We are in receipt of cheque no. 080877 dated 26/8/09 for Rs.67584. We are surprised to see this amount as we were told that we would get the refund of Rs. 69507/- as per receipt letter dated 17/8/09. This letter was received by Ms.Akriti and she mentioned in this letter that we would get refund of Rs.69507 which is duly received by her and stamp put in. Copy enclosed.

The same thing happened with us on 3/8/09. We gave surrender request in your branch which was received by Mr. Rakesh and he mentioned in our letter that we would get refund of Rs.70181. But it was later rejected that my policy has not completed 3 yrs. When it has not completed 3 yrs then why your executive Mr.Rakesh accepted my surrender request and wrote this amount. We are enclosing copy of it. At all the stages we were told by phone and email, that my surrender request has been accepted. We are enclosing all the copies of email. See your email dated 5/8/09 writted by Ms.Subhashini S that my surrender request has been accepted and then see your email dated 12/8/09 which states that it has been accepted and refund cheque would be sent. But after all these correspondence my surrender request was finally declined. If I could have been informed by Mr.Rakesh that your policy has not completed 3 yrs then I could have given the surrender letter on very next day. But he accepted my request and was told that I would get refund of Rs.70181. But it was rejected. And nobody was of help from HDFC even when after several emails and complaints.

And then after lot of discussions with Mr.Akriti, I was told that a fresh surrender request has to be given which I gave on 17/8/09 for which I am having copy and the refund amount mentioned by Ms.Akriti for Rs.69507/-. Then why I have got refund of Rs.67584/-.

I would request you to kindly give us the balance refund.

      Hi
      I have a saving account in HDFC bank. I have sent 2 applications to the bank, but till now they have not closed my account. Also if I enquiry over telephone, they say again drop the application. This is rediculous and its wasting my time. Pls help in this regard to improve HDFC bank account closure process.

        according to my records I had issued 8 cheques of 2543/-INR in Lieu of my Settlement , however at the earlier period of my settlement I did not have sufficient balance in my HDFC account , to which I had called the Bank and spoke to Samit Joshi , who then was located at Chandivali branch , and he had instructed me to make a payment of 300Rs in cash , inorder to continue with the settlement , which I did the same day , also the following month there were 2 deductions that were done for the Card , which was quite acceptable to me , then all the payments were done as perthe schedule as I had already provided the PDC's , then in may I was again asked to make a payment of 2110/- for the settlement and was assured that I will be getting a no due statement , I waited for it but still nothing , again in June I was asked to pay 2110/INR for one last time to fulfill the settlement which was again done , and all these transactions do reflect in my Bank statement , which even you can have access to on my cust ID : 22654064 .

        Now , to my worst nightmare again after 2 months I am being harassed by the Recovery agents asking me to pay 2200/- INR and the settlement would be done , all the call are available with me in a recorded format for your reference . now I really consider this as unethical on part of the bank , and harsh and troublesome behavoiur of you recovery agents , I am currently probing into the matter and have found that "Z.Z consultancy " is the auhtority thats causing me problems o behalf of HDFC . Also if according to you the settlement was revoked earlier , then WHY was'nt thee any communication done with me by Bank , Also even after the revoking of the sttlement the Cheques provided by me were honoured against the settlement .As it was the same amount as agreed in the settlement , whch again is against the Ombudsman Rule of conduct . So , I would now be compelled to take this issue rather more seriously wherein The Bank and The recovery agents are to be brought under the circle of Questioning and Reasoning , alongwith be being in the loop.also if there was a bounce of Cheque , the bank has already levied Bounce penalty and the amount of the cheque is deducted as well.and even afer that the payment was still taken against the settlement , which means that I was taken for granted somewhere , because of which I have to bear Harassment.

        I would appreciate if you could resolve this issue at your level , or let me know the further course of action being taken by you .

        Dear Mr. Syed,
        This is further to your e-mail dated 08.09.09 and subsequent conversation with our Bank officer regarding your HDFC Bank credit card account. On receipt of your email, we have reviewed the card account in detail and wish to share the following with you.
        Our records indicate that, settlement was offered on your card account during September'08 for an amount of Rs.19000.00 payable in eight installments against the card outstanding. As you may be aware, settlement offers are time bound and are decided based on the prevalent outstanding dues on the card account. Hence it becomes essential to avail/comply to the terms of the settlement offer by effecting a payment towards the agreed amount within the stipulated period, in the absence of which the same would be considered void. In view of the same, owing to non receipt of payment in accordance with the settlement offered, the same was revoked and the entire outstanding became payable immediately.
        Further, to non receipt of required payments towards your card dues, we wish to confirm that Bank regularly attempts to establish contacts with customers to apprise them of the outstanding dues and facilitate payments towards the card dues. While we have explained this, we regret any inconvenience caused to you in this regard
        We reaffirm that your credit card has been invalidated from further usage and there is an outstanding of Rs.34395.77 payable on your card account as on date. We request you to effect payment towards the same at the earliest to preclude further levy of bank charges.

        Your Complaint / Feedback (s) : This is for the Illecit/threatening language used by a HDFC colloction Representative, who called me on 08/09/2009 from [protected] repaatedly and Name being Namdev , and later spoke to Samit joshi , both located in Andheri branch.namdev started raising his voice and used a threatening tone without providing me any options or suggestions, as the call was in regards to the settlement of my card mentioned,I would be compelled to approach the print media with this kind of threatening Calls for recovery.

        also The stellement amount was of 19000 /- inr and for which I have already paid 19500 /- last month i was told by another Recovery agent that I need to pay the amount of 2192 for continuing clearing of the settlement , which was duly paid by me and was also told that i would be recieving a zero Due statement soon , which I has'nt recieved . now suddenly aome wird recovery agent with threatning tone calls saying that I need to pay another 2200Rs to clear the settlement , which I have clearly denied to , and i am being told that he would approach my organization for further consiquences.

        My customer ID is : 22654064 with HDFC with which you can get the complete payment details.

        looking forward for a resolution to this as I would be compelled to take this to legal level otherwise.

          I am a business man residing in Jaipur. I had taken a personal loan on my wife's name from CBoP. We had decided to settle the loan account by making one time payment. On 1st September, 2009 we receive a call from an executive that the approval for settlement had come and we told him that we accept it and he can come after a couple of days for signing the documents and other formalities.

          To our utter surprise we happen to check our other HDFC bank account (which has no relation to this loan) and we see that our funds equivalent to 2,66,000 have been blocked. We were shocked and could not understand the reason. We spoke to the RM of HDFC but even they couldn't help us. After a few days we receive a letter that CBoP had blocked this money.

          We spoke to the cllection manager of CBoP in Jaipur(Mr. Ajay Yadav, M:[protected]) but he was in no mood to listen to us. He seems to quite happy blocking our amount and feels that now there is no need of any settlement and does do not wish to talk either.

          This is so wierd!!! How can a bank propose settlement and then go back on its own proposal?
          Moreover, how can they block a client's another account which is with HDFC just because there was a merger with CBoP? I am really afraid of keeping a single penny in HDFC in name of my son/daughter/anyone's name!!! These people have shaken the fundamentals of entire banking system which flaunts that your money is safe in a bank..

          Please let me know what should I do. I really wish to escalate the matter to higher authorities and make people aware of this.

          I too am suffering with the attrocity of Bank of Punjab who loaned me Rs 10, 00, 000/- and I have been paying Rs 8405/ per month for last 5 years and am harrassed to pay an emi of Rs 9300/- approx. for no reasons as the emi as per their saying is enhanced because BOP has been taken over by HDFC, with whose consent have they taken over my loan aacount with higher rate of interests is known known. Now in this condition what to do is not known and understood. If your goodself has any idea about whom to approach in such case, I shall be highly thankful.

            I had deposited one chq received from IT depratment bearing No.862550, dtd.16.07.09 of Rs.6660.00 at your Patna Boring Road Branch on 30.07.09.

            It was returned by the clearing house twice by ststing " Wrong delivery" / "Not drawn on us'

            We had prolong discussion with the officers at the bank premises and they had given the excuse of wrong instrument.

            After long proceeding and consequent & several folowup with IT dept we had redeposited the same chq. to your Exhibition Road Branch, Patna on 5.09.09.

            The same chq. was credited on the same day & the amount credited to my A/c.

            We request a serious intervention from the concerend authority to stop such practices in branches like this where the officers are not experienced enough to deal such cases.

              I had worked with hbl global pvt ltd for more than 1year.from March 2008 to Feb 2009 but I got offer letter in May 31, 2008.& I have'nt got my incentives for the month of jan and feb 2009. but I got a letter from company of due balance which is no meaning to overdue although I have worked extra time in the company but there was a bad managing from Mukesh Goyal ( R M ) .. therefore many executives & Team Leader left there in the team mentioned. and now i am asking for my p.f account no.& incentives
              but they are not responding me.and

                This is an event of today morning (10.45 Am). I visited HDFC Bank – Derabassi (Punjab) for deposit Rs. 15000 in my saving account. My account is registered with HDFC Bank Sector-8 ,Panchkula. The Teller Refused to Deposit the money and reasoned that it’s not my home branch. I request to deposit the same because I am working in Derabassi. He again refused and introduced me to Personal Banker. She explained that my account is only related to my loan tractions hence we can’t deposit your money. This answer was not acceptable to me. I have discussed more, she refused. I request to give me the Cell no. of Branch Manager because he was not available in Bank, this request again refused.

                Earlier I was submitted my deposits many times other than my Home Branch, I have not faced any problem. Particularly this happened twice with your Derabassi branch.
                I want to know reason behind this. Please note that my account is not a loan purpose account. Is there some new regulation released by HDFC in regard this? If yes then why not regulations circulated to users.

                I am Ponkumaran from Tamilnadu and i have HDFC salary account in Perungudi Branch in chennai. Today i face a similar problem where my parents who live Erode(400kms from Chennai) wanted to deposit a sum of Rs 5000 to my account but their request was rejected citing a reason that my mine is a salary account and can deposit money only from my Home branch(perungudi). i dont understand this because there was several transaction like this was made succesfully earlier and the last such transaction happened in January 2010. When i enquired the customer care, they give me the same reason saying mine is a salary account and as per RBI norms i cant have that facility.

                i want to make a complaint on this and i am not being directed properly by the bank employees. how can i take it further?

                    Dear Sir

                    This is to complain you that i have got a credit card from HDFC bank no [protected]. I was making regular payment but in the month of July i could not deposit because i was out of station & not in position to deposit the amt.after that in the month of August 09 i made a payment of Rs.2620/- on 12/8/09 & again Rs 4300/- & again Rs 130/- in the month of August. My due date of payment is 26th of the month.I got threatning calls from bank abusing like anything on my friends mobile no. [protected] insulting me in August 09.After that i personally visited bank & lodged a complain to Bank;s collection manager Mr Ashish,he assured me not to give any call in fututr regarding this but after few days 4 persons visited my previous residence inquiring me from my then neighbours, they reported me on the same day.
                    I again called to Mr Ashish for the same but he denied to send anyone,after 2/3 days again 2 persons visited that premise & threatened, I again raised this issue with bank but they again denied.

                    Today on 10/9/09 evening two persons again visited my previous residence & threatened to my then neighbours regarding me as they reported to me over phone.

                    Now please take the issue at your earliest & do the needful & oblige.

                      hi sir,
                      I am Harish Kumar Sharma. I had taken a Credit Card from hdfc bank 1 years ago. when i get the credit card, after 15 day's i recieved call from hdfc bank for mediclaim. they told me you get the free madiclaim policy with this credit card. but when i get the statment for this credit card for that month, they withdraw Rs. 3500/- from my credit card account. then i call to the bank and said them to cancel my credit card & mediclaim policy. but they don't excepted this, & they told me you clear this amount of rs. 3500/- then they will close this things. but i had never paid this thats why my outstanding ammount was increased to 12000/-
                      then after some months a person with name Mr. sanjeev Vohra call to my father & told them that he is a advocate & he has a case of mine & if i will not paid the minimum amount of 6000 he will process the case in court. then I talk to him & told that I still not recived mediclaim policy paper & about the bank. but he was not ready to listen anything. then I decided to settlement of this issue & i have done the settlement of rs.6000/- with HDFC bank but they had already sent my name to CIBIL record as a defaulter of credit card.
                      & also i had clear all outstanding dues & also bank lose. I had gave total rs.6000/- for this issue to HDFC bank. but they do not get agree to remove my name from CIBIL record. they said, we will give you the NDL (No Dues Letter) to me. but that is not applicable for Loan. they need the CIBIL record.
                      now you tell me what i will do at this stage, & I still not recived mediclaim policy papers. now i want that they remove my name from CIBIL record & return my policy money .

                      sir,i setteled card in 22 june 2007,then i took loan in jan 2009 from state bank of patiala 16 lacs,till now i have paid 4 installements also,i now applied for car loan of 3 lakhs, but bank said my name is in cibil,pls suggest how to tackle bank now,
                      Dear Ravi Thakur,

                      You have "settled" the card in 2007, which indicates that there were certain issues like non payment or delayed payment or settlement of accounts through negotiation. If you have used your card, then you should have made the payments on time and in full. If what i understand is right, then you have been a defaulter with that bank and your "past" records will be with the bank and cibil.

                          Sir, I am Ashok Kumar. I had taken two wheeler loan from Rohtak, Haryana branch. My loan account no. is 2444564. I had made full and final payment on 27.08.2008 at Rohtak branch vide recepit no. 11356083. I go to Rohtak baranch 50 times, they did not given any answer for NOC and said you have to go Panipat branch for NOC. When I approach to Panipat branch, they said that you have to go Karnal branch for NOC. One year is passed. Where is my original NOC, no branch know. I had made complaint to three times to customer service of HDFC bank. I am not receiving any response from that also. What should I do for collection of my NOC. Where I have to go ie which branch. Please suggest me for appropriate action. HDFC bank is harrassing me.

                          Hi,

                          I purchased a 2nd hand bike. I have got all the papers from the original owner, but its been some time and when i went to RTO to get the bike transferred on my name they said that i have to present a NOC as the bike was on loan. I tried contacting the owner but now they have either left the city or have shifted to a new location.

                          How can i get the NOC? is there a way i can still get my bike transferred on my name?

                            Dear Sir,

                            My Loan account no is 13093480, I had bought a Honda Civic in April 2008 which was financed by HDFC Bank.The EMI was debited through ECS.Recently I approached the bank for foreclosure & they said they charge a whopping 5%....which was unbelievable.Again this was never mentioned when i approached the bank for loan.I have never defaulted on the payments & have been paying the EMI on time as per the schedule & this is what we get for being a loyal customer.

                            I have approached the bank for a waiver by 2-3% but they have refused.

                            After going through the series of complaints It seems a practice being followed by the bank to dupe their customers of hard earned money.

                            Kindly do not approach HDFC Bank for Car Loans, other banks offer much better customer service & work towards customer retention....unfortunately HDFC bank does not bother neither care for its customers.....

                            I had similar experience and I do recommend not to go for HDFC loans
                            i do have the same experience with my used car, but the process for loan is hasless, keeping dis in our mind we do approach thats where they loot your pocket...

                            HDFC Bank CAR Loan is really a painful criteria for Foreclosure. They are asking 5 % Charges after being a loyal customer for more than 2 years.

                            I had taken a Car Loan some 2 and 1/2 years back with a tenure of 5 years from HDFC Bank. Now when i want to pre-pay the balance amount it is asking for pre-payment penalty @ 3% which is shoking.

                            In case of House Loans, there is no pre-payment penalty then why on this............................

                            Hello All !
                            The HDFC carloan preclosure charges is now 6.9% and not 5%. Exactly after one year was over on my carloan with prompt repayment, wanted to close and approached them. I was told it will take 2 to 3 days for their system to account the last installment they received today and turned me down. I have to pay interest for the 2 to 3 days or more when I actually pay it. They want to grab our money in all possible sources. Government do not regulate these kind of cheating on innocent consumers.
                            I had similar experience and I do recommend not to go for HDFC loans.Any Solution ??

                            I have car loan with HDFC bank and for a pre closure, they are charging me 6% !!!
                            This is coming up to the same amount I borrowed from the bank after paying 7 months of EMI!!!

                            This was never communicated to us while awailing loan...
                            This is robbery!!
                            HDFC bank is charging 5% as prepayment penalty but also refraining you from interest rate of 11-12% so what's the problem ?

                            Its better to pay 5% then 11%.

                            Private banks charge you penalty because you are paying them before time. they have projection of money for next 5 years but your are breaking that projection by prepaying that amount. also they are helpful in providing loan.

                            If you go to govt bank then they will ask you for 10-15 document, stamp papers, verification, physical presende in branch etc.. but private bank gives you all benefit at your door step.

                            So you have to pay for that benefit !!!

                            I had taken car loan from HDFC bank 20 months back. Now I went for foreclosure of my loan amount for which they have levied a penalty of 5.62% of the left out principal amount which comes to around Rs38000/- in my case. This prepayment penalty was not at all discussed during the disbursement of loan . In spite of repeated attempts for waiving of the some portion of the penalty, HDFC refused to do so. Never ever go to HDFC for any loan. They are cheaters...They are cheaters...SBI is definitely a better option even though they have cumbersome procedures

                            Please take in Writing from HDFC that they will charge a fee on Foreclosure. If they give, take the writing and file a complaint to Banking Ombudsman of RBI. (as per RBI regulation there should be no penalty on foreclosure Floating rate loans (Car and home both). Also file one RTI against HDFC regarding Real Foreclosure they are charging.

                            HDFC & ICICI bank sucks big time guys... i am going through the same problem and they are not ready to compromise. They have part payment facility but in that facility it says that u can only pay part payment in every six month that too NOT more than 25% of your principle amount. HDFC bank is a big !
                            I have taken car loan from HDFC (so called Bank rather big lootere) of 3.5 lac in 2011 and now i want repay despite only 8 EMI's are outstanding. I was shocked to hear 3% foreclosure charges. I was never mentioned at the time of taking loan. They have told me that if you after 3 year of loan, there will be no foreclosure charges.                             Even i took auto loan from HDFC (also a case of mis selling).. Now after 18 months we want to prepay part of it which they say is restricted to 25% of the outstanding amount BUT again on that they are charging 5.70% pre payment penalty.

                            Recently I closed my auto loan after 1 yr . I really surprised to se that Hdfc bank charging 6.87% on outstanding principal. BIG [protected]@. This is my 4th auto loan from hdfc, previous they charge only 2 or 3%. Hdfc never mention that they will charge 6.87% intrest. I make many complaints but they dont respect customer, they not ready to listen customer, after this incident Im closing all my ccard and saving account and medical insurance from hdfc
                            You may write to banking ombudsman, in case there is no redressal of the grievance. I have also a similar case of car loan emi, as the error was due to HDFC bank and they tried to deduct penalty of Rs 700 from my account, even I always deposit EMI account on last day of every month.

                            Even I took Loan from HDFC bank and while taking loan they told foreclosure charges will be 0% and Processing fee Rs.999/-. But when i went to close my personal after 15 months, they asked 4.6% foreclosure payments extra charges. Which is shocked for me.These guys are really interested into taking money from you.Either they should say everything clear to customer or don't give loan at all.But don't commit anything wrong to customer.

                            I work for corporate & also a credit card customer. As per their norms, a existing customer will get rebate of .5 to 1 percent & also lesser interest rate for corporate people. It was assured by the bank personnel who processed my loan. He assured me of 14.5% interest rate. After taking loan I received welcome letter & repayment schedule also and nowhere they mentioned about interest rate, later I came to know they are charging 16%. When asked about this with the person who processed my loan, he told that due to some mistake by the back end office people I have charged 16%. No body is ready to accept & correct the same.

                            I have taken car loan from HDFC of 2.5 lac in 2017(7 months old) and my vehicle submerged in the recent flood.now it is declared as scrap by the Insurance company.I was forced to do a forclosure and I was shocked to hear 8% foreclosure charges.                             I have car loan 34263448 and personal loan 37816136 .. i paid all my dues on time. But in sep 2017 i had enough balance in my account on the emi date .. They not debited the amount after a week they debited from my bank account. In this where is my fault. Now they send sms outstanding amount fees rs 649.00 for each loan after 15 days .                             HDFC Auto Loan is pathetic, full of money oriented tactics. They cheat the customers openly, I am also one among you who want to close the account but has to step back due to the higher foreclosure charges. I had been told there are no foreclosure charges at the time of selling their pathetic auto loan product. I had clearly an specifically mentioned about my plans to close the loan after one year after the loan from first EMI due date. This was politely acknowledged and extended false information. Lessons learnt from this experience that do not believe any sales executive. Please take your time, read out the documents carefully and then go ahead. Please avoid HDFC auto loan. Comments / Feedback have been posted from so many years but HDFC Auto loan department has ignored the customer painful experiences.

                                I have a trading account in HDFCSEC and i forgot my password.
                                First thing is there is no way to reset the password online... we have to wait for more than 10 days to get the password.
                                Second thing is there is a charge to reset the password. Which company is asking any charge for resetting the password.
                                Third thing there are so many hidden cost which was not conveyed when we opened the account but now its coming up...

                                  I am having saving account with hdfc bank since very long. I am using net banking facility also. 10 days back while i was checking my account in net banking, i saw some thing mentioned about gold debit card. At this by mistakely i cliked and the very next moment i received the message that your gold card will be issued within 7 days. Also mentioned that there will be annual charges of rs.500/-.
                                  As i had cliked mistekely so i immediately sent the message thru mail also that kindly do not issue the gold debit card, i had called there customer service also but from there i had not received the satisfactory reply and so i contacted the alkapuri branch, baroda. From there also i had not received the satisfactory reply. They told that they do not know such scheme, you will have to contact phone banking only which i had already contacted. I had contacted the bank regarding not issuing the card and also inform them not to deduct the charges as i am not interested in gold debit card. But then also they have deducted the charges and also issued the card. When contacted again they told that it will not reverse and you have to use the card for atleast 1 year. It can be cancelled only after 1 year.

                                  So my request is to look into the matter and arrange to reverse the charges which the bank has deducted.

                                  My account is with hdfc bank, alkapuri branch, baroda.

                                    HDFC credit card department is filled with cheaters & fraudulent people. Just avoid HDFC credit cards. I was contacted multiple times by Banu(Ph:[protected] from HDFC Bangalore and incessantly offered me HDFC credit card. She said she is offering me credit card based on my loan approval amount & said she has all the necessary documents except a copy of PAN card. She offered me a Gold credit card with 5% cash back on total monthly bill & Platinum credit card with 10% cash back on total monthly bill. She said there are absolutely no restrictions & the card can be used anywhere and on anything. On their website when I couldn't find the Platinum card with the features what Banu explained, I asked if she is sure about that 10% cash back & she confidently said yes. Finally I agreed to go for it. She sent marketing executive to my office who collected the PAN card copy & took my signature on the application form. The next day I spoke to Banu & confirmed that she has sent the form for processing to their credit card division in Madras. She said it will be getting a verification call in a day or two & it would take 20 days to receive the card. I did not receive any verification call. After 20 days when I did not hear from HDFC at all, I tried contacting Banu continuously for 2 weeks & no one picks up the call. Finally when she picked up the call & said she will ask her colleague to give me a verification call right in presence of her, which never happened. Later I when I contacted Banu again she repeated the same about verification call. Finally I got frustrated with her & reached her manager. He had no clue about this whole thing but figured out that my card was rejected because my company is not listed. How can HDFC be so negligent? Before offering me a credit card when HDFC had all my documents in advance including my salary slip which states which company I work for. I requested the manager to give me the application number so that I can raise a grievance. He said he will call me the next day but in vain. That shows how much customer focus he is. Finally I spoke to a person from verification team who said they can still process my credit card purely on my salary but not relating to loan amount. He asked me what card I had applied for. When I explained him what Banu had explained about the 10% cash back Platinum card, to my surprise this guy said that they do not have such kind of card at all. He setup a conference call & brought Banu on the call to understand the card that was offered to me. Here comes the shocker...Banu straight away said that she did not talk about 10% cash back card at all. She simply denied that she had offered me this card. This is sheer cheating. All that they are interested is to somehow dump a credit card by mentioning false features. This happened to my colleague too from some other HDFC person. People like Banu do not care for customer satisfaction & has spoiled the image of HDFC. Neither the HDFC management nor her managers take this seriously & they themselves are careless. Now with this kind of system how would anyone be interested to become a customer of HDFC? Beware of HDFC & just stay away from them! Do not get into this trap.

                                        sir,
                                        I am manish khandelwal i was employee in hdfc bank 9 aug 2007 to feb 2009 after then i transferred in hbl global pvt ltd.march 2009 to nov. 2009 after i have resgined but i did not received pf amount. I received pf service in hdfc bank but i did not received pf amount in hbl amount. I sent pf form so plz rply.
