Thanks for this great initiative from your end. I am in need of your help and would be thankful to you if you could help us.

My name is Rajesh Garg and we purchased IFB washing machine almost 2 years back. We have been facing lot of issues since last few months and logged several requests and followed endlessly (on phone/emails/request IDs logged as below with IFB customer care) with IFB customer care to get our IFB washing machine's recurring problem resolved:

1. Request ID: 6233946 dated 21st April, 2011
2. Request ID: 6399490 dated 21st May, 2011
3. Request ID: 6901791 dated 7th August, 2011
4. Request ID: 7350604 dated 9th Oct, 2011
5. Request ID: 7444753 dated 21st Oct, 2011

However, even after following up with several people at IFB office as well as customer care, the problem remains unattended/unresolved. I would like to put some facts to this issue again:

1. My machine has been giving problem since the month of March, 11 and several requests (as mentioned above in my mail) have been logged with customer care.
2. As soon as the machine went out of warranty, I was told that some parts have become faulty (including shockers). The problem has been same everytime when the request was logged that the washing machine stops intermittently while running and washing clothes. Everytime, the IFB engineer comes and tells us that there is no issue in the machine. In the 2nd last request (marked bold), the engineer told us that the parts are bad and it will take INR 7K to repair the machine which is worth INR 14K. I do not understand why we are being asked to pay for the parts which have been creating problems for almost 6 months now. Pls note that a part like shockers cannot go down on the day of machine going out of warranty. These should have been repaired under warranty when the requests were logged for the same recurring problem so many times.
3. I was also told that the PCB of the machine needs replacement and is additionally chargeable, however, just to inform you that the same is working fine after a small tweaking of setting in the washing machine by a person from a different service center.
4. The AMC of this machine was not taken despite asking for the same. This means that there was something seriously wrong somewhere with the customer service people.

Please note that I have been calling since last several days now and everytime I have been told that I will receive the call from IFB customer service. Nevertheless, I never received any call. However, when I wrote a mail to them stating that I will approach consumer forum, I finally received the call as follows:
1. Call from Ms. Deepika Yadav, IFB representative on 27th December, 11 stating and assuring that the machine will be repaired within a week as a special case free of cost accepting the lapses at IFB customer service end.
2. The same lady called again after a week stating that they would be charging for the repairs. I do not understand the change of stance again after a week.

This case shows that there is a complete lack of commitment for customers, cheating on account of the support executive who used to visit us everytime (during warranty) as well as some senior executives within IFB (who committed that the machine is being repaired within a week, but not done). It seems that there is a big nexus within IFB customer care who is involved in cheating customers during warranty period and then sending inflated bills for repairs and harass customers like us. I hope someone senior in IFB looks at such customer dissatisfaction and harassment at India as well as global level.

As a result of this, I have no option, but to approach your esteemed forum for help as these issues were deliberately neglected by IFB when the machine was in warranty.

    My machine is under AMC SINCE 26/08/2011. This machine is not working since 15/02/2012. I have lodged several Complaints at local service centre phone no.[protected] and at your customer care[protected] but machine has not been repaired till today i.e.29/02/12. I get only assurances.

      SIR, I BOUGHT IFB FRONT LOAD WASHING MACHINE FROM ELECTRONICS CHAIN " NEXT RETAIL SHOP" BILL NO 32802, DATE OF PURCHASE 29/09/2011. THE PRODUCT DETAIL IS MODEL DIGITAL 7KG DIRECT DRIVE. THE MACHINE MADE LOT OF NOISE WHILE RUNNING AND EVEN HAD TORN MANT CLOTHES. WE CONTACTED THE CUSTOMER CARE AND THE COMPLAINT WAS ATTENDED AND WE WERE SUGGESTED THAT LEVEL OF THE MACHINE IS NOT PROPER. IT NEEDS AN INSTALLATION STAND WHICH WE BOUGHT FROM THE COMPANY. STILL THERE IS NO CHANGE IN NOISE LEVEL AND MACHINE IS STILL TEARING EXPANSIVE CLOTHES. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS THE INHERENT PROBLEM WITH FRONT LOAD MACHINES.
      I REQUEST THE COMPANY TO LOOK INTO THE MATTER URGENTLY AND CHANGE THE PRODUCT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

        I am Harbhajan Singh and I am a resident of Ambala Cantt (Haryana). I have old IFB washing machine that I bought on 16th September 1998 through CSD from Goel Agencies ( which is Closed now), Ambala Cantt – Haryana. Model name is "IFB Supreme".



        For the last 2 months, my machine is not working because the electrical part which drives the motor got damaged. I registered a complain at both Ambala Cantt and Ambala City office in November 2011.

        The executive came to my house and check the faulty part and compelled me for EMI which I refused because of bad service. It is now more than a month that my complaint is still pending.



        After that, several times I have called the IFB customer care at Ambala but no one took matter seriously. I unfortunately I missplaced the complaint number somewhere.



        I request you to please take this matter seriously so that faulty part get replaced as soon as possible.

          I had purchased a dishwasher machine from IFB on 10.10.2010 which functioned well until late 2011. Towards the end of 2011, the dishwasher started leaving stains on the utensils and the notice of which was brought to the attention of customer service department. The customer service department sent its technicians a few times but the problem could not be fixed. Upon escalating the problem further, they sent the technician to replace one of the parts of the dishwasher. Ever since the part is replaced, the machine has stopped working completely and isnt starting as well. It has been over 1 month, we have been trying to resolve this issue with IFB but they say that the machine was in working state when the technician visited us and delay the matter. The dish-washing machine is under 2 years warranty and I see no problem why the servicing could not be done.

          I am looking to pursue this matter legally and I seek advice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
          IFB has not bothered to revert to this problem. My parents have been trying to reach out to the local office and to the customer service everyday, they dont answer the calls, keep telling that someone will attend the problem in a few hours and no one turns up. IFB has made life HELL for us and harassing us. I would never recommend IFB products to anyone ever if this is the kind of problems we have to face.

            I am using IFB washing machine for the past 8 years and this time i am facing lots and lots of problem with the service agents who is covering our area (PERUNGUDI - CHENNAI). January 12th I made a complaint.. After so many phone calls (which caused me a lot) and shoutings, last THURSDAY (9/2/12) one person came very late and did not even open the machine asked me to try other options.. Next day i tried (FRIDAY) other options which did not work.. but till date no one showed up .. don't know what to do.. Help me out.. Agents no. is [protected].....

              Inlet pipe is leaking. Thus the washing machine could not be used.
              I have been urging the local service centre at Thanjavur, Tamilnadu state for the past one month. They give least attention to the complaint. I have been reminding them every three days personally.but of no use. I regret very much for such poor state of after sales service of your firm.

              IFB — leaking washing machine

              My washing machine has been leaking for a long time now. I have complained about this, and their technicians have done nothing about this.
              ifb senator washing macvhine purchased in 2000.
              Nopw inlet pipe is leaking very badly.
              My complaint to the local service centre is not being attended to
              inspite of my repeated personnal request on every three days for the past one month.
              If this is going to be your attitude you may earn a bad name among the customers.
              company wii be at a loss to know the down trend in the days to come.
              Could you please advice the service centre at Thanjavur town to attnd to the complaint atleast now?

                I had taken an AMC for Elena automatic washing machine of IFB on Dec 1st 2011. Unfortunately the machine started making lot of sound within 2 weeks and i asked the service representative to visit us. only after 2 weeks does the service guy come and tells me that some particular part has to be changed and is currently not available with them. Since then i have called the helpline no., the service centre's no., the area manager service's no. innumerable times but all in vain. the machine is dead now for more than 40 days and still no one has come to repair it.
                The service centre is FREEZE INDIA ENGINEERS, SA ROAD, COCHIN-20. My receipt no. is 941 dt 01.12.11

                IFB/washing machine — No service during AMC

                I have got AMC for washing machine done for 2 years. No body comes unless I call them. The machine makes noise while running and experts in Agra are not able to rectify it. How many visits of service person is mandatory during AMC? There is burning smell when final rinsing for 10 min takes place. I have complaint this but no body attends.

                IFB — DRUM LEAKING AND NO BODY ATTENDS

                I PURCHASED A IFB (SERENA 5.5 KG) WASHING MACHINE ON 2ND OCTOBER 2009. ON DELIVERY IT WAS FOUND THAT THE DRUM IS TOTALLY BROKEN IN TRANSIT. I STRUGGLED A LOT TO GET IT REPLACED. ON DELIVERY OF NEW MACHINE, AFTER ONE MONTH, IT FOUND THAT THE DRUM IS LEAKING.]

                This is Senthil Kumar from Coimbatore have an IFB-EXECUTIVE model washing machine serial no of 005779 .it was more than 12 years and performed best. Last year few problems occurred.
                I took an A.M.C on 21/3/2009 and they changed the outlet motor which was not performed well. Now the drum was leaking (still AMC covers).Would like to bring notice regarding the very very worst (can’t tell how much) service which your dealers or you providing to customers.

                I informed the customer care center 3 times regarding the problem

                And please do the services as soon as possible other vice let us know instead of servicing this. I get a new machine which I bought early.

                I only buy & recommend IFB it performs very very well. Only thing is servicing?

                  I have a SENATOR washing machine under AMC. I have recently shifted to Goa from Delhi and I find the customer care in Goa to be pathetic. As long as payments for parts can be expected from me, there is attendance to compalints, otherwise nobody bothers. A complaint made on 25th jan, 2012 is still to be attended to till 07.2.12. I certainly will think twice in future before buying any IFB product and I strongly urge everybody else to do the same.

                    This is B. Narasimharao customer of IFB washing Machine Modal No Senetor 6Kg / Senator 6Kg Aqua SR No WTSTR 6Kg AquaB001673 Purchased on 1.1.2008 . on the name of Devaki Laxmi from TMC Tirupati .
                    On 19.1.2012 I visited your local service centre at Tirupati , made a complaint regarding leakage of water from the bottom of the machine, the service technician examined on 21.1.2012 and reported that the following are needs replacement , I have agreed for replacement. The repairs have been carried out by the by the technician. On 23.1.2011 I called the technician on cell no [protected] and informed the technician the leakage is not arrested and the water is leaking . he asked me to report in the service canter , I have called service and informed. Their i s no response from the service canter. Finally I have called customer care canter [protected] two i.e on 24 and 26 .1.2012 . the technician inspected and said this is a problem of drain pipe plumber to called for, I questioned what for, He said drain is blocked , the plumber called , plumber said the L bow is broken by the technician.
                    On 6.1.2012 the technician asked on phone he said he has replied recklessly . the same have reported to customer care at about 12.30 hrs. The customer care canter asked to contact Mr. Bharani Kumar, given the to solve the problem when contacted on the phone he said it is not his problem, he has visited my residence at about 15.30 hrs and started shouted on me, I said have come to me solve the problem he continued shouted with out seeing the problem, when he contusing shouting if you are not solving my problem I will go for justices. He said you can report the matter to Hume so ever you want, he said you can go to court of law, he said he will not care any body. He has behaved like a local rowdy, due to his shout entire apartment people came out started enquiry about the incidence, went with out attending the problem .
                    I hope the problem will be solved. We are not in a position use the machine even after spending Rs 3430/- .

                      i am very sorry to inform that i have a been a great loss by going for a ifb product....
                      its not a very uncommon thing that electronic devices get malfunctioned, but the response from the company has been pathetic in terms of repairing...
                      our microwave oven is said to have 3 years warranty of the magnetron and the cavity... and rightly so our microwave's magnetron malfunctioned and became out of order ..
                      we have been calling up the ifb servicing centres for help , they are coming each time and coming up with a new problem every time and promising to come back for the necessary help... this has been going on for 4 times!!!!
                      today itself we had no toll over our patience and called up the service centre for 5th time and told them to take evasive actions else would report them to the consumer forum!!!!!
                      but they seem to be quite over the consumer forum and came up with an answer that THE CONSUMER FORUM FORUM WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING..... THEY ARE GOOD FOR NOTHING!!!!!
                      i think now its your turn to tell what your status is... i hope you are the only door where we could get a justice!!!!!

                        I have been using the IFB senorita plus washering machine for the last 10 years. Suddenly yesterday when I switched on, a spark came out
                        and I called the local electrician to look into it. He examined and found normal condition of the electrical connection and proper electricity is being received at the machine. Then we switched on the machine, and it did the washing. But we could not open the door using the interlocking door lock handle. It is not possible to open even after the washing and our effort to get a qualified technician of the IFB is is in vain for we could not a correct
                        telephone number or an authorised agent. will some one throw some light as to how the problem could be solved.?

                        IFB washing machine-Senorita Plus — technician damaging the front door

                        I had complained to IFB on 2nd fen-2009 that my front door knob was broken. the complained was attended after 15days due to lack of technicians. The technician who attended told us that the entire front panel and the door knob had to be changed. we paid Rs.600 for it. but the inexperienced technician could not fix the door stuggling for nearly 4 hours. later another technician attended and fixed it. but when we used the machine we found that the machine was not starting nor ending the wash properly. we then realised that the door was not fixed properly. we complained to the call centre again. -complaint no - 2761831. but the technician who attended it said now the inner panel of the door has also been damaged and we have to pay again for it. how can the customer pay for the damages done by the inexperienced technicians. call centres are not responding to the complaints properly. kindly do the needful. tulasii - [protected]-chennai-40

                        IFB/Washing machine/Senorita plus — Not attending the complaint.

                        I am having extended warranty up to 18/07/2011.(receipt no:35233 dt:21/02/2008)
                        Now there is too much water leakage,sound and vibration.Registered a complaint on10/11/2009 and afterwards two more reminders through telephone and one through e-mail.Till now no one attended.I am staying at Coimbatore I want it rectified immediately and also the compensation for the delay.

                          I am using IFB product Washing machine, Model No. SEN6KG & also the product were in AMC period. 1st week of January i have made a complaint about water is not drain after washing to IFB customer care, (complaint No. 83443 8024410). After 2 days service engineer came to review the problem & conclude that the pump is not working. He said it will be replaced within 2 days time. But nobody came to resolve the problem even after 1 week. Once again i have contact Customer care to know the status of complaint. They have given local (Chennai) IFB service center phone number[protected] for further action on my problem.
                          I have contact several times to local service centre to attend my problem. But they have given useless following reason not to attend my problem.
                          - Pump is not in the stock (12.01.12)
                          - Received pump from head office but the pump is in fault (23.01.12)
                          - Pump will be replaced on or before 28.01.12
                          Finally I received a call from local service centre on 28.01.12 and they confirm to solve my problem on 30.01.12. But until now nobody will come to resolve my problem from IFB service.
                          I am really fed up / frustration with these peoples even after one month time they are not able to attend my problem that to from a well known consumer Product Company. Need your immediate action on my complaint.

                            IFBI is totally a fraud course, please donot join, they taking money from the candidates by saying some sweet words and giving some waste training for 3 months please my request donot join ifbi...

                            please please i am joined and nw realize please never join

                                Dear Sirs,

                                This is to bring to your attention that I had purchased 1 nos. fully automatic washing machine from Aakash Visions 47/5, Main Road, Yusuf Sarai, New Delhi on 28 December 2008. The prime factors for considering IFB, it's global leadership in the industry, specialization and focus on limited products, prompt and efficient after sales services. Since then the machine has been running and performing to the best of my expectation.

                                Before I proceed further on my subject I would highlight you about my health condition, I have got operated for my Left knee ligament is bed ridden and stays single in Delhi. This equipment has been really helpful to me.

                                However there occurred a small incident on this 7 Jan 2012, in which the machine stopped working as an when I switched it 'ON'. I have logged a complaint on the same day to the customer care - Complaint No. 8021299 and was informed that a technician will visit and rectify the complaint within 48 hours.

                                After waiting for 48 hours on Monday evening I called up the customer care again stating that no technician has visited yet. So they again
                                highlighted the complaint to the my local service center. The person visited on 9 Jan 2012 at 7pm after my call and inspected that the PCB
                                board is faulty.

                                He said that your equipment is in extended and shall be replaced free of cost, however I don't have part right now and shall come tomorrow to change the part. After 2 days when he didn't return I called up the customer care and again enquired about my complaint status. They then gave me the contact no. of service center[protected], [protected].

                                I called up the service center and they said that they will get the part by 13 Jan 2012 and close the complaint by 14 Jan 2012. However nobody again bothered to call or close the complaint.

                                Then again I called up customer care and service center and they gave an excuse that do not know as the part has not arrived our centers and you can talk to company directly. I had a word with Mr. Prabhat Sharma [protected], he assured that he will close the complaint asap.

                                But since then Mr. Prabhat is not picking up calls and service center says they are helpless and I should take the matter with Mr. Prabhat only. Also no senior has come forward to close the matter. And when I ask the contact details then they say we can not give the numbers.

                                This is to inform you the facts stating the extremely callous and indifferent approach of company's staff.

                                Yesterday they were saying that it will take another 5 days to get the part i.e. by Tuesday 24 Jan 2012.

                                Days passed by and I kept enquiring and a similar answer is given.This process of making phone calls kept on for four days and then today Mr. Prabhat picked up the call and says he has got missed calls but still didn't call back and has no excuse.

                                Such has been the callousness and irresponsibility towards customer service.

                                This has given us a wrong flavour of company’s responsibility towards attending service calls within warranty. I now wonder how in future would the company maintain the promises of promptness in providing services.

                                Sir, I'm a sales professional, we have been serving 24x7 to resolve the customer's complaints.

                                Your kind intervention is solicited we are now suffering great agony and depression due to the behavior and inaction of the executive.

                                  i have taken AMC from IFB and payment also made with IFB. this AMC includes all spare parts with plastic parts also but when i complaint for machine is not working and machine belt is tear off they tell us that due to heavy load of cloth belt is tear off so you can pay for belt of 650 rs so i have paid for belt and than they repair the machine so it is not fair to charge for belt. IFB is cheated us every time so please donot purchase iFB washing machine

                                  i have paid towards AMC during march 2010 for my ifb wasing m/c but still

                                  till date 7 - 6 - 2010 even after a period of 3 months no amc document has

                                  received. this is with kailah enterprises chennai who is authourised service

                                  personal and it is like droping a stone in a well.

                                  to make document 3 months is highly regrettable and how long to do service is

                                  imaginable.

                                  god will never forgive the concerned athourities

                                      Dear sir,I had purchased the above mention washing machine of your company.On 29th Dec.it stopped working.so i registerd a complaint at Customer care centre at Ludhiana on 30th Dec. and my complaint no.is 7959898.On 3rd day Mr.Avtar Singh visited my place and examind machine and told that it PCB is not functioning and will have to be changed.On 6th Jan. PCB was replaced and machine start functioning but after 28 min. of his departure machine again stopped. I reported the matter at the same momment to Mr.Avtar Singh on his mobile no.[protected].But till today on 12th Jan. he has not care to rectify the fault.I think his technical knowldge is zero .I called about 50 times on his mobile but he did not respond once.So i request you to direct Customer Care Center Ludhiana to depute a trained person to rectify the fault at earliest as this negligence by your person Sh.Avtar Singh is bringing a bad name to your company.In future i should never recomend the name of your company if my machine fault is not rectified at the earliest.                                         We have purchased an IFB DIGITAL 5.5 FRONT LOADING TYPE washing machine last year. The particular machine has a 4 year warranty also. Since the day of purchase we are not very comfortable with the customer care.

                                        The commissioning person himself came only after five working days after the day of purchase. Within a usage period of five months, there was a noise coming in the machine. After complaining about the same to customer care,a service personnel arrived VERY PROMPTLY - WITH A COMFORTABLE INTERVAL OF FIVE DAYS. Later during the course of servicing, it was informed by the service person, that the motor has to be replaced and that has to be ordered from the head office or so. There was no response from the servicing team for more than two weeks and when inquired about the status of our complaint, it was informed that, the previous complaint was lapsed and we had to lodge a new complaint - which again took a week or so for the same process. After about 50 calendar days, the particular motor was brought and fixed in our machine and it was in operation.

                                        During the fag end of last year, on 26/12/2011, the door of the machine got struck up and did not open. Assuming that there was some system error, we called the customer care on 27/12/2011 and lodged a complaint - also mentioned that our clothes were struck inside the machine. The complaint number is 7933545 dt 27/12/2011. Similar to the previous complaint last year, there was a VERY PROMPT SERVICE. One servicing personnel ( Mr Vignesh ) arrived on 29/12/2011 giving a three days cushioning time - leaving us in a position without proper dresses to wear.( We are family consisting of four adults( including two senior citizens), one child doing her school final and one infant. We leave it to your extreme imagination what will be our situation when some of our daily wear dresses are in a position not to even reach.)

                                        The service person informed that there was a damage in the door knob lever, and that it was broken and it has to be replaced. He left the door opened and told that within a day the spare will be replaced for which even we were ready to pay - even if the machine was under warranty. But even after three to four days, there was no communication from the servicing team. Later we approached the dealer from whom we had purchased the washing machine M/s Bharat Electronic Appliances, Coimbatore on 03/01/2012 There, we were guided by the Boss of the place, who took real interest - since we are a long time regular customer for them - in solving our problem by immediately calling the Servicing Department personnel Mr Nandagopal, who in turn promised that our complaint will be taken care on the next day itself, and we can call him if there was any problem - which was very generous indeed.

                                        Days come and go and every time we call the customer care, we are informed that a serivce person will be visiting on the same day, but no one will turn up. With a bit of hesitation when we call Mr Nandagopal ( since he is a senoir personnel ) for help, either he will be in a meeting or we may not reach him, we will be informed that, he will call us back - but that never happened.

                                        Inspite of our daily telephonic followups we are yet to get our machine serviced till date.

                                        Luckily, today we spoke to Mr Nandagopal at a late hour for which again he has promised taht our machine will be taken care of tomorrow !?!

                                        Please advice us for the following few doubts which generally arise to any household in common.

                                        1. Should we sacrifice our daily routine waiting for the servicing person ( whether he will come or not)
                                        2. Should we sacrifice or forget the money spent on the FULLY AUTOMATIC WASHING MACHINE (say approximately Rs 25000/-) and do our daily washing by hand.
                                        3. Should we go for a spare machine always as this takes a loooooong time for servicing every time.
                                        4. Should we go for a rented machine whenever we have a breakdown - if so please provide us the address for the rental service provider.
