[Resolved]  IFB Senator Washing Machine — Bad Service

Dear Sir/Madam,

I bought an IFB washing machine (Senator 6 kg) 4 years ago. Recently, I started getting some problems in my washing machine. When called for service, I was asked to renew AMC. I did the same and then asked them to rectify the problems. A service engineer from one AYUSH SERVICES came to my home and replaced the shock absorber. I observed that his service was rude and he was mishandling the parts. After he fixing the new shock absorber, he left. Then on, the washing machine was making loud noises. It is unbearably loud like juggling steel balls in a heavy drum. We did not have that problem before. I am sure he did something inside the machine, which broke the ball bearing assembly.
I registered a complaint with IFB and have been following up for the past 2 weeks. Nobody is turning up and they always give one reason or another and avoiding me. The washing machine has stopped working now. I want to register a complaint and take serious action against them. Please guide me as to how to proceed on this

IFB Washing Machine - Senator — Poor customer service

In the month of july I have placed a complaint regarding my washing machine for drum leakage. A service engineer came to my door step and acquired a AMC from me for replacement of the drum. But still the replacement is not made inspite of giving N number of reminder calls to the concerned person. The local service centre says that the complaint is closed. They provide such a poor service to customers.

IFB Senator Washing Machine — Pathetic AMC Service

I am residing at Mumbai (Bandra west). I have a IFB washing m/c (Model: Senator Sr.No:21993) which is covered under your AMC.There was a problem on the m/c and a complaint was lodged on 14.10.08. Complaint Ref: 2294732 .

On 14th evening, your service person came, inspected the m/c and said that the motor has to be replaced and that he would bring and fit the new motor soon.

It is now 6 days since the complaint was made and nothing really has happened. I and my family is put to a lot of hardship and inconvenience.I am simply appalled at the way your customer care is responding to our numerous calls. Every time we have to brief the case history and we are being asked to contact 101 persons to get the complaint attended. To put it simply, your customer care people are playing " Shuttlecock" with us.

I am sure your company has some benchmarks/norms on service delivery to the customers and by any standards the service delivery being rendered to me will be nowhere near your norms.

I hope you will look into the complaint more seriously and have it resolved immediately without further loss of time.

IFB Senator Washing Machine — WE HAVE AMC AND MY COMPLAINT NO I S2386451 COMPLAINED ON 5/11/2008 NO ONE HAS STILL COME IN SPITE OF REPEATED TEL CALLS

i have AMC with the IFB for my washing machine SENATOR my ticket no is 2386451which was done on 5/11/2008.
till date no person has called or no visit from the company after repeated calls I AM NOT ABLE TO USE MY WASHING MACHINE

i m six years old ifb customer. i have a washing machine of senator model. and now iam under AMC. from the last six month i am facing the difficulties. my machine is not working properly. i have lodged the complaints many times. but till date result is same. no one is attending complaint. I am not able to under stand the reasons for this casual attitude. presen ally my complaint no. is 2515258.
we are forced to throw away our old washing machine because no one hears the complaint inspite of AMC

I had registered a complaint regarding my IFB Senator Sr.No.B 10055 under AMC 190007 on 14th sept.Complaint no.3489833. Technicians came16th checked and i was told that the motor has to be replaced. Registered a second complaint on the same day complaint no.3505961. It has not been attended to till date and when checked with your local service centre ,i was told that the motor of the model is not available! How long is this going to take? Kindly do the needfull

I had purchased this IFB senator washing machine almost a two years ago, the warranty period of which ends in Jan 2010. Since its purchase problem persists. no satisfaction is achieved. please rectify.

I have IFB washing machine and also a service contract for two years. I complained about unusual noise when spinning. couple of months ago my complaint no 3515961 was attended and it was found that a rubber seal was damaged. That time i told the engineer who attended the complaint, that there might be water leakage and bearing may need change. After couple of months ,the machine started making noise during spining cycle. therefore I register complaint on26/9/2009.(complaint no 3669410). First 5 to 6 days no body attended the complaint. after that one maintance person came and opened the machine and confermed that bearing needs change. since he needs to bring the required components from store, He went back keeping machine out of order. I thought the person would come and do the job on that afternoon. bue to my surprise he went to Yewala and two days he did not turn up. yesterday he came and he found that the drum needs change. so he went back to fetch drum but did not turn up.nor he had a courtacy to ring back to me regarding the position. This morning when I phoned him, he says the shop is closed because of shifting and that he will not be attending the complaint for the next two days.
I do not like the way the service is provided by the company. I suspect that some private business is going on behind. we are retired persons and need services promptly.I request that you look in to this problem urgently

i purchased ifb senator 6kg washingh machine on 31oct2009.from Ambala Cantt from dealer saugat After installation i found that drum in the machine was not circular it was dented.Morover the working of the machine is not proper.It doesnot spin, the cloth remains wet.Overall the product form the day i got was defective.please do your best.

I register a complaint on 26th October 2009.The complaint no was 3669410. At the time of registering complaint, I was told that a service person wouls come and visit in 24 hours. But acually the maintance person visited on 4th November2009. On that day he opened the machine and confermed that bearings need replacement. This I suspected as there was a water leak through rubber sealing fixed near the bearings.since beariongs were not with him, he kept machine out o[censored]se assuring me that he will bring the material quickly. The maintance person voisited agin on 9th or so and told me that tyhe problem is with drum as the bushing attached to the drum was damaged. This I could see and agree. The solution was to change drum. He told me that drum need to be ordered from Pune.. The request was made and when I phoned to your Pune office, I was told that the drum has left stores on saturday7th. Afgter chasing two times the machine was finally repaired onfriday 13th.
The machine is working fine aI the moment.I was put to inconvenience unnecessarily for a long period. of time.

IFB Senator — WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

Sir/Madam,

I had a problem with my washing Machine and lodged a complaint on 24/4/2010 complaint No. 423963. I have a valid AMC from IFB, but till date the my problem has not been solved. Everyday I keep on calling your Customer care, yet solution has been provided. Customer care representatives gave landline numbers for Esclating the issue, but those were useless for me. As I called those numbers no one picks up the call or the line automatically rejects my number. I am just writing this mail in much distress and anguish, If IFB does not solve my issue this day, I would be forced to claim legal action against IFB. Its up to you IFB and service partners in Chennai to realise the seriousness of this issue.

IFB Senator — Very poor service

I am shalini malik.My husband is in the army and we are posted to Bihar ASC Center north Paharpur Gaya. My machine is under AMC and AMC no. is 196228.My machine is not working from last two days it's steel tub has stopped rotating.I lodged a complaint on 16th of aug in the morning 6:00a.m and taday is 17th of aug 5:00p.m and nobody has come to repair my machine.I've rang 6-7 times but they are not taking it seriously.Every time I call there is different person to answer the call and every time I've to repeat the phone no address after that they assure but no work on ground.

I've two children son 7 years old and daughter is 15 months old.The weather is also very unpredictable.I am having very tough time and I belive that once the product is sold afterwards it's customers problem.Very poor service I've seen and facing it.

I have an IFG Senator 6kg. It was running perfectly for almost 3 years. For the last 1 month we observed a leak of drops of water from the bottom of the washer (and the washer is in good condition). So I decided to call customer service. Within a day the service person came and he opened up the front panel and cover (without asking me what is the issue and even I didn’t tell the issue assuming that the customer service lady might have conveyed it to him). Then he asked me to bring a cleaning cloth. When I returned back to him with a cloth, he told me that, the important micro controller circuit is burned-out and that is why your washer is not running. And it costs rs.2500+. I got shocked and asked is that also the reason that the washer is leaking water  !!? Then the guy asked me back "is it leaking?" I really got pissed-off. When he switched the power on, I found the washer is not running. I immedialty smelled something fishy and asked the guy to pack-up. Any how he demanded Rs.350 for service charge! GOD.. We Indians are really poor/innocent in all sense. Before the guy leaving the house, I asked him to test the washer once again and confirmed that the washer now is not running.

Later after the guy left, I opened up the washer again and did a mind analysis. To the core of "shockingness", I found 3 electric connectors disconnected.
1. that is connected to the micro-controller circuit board.
2. that is connected to main motor
3. that is connected to the coil near the coin collector.

I connected all of them back and the washer is now running perfectly.

Regarding the water leak.. it is coming from a small hole on a rubber connector near the coin collector.. I sealed with MSEAL and rubber-solution..

See.. How people are cheating
The problem is still not resolved. Both the service provider and the customer care manager from IFB are avoiding my calls? Can someone please guide me how to lodge a complaint formally with consumer court?

No post sale support even in warranty period

I purchased a microwave oven and filed a complaint on feb 26 2015 when the exhaust fan in it stopped working. Since then I have been calling them daily but nobody attends the issue. It is still in the warranty period.
