Sub: Non delivery of Neptune dishwasher inspite of making a FULL payment of Rs.26500/- on 20/05/2011
Dear Sir,
I made a payment of Rs.26500 on 20/5/2011 to purchase a IFB Neptune dishwasher. The payment was made at IFB POINT, 18 D, Jawaharlal Nehru Salai (100 Feet Road), 1st Floor, Koyambedu, Chennai - 600107. Tel. 2479 2363, 3242 9235. I was given a stamped collection detail slip with no. 3802. Till date, the dishwasher has not been delivered!! The response that I get from the director Sharma S[protected] and his agent Ramesh (to whom I made the payment) is appalling!! They keep telling lies and give false promises. I was told that there was no stock and that it'll take 2 days, 3 days...etc by Ramesh. Today its 04 Jun 2011..When I call they just get me off the phone telling some lie and giving some false hope that they'd call back. They never do! The director even tried telling me once that it was the wrong no. when I called and finally gave his phone to the agent to get rid of me! I have been cheated to the tune of Rs.26500! My hard earned money and I'm given the run around. All this started when one girl Lakshmi [protected] kept calling me again and again and again for over a month(A MONTH) kept routinely calling me at odd hours disturbing my sleep(I work in night shift). I was woken up by the persistent phone calls many times. Finally I consented to buy the dishwasher and took great effort to go to Nungambakkam as directed by her only to find that the lady there quoted a different pricing and didn't have the payment option that I wanted. I was disappointed and gave up. But still the constant inflow of calls continued and finally I again consented and travelled all the way to IFB point Koyambedu to make the payment only to complain to you now :( This experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I've always had a high reputation for your company. The customer service is horrible. We get to talk to irresponsible, pathological liars. I do understand out of stock issues but why was it not conveyed to me before I made the payment? Why didn't they call when they promised they'd call regarding the delivery? Why is taking more than 10 days to deliver a product? I have lost faith! I have a microwave and a washing machine from your company. I'd appreciate any compensation for all the inconveniences that I had to undergo..my sleep getting disturbed inspite of telling the call center girl not to call when I was sleeping, the time spent, the false promises made, the consistent lies, the payment hassles, the mental torture and the long eternal wait after making the payment. If nothing can be done please refund my HARD EARNED money of Rs.26500/-. Kindly redress my grievance at the earliest.

My experiment with IFB washing machine began when I purchased it eight years ago. Every thing was smooth till it had a breakdown.
These consumer durables like washing machine require regular servicing, so I purchased a service contract with IFB. I have it almost for six years in which I have almost paid the original amount of the machine.
My trouble began almost fortnight before when my w/m stopped moving and came to a grinding halt. I immediately lodged a complaint at the customer care. The customer care gave me a customary answer in a voice of silken fabric – ‘your call will be attended in a day or two.’
To my and everybody’s shock even after thirteen days my washing machine is left in lurch without being attended. I made several calls at Ahmedabad IFB office. They kept promising but to no avail. I also contacted franchisee office, but I met with curt answers.
This is a poor advertisement for IFB. After paying so much for service contract, I received a shoddy treatment from IFB. I am harassed and disillusioned. My old parents do not know what to do with dirty clothes. I have been paying Rs.40 a day to the domestic help and still she is not regular.
IFB boasts of good service network and a whopping sale, but has it ever thought about customer satisfaction? It’s my bad luck that I recently ended up purchasing IFB microwave. I know I am doomed.
IFB is good as long as it has no service problem.
Think…. Think…. Before you buy IFB!
