[Resolved] Home Town — Discrepancy & fraud in the goods sent - Home Town Noida | |
I work with an IT firm in Noida. We had purchased tiles from Home Town Noida. We are highly disappointed & shocked that the bill stated Rs 716 per box & the boxes that are delivered at our place are low quality with a price tag of Rs416 per box which is such a big fraud on their part. We had just by chance checked the price on the box otherwise we would have signed the receipt & delivery man would have rushed out. This act is totally unprofessional & strongly shocking no matter what the reason behind. We have retained both the receipts of the delivery man & the one meant for us. We have the boxes too hence have all the proofs for our case. When we had gone to purchase the tiles one of their official said premium quality is not available we can give you second’s quality. For which we insisted we want only premium that’s how the bill was made & we checked with their team twice that we need only premium tiles nothing less & they had given assurance. Despite their hollow promises we encountered such a major folly it’s a blunder & we are not ready to take it lightly. We have lost faith in Home Town’s credibility. Our work suffered miserably in the process, we kept speaking to the department manager- Sanjay & merchandising head – Abhineet Seth but they couldn’t give us satisfactory response leave apart a delightful response. They kept giving false promises. Abhineet had the shamelessness to say such things happen. Their team came to our house Sanjay along with Nitcos regional manager to apologize. When we asked them to change the tiles & compensate, they now said the required tiles are out of stock. This is a POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. This is a scam. Your minor problem becomes a nightmare. You are re-routed to these people, no matter how hard you try to explain, they are least interested in helping. This is definitely a detriment to staying with Home Town. This episode has really left me with a negative feeling towards Home town, which is too bad because my initial experience with Hometown was good (even with customer support)!!! I would much rather have bragged to my friends about my first experience with Hometown as opposed to what happened afterwards. Please STOP dealing with HOME TOWN NOIDA. Home Town — Delivery
Dear Sir,I purchase furniture 1+4 chair, table around 10 days back.
They are saying, they can make home delivery of the product if worth more than 10k. This is something annyoing for me. Even if the value is more than 7k.
Anyway I am arranging myself, but this will surely will not be ok for many customer. Hopefully in future I may avoid buying anything from Hometown.

I agree, I ahve few dealings with hometown and I find them good to talk but equally bad when it comes to deliver.
Their home building department is sham, and they out source work to worst contractaors available who are capable to run away without compleeting job. My batroom was so badly done that the flat below me senta notice for coanstant leakage.
Worst, when you want to escalate the matter, no senior official will meet you and they tend to play around with customers.
There is no timeline met for delivery, whatever you order.They are in short fraud . Their IQIP products are absolutely cheat.
Best way to use them- see the product on display, buy from somewhere else. Hurt them where it hurts them most

Home Town — Dented refrigerator not replaced
I’ve purchase whirlpool from Home Town (Great India Place ,NOIDA) dated 17 April 2011 (invoice no[protected].On delivery the Door handle was broken. I refused to accept delivery but Home town manager Mr Kapil Vij assured replacement within 15 days. Till now the replacement n ot done. Iam running from pillar to post but nothing happened.Pls help

Home Town — Very poor quality Customer Service
Had an order for a 3-door wardrobe placed about 3 weeks ago. I have had to make a non exaggerated 10 phone calls to request them to have it delivered to my place. If that was not enough, I had to wait out another week to request the assembling guys to come by to assembling the piece. Even after that, they had some wrong levers in the packaging, so the entire assembling could not be completed. They let me know that they would come back again next weekend with the correct parts and fix the issue. Over the weekend i have had to make another set of non exaggerated 15 calls to 66413317 wherein they keep giving a list of a million other numbers to contact (out of which almost all of them 'do not exist'- passing the bucket?). I wonder if even going all the way there and speaking with the store manager will get things moving since from my experience so far Home Town, Hyderabad clearly has not trained their customer care staff about tending to their customers 'rightful' needs on a priority basis. Its been about 15 days I made my purchase and my wardrobe has still not been fixed fully. Thanks but the issue has now been fixed. I may have been slightly loud over the phone but it was only the frustration talking. Anyway, order number was [protected]

What Happened, I met hometown architect to prepare the ground and first floor layout plan for my home, and I agreed to pay 50k for this. Also I said If I like your ground floor plan which u'll prepare for my me, t hen only you need to go tp prepare 1st floor plan. They said they are much qulaified and absolutely iw ill like their plan. They took me in confidence due to such commitment.
But when they gave me first Plan, truely saying that was worst plan..and any child can prepare that kind of layout. again i gave them chance to prepare layout, but they were not able to provide fit plan for home..So I aksed to to stop doing work and give the detail of ma money..from that day they stoped responding me..So I filed case inm court against them ..as i have lot of prove agaist them.

Home Town — Worst Products Delivery & Service
HiThis is Ravi chandra from Hyd. I bought Furniture worth 4.2Lakhs at Home Town, Hyd dated Dec 2010. Would you believe even till date some of the ordered goods are not delivered and not provided the fitment.
I have paid full amount in the month of Dec 2010, instead the they misplaced some of the Goods and it took them almost 4-5 months to replace the Missing Goods.Even today the Shipment is still incomplete.
I have registered tons of complaints from very top level Hometown HYD Branch Manager to supervisor, but still the proper action was not taken and i believe even in future they are not going to provide. I am still shocked how they provide the service to customers after selling their products. This is THE MOST WORST experience i have ever faced in my life. I felt like sending back all the goods worth Rs.4.25lakhs back to the HOME TOWN store in HYD.
I request someone to advice me in taking this issue forward in order to get the Goods from HOME TOWN for the money i paid.Please suggest me the procedure to file a complaint in consumer court.
