Dear IFB Washing machine prospective customers,

I had gone to one of a reputed showroom in Guntur for purchase of IFB Senator Washing Machine.

To my utter surprise, the showroom salesperson advised against going in for purchase of IFB Washing Machine citing after sales service issues and lack of trained technicians to rectify any problem. He also added that life becomes miserable once any complaint arises. When I requested him to suggest some alternative make, he politely refused and asked to look for the same on my own by referring to friends and relatives.

Pls consult existing users before buying IFB washing machines.

      Respected sir,

      This is with regard to our ifb dishwasher. We have an ifb dishwasher neptune model, which we have been using for about four and a half years now. Suddenly during the first week of december 2010 the machine suddenly stopped working and we registered a complaint with the ifb authorized franchise service center at anna nagar, chennai which is being run in the name of sai enterprises [address - ap732, gblock, 2nd street, 11th main road, anna nagar west, chennai 600040. Phone [protected]/[protected]] by a person by name mr elumalai, after repeated calls and constant chasing for nearly more than fifteen days a technician by name mr boopathy was sent. Some haphazard job was done only to end in futility and we were told that the program chip[neptune pcb and hose] needed to be replaced and were asked to pay an amount of 4200, for which an sbi cheque for the amount was given by my father. The cheque was en cashed within a couple of days but no one from ifb came and replaced the parts. So the chasing and phone calls continued for another fifteen days after which mr elumalai came and replaced the parts, but the machine functioned partially but there was a leak and our kitchen was flooded. We were again asked to shell out another 1800 rupees on 17/01/2011 for an aqua filter replacement to control the leek and after en cashing the money again no one turned up. So continued the chasing and repeated phone calls, where in mr elumalai convinced us that he could check the machine and set it right only at the service center and not at our home. So it was taken to the service center on the pretext of setting it right within three days and deliver it back. Even after 22 days the machine was not delivered back to us and the concerned person would avoid answering our repeated calls or would keep his phone switched off or else someone at his office would pick the call and say that he was unavailable. Again we had to literally repeatedly knock at his doorstep every day and beg him to deliver our machine. Then after we told him that we would wait no but had no other option but to proceed legally against his enterprise the machine was delivered on last saturday evening[12/02/2011], but it was not installed. Now he is dillydallying to come and fix the machine and has not sent any technician so far. Ifb is morally responsible for all the ordeal, troubles and harassment that we have undergone for the past nearly two months. The license of such careless and non service oriented establishments should be cancelled and they should be prevented from cheating people by giving them all kind of lofty and rosy promises at the time of sales.in spite of shelling out huge amount of money for replacement of parts we are still unable to use the equipment due to the callous and arrogant nature of the ifb company as well as its franchise service center. My sincere advice to all citizens never go in for purchase of any ifb products, they offer the worst after sales services and have only half baked technicians who do not know to do their job. Hope i can get some justice for all troubles we have undergone, as we had even cancelled our appointment with doctors when some of our house member's health were not so good and waited for these people's services based on their false un kept lousy promises and deadlines.

        SUB : Defective IFB Washing Machine & Inefficient Service

        I had purchased my IFB Washing machine in May 27 2007. Since inception, my washing machine has been giving me immense problem which has not been rectified as of today. In support of my complain I am giving below some of my complain number related to one problem and that is when the machine is on run it make a horrible sound.

        On November 30, 2010 I made a similar complaint regarding the sound that the machine was making when on the run. The service engineer who came to attend the complaint told us that the trolly built by the company for the machine is defective, hence the sound in the machine and insisted to purchase the new trolly launched by the company recently. He further asked to add a water filter for improved washing. We bought the water filter and he attached it to the machine itself However, no receipt of the filter bought has been given to us till date. He also changed the start button as there was some problem with it also.
        The very next day when I put some clothes to be washed, but the machine did not budge and showed E-7 error. We again lodged a complaint with customer care and posted a mail on December 3, 2010 for the same (reply to which is still awaited). The engineer came to see the machine and said that there is some problem with the Digital Board and he changed the Digital board of the machine. But as soon as he went off the machine is not working at all and showed E2 error i.e. insufficient water supply. From that day we actually learnt about the E2 errors mentioned in the IFB manual.
        After that many verbal complaint has been lodged with your Branch Service Head in New Delhi (Ms. Deepika ) and Franchise Head (Mr. Hari), as the machine has started giving me problem of E-2 at every wash.
        The Service engineer during one of his visit took out the filter and I hoped that the machine would now work properly, but in vain. The Engineers who come to visit are now saying that the water pressure is not appropriate and hence the E-2 error is showing. Since I was attaching the pipe of the water supply with the tap of my overhead tank (approximate height is about 10 – 12 ft.), he suggested I should go for the fresh water tap. Here I would like to mention that the water supply in our area is only for a hour and none of the programmes in the machine is within the time limit of the water supply (except for quick wash).
        I would like to mention that I do agree with their deliberations, but my logic is that if that is the case why did the machine not showed such an error in past, as the machine is kept in the same place and the same circumstances for the last two years. If it is so then was the Digital Board put earlier in the machine was defective, because all these problems started occurring after its replacement.
        Talking to the service engineer has proved to be futile as they are so rude and discourteous that at time I feel guilty to have even bought the reputed machine like IFB. I would like to ask that whether Service Engineers are only for selling different products of IFB or are they for complaint redressal? Company claims that the complaints are to be attended / rectified within 48 hrs. But I am sorry to say that inspite of my several complaints as evident from above and several delebrations that too for the last 75 days my problem has not been solved.
        I therefore request you to intervene into the matter urgently, so that my faith in IFB remains intact.

          I have purchased a front end load washing machine with model number Elite Dx 5.5 kg on 9th oct. 2010.
          Due to some technical problems, the machine stopped working on 29th Jan 2011, and the same day i lodged a complain with the customer care dept of the IFB Home appliances with complaint number 5820827.

          The company's technician attended the complaint only on 1st feb., that after 4 days of lodging the coomplaint. After inspecting the machine he told me that the PCB of the machine is to be replaced and it may take 2-3 days time.

          10 days have passed since and the company has not taken any step to replace the PCB. I have been following up the matter with their local service centre and call centre. The local service centre said that the spare is not available with them and it has to come from ahmedabad. today i spoke to thier representative at ahmedabad ( Mr. Ketan Hingu) and he informed me that it will take further 3 days as there is an acute shortage of spare parts.

          Is this the way, such a renowned home appliances co. is treating its customers? its a shame that even after 14 days have passed, they r not able to rectify my problem.

            I have purchased IFB Washing machine Senator Model 2 years before. Three months before machine was not working, I have given complaint to customer care. A person came and attended the problem, he said water fell on the motor so its damaged and advised to change the motor and also said it costs Rs. 6500 exclusive of service charges. After that he suggested if you go for 2 years maintenance option it will be less than Rs. 5000 and service free for 2 years. Then I agreed and taken AMC. After 10 days he came and replaced the motor and board the machine was not working properly, then he said the board brought by him is faulty one by mistake he brought it and committed to bring new one on next day. Next day he came and replaced the board and shown me the machine is now working; he said ON/OFF switch will not work needs to be changed but It will be available only after 30 days, and asked him about the fitment of bottom piece (it was not fitted properly) he said during changing the switch he will fit it properly. Next day I was happily started using the machine that time only I found that dryer is not working, immediately I have called the person and informed the problem. After frequent reminder he didn’t come (most of the time he didn’t pick my call) and after 10 days he Cooley said that he is quite busy and asked me to give complaint at customer care. I have registered complaint again, one person Mr. Madhavan came and checked the machine and said the board is faulty and agreed to replace the board. He said after 2 days he will bring the board, after 2 days he called me at evening and said I am on the way to your house and asked me to be at house, I have taken permission from office (my wife also working) and stayed at house. He didn’t come, I called him after 3 calls he attended my call and said he is very near to my house. He didn’t come, this was happened several times; afterwards he avoid to attend my calls, one month passed out. I am unable to use my machine since 3 months I am paying Rs. 800/ month for washing our clothes to house maid. Please suggest how to repair my washing machine and also suggest how to take actions against them.

              we had complained in ifb consumer service of our washing machine on 15/6/09 . Our complaint no is 3144092 . but we have not received any service yet. we have informed the customer service for the past 10 days. he has been telling that it will be done within 24 hours. but there is no response from them.

              Dear Sir,

              A Brand new washing Machine was purchased from Girias on 2nd September 2007. Around 12th of this month the machine is not working. A complaint was registered and a technician came and worked on the machine. Again it was in the same condition. after repeated follow-up a new technician was sent for Repair, even after that the problem exist. Around six complaints has been register with repeated follow ups but no response from them. I want the machine to be replace and a compensation be provided for the negligence of service.

              My name is A.Jagadeeswara reddy, & my IFB washing M/c model is Exective plus.Myself entered into Annual maintenance contract in the month of April'2010.The technician who has taken the the amount given a reciept of Annual maintenance contract & told will attend the repair works after one month.he also given one mobile number.so far no person visited to repair the Machine.Tried a lot to the mobile no also but no response.
              My complaint should be solved as soon as possible.

              To whom so ever it may concern,

              I have AMC for about 4 years with IFB, and I have a complaint on my washing machine. My washing machine has a problem in draining the water. we have this major problem since last AMC and no one resolved it. The technicians came for service but didn't even touch the washing machine and said the problem is with the pump and the bearing as it also had some loud noise while washing, but the major problem is not draining the water even after we make it spin twice.
              I am really frustrated with your service as no one resolved my washing machine issue for about 8 months.
              Could you please help us to resolve the washing machine issue or help us to know what further action should I take regarding this unresolved complaint.

              Problem: IFB Washing Machine 6Kg Automatic, ERROR 04,

              On calling IFB service number is[protected]they hardly know anything about service), we got connected with a call back from one Raghvendra. He visited the next day and after doing initial trial and error, he said control board has gone.
              He brought a new board (2700 Rs) and I noticed the display of the machine has dimmed, on telling him the reply was “It was like that only).
              I told him to take the new control board and fix the old one and go.
              His reply was “You call the company people only”, so he was not the company people.
              I complained in the IFB website, but no reply to my complaint.

              Now, the error is still existing, but works fine with cold water wash.

              We are living with it, as we do not have any options.

              I am writing this complaint, to help future buyers of IFB washing machine in Bangalore.
              PLEASE DO NOT BUY, THEY DO NOT HAVE SERVICE.

              More than that they don’t have anybody to address the escalation either.

                Service complaint not attended

                I have a Washing Machine (Elena Ex), it is under AMC, it has not been working and a complain has been lodged since 27.01.2011 (13 days ago) Customer code No. 843891. The service attendants have not taken any action to do the needful. Repeated complains have fallen to deaf ears. Every time i am referred to the same service reference from the help line and my time is wasted. The last time ( on[protected] i was provided a local IFB contact...

                I am having one IFB TOP Loaded Washing machine which was giving some E2 error for which I have logged a complain at IFB call center on 8th of Jan 2011 for which they have given me complain no. 5708153.

                After 3-4 days when no one called and visited to check our machine, I again called there call center and they told me to call to service center and they provided me the no. of that service center.

                After several times calling after 2-3 days they send one engineer to check the machine. The worst thing is that the engineer know nothing about that washing machine he started opening the machine top cover which he didn't know how to open and at last he broken the Top cover of my machine and for excuse he told us that machine is 1 year old and now the plastic is weak and hence it is broken, even we are using IFB original Cover in our machine. Then I complain this to the service center and they committed that it's an engineer mistake and they will replace the TOP cover free of charge.

                But till date it's one month they are continuously making me fool saying that few more day sir. Also they are not even picking up my phone i have to call them more than 20 times a day then only they pick the call.

                If IFB people are reading this than please do the needful and also take some action against that engineer and also given below person who are just making the customer fool.

                  That I had purchased the adove said Washing machine from Bansal Teleshop Ludhiana on 10/12/2008 & on the said date your represtative Gurbinderjeet Singh along with Service centre person Jasbir Sandhu installed it At about 7:30 pm & gave the demo & during the demo of washing the said machine torn the clothes & I immedieatly asked your reprentative Gurwindr jeet singh to take the machine back because it has technical and manufacturing defect but on the request of Gurwinder jeet singh Your company representative to kindly retain the machine & i would remove the fault tommorrow & on the next day Gurwinder jeet singh along with Jasveer Singh came & did something with the machine & removed the fault temporarily but i was not satisfied.After few day there was another problem i.e leakage of water from the washing machine along with the initial complaint for which the complaint was made to your service centre. Then after few days back there was blocking of the main supply of the water to the machine after that the machine gave electric sparking in the lower portion of the machine during the process of washing.

                  During the above said problems no. of complanints were made at your customer care with the following ref. nos.

                  On dated 23/09/10 at about 7:30 pm your service centre representative Mr. Amandeep came & I told him about the leakage of water at the lower portion of the machine he checked the machine & after that told me to load the machine but I informed him that due to odd hours it is difficult so please come tomorrow morning at 10 am and at that time we will load the machine & check it out but he frankly refused to come in the morning.but from that date till today he has not attended the above said complaint 5135307/ dated 20/09/10 id no.1716117. & the same problem is sustaining in the machine.the matter was also brought into the knowledge of service centre incharge Sanjeev Mehra as well as Branch Manager Vishal Malhotra at Ludhinan but no fruitful result was there.

                  I further would like to inform you that your service centre at Ludhiana is giving very poor service to the customers including myself, your service center receptionist Pooja is nerver ready to listen the customer

                  Even Your service center incharge Poonan is not ready to listen the customer whenever any problem brought before her on the phone she frankly says to contact the customer care centre at Calcutta & dose not satisfy the customer & your mechanics Jasvir Singh, Vishal,Amandeep are inefficient & having very poor knowledge of their work & unable to satisfy the customer & only temporarily solves the problem after three or four days of the complaint for which the complainant have to suffer due to poor performance of your above said employess and this is my personal bitter experience

                  I request you that if you please send an efficient officer to verify the above said facts you will come know the poor functioning of your Ludhiana service centre . you will feel how I had to suffer an irrepairable loss & mental torture due to the above said defective machine during the above said period.

                  I would like to inform that I am your customer since 1997 & using lots of products of your company which are performing extraordinaly including the previous washing machine.

                  Please look in to the matter urgently & and an enquiery be conducted & my above said machine be replaced as early as possible.

                    I recently about a IFB washing machine. The first day it self it did not work and he opened some connections and tried to repair.

                    He said that some connection points are not good and we need to remove the parts and fix. I asked not to touch any part and asked him to replace the washing machine. But he said it is not his duty and left the location.

                    After spending 30,000 on a washing machine, I was idle for 15 days and lost my interest for the money I invested. Also I felt very tense and frustrated and got some medical problems and spent around 3000 rupees on medical treatment. I would like some one to take action IFB washing machines managment.

                    Then I had to fight with person who sold it to me and he gave me some IFB contact numbers. I spoke to them intially they did not respond properly, but when I told them that I will raise an issue in Consumer form, he was bit frightened and then told that he will get back to me after 2 days. However, he got back to me in week and told that your washing you will replaced in 2 working days. But the machine came after 7 days. So totally it took me around 15 working days to replace the product.

                    I would suggest every one to log complaints to get faster response.

                    IFB WASHING MACHINE — DONT BUY IFB WASHING MACHINE

                    I have purchased a IFB washing machine on 2006, and from Mar 2008 I am facing serious problems with the system and service engineer keep on changing parts which costs from Rs 1000/- - Rs 6000/-. Staff's of service centre are keep on telling lie and giving us a fake assurance.

                    Request readers ... PLEASE DONT BUY ANY OF IFB PRODUCT. ITS JUST MISUSE OF YOUR HARD EARN MONEY.
                    Dear Sir, I purchased IFB top loading washing from Ashoka Trading Faridabad-121002 in Dec 2007 under 24 months warrenty. It, s gear box started making big noise in july 2009, I filed complaint no 3303509 dt 27/07/2009.After repeated calls mechanic visited on 29/07/2009 and informed gear box requires replacement.He promised to replace gear box on 03/08/2009. On 03/08/2009, To my surprise, he informed gear bog is out of stock and asked me to contact Mr Amit Anand for early replacement. IFB do not have organised service set up I would recommend not to purchase any IFB product.BK Gupta

                      This is to bring to your immediate attention that the after sales services provided by your company and your authorized franchisees have been extremely disappointing and frustrating. This is despite of being in the annual maintenance contract for 2 years beginning from 24th October 2010.


                      There is a water leakage from inlet water pipe which is joined to the machine. The leakage has occurred due to the repairs which were being carried out by the technicians. Note that prior to this there has never been any water leakage from the inlet water pipe of the machine.

                      The table top of the machine has got separated and yet needs to be stuck back to its place.


                      A complaint for the above was made at IFB’s customer care, complain no. 5733691. Technicians state that the inlet water pipe will have to be replaced. However, the technicians are not ready to take the responsibility of the same and have asked us to bear the cost of the same, Irrespective of the fact that the same has happened due to their negligence.


                      Following are the list of events that occurred during the period which would give you a clear idea:


                      1. A complain was made at the IFB customer care in October 2010 for water leakage problem from my washing machine. Technicians from Elite Services i.e. your authorized franchisee were sent for checking the machine.


                      2. Those technicians mentioned that the inner drum/tub needs to be changed. The drum/tub was changed on 24th October 2010, cost for the same amounted to Rs. 2,750/- which has been duly paid. However, there was water leakage again on the next very day and the second time top hose and bottom hose were changed, amounting to Rs. 350/-.

                      At this point it I believe that the original drum/tub did not require any replacement.


                      3. Later there was problem with the timer which did not switch off automatically when the cycle of the machine would finish. Many reminders and calls were made over a period of two months at your authorized franchisor (Elite) for the same.

                      The circuit for the same was changed.


                      4. The next very day the machine’s water heater stopped working. The days prior to and on the day when the technician turned up to check the heater there was no water leakage from the machine. However, when the technicians were working on the machine there was water leakage. It was assumed that that was just for time being since the work was under process.

                      Later at night there was again water leakage and this time it was from the inlet water pipe.

                      We complained at the IFB customer care and also spoke to the Mr. Wasim, Manager of Elite Services, situated at Mahim, Mumbai – 400 016. I was informed that if the fault had occurred due to the technician then we would not be charged for the same. However, the technicians do not accept that fault happened while they were working on the machine. Temporarily the technicians have stuck “M-seal” on the inlet pipe though that has not served the purpose.


                      I may also mention that the staff at Elite Services has been very rude in communicating.


                      In view of the above incidences and the kind of services that have been provided up to date I am not wrong in thinking that the drum/tub did not require any change and that unnecessary expenses have been borne by me for the same. I am forced to think that the technicians of the company change the parts irrespective of the fact whether the problem will be solved or not, just because that the customer is going to bear the cost.


                      In case of the leakage from the inlet water pipe I decline to bear the cost (Rs. 450/- as mentioned by technicians at Elite Services) since that is not my fault. Just proves that how customer friendly is IFB Industries Ltd.


                      I am sure you will be aware that there are huge number of customers out there how are absolutely frustrated with the kind of services that they have been receiving from IFB. I am personally aware about 10 people who are have vouched to never purchase any IFB products in future.


                      Also note that we have been informed by the technicians that the customers are not given any “job card”.


                      Look into the matter at the earliest and get me a replacement done for the inlet pipe or I will have to go to the senior management.

                      IFB, washing machine,senator(model) — poor service

                      We have purchased IFB washing machine(senator, 6kg) model on october2007.Right from the installation with in a month or 2 I'm facing problem with the machine.Even the technician come, same or the other problem arises within a short period.In my experience the technicians are not skilled persons.Each time of complaint the technician changes and suggests some or other tips and make us buy their IFB products .recently 15 days back the servicemen had taken our machine to their service station and returned after 5days.The problem instead of rectifying it was enhanced making our clothes more wrinkled and uncontrolled temperature.We are lodging complaint since we identified the problem for many times.once the technician came, just opened the machine and touched some wires and said ur problem was rectified.But it is not true so.I'm complaining to the call center since one week but no response from service man.My washing machine in warranty period only.I need to replace the washing machine or need the best service so that I must not complain again atleast for few years.

                      IFB Customer Service is poor is now a widely accepted fact. None of the business honchos peddling the of their product are concerned. By the time the poor customer falls prey it is too late & the buggers are laughing away with their swelling coffers. They have a 'ZILCH' as a customet support service with rude franchisee in toe with good for nothing untrained & unprofessional technicians.

                      With the compliants pouring in I wonder if the guys running IFB are all DEAF, DUMB & BLIND to be able to digest so much amount of . Seems they have really a very strong appetite...!!!

                        I had contacted IFB for servicing my Senator Washing Machine in Nov 2010. Finally they sent someone and he made me change parts worth Rs 6230 saying the machine was perfect and would last another 5-10 years after the repair.

                        With-in 2-3 days the machine started leaking and I was told that the casing had got damaged and I had to shell out another Rs 1800 for it. So I was virtually inching towards spending the cost a new washing machine without any guarantee of how long it would last.

                        I then checked with dealers and realised that IFB had the WORST service in the industry and their servce centres have started conning people. I completely agree with them.

                        I have been calling Perfect Cool every day and they never land up. Till they get the money they are prompt.

                        PLEASE NEVER BUY IFB MACHINES AGAIN.

                        Sadly I am an IFB user for more than 15 years and now have to switch.

                          Dear officer,
                          I am holding this product from last more than 3 years and recently this is not working in any other mode except GRILL mode, I have made a request as above:
                          1. On 28 Dec’10, Technicians Mr. Ravinder came from local service center (DIALUP Home service) and he checked the oven, unfortunately that time there were no electricity in house, his observations are as under:
                          a. Megatone is faulty
                          b. Reason for Megatone failure is Power fluctuation
                          c. It require regulated supply to run the IFB Microwaves due to power fluctuation in whole Faridabad
                          On requesting to put these observations on paper, he refused and walk away from house.
                          2. Again, after making so many request to local center, to send some senior technician, they again send the same fellow on 29 Jan’11 and that time electricity was available and he checked the oven after bypassing Megatone (as per him) and again declare that Megatone is faulty and its costing around Rs. 2000. This time also he refused to put these observations on paper.
                          In view of the above I am very much disappointed with this IFB product and feel that investing around Rs. 2000 on repairing of a Product of around Rs. 3000 is not worthwhile, moreover I need to purchase a Stabilizer specifically for IFB oven, whereas my other appliances like LCD, Refrigerator, Air conditioners etc. (other than IFB Brand) are working very smoothly without and regulated supply.
                          My sincere request is to please look into the matter very seriously as I am also an Electrical Engineer and am not fully convinced with the justification given by your technician.
                          Please advise me for further course of action, as I am not able to avail the facility of Microwave for more than 2 months.

                            From bad to worse, is the experience that I have with IFB. If you really want to test your patience levels, call IFB service engineers and I am sure you will fail miserably.

                            I have been repeatedly giving complaints about my washing machine which is not working since few months. To my dismay, I hear that my complaint was cancelled per my request. Dunno how????

                            When you try reaching the superiors following the escalation matrix, you get even more frustrated. No response... No action taken...

                            Thanks IFB for Giving this wonderful experience.

                            Bottomline: Buy an IFB washing machine at your own risk.

                              I am Pankaj Rathod from Arakkonam, Tamilnadu, India. I paid for Annual Maintenance Contract of my IFB Microwave Oven on 06.09.2010 to IFB service Person. My oven got faulty before three months and since then i have been lodging a complain online, and calling their customer care. The service person named Siva comes and makes me fool by telling that i will come with the spares next week and then he comes after a month, when complained for four to five times. IFB sevice department want to just pass the time so that my AMC period expires. The product they sold to me got faulty just in 14 months and now since three months i have been complaining and also paid for the AMC but they are not turning up for the repair. Purchasing a IFB product was one of the biggest mistake i made and suffering since then.

                                I have bought an IFB machine from QRS Kollam,Kerala [Senator 6 KG]

                                At the time of installation itself it was having sound and when we have asked the technician about that and his reply was “It will be having sound at the beginning for some days because it is a new one”
                                My brother is having the same IFB machine and it not having sound. How come he can tell such things!!!

                                I doubt that QRS or IFB personals who have installed have cheated me by keeping a used machine or a complaint one.

                                It’s a clear case of cheating!!!
                                I want it replaced with a new one at the earliest. Hope u can understand my situation.
                                Pls don’t ever do this to a customer who trusts IFB.

                                  I have a IFB washing machine with me. The AMC for the machine is very much in place continuously without any break. I had a problem last month and registered a complaint with IFB customer care centre on 6th of Jan 2011. Service personnel came two days later and checked the system. Told that a part, flush filter, needs to be replaced and it is chargeable. I agreed to the same. I waited for about 15 days he never turned up neither replied my calls. I visited their local service centre, which happens to be at second street from my home. To my dismay, their response, was totally unacceptable and irresponsible. Their attitude was very rude, even when they came to my home. I waited for a week more, and then again checked with their centre on Feb 1 2011. They informed that it will get rectified shortly. Till date it is not resolved. They dont bother to give a responsible answer, neither attempt to resolve the issue. My complaint number with IFB customer care is 5687455 dated 6th Jan 2011. Water is continuously leaking and there are chances my family getting shocks. Not to say the amount water getting wasted in these days of water scarcity. Everyday is an ordeal for me and my family affecting my health due unnecessary stress.
                                  I need help and compensation for this issue.

                                    My IFB washing machine which is under AMC started malfunctioning a month back.As usual I called up the customer support and registered a complaint .Following and that the problem was unattended for nearly a week and called up the customer support again and registered a fresh complaint this tame they gave me the telephone number of the IFB service agent who is serving my area.

                                    Then on I started calling the service agent (who most of the time do not pick up the call). Finally a week long repeated calling and follow up a technician came and did some repairing work. After finishing the work he told me that the Rubber belt needs to be replaced and descaling to be done. He charged me Rs. 750 for descaling (used 5 packets of descaling powder costing rs. 150 each) and rs. 650 for the Rubber belt. I really don't know if the rubber belt really costs rs. 650? Do they used 5 packets for descaling?
                                    Ultimately ,what happened was that he put the washing machine on with the descaling agent (and told me that it has to run for a full washing cycle for 2 hours) and left. The machine did not even work for 30 minutes it stopped and the Rs.750 worth descaling agent flew out !

                                    What should I do? Who should I trust? IFB company can easely wash their hands by pointing finger at an ill trained employee of a 3rd party service agent? And the 3rd party agent is finding ground to extract money from the customers with or without the knowledge of IFB! There is no accountability and responsibility at both ends with this type of customer support! But customer has no way out but suffer !!...

                                    1- I have taken the AMC by paying Rs 3256. As per the AMC agreement rubber parts like belt is not excluded in the AMC but still after showing the agreement your Pune service person charged Rs 580 for the belt and after several talks with the head of your Pune service associate Mr Manoj, he admitted the mistake. But still I have not received the refund amount.

                                    2- Even after the first service still there are some other faults in the m/c like unbearable noise while spinning with load, level of water in the chamber is different in normal (A-C)and easy mode operation. In easy mode operation, level of water can be visible from the glass but in normal mode the water level is 2 inch bellow the glass. I suspect it might be a problem.

                                    3- IFB service persons are really unprofessional and talking to them is a terribly unpleasant experience. They do not know how to behave with ladies in the house. They don’t have time to listen you nor did they interest to check the m/c. They are trying to force us what they are saying that is final and they don’t care if you complain about it. Here I would like to name the most pathetic and disgusted service person I have ever seen - Mr Vikash

                                    4- From last 6 -7 days I am calling IFB Call Center every day for the status of my above complain (Ticket no 3523158, 3466879) but each time they have the same answer, “Our system is slow we can’t able to check your status but we understand your dissatisfaction and will forward the same to higher authority.” This repeats like a stuck tape.
