and SIDDHARTH DAS so he told me that you do onething first you open the salary account on the basis of appointment letter and give me the account number. I arranged something and giving you the salary but till date nothing would be credited. I ofently called him up for my salary but he told me all time next month your salary would be credited. but from last 15 days he didn't pick up my phon.


please do something for me.

I am in trouble and i need the money.

HDFC Bank has also cheated me by not giving salary for the last 4 months also. The sales officer name was MR. Vishnu from Ameerpet branch. He said that he has my PAN card and will track me down since I have complained against him for not giving salary. I have recorded that phone call. I am very scared and want legal help. Please advise.

    Hi,
    I have Value Plus Visa Card of HDFC Credit Card which I have never used or swapper a single penny ever but bank has issued me a notice of Rs.11783.05 and when I approached the contact person in notice Ms. Swati Nigam, she is not ready to hear my any words and only replied that when you take the service then you shall pay the whole amount and I can't give you any details regarding swapping or any more and after that I approached to customer care of HDFC Credit Card Division and he only replied me that I have noted your complaint and noted my mobile no. also and said the collection team approached you within 24/48 hours but no one can approached me yet. Please help me to out the situation.

      My Self Atul Verma

      I am HDFC BANK credit card customer. I am holding this card since last one year. Initially bank gave me Silver card of there bank and after some time bank upgraded my card to Gold credit card and I believe that because of my good credit history.
      I made my last payment of 20,000 in july with alldues cleared.

      I purchased some item in August, That's the amount which is still pending

      Because there is some outstanding on my card an HDFC bank recovery representative keep calling me for the same. I told them i will pay the amount next month with late fees and other charges
      and bank have full right to that.

      Now sir, situation that, recovery representative keep calling me and harassing me mentally as i am a Defaulter. As I had already request them but,they do not understand. Now they keeping calling me in odd hours and sending the recovery agent at my residence in absence of me after office timing. This kind of attitude makes me mentally harassed and I am mentally disturbed. Because of this kind of bank attitude my family life is disturbed.

      A Person named Sumit from HDFC BANK recovery department office at Rajouri Garden New Delhi, called at my residence talk to my mother in harsh way. His mobile number is [protected].

      Credit Card — Disturbance by Recovery Agent

      Inspite of talking to the Citi Bank Customer, the recovery agent called at my home and shouted at my parents. Though i talked with the Citi Bank executive asked her to call to confirm the time and place for collection of Rs 1300 as per banks requirement.
      Now inspite of complaining to them about the disturbance they said they had done the right thing and will not ask for any apology.

      Dear Sir/ Madam

      These day we are badly harassed by the one recovery agent named Ms. Manisha. She used to call me, my college head (principal) and my all the neighbour.On daily basis we got a call from that lady through Ph. No- [protected] and listen the abusive word.
      Earlier she want the ph no of my son, saying that he has taken a loan and not paying EMI. I have given the no of my son and tell her to call him. My son has given the assurance to pay all the dues as his financial position comes on track but she is not satisfied to him saying pay all amount today at any cost.
      Now she started to disturb us and useing illicit and abusive word. We feel this is very unlawful thing since we are not responsible of any deed of my son at delhi. We are living in very remote area of bihar and not knowing anything.
      So we request to you kindly do something to stop it.

      I m not able to pay minimum due amount due to my bad financial condition i am paying minimum due since 3-4 years but my out standing is not decreasing.



      Sir this is my humble request to you that pls convert my all out standing in a personal loan

      with emi for 24 month so that i can pay the out standing in easy installments.



      i have all ready requested to customer care many times but they are saying offer not available if you can not provide me some emi option,I unable to pay your outstanding amount. If you do not provide me any kind of solution i have only way left that i can stop sending minimum dues amount and ask for settlement which is not good for me as well. Nobody wants to be a defaulter but in current scenario i have only two options to pay emi for converted in loan or be a defaulter by doing settlement with the bank instead of paying minimum dues of my card as my financial condition is not good.

      I am very old customer of HDFC bank and hope you will definitely provide me some way out so that i can easily pay my outstanding to being a good customer of the bank.

        HDFC standard life insurance — Non issuance of licence

        It has been 5 months since I wrote the IRDA examination,after which I was declared to have passed the exam.On requesting the branch manager,banshankari branch,bangalore,to give me my licence which he recieved from IRDA,he refused to do so stating that I may shift the branch.Upon insting for the licence he threatened saying that he would terminate my licence.
        Kindly help me in this situation.

          I have availed person loan from HDFC bank in July -2003 amounting to Rs. 1 lacs. I was regularly paying EMI but I lost my job in jan 2004 onwards and I was unemployed for next 6 months. In Oct-2005, I settled the amount with bank of my pending amount to Rs. 22,000/- through their DSA/ Agent. And i have been given cash receipt.

          Few days back I applied for an AUTO LOAN and I came to know that my name is in negative database of CIBIL and on enquiring the same I came to know that there is still outstanding against Personal Loan a/c of Rs. 42,000 with HDFC Bank. I visited to HDFC bank, ITO 2nd Floor Branch and met Mr Rishabh Jain and narrated him all the story. He asked for that cash receipt but unfortunately after 4 years I didn’t have receipt with me as I shifted to other place. He advised me to settle the amount. After showing him my real circumstances and agent dealing with me he advised me to deposit Rs. 26000 (Rupees Twenty Six thousand only) against full and final settlement. This time I requested him to give me the letter assuring that the bank will issue me NOC and request letter to CIBIL for the removal of my name from negative data base. He issued me the letter same date for settlement, and I have given him cheque of Rs. 26000/- against full and final settlement against the disputed amount and the same has been cleared from my account on 1st sept-09. Although I already settled it but due to non-availability of receipt, I could not argued on the same. i have received the account closure letter from hdfc bank too.

          Now i have settled the said amount with the bank despite that BANK is not liable to remove my name from NEGATIVE / DEFAULTER from CIBIL LIST. On contacting bank advised me to approach directly to CIBIL for removal of my name. Note that bank had already written off my outstanding (which in no case was on my account) but they are smart enough to put my name in negative data base list of CIBIL. but when it comes to removal nothing has been done in this matter. i cannot avail any kind of loan forever despite clearing my outstanding dues. if such kind of regulations are in process then soon court and such organisation rules the people of India. However, i requested by mail to CIBIL authority to look into the matter and i hope so if some solution will come into picture.

          Another interesting story i have come to know that if someone else taken loan BY FRAUD in your name then its not him, your name will be suffer for long life in the NEGATIVE DATABASE OF CIBIL LIST. Sin is done by someone and you have to pay for life long. What a law and regulations!!!!!

            Dear Sir/Madam

            My name is Jithesh Nair and I have Trading and Demat account with Hdfc Securities. On successful logging into hdfcsec.com sometime during August 2009, I was forced to change my password- which I did successfully. Ever since the password change I was not able to login to my securities account.

            For finding out more on this I contacted HDFC Securities Customer support representative and mentioned my problem and checked with them the procudure for changing my address and password reset on August 17th 2009. I along with my subsequent mail to the customer support team sent across my scanned copied of my Passport, drivers licence, voter Id etc to enable them to make changes to my Address.

            Since then I have been sending mails to them on a regular basis with little or no response from their side. I had to make arrangement for meeting my family financial emergencies through sale of my stocks.

            I am surprised and dont know what to do inorder to resolve this problem, I have also been trying to get in touch with some responsible person at HDFC Securities but their site does not have any details pertaining to managing customer grievance.

            I thought this would be the best forum to address my problem, Hope someone takes a look at it and initiate necessary actions.

              Hold my saving a/cs funds by HDFC
              Hold my Salary a/c funds by HDFC
              Hdfc Salary account no [protected] got hold my funds by hdfc credit card division.

              Hi Indian Consumer Forum.

              My HDFC salary account no [protected] has been locked by HDFC creadit card division.all my accounts funds goes on hold. I am not able to do any transaction.

              I called lot of times to credit card division of HDFC bank, but they are not responding & not gave me right information.they are misguide me.

              They have applied lot o[censored]nusual amount on my credit card, lot of finance & services charges.

              I am getting in Problem for my daily transaction.

              They applied me 47000/ rs amount, but I have used only 40% amount of credit card.

              Please help me regarding release my funds,which is hold by hdfc credit card cell.

              HDFC Bank — my fund is on hold

              i hv a/c in HDFC bank last 8th month at byclla branch a/c no [protected] current a/c.has been locked by HDFC credit card department division. at 12 01 2010 16.00 pm my a/c fund goes on hold. I am not able to do transation. My brother name is same (noorali) and he was not liveing with us.On13.01.2010 at 2.30 pm. I show my Rastion card, pan card,Address prof my photo at HDFC bank at byclla branch.Branch maneger Miss Priya madam, she had scane all my detail to mr jayesh he is in HDFC bank recovry department phone no [protected] moblie no [protected]. He told to priya madam & me that we will release your amount which we have hold to your a/c. On 18.01 2010 mis or miss swati (HDFC bank recovry deparatment) told me that we will not release your amount & spoke with raff langvg & told me that what you have to do. whatever i have spoked with bank saff I have recorded 1st to last. I have make a CD player.
              I request you to help me & give me a result as soon as posible.

                last year in march 08 there were some unknown amount /transaction appeared on my monthly statement, for which i asked the proof of voucher and HDFC reversed those transaction as they were not having any proof. Then they reissued me a new card wihout asking me and charged me for that in next statement which i never paid.
                Then after six month the same charges again appeared on my monthly stetment without any preinformation to me. when i asked agin for proof they dint provided the proof and concontinued to charge the finance charges. which was really a shock to me. they neither proided me the proof. HDFC customer service is very irresponsible they do not handle the cases in a professional manner they never care whats customers frustation but they just use the words which have been tought to them. i called them lot of time that the charges are incorrect and provide me the proof then i can pay but they were just deaf to listen / understand my request .i was just asking for proof and never got the same Then after 5 months i asked them to block my card. and till today they are continuing to charging me the finance charges + late fee every month they send the statement even after the card is fully blocked. Kindly help me for this

                I am your credit cast customer for the past 2.5 years. I have received the December'09 statement and pay Rs.3, 000/- against that statement. In that statement you have debited Rs. 500/- as overlimit charges. I just want to know the overlimit. If you includes the interest in my over limit, if suppose, Why? As per your statement the over limit comes around 950/- (inclusive of all taxes). For that amount you are debiting Rs.500/- . More than 55% (what is this). So, I humbly request you to reverse the Over Limit amount of Rs.500/- as debited by you.

                I received my July month statement in this there is transaction dated 06/02/2011, jet air ways [protected] mumbai, amount 4782.00 i dispute this transaction and request to make the ivestigation and revert back about the transaction details.
                In spite of this i have cleared the total amount due (1, 02, 542.13)

                  I had been the employee of HDFC Bank ltd for past 5 yrs & I have resigned recently from the company last month.Before leaving the organisation I had vested my espos allotted to me by the company.I exercised my remaining 300 shares under organisations scheme ESOP 2007 at grant price 630.60 in the month of july'09.While applying I was informed by bank system by default about the exact amount for the purchase of share including FBT amount that was of total amount Rs.227265 including FBT amount of Rs.38085.

                  Now When I was credited with my shares in my account bank is asking for funding of my salary account with amount of Rs. 37000 more for direct debit towards the recovery of tax on perquisite.
                  My query is to clarify & to understand the concept of prequisite tax as even after paying FBT why am I suppose to pay additional perqusite tax as well.
                  Please confirm whether I am suppose to actually pay this perquisite tax over an above FBT or not.

                    Hi,

                    This is Rakhi Mukherjee, from Kolkata. Nowadays I am facing a big problem regarding my HDFC credit card account. Actually I have taken a Credit Card from HDFC back last year. I was using the card as well as making the payment for the same till FEB'09. But on FEB'09 I went to Mumbai due to some official work. While moving to Mumbai I lost my purse on the train itself, but I didn’t know where it has been lost. The credit card along with the Official I Card and few documents also lost. After that I have forwarded a mail to HDFC bank stating the current status, didn’t get a single reply from them. Even if I didn’t get a single collection or reminder call from their collection department. I was thinking also to make a settlement of the account as it was really getting a headache. But suddenly on this month (i.e. SEP'09) I was supposed to withdraw my salary from my salary account on 7th SEP'09, co-incidentally it was a also an account from HDFC. But when I checked my salary it was showing pending in Ledger Balance. Then I have confirmed from my office that my salary has been processed from them and from my office I have been informed that may be due to some banking issue its getting delay in crediting. After two day crossed, seeing that I am not able to withdraw my salary, I called up phone banking of HDFC. I have been informed that it may be a Credit Card holding but they would call me up within 24 HRS with the relevant reason. After getting No Response from them after 24HRS I went to my HDFC branch.They also were not able to clarify me the reason also committed to call me back within a span of time. On the same day I got a call from my Branch at 8:30pm stating that "it may be a Credit Card holding, as they also don’t know the reason for the same". Also they asked me to contact with their Credit Card department. I have done the same very next day. I went their Credit card section at Gilender House, Dalhousi, Kolkata-1. They confirmed that it is a Credit Card holding has been done by them only as I had a Credit Card with a different account with my name. Then I approached for a settlement as I also wanted to close the chapter, but they told me that they would not do the settlement as they have already got my salary on hold. I requested to them to release my salary after doing a settlement, i make them realize my current financial condition as I am the only earning member of my family and this is the month DURGA PUJA, so my salary is very much needed as some expectation my family has on me. After couple of days I again visited the Credit Card branch on today regarding the settlement. I talked with Archita Biswas, Avijit and Tapan, concerned person of Credit Card. Again they told me that they wont do the settlement, instead of that they charged me to give the full salary for this month (Rs 12000) and Rs 10000 more with four PDC of my current account. This to make you informed that my total outstanding of my account was near about Rs 20000. I requested them many times for the settlement but instead of doing this they talked with me in very sarcastic way.

                    This is to bring you kind notice that, I also spoken in my office to change my salary account or to process my salary in Cheque but as per their policy it is not at all possible. Means I would be working month on month and would not be able to withdraw my salary as from HDFC they have informed me that they would take the total money of Rs 22000, after that only they would release my salary account. Kindly see my condition that due to HDFC, I won’t be able to continue my JOB. They are hampering my personal as well as my career or professional life. And trust me if they are not releasing my account I have to leave my JOB only, I don’t have a single option other than that. I would be JOBLESS for this HDFC bank


                    Would request you to look my issue and kindly revert with the proper resolution as early as possible as I am really in a pathetic mental condition. I would be glad if you kindly resolve my issue.

                      My complaint is 583rd according to your own listing, and now I don't doubt why it could be so!
                      I opened an account in HDFC Bank on MG Road next to my location of business thinking that it would be very convenient operationally, but within a week they shifted to a location which is so inconvenient that it requires half an hour to reach and 40 minutes to return. The plans for shifting may not have been taken within a week, they never informed me and there could be so many other customers like me who were kept in dark about their plans.
                      There was another branch further down the road on 18th June road, they could have just suggested that I could open my account there.
                      It seems that all they are concerned about having an account in their credit and whether the customer is put thru inconvenience is non of their concern.

                      Then they make a claim that one can operate through any branch, which is so untrue as per my own experience.
                      1. I issued bearer cheques to my employees so that they could withdraw the money from the closest branch, but the branch on 18th June Road refused to give money and asked them to go the the branch in Pato. I had to call up 3 - 4 people to get this sorted.
                      2. Next came the request for cheque book - one cannot make it at any branch, you have to go the branch where you hold the account. Again had to make 2-3 calls and the lady who was assisting had to speak to her manager to be able to accept the request.
                      3. I had made clear that the cheque book was required on a urgent basis and have it delivered at 18th June Road branch for which I was informed that i would have to collect it from Pato branch only as my account is there.
                      4. The icing on the cake is that I receive a message yesterday - "Your cheque book has been sent to MG Road branch on $var4.(cant understand what that means) Pls get in touch with the nearest branch - HDFC Bank." Today when I go to Pato branch to collect my cheque book, they tell me that it has been despatched to my mailing address which is in Mysore! And the best part the person who had called me asking me not to shift my account to 18th June Road branch and dum dumed about any branch operation and blah blah is asking me to get it from Mysore. There is no value for customers time and inconvienence they cause.
                      The Branch Manager was making a show that he was going to go meet customers and do some PR work but ignoring and giving no solution to the person who has a complaint and sitting right in front of him.
                      My request is that there should be an independent body appointed by the government to monitor the atrocities and irregularities being done by these private bank, where the customers are being charged and being misled with false claims of services being offered. A rating systems should be put in place which should be published so the customers make a better choice in dealing with the banks.

                      i have a complain towards the attitude of the employ of the hdfc g.s road branch gauhati. your employe is not paying attention to my request that have been mad several time against the di slip of my deemet account.they do have registered my complain verablly but they have not provided me with a response from last 5 months...

                        I have already called up the customer care for the new card & I have received the Pin no for the new card but not received the new card.I again called up the customer care to know the status of my new Debit Card (Request no del123118) they responded that they are not able to get my address to deliver the card.How could this be possible that they can deliver my new Debit Card Pin No but not able to deliver the New Debit Card?                         HDFC Bank — In last 20 days not received my debit card

                        I have an accont with HDFC Bank (Ac no. [protected]) in name of Saurabh Sachar. I apllied for ATM/Debit card on 8.12.10 in Rohini Sector IX Branch. I have recieved my ATM pin through First Flight Courier.

                        According to the last information my Debit Card was couriered through BlueDatr Courier (Airway no. [protected]) which I checked on Blue Dart's Site which has been returned to the Origin i'.e. Chennai. I don't know when I'll recieve my Debit Card because of which i am facing a big problem. Bank claims that a person will recieve the debit card in 7 to 8 working days but I have not recieved that in last 20 days.
                        I have salaried account in my Hdfc bank. I lost my debit card. So, I hostlisted that. I again requested new debit card. It may only send my office address. Pls send that my personal address..what I do now?
                        Hi My Name is- AJAY KRISHNA SAHAY, I given documents to open new corporate salary account to Saket New Delhi Branch almost 45 days ago, i have received the cheque book by courier before 15 days but still have not received Debit card nor PIN.
                        Spoke to Branch where i submitted documents they said - there is an criteria that i should have balance of around rs 900 to get debit card, this was really shocking to me that when i have not received my debit card how would it be possible that amount should be there, and i never heard that in debit card customer have to pay any annual fee for debit card, i told that bank person that seems you are new to HDFC and you don't know this, he insisted and said- No No this happens Sir, and later few minute he called again and said your card status is showing in system that It got processed from Mumbai branch and don't know when it will be delivered to you.                         My new debit card is dispatched (after 23 days) to one of its branch, instead of mailing to my registered address. Also, they ask to collect from the mentioned branch with a photo copy id.
                        The bank should ease the process.

                          Hi i am Virendra Ranka. i have HDFC gold Credit card. when i got gold card from bank they told me i will get 5% cash back on rail and air ticket. but never get that. then called to bank and they told me that minimum credit card statement should be 35000 Rs. then i buy two air ticket from makemytrip.com web site. before buying to ticket to this web i called to bank and they told me i will get 5% cash back when that minimum credit card statement should be 35000 Rs. from any web site.
                          but i never get this 5% cash back. at time of offreing this card they told me as i am from good company. i will get 5% cash back. why this bank is doing this. i need 5% cash back. i am using GOLD card from last 1 year. even they doing this.i need 5% cash back. can some one help me?

                            I am Bikash karmakar Res-West krishnanagar,Lalganesh Guwahati-34 .I have purchased a two wheeler loan from HDFC bank .My loan a/c no is 14971849 & Emi amount is 1644.00.
                            my salary account is credited on the 7th of every month and ecs is prensented in my acount on the 5th of every month.In that case i have to paid an additional amount of Rs.456 with everi EMI. I talked to HDFC executive regarding any procedure to change the ECS date but they told me NO. Then I told them that I'll pay the additional amount later but they also disagree with this. At present my financial condition is not too good and I my whole family is depedable on me in that case in every month Rs.456 is matter to me. So I request you to plese change the ECS prasentation date or if it's not possible then give some time for this.

                            This is an absolute information that you received from HDFC. HDFC offers 3 dates (2nd, 5th and 7th) and you can certainly change you ECS date and there is a nominal fee of Rs 250 (Approximately) one time charge payable to the Bank. If you are located in Mumbai there are only 2 designated branches that offer this service (Colaba & Kandivli). Below is the Contact information for the bank, try speaking to Edward, Prachi or Abhijeet, they are very helpful and will guide you thru the process.

                              I was working with HBL Global Private Limited as a Sales Executive and on 08th July, 2009 i have tendered my resignation to my head Mr. Rahul Patel who has countersigned the same as a token of Acceptance for my said Resignation.

                              I had work for 32 days for HBL as a sales executive and on termination of my job they have given me salary Rs. 2838 only, as a contract and appotinment letter i have given my Resignation with a period of fifteen days notice and they have given me salary for half month only.

                              I shoul be receiving salary for Rs. 7138.

                                Dear Sir,
                                I am a NRI living in Dubai. I have availed Homeloan from HDFC Bangalore. (Loan ac no: .HDFC[protected], bangalore.)
                                I have been sening mails and sending mails to concerned to send me a statement of account of my homeloan which has fallen to the deaf ears of the officials in Dubai.
                                Last time when I was not serviced properly I was upset and wrote to the chairman. Immidiately the officer from Dubai called me and apologised and requested me not to escalate the matter in future and promised good service.

                                I sugget , that there should be a "PERFORMENCE EVALUVATION SYSTEM" for these officers which should have 25% + or - for customer compalint / customer delite aspect and HR should monitor these no of complaints for each employee. If this is done the employee who has more number of complaints will have nagative effect in his increments or promotion or can be sacked.

                                Does the HDFC bank misguided you with hidden / change in ROI, after availing their home loans?
                                This practices are quite common with the Banks providing Home Loans. I am also looking for Home Loans from HDFC / DHFL / HSBC, but couldn't finalise due to above stated facts.

                                  Dear Sir,
                                  I am a NRI customer having Home loan a/c no.HDFC[protected], bangalore.
                                  I have been asked to issue my EMI pay ments advance cheques with out date. I have done the same and also sent several mails asking the concerned not deposit EMI cheques before 10th of every month. But contrary to my request every month my cheque is deposited on 1st of every month. My singale window contact for HDFC home loan in Dubai (he is manager in HDFC Dubai) now says I should have mentioned date as 10th. Actually he is person who has asked me not mention date & as proof I have slip which is written by him as its one of the madatory thing.
                                  How do I deal with this kind of attitude?

                                  i have applied for home loan through hdfc, i felt poor service somewhere in particular branch(adajan) at surat.it was just 10 mins.passed after specified time of the branch but no one was listened me about my urgency. i tried lot of to explain my difficulty for being late but no used. that time was critical for as i had to send my last disburshment as soon as possible and that date was the last opportunity. no one was ready to listen me. at last i had become unable to send my cheque on time just for 10 mins late.

                                  i wish those all responsible fellow has to be punished.

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    This is with regards to a loan my brother took out in the year 2007 against his credit card from HDFC. The total loan repayments (per month installments) worked out to be Rs.25000 (approx) but the Co. (HDFC) fraudulently confiscated Rs.43000 (approx) which I am further going to explain how.

                                    The installments of Rs.1086 each started on April 2007 for a loan amount of Rs. 22000 & were to go on for 24 months (until April 2009). We used to receive our statement each month & used to make regular payments to the bank until August 2007 when we didn’t receive our statement. My brother forgot to make the payment for that particular month in time & also because the statement was necessary to make the right payment because it used to carry the credit card transactions as well. Like any other person he thought he'd make the payment altogether once he'd receive the statement. But much to his dismay the bank instead of taking the onus of not sending the statement in time charged him some late payment fees, finance charges, etc. accounting to around Rs.350 next month. Now we're quite righteous (not sure if there's any value to this word these days or not) & believe in justice & would rather not pay any undue amount to anyone. So my brother disputed that amount & spoke to the customer services people who further asked him make an immediate payment of Rs.2100 to avoid any such charges & my brother obliged & did as was bid.

                                    But what ensued then was a phase of trouble for our entire family. We started getting harassment calls from the recovery department of HDFC (calling themselves HDFC staff) we ignored all that until it went over board & I finally reported this to the police over the phone. I gave them the no. from which we were getting such calls. Believe it or not, it felt the people who were harassing us were real degenerates who've come from a hideous background. It stopped finally when, I believe, the police intervened.

                                    Again, from November '07 the bank started levying more charges on us each month starting with Rs.674 for that month alone. We decided to ignore all this and kept paying the original monthly installment religiously. But next year again we started getting calls from the recovery agents to collect the pending amount as per the bank's records. My brother finally decided to pay them what they asked for and settle it once & for all. The people who called up assured us that this would be settled if we agree to pay them the amount straight away. My brother agreed & asked the person to come over at a convenient time to collect the amount. But somebody from the collection dept HDFC came over on a weekday when all the men in the house were at work & my mother paid Rs. 500 to them without realizing that there wasn’t any receipt given to her. We always believed in them being the bank staff as they used to call us on the pretense of being the bank staff & thought all their calls are recorded, after all we're not an investigation Co. who'd wrangle with them. Again, our problem didn’t end there, and we kept getting those calls from the bank & again my brother decided to pay them a full and final amount to settle it. This time he played smart and asked them to visit our father's shop where our father would take care of everything. My father ensured that the person who came gave us the receipt signed a letter saying it's a settlement figure, and also signed a note written on the receipt stating it's a final amount. We again paid him Rs.500 (the person's name was Sanjay) thinking that this would end it all. But yet again, we started getting calls as according to them it still wasn’t the settlement figure (though the receipt clearly said "valid only for full & final settlement if supported by the bank letter"). I appreciate we did not receive any bank settlement letter but we trusted the bank every time they tried to settle things & they assured us that we'd get the NOC letter soon & then if they were not willing to settle things why did they deceive us into paying them the undue amount & why did they give us the receipt which stated it's valid only for full & final settlement. Finally when there were only 4 months left to pay the rest of the installments we were asked to pay all the installments in one go and the case will be settled. But this time we decided not to listen to what they had to say & we kept on paying them each month. We paid them in full except that they had not encashed our last cheque (for some reasons not known to us, perhaps it's another trap).

                                    And now after about 2.5 years when my brother joined a new Co., who had their employees' accounts with HDFC, got a salary A/c with HDFC & to our shock the bank tracked his A/c & because the amount according to them was never settled (because they have learnt some different accounts & maths & perhaps not been educated on morals). They blocked an amount of Rs.14548.85 in my brother's salary A/c with HDFC & sent a notice to him asked him to clear that amount otherwise they'd anyways debit it from his A/c on the 08/09/2009. My brother called up on the numbers mentioned on the notice sent to us & spoke to the concerned people. They first said that an approval has come for a settlement amount of Rs.3500 which my brother agreed to pay at once because he was sick & tired by now fighting & arguing, with these obnoxious elements of our society, for over 2.5 years now. But they called up after sometime & blatantly asked to pay Rs.7400 now because the approval for the previous amount had been apparently rejected. My brother didn’t agree to it & admonished them that he'd take a legal action against them. But they finally debited the amount on the 08/09/2009 even after making umpteen promises that the case would be settled at Rs.3500.

                                    But now we're looking for justice. For a late payment fee of Rs.350 (which was in dispute) we ended up paying Rs.15000 (extra).

                                    My question is if we have a dispute on something which has not yet been settled, have these banks the right to accumulate the amount and make a snowball out of it?
                                    Have these banks the right to mislead customers?
                                    Can these banks never be at fault because they're these so called huge private organizations?
                                    Have these banks the right to torture & harass consumers?
                                    Should we stay away from these banks that are always on a look out for a prey that they can trap in this vicious circle?
                                    Do they have the right to hire goons who can go to the extent of extorting money from people by threatening them of dire consequences?

                                    We've paid nearly Rs.44000 for an amount that ideally should have been Rs.25722. It's around 100% more than the actual amount.

                                    I call it theft or robbery or fraud & I want justice. I want an action to be taken against HDFC for the mental torture & harassment they've caused to my family.

                                    I can furnish all the records whenever required. Look forward to getting a positive response on this.

                                    HELLO I Dr David masih wants to inform you that i was posted in NAKODAR Jalandhar Punjab as Govt Doctor I had taken Personel loan from Punjab Bank Nakodar branch loan AC NO 45la1417813, of Rs 1 lakh. dispersed on 31-aug-2005, EMI -2634, i was paying regurarly emi's, i was posted to jalandhar city, mean while name of the bank changed to centurion bank of punjab, contacted branch manager of main branch model town jalandhar city punjab on 9-4-07, and given application for foreclosure of loan AC, 45la1417813 .he told me the outstanding left was on 9-4-07 including foreclosure charges was, 67038. so i deposited the above said amount 67038 as told by the PL in charge . on 9-4-07 in cash and obtained receipt from the bank i was told that loan has closed, he has send mail for foreclosure, and u will get the NOC ., meanwhile i was posted to kapurthala away from jalandhar city. because of my hacktic job i forget to obtain noc from the bank, after three years has past, now bank has changed to hdfc bank, and recovery are harsing me at my residence, for balance of RS 10, 000 as they explain that the bank people deposited RS 67038. in central loan AC, and instalment was being decducted every month of RS 2634. upto march 2010, i was being told by hdfc PL recovery department that they received principle amount but not the interest of the installment up-to march 2010 ., how it can possible that installment, is made only by principle plus interest for the whole period of loan only, this is my humble request to hdfc bank to take action against manager mahesh chander of personal loan recovery for harsing me and my family . i am a class -1 officer punjab civil medical services, i am the inchare of ESI-1 jalandhar city . if my request is not being taken seriously, i will call press conference, i will go to consumer court and i will doctors assocation to bycott hdfc bank, i am member of Indian medical association (IMA) and in my all the speech in punjab and as well in other states of india.

                                      I am holder of your bank credit card no [protected].I have paid full billed amount and rs 1300 on two occasions.Due to my sister's marriage and i being out of job since 3months could not pay the amount which has now tune to Rs31,000 approx.I had bought this in the notice of your agent who had called me for payment and assuerd him that as soon as i rejoin my job i will definately pay which he had appreciated.Yesterday i recieved an advanced amount against my salary which i had requested my company to help me as my mother is hospatalised and has to undergo surgery due to gynacological problems.The advance was deposited in my account no [protected] in hdfc bank and when i went to withdraw to pay in hospital i found that the whole amount was freezed,thus delaying my mother surgery.I immediately called up the agent and requested him to adjust some amount againts the outstanding bills and the remaining to be released so that i can proceed with my mother surgery but i regret to inform that no action was taken and when i called up the authority with a request he simply denied.



                                      Sir is it appropriate to freeze my total money when i am in such crisis which i dont consider to be a humanitarian act.I therefore request you very kindly to look into this matter and obliged me by releasing the amount so that i can proceed with my mother surgery whose condition is acute.I hope you will realise the dificulty and oblige and at the same time.The amount deposited by the company is Rs9551 and i am ready to pay Rs2,000 against bill with an assurance to pay every month to clear your dues which i request you to consider the exubitent amout due to high rates of interest.Your immediate action will be appreciated.

                                        We are in receipt of cheque no. 080877 dated 26/8/09 for Rs.67584. We are surprised to see this amount as we were told that we would get the refund of Rs. 69507/- as per receipt letter dated 17/8/09. This letter was received by Ms.Akriti and she mentioned in this letter that we would get refund of Rs.69507 which is duly received by her and stamp put in. Copy enclosed.

                                        The same thing happened with us on 3/8/09. We gave surrender request in your branch which was received by Mr. Rakesh and he mentioned in our letter that we would get refund of Rs.70181. But it was later rejected that my policy has not completed 3 yrs. When it has not completed 3 yrs then why your executive Mr.Rakesh accepted my surrender request and wrote this amount. We are enclosing copy of it. At all the stages we were told by phone and email, that my surrender request has been accepted. We are enclosing all the copies of email. See your email dated 5/8/09 writted by Ms.Subhashini S that my surrender request has been accepted and then see your email dated 12/8/09 which states that it has been accepted and refund cheque would be sent. But after all these correspondence my surrender request was finally declined. If I could have been informed by Mr.Rakesh that your policy has not completed 3 yrs then I could have given the surrender letter on very next day. But he accepted my request and was told that I would get refund of Rs.70181. But it was rejected. And nobody was of help from HDFC even when after several emails and complaints.

                                        And then after lot of discussions with Mr.Akriti, I was told that a fresh surrender request has to be given which I gave on 17/8/09 for which I am having copy and the refund amount mentioned by Ms.Akriti for Rs.69507/-. Then why I have got refund of Rs.67584/-.

                                        I would request you to kindly give us the balance refund.
