We purchased bathroom fittings from Home Town Bangalore on 2 October 2008, Receipt Nos: [protected](Rs 9595/-) and [protected] (19127/-)

After repeated followups items on Receipt No [protected] was delivered on 20 October, though the delivery note, has 8 October as the despatch date. The other items I have no idea when it will be delivered.

It amazing that Hometown NEVER has stock of anything..It always takes one to two weeks for any item to be made available. If you are going to take 20 days to deliver an item, why not I pay on delivery? Is there no value for my money or time?

Moreover the complacence and attitude of the staff at Home Town is enough to put off anyone from coming there a second time.

I have been inconvenienced so much by this delay as I had to pospone the plumbing work appointment a number of times so far. Hometown does not even care enough to let me know that the delivery is delayed.

Home Town — GOODS NOT DELIVERED

I had purchased 3+1+1 seater Sofa set from Home Town (Greate India Place, Noida) on 11th June 2008 through Receipt No [protected]. I was given a delivery date of 20th July 2008. However, despite giving the entire payment till date I have not received my goods. My request for the refund of my money was also rejected by Home Town. Can you please help me out.

I have a similar problem in hand where my furniture has not been delivered and every time I am told the furniture is not in stock.

I totally agree on the worst Customer Service ever I get. I booked for Bed and Matress and it was supposed to deliver by 22/02/2009 after one month of purchesed. But no response at all and when I tried thru thier CSD its always busy.

Is there any mean by which I can get my money back. If this is the case which means India's famous Pantaloon Brand itself is downgrading them.
First of all they should be customer oriented then only they can survive in Present scenario.
I too agree that they have the worst customer service ever, they get the advance money telling you that they are going to deliver the product next day, but they wont.They will never have stocks, we have to follow them up everyday to know the status of the delivery.Their customer support lines will be busy always, we need to get hold of the phone dialling again and again.Very pathetic service

Still waiting for an washing machine to be delivered, they promised tomorrow, I fed up calling them, I let the choice to them bringing it tomorrow or within this year end :(
We have never faced such a ridiculous and irresponsible response from the Home Town(JayaNagar, Bangalore) staff.(Full payment of Rs.22339 was done)the item was supposed to be delivered on 19-10-11.No notification done till now regarding the delay, only we keep making tens of phone calls everyday to listen to their very imaginative reasons for the status update.Even the sales person(Raju-Spring fit Mattress)/His Manager(Shyam--This Person is the best of all...he takes ZERO responsibility be it sales/delivery of the product.Wonder why this person exists )/Customer Service Manager (Fahadur Rehaman Khan).Nobody even knows the status of our order till this moment.

NEVER NEVER NEVER BUY FROM HOME TOWN.IT IS A NIGHTMARE

    Purchased a Slider bed along with two mattresses from company outlet at Jaipur on 17 th apr 08 ( Furniture bazaar crystal court shop no 225 tel:[protected]. Complaint regarding the mattress was brought in notice . Inspite of repeated reminders the compant didnt even care to resolve the issue. Pl find appended below the compalint number .10 / 33.
    Date of purchase : 17 th apr 08, bill number : T2 / 44 .
    Request you to pl help resolve the issue.

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    This is in response to the discussion made between the Marketing Executive of BIG BAZAR-Coimbatore and myself over the complaint I made against the Dreamline mattress I purchased. I made the purchase in August, 2010. Within few days I noticed that the mattress was not fully filled nor filled in an even manner. I made my complaint to the Sales executive of Bigbazar in October . So far I have been shuttling down from Bigbazar to the dealer a number of times, but the response from the authorities is very unsatisfactory and is not customer friendly. I want the mattress to be replaced or make the compensation as early as possible. After my third visit to your office so called some representatives came to my residence and took some photographs. Even after eight months of my patient waiting for a favorable response, your office seems to be not taking any action, nor responding to my queries in a reasonable manner.
    I request you to be customer friendly in your dealings and settle my issue as early as possible. Otherwise I may be forced to put up the matter to Consumer Court for a favorable response.

      I Had booked a victory bed room set, Rhoumbus Study table and a chair at Big bazar Esplande, kolkata on 16/08/2008 Invoice No 144 and Bill No -T20/204. They have promised to deliver all the goods within 15 days. As they failed to deliver, I called them up, they replied only study table is available, as they won't do part shipment so they will deliver all the goods at a time. After rigorous follow up to my utter surprise they had delivered onle the bed room set after more than a month . within a week of the delivery of the dressing table, its mirror cracked as the un cured plywood starts bending, after lot of complaint no body has cared to visit to assess the loss due to defective manuafacturing Till today I am awaiting to receive the study table and chair, whenever I call the reply of the executives is as early as possible / by this week . More than 2 Months have passed since 16th August 2008 nobody from Big Bazar/ Future Group Bothers to Inform Me when I will receive It Though I had made full payment for all these goods

      Future Group — Non Delievery of Goods

      I made 7 Order online at Future Group, Details of Orders are

      I made a payment on 25-01-10 through cheque, no. is 510394 through ICICI Bank. They have confirmed for the payment that they have received. They have delieverd the product of one order for rest they are showing awaiting payment. Whenever i make call for delievery of goods or refund of my money, they are replying that ' we are forwarding your complaint to concern department ' but still no updation.
      ON WHAT BASIS COMPANY GIVE 50 % CASH BACK ON NON DELVERY OF GOODS.

      I THINK IT MOSTLY HAPPEND THATS Y I HAVE STOPED ONLINE SHOPPING.
      I THINK GOVT SHOULD MAKE A LAW AGAINST PROTECTING THE CONSUMER RIGHTS FOR ONLINE SHOPPING

      This mostly haapen, inonline shopping company do not confirm the payment till 2-3 days and after confirming the payment, they don't change the status of payment because of their commitment of " 50 % Cash back in non delievery of goods withinseven days. " They have the product in stock but says they don't have the product in stock their team will arrange shortly.

      regarding wrong billing

      I have purchased items at P& M Mall vide cash memo no. 0043800 on 8.3.2012 at 15.51, I have purchased 02 Ariel Matic(1 kg) but in said bill the operator counted it for 04 times. I have paid Rs. 14, 421 instead of Rs. 14, 053.

        (the receipt Number: [protected], Complaint number: 3097)

        I have bought a freedom sofaset ( Brown Color) from HomeTown Bangalore under recent offers.
        Paid advance and waited for the product for 45 days. The sofa set was delivered to my home on 21st Sept 2008.

        1)A person from hometown came to my home to assemble sofa on 22nd Sept 2008. While sofa was being unpackaged it was discovered that 2 units ( a 3 seater and a single seater ) were damaged :-(. As per the instructions of Assembler, in the assembly note I wrote that Sofa was delivered damaged and he told me that someone would come from HomeTown and rectify the problem in next 2 days.

        2)The assembler did not fit the parts of the legs of the sofa since he did not have a long screw driver.

        3) Also I discovered later that wardrobe which was purchased along with the sofa was fitted properly.

        I called HomeTown next day and complained regarding these. I asked them to register a complaint. I was told that they would get back to me in next few minutes and no complaint was registered. But I was not called back.

        I called Hometown again in couple of days and asked them to register the complaint and finally it was registered ( number 3097).

        Now it is almost 3 weeks since complaint was registered. I have called them many times to know the status of the complaint, they tell me that either they would call me back or some one would come and rectify the problem or sofa would be replaced. They give me a date by which everything would be rectified, but nothing happens.

        I had paid the full money in advance of 45 days, it is my hard earned money and when product is delivered I expect it to be at least undamaged.

        It is interesting that on the reciept it is mentioned that all furnitures bought from HomeTown will have a warranty period of 1 year. But it is so difficult deal with the HomeTown (well but better that Government employees I guess), if you happen to recieve the damaged product (which you can notice only after you unpack it and it would be done only after assembler arrives), then experience is hellish.

        I wonder if they are ever going to replace the sofa as they have promised. But I am determined that I would not accept a damaged product and I will fight it out somehow.

        I hope that some higher authority from Hometown would look at this note and take appropriate action.
        ( So that my problem is rectified and future customers will not face any problem)

          I have purchased an Inalsa coffee maker on 3rd of October 2008 from Big Bazaar (Neta G Subhash Place). The person who came to me for demo said that this is defected product so return it to big bazaar. On 6th of October i returned them this coffee maker and they assured me to deliver this at my address with in four working days but now its more than 8 days and still i am waiting for my coffee maker or my money back. They didn't even clarify me what's going on ?

            Hi,

            I purchased a King size double bed from Home town (Ishanya Mall). The bed was the last piece available with them and was used for display hence a discount was given to me on the price. It is so called solid wood bed and the base of it is formed of wooden strips with no support in the middle (which we didn't checked assuming the support will be there). Once the bed arrived and was fitted we came became very wary of the bed as the base was without any support and was bending if we sat on it. Anyhow it survived the first day but the next day it broke. Furious I called home town and the refused to take it back. Saying It was given to me on the "as it is" basis and thats why discount was given.

            I would suggest people not buy anything from home town as their furniture is not of good quality and is exorbitantly priced. I'm now left with the broken peices of wood in my house. Which they say will repair. But its not going to last again without any support in the middle for which the bed doesn't have any option.

            I completely agree with the above mentioned complaint. I brought a powder coated steel cot with big storage space from home town which cost me 16, 500 bucks. The cot has no support base in the middle but they assured as the material is quite hardy, there will be no problem. Fortunately, because of material it has not broken yet, but each time we seat or lie down in the bed, some irritating sound comes out of it.

            I also bought a bed side wooden table which is of very bad quality. It has only been 2 months, but I have already seen crack in the corner.

            I have had a very bad experience with the same outlet.

            This time with fitted cupboards, no discounts etc

            They promised 3/4 weeks delivery and 2/3 days fitment time.

            Actually delivery took close to 6 weeks. Fitment is still going on 12 days later, short supplies, wrong supplies, negligible supervision and shoddy quality and a completely unprofessional staff, which will mislead you at every opportunity.

            They will sut you out from talking/complaining to anyone higher up

            Can somrone advise how to deal with them?? TOTALLY FED UP
            Should i buy a bed from this group as am planning to buy this dipawali
            WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE...never buy anything from HOME TOWN
            i got bad experience with their tiles.people should stop buying from there

                I purchased a Electrolux Refrigerator on 06/09/2008 from Big Bazaar Kharagpur, But after few days it stopped functioning .After repeated complaints there is no action taken.I asked them to pleaz change the fridge or refund my money but all this went into deaf years. I would now be compelled 2 take legal action if action is not taken by them.

                  My name is arun wadhwa.I have puchased one doublebed with mattress from Bigbazar.I paid for Dreamline mattress but they sent me some other brand.I contacted them a lot of time but they are not giving the proper response.I got the delivery on3rd of june and at the time of deleivery I talked with their manager he promised me to replace that mattress with dreamline with in 3 days.For that only till today i haven't unpacked that mattress.I don't what is the use of writting here but if i'll not get the DREAMLINe mattress I'll go to Consumer Courts.

                  I strongly agree with this comment.I know bigbazar is not providing good service to their regular customer.
                  I have purchased a mobile FLY SX210 at 17-June evening from your store located in EDM Mall. It is extremely disappointing for me to purchase mobile from your store because they have sold me defective piece of mobile, which has manufacturing defect. At the time of selling, the sales person committed verbally that if any defect found within 48 hours, they are going to replace the mobile. In the next morning, I found a thin line in the middle of the screen and when I go there to show the problem, they were blaming that I have damaged the mobile and they are going to charge for the repairing. Then I wrote the problem to the fly company and contacted to the service center at Noida Sec-62, they have accepted that this is manufacturing defect. Your sales person have harassed me and blame on me for that defect. In this situation, how can anyone purchase from your store and make good relation with your store chain. So please look into this matter on priority basis so that these type of problems do not occur further more and do let me know the action taken by you on this case.
                  I can understand ur problem .
                  Big Bazar is making fool o[censored]s, cheap quality products at higher price and worst consumer support I have ever seen.You must certainly use your consumer right.
                  Even I have been cheated many times, and this time its was height, I had purchased a pair of shoe worth Rs.775 and the shoe got torn within 10 days when I went their on 14th day they said, if there is any damage after 7 days they will not be responsible .Very funny the manager said probably, I have misused the shoes, I don't understand how can one misuse the shoes.when I said, if this is their attitude towards the customers, i need to go to the consumer court, he said, I should better go and do what I wat to.
                  So I have completed all the formalities and I will do so.
                  we, as a customer have full right to raise our voice against such dadagiri of these stores.
                  You should thank your lucky stars and kiss the feet of the person sending you something other than a Dreamline mattress. We were unfortunate to buy a Dreamline "Reliabilty" king size mattress and it was sagging beyond belief within 6 months. Dreamline no longer does business in the two states nearest our home. We can ship it from Wisconsin back to the factory in Cabot. Arkansas and pay shipping both ways. They decide to "repair", replace, or do nothing. Or, we can haul it across three states to a Dreamline dealer not knowing if they are willing to deal on a warranty for an item purchased from another store. If they would, which seems unlikely, Dreamline would still have to decide what to do. So that would be another expedition back across 3 states. Meanwhile, apparently we sleep on the floor, which actually, would be better than their mattress.

                  So what do we do with our fabulous Dreamline products? You can look at it as a three dimension wall mural in the trailer or you can call it what it is--"Trailer Trash".

                  By the way, I believe that Dreamline does business with stores such as you are complaining about.

                  Even I have lot of problem with Dreamline mattress. My wife developed some spondilytis on the back due to this mattress. Some portion of it looks sunken and some broader. I don't understand why they make such third degree mattress which costs us about thousands of rupees. Its better that we use "khatias" or dari made by local vendor instead of buying these products.

                  I bought two MxVities biscuits, the pack shows special offer as 99rs, but when I came home and checked the bill it was Rs143 - 23rs only,
                  Also bought two sets of pillow covers, the shelf showed buy on get on free, so for two sets and the bill showed 298 was charged -so double to what
                  the counter mentioned.
                  I think big bazar mentions one thing on shelves and is cheating its customers. It is a big fraud they are playing on customers. some journalists should
                  check on this and expose Big Bazar for the clever way they are cheating customers.

                    I purachased one sliding bed vide advance receipt no.[protected] dated 28 Sep 2008.I was promised that the same will be delivered to me between 11 am to 3 pm on 30 Sep 2008 I took off from my office to take delivery I made more than 50 telephone calls from Hometown to Future group and finally it is delivered on the evening of 01 Oct 2008. Now kindly pray that it may be installed with in week(hopefully). You can imagin were Future Group is taking us in future and what is difference between vender on street and big company. Hats off to Kishore Biyani and his group .Please don't make Sone ki chidiya because with it's golden wings it fly very slow.

                    I have callled them almost daily for inquirin but every new day i get a new excuse n new promise, nd thier poor customer service they don even bother to inform us abt the problem of delay in delivery, after waitnig so much i personally visited the showroom, 'HOME BAZAAR- MULUND-WEST, MUMBAI' sum mr. javad thier floor manager gave his no. n said tht it will be delivered within few days, now not the bed is deliverd, not tht mr.javad is calling back, now he has swithced off his phone to avoid answerin us.
                    now i have decided if i don get my bed delivered n assembled within 1 day, i will not call them or go to them nd will approach consumer court, for their pathetic nd ridiculous nd irresponsible attitude,

                    I have callled them almost daily for inquirin but every new day i get a new excuse n new promise, nd thier poor customer service they don even bother to inform us abt the problem of delay in delivery, after waitnig so much i personally visited the showroom, 'HOME BAZAAR- MULUND-WEST, MUMBAI' sum mr. javad thier floor manager gave his no. n said tht it will be delivered within few days, now not the bed is deliverd, not tht mr.javad is calling back, now he has swithced off his phone to avoid answerin us.
                    now i have decided if i don get my bed delivered n assembled within 1 day, i will not call them or go to them nd will approach consumer court, for their pathetic nd ridiculous nd irresponsible attitude,

                    This is about CUSTOMERS CHEATED BY HOMETOWN!
                    I am Gurudatt Puranik (cell[protected], a HomeTown customer like you all. Like most of you, I am a salaried working person. I booked a modular kitchen at Hometown thinking that “I am going for the best”. The most “helpful” Home town Staff and Manager Mr. Ajay Pandey-[protected] helped me with the kitchen choices and rate of 2, 71, 600/- for my kitchen. The rate was steep, but I was again assured that “I was going with the best” and assured “prompt delivery within 1 calendar month”, the delivery date promised was 3rd April 2010. I am sure this is what Hometown assures its customers today too. It was fateful day of 27th Feb2010 and I was asked to pay advance and approx ½ amount, which I did by 3/3/2010. Here is where my happy days, and peaceful nights ended!
                    I then started calling Hometown people up after a month, doing multiple follow-ups, listening to most common as well as absurd excuses for delay (Mr Pandey even blamed Volcanic eruption in Iceland in May for the delay), and finally they called me on 6th May.
                    The Home town staff Mr Ajay Pandey told me that “finally” the complete material has arrived, and asked me to make balance payment as per terms and conditions, and I paid complete payment on 6/5/2010.
                    Again the story repeats, after doing multiple follow-ups and trips to hometown, they finally sent me some consignment on 15th May and 5th June 2010. But to our horror, it was incomplete – only 50% of goods delivered. No Facets (front face of cabinets and drawers) etc were delivered. No Tall unit (which is the costliest in the order) was delivered. In short, less than 1/2 material was delivered, after more than 3 months of promised date! So after 3 months of payment and multiple followup with Mr Pandey and now Mr Ajit Nair-[protected] (who introduced himself as Store Incharge) I am still being taken for a Royal Ride by Hometown, with my house in mess due to this delay!
                    Also to my surprise, with every trip to hometown, I started meeting HOMETOWN CUSTOMERS with similar plight coming to Hometown for followup, with same story. So, finally I decided “Enough is Enough” and have decided to take the battle to Hometown. We now have formed a group of “Customers Cheated By Hometown”. I am here distributing this letter and sharing my experience with you as I could not keep quiet and let myself be taken for ride by Future-Group people. Also it was surprising to note the number of customer complaints like me when you google “Hometown Consumer complaints”.
                    So, as a Cheated Hometown Customer I ask you people to support me by asking the Hometown Staff especially at their Modular Kitchens Section about the “Case of Gurudatt Puranik being cheated by Hometown, and the 3 month delay of goods”, my details are below. Also needless to say “Beware about shopping with Hometown. I have gone thru this, and am still fighting!!”

                    we are nri. we wanted to buy dining table set so we visited home town showroom and purchased on table with six chairs costing approx. Rs 45 thousand . they took advance full amt and after that we had to make hundred calls for the delivery as they were very rude.finally they send the table which was fully damaged in the delivery . we took objection as they did not send packed piece My mother-in law took delivery being old she did not noticed. when we were back home we were shocked to see the table and complain abt it. they were so rude and could attend our complaint. being Indian we were shocked as whenever it happened out side india for them customer is like god and they cant afford to be rude with customer .but here they even disconnected out calls . and we were so annoyed finally we landed there but still they were reluctant to do the needful.so i want to request all the viewers please even if you have crores of rupees don't even think of going to home town for any shopping as your money is going to waste and will get zero as what material they are using is low quality and very very bad service. shame less group nothing else

                    Non-suuply of furniture.

                    I had booked one sofalespana (product code[protected] and one centre table (Product Code Nivi MDF) from your Home-town shoppe at Sharaganj Mall, Lucknow vide receipt no. [protected] and had been informed that I will get the delivery of the same by 13.10.2010.

                    On enquiry regarding supply of the above items on 11.10.2010, I have been informed that due to some problem it will take another one week. After one week, when I again enquired on 18.10.2010. I have been asked to wait for another one week.

                    Finally on 23.10.2010, I had received a call from your staff to deposit the balance amount so that the delivery of the above product may be done.

                    Due to Sunday on 24.10.2010, I made full payment on 25.10.2010 and then I was informed that the above product will be supplied within 48 hours.

                    But to my utter surprise, I could not get the items till date and today when I enquired about the supply, your staff again asked me to wait for next 05 days.

                    I am highly disappointed by the business tactics of your professional though I wanted to have long been a customer of your products as I regarded you as an excellent supplier/organization. But, after the above experience, I committed myself not to purchase any product from your shop in future.

                    Therefore, I request you to do what you can to rectify this situation.

                    I purchased furniture from Home town Kolkata, but they had not kept their promise of delivery . They told me it will be delivered within two days byt it took 8 days to deliver . Their pre-text is that gowndown checking took long time and they do not deliver the goods which are damaged . Their manager never pick up the phone . we made at least 50 phone calls. Sales men washed their hand after sale. They blame it to customer service .

                    Another interesting thing is that whenever you like the furniture and you ask them to check the stock, they will tell you, this is the last piece . I have a very bitter experience with HOME TOWN FURNITURE . So please think twice before buying from them .

                      Recently visited the store in Esteem Mall near Hebbal FlyOver in Bangalore.

                      After we returned home and verified the prices we realized that contrary to what we heard the prices are actually on the higher side and the biggest problem is the fact that the guys are actually cheating by taking prices beyond the MRP.
                      - Ctach Zeera packet (100 gms) MRP is 27 and they charged 30.
                      - Mushoor dal MRP is 36.5 and they charged 38

                      Also when most other shops charge 115 for a 5Kg pack of Aashivaad Aata, these guys charge on MRP.

                      Additionally some of my other colleagues and friends are also of the opinion that while their prices are competitive on one or two products using which they attract, on the whole, if one is going for a monthly shopping of groceries, on an average you would pay around 300-500 Rs. more in Food Bazaar. While most other people are silent, I will certainly take it highup as these guys have now come to terms of open cheating by taking prices beyond MRP.

                      After hearing about big bazaar, i also went there in banagalore as well as in Hyderabad. I have experirenced the same that they twice for the same item. Also the items like 1kg sugar free on i kg ghee are not provided. they take advantage of the fact there is crowd at the billing counter & hence do not provide the extra sugar or other itmes. Also the items are at another counter & they ask you to collect the free item from another counter. They are very smart, they have the counte5r which gives above 1000/- frr items on the topmost floor wioth only one or two attendants who are slower than a snail, so most of the time seeing a big queue you dont want to get there.

                      Big Bazaar is a fraud shopping mall... This is third time i shopped at Big Bazaar and every time i had a very bad experience... Big bazaar prices are more than local market prices...

                      Yesterday I shopped at Big Bazaar at R City Mall in Ghatkopar, Mumbai... every product was costlier than i usually buy from my local vendor or from Dmart... The worst was Mapro Kokum Sqsh 700 ([protected]) MRP on the product is 90 Rs...where as Big Bazaar charged me 99 Rs... i.e. 9 Rs more than MRP...and u guys claim Isse sasta kahin nahi... shame on you guys...

                      I have kept the bill and product on which MRP is written ...
                      Yesterday (18/03/10) i visited Big Bazar pune and purchased some food products along with some cosmetics. We payed the bill and after coming home when i cross checked the price with each components i found a huge difference in one product.

                      Actual rate of 500g green peace (Wattana Green) was 16 Rs and they have billed it 449 Rs... The difference is 433 Rs... Then i went back and when talked with customer support and got my money refunded. The customer support guy behaved like he was waiting for the customers with this complaint. He spoke very politely and said so many sorry and all...

                      After returning from there i realized the fact. They might have purposefully put a huge price and the customer who cross checks the bill and comes with complaint will be refunded.

                      They also know that 70% of the customers doesnt cross check the bill especially when they are doing monthly purchase. There will more 50 items and who will try for a cross check. What i feel personally is they are doing it regularly and cheating the customers...

                      Now onwards i will never buy from Big Bazars or malls and even if i have to i will cross check the bills...

                        I purchased a product from futurebazaar.com using my deutsche bank credit card following a mail from deutsche bank which says that the product can be purchased by calling the futurebazaar.com and keying in the deutsche bank credit card details and the cost will be charged in EMIs from futurebazaar.com side. but after purchasing the product i saw that the whole amount is charged to my account at once. then i called up the bank and they say it was supposed to be done from futurebazaar.com side and the futurebazaar.com executive guys say that it was supposed to be done from bank side. So my sincere request is not to beleive on such kind of offers or even if you really are willing to do that, just confirm from both the sides before making the purchase.

                        Deutsche Bank Credit Card — New Service Charges on Deutsche Credit card for Existing EMI

                        I have availed the EMI option of 12 months tenure for my transaction on Deutsche credit card on Sep 2008. I have made the EMIs till december 2008. From this January onwards, those people are charging me 12.9% on my interest opart of the remaing Loan Amount. When i enquired customer care, that person has told me that it is a new charge with effective from Jan 2009. How come they can put the new charges for the existing EMI Option. If they introduce one more new charge in next couple of months, should the existing cutomer be affected with that? I would like to take the action regarding this. May i Know this procedure for making a compaint against this to RBI. IS there any RBI web site availble to registe complaint online

                          Big bazaar has a tie up with SBI cards, wherein on accumulation of certain points, they offer coupons for purchase in their clothe shoppe. The instructions behind the coupon very clearly mention that "any garment can be puchased upwards of Rs50". However the rude staff at Big Bazaar Phoenix Mills Mumbai did not allow us to apply more than Rs50 per garment. Thus effectively nullyfing the benefits of the voucher even though nothing is mentioned as such behing it in terms and conditions. Also, they refused to give us in writing that they are refusing to honour the coupons. Very sad that a company of such stature is doing this and stooping to such levels with its long standing customers.

                          Hi,

                          I am Zainul Abideen. I bought a new Fly B720 (Duo) mobile from Big Bazaar (Phoenix Mills) Lower Parel on the 20th of Aug 2008. Within the first month itself the Handset started to show signs of malfunctioning and I informed the same to the concerned dealer about the same, but they didn't respond properly. I continued to follow up with them regularly to get a revert on the same. And finally they guided me to a Fly Moblies Authorised Service centre wnose name is Adonis Service centre and located in Andheri. There they asked me to submit my Handset along with the Handsfree on the 25th of Oct 08 and I submitted the handset and the Handsfree on that day itself. After that I contacted the dealer to have a word with the customer care executive regarding the same. Later on, whenever I called them for the revert, the service centre people also kept on saying tomorrow - day after - tomorrow. And finally when I stood up and asked for my handset, they returned it to me on the 2nd of Dec 08 with out the Hands free and gave me a document that clearly stated that the handset was not repaired at all and returned. During this period of 25th Oct to 2nd Dec 08, the handset was continously used by somebody whose call history still exists in the handset. Now the dealer in Big Bazaar is also not willing to replace the same and trying to guide us to another service centre even after knowing everything that it was used continously while in the Customer Service and given back in the same problematic condition.

                          Please guide as I am very much fed up with all these follow ups and false reverts and poor service. I have all the necessary evidence which can demonstrate the poor service of these companies. Now I am ready to take any possible legal action against 4 of the Companies :

                          1. Big Bazaar.
                          2. Adonis Servuce Centre.
                          3. Fly Mobiles.
                          4. The Mobile Dealer.

                          Please revert.

                            BIG BAZAAR — Debit Three times

                            I am a regular customer of big bazaar, on 8-May-09 I purchased some items from Big bazaar, Sahara Mall, Gurgaon wide bill No, T18/58077 amt. Rs. 930. I made payment through debit card of Punjab National Bank but it got denied, then I gave another card of same bank of different account but again it got denied. Then I gave Debit card of Axis Bank, which belongs to my wife, it was accepted and payment was made.

                            After two days I checked my account statement of both the PNB accounts, to my surprise, my both accounts were debited with Rs. 930, that means I paid Rs. 2790.00 for items worth Rs. 930.00. After this I spoke to my bank, they have told nothing can be done on their part as payment have been already credited to Big Bazaar and after this I went to Big bazaar and spoke to Mr. Kishan Chander, he gave assurance that he will write mail to HO and after getting revert he will contact us within two days but he never called. When today I called him I spoke to Mr. Sunil, he was very rude and said that they are not concerned with this speak to your bank. but bank has given us in writting that amount of rs. 930 is debited from my both accounts. Please help to get my money (Rs. 1860.00) back

                                I am a regular customer of big Bazaar but for the last few months specially after the launch of Maha bachat yajna i have found that the quality of food products is decreasing.
                                recently i had bought besan, poha etc. from there and in almost all the items there is a typical smell and taste coming as if they were spoilt and thereafter cleaned and repacked.
                                so just a warning message to everyone to be careful because my Husband fell it after consuming it and same can be the case with anyone else

                                Food items — Bad customer service

                                I went reliance fresh store at G T Karnal Road, Near Shakti nagar telephone exchange, In front of True value Maruti show room on 12/12/2008 evening. I have selected items of Rs. 1000/- approx. and asked for billing through my credit card. They have refused to accept my payment option due to non availability of paper roll in credit card machine.                                 I am a regular customer of the Big Bazaar at chikkadpally. Here the PC games don't work at all. All the CD's are corrupted. So make sure that your CD is perfectly all rght before purchasing. I have been cheated a lot. I had brought 4 games out of which only 1 was working properly and that too it was a demo version.                                 i purchase escort wrist watch from big bazar RTC X road hyderabad after few day its gold coating lost, i approached some service centers which is given in warranty card but nobody is willing to take the watch for servicing then on 05/04/09 i approache BIG BAZAR RTC X Roads watsches sales counter, he accepts the watch and informed me Delivery will be given after 10 days. After completion of 10 days i frequently visited to BIG BAZAR for getting my watch theere is no proper answer i am very un happy with the service of BIG BAZAR as well as ESCORT which is so neglecting the customers after the sale from now onwards i and my relatives decided not to buy any product from BIG BAZAR who is not taking care of customers after sale

                                I fail to understand why you people complain when you go n buy some silly stuff from someone who is already known to sell you unbranded and something which has quality far below the standards to be sold in the market. Buying at BIG BAZAAR is just like buying on the road side.

                                Both do not sell good products.
                                Both do not have money return policy.
                                Both do not have product replacement policy incase of bad product purchased.
                                BIG BAZAAR is modern and sophusticated cheat market selling very cheap products at a premium price to the customers and also check any product AND MARK MY WORD ALL THE PRODUCTS ARE NON-ISI products and I am surprised how the government or the agencies who give the standards to the products allow such unsafe products to be sold so easily in the market.

                                I advice you not to complain to big bazaar but to pull the agency (Food & Drug administration - in case for un-hygenic food purchased from Such stores & ISI for consumerable ) in the court of law and get them punished for their mistake.

                                After all these agencies are setup at our tax funds paid by us to protect us from un-usable and un-salable materials.

                                I am Satish Kumar Kannayagari, Last month(17th Apr) in the BigBazaar(Abids Branch) i have purchased the Onida Microvave Oven(convection model) and at the time of purchasing they have promised me that they will arrange for the Demo max with in a Week but up to now no body has came for the demo and i have called so many times and no body is correct response and when ever i call they are simply telling that they will arrage for the demo in the next working day and after next working day if i ask for the same person with whom i have talked before then he is telling that he never spoke to me.

                                    I have not used the SBI credit card ([protected]) since 8th March 2007 for any transaction & I never used to check the statement as well. I used to be out of town so didn’t even used to check the emails as well. In August 2008 I thought of getting the card cancelled as I was not using it, but the customer service executive updated that use have been charged an amount of Rs 2383.50 dated 21st December 2007 on behave of Big Bazaar Bangalore. I had left Bangalore around October 2006 & only went to Bangalore only around September 2007 & never after that. So the amount mentioned above is an Unauthorized Transaction (fraud) & shall be checked. I have been charged the late payment & many other things for no reason.

                                    Now finally they sent me the legal notice & I had to finally pay them Rs 2542 as a settlement amount. That is really bad not in the sense that I had to pay that amount but in the sense that I had to pay the amount which is a fraud transaction & no body did anything. Please help

                                    And you deserve this absolutely since you are careless about protecting the privacy of the credit card!

                                    It is evident that you posted your credit card number in plain text on the internet!!

                                      The ICICI Credit Card EDC terminals in Big Bazar Old Madras Road, Bangalore never works!!...

                                      The same company woo the customers to subscribe for Future Credit Card. The Future card is a loyalty cum Credit card of Future Holdings and You will get the full benefit of this card if and only if the card is used in any of the Future Group outlets like Bigbazar, and that too if swiped in an ICICI bank EDC machines in the outlet cash counter.

                                      Every time I visit this outlet, the cash counter guys tell that ICICI EDC is not working and only HDFC EDCs work!!!... Even after several months the authorities never bother to make it alright.

                                      I wonder if it is intentional that they keep it not working, as they need to shell out more loyalty points and benefits to the customers if the card is swiped in ICICI bank EDCs, as promised by the Credit card company at the time of applying the card.

                                      Another fraud by the BIG BAZAR group!!...

                                      Im confused of all the situation whether this company is a fraut or not?
                                      Even it is experietonce that big bazar group denies accept the vaouchers (discout) issued along with future card & does not have any credibility, i request all ICICI future card holders to surrender the card stating the reason of dis-satisfaction from ICICI & future group, the ICICI bank always reason for non receipt of cheques even if drop any number of day before payment due date . Conclusion both companies are big frauds, beaware of both compnies
                                      Big bazzar guys not accepting bigbazzar discount coupons which is claimed against credit card reward points.

                                        I shopped at Big Bazaar, Hyderabad, RTC Crossroads shopping center on Saturday, 13th September 2008 (Cash Memo # T22/5973 dt 13/09/2008 for Rs 2288/-) and have the following experiences to share:

                                        1. It took almost 30 mins to get my billing completed given the slow IT platform...
                                        2. The person at the free gift counter was not available for atleast 20 mins thereby creating a huge queue in front of the counter
                                        3. The person at the free gift counter (N. Raju) was found not to be diligently carrying out his duties. Even though he checked line by line my bill for a free gift (as I asked him to), he told me none of the items had any free gifts until I pointed out to him otherwise.
                                        4. While the super market claimed free home delivery within 5km for purchase of Rs 1000/- or more, N. Raju refused to grant me that siting that the same relates to food items only, even though my house is situated less than 2km and I made purchase for above Rs 2K... This came in as a surprise no such conditions were explicit in the offer... The floor manager was also not available for comment.

                                        As a result of all these, I have decided not to shop at Big Bazaar till such time this retail chain continues to recruit and encourage incompetence...
