Times of India...sms — sms receiving daily from 58888

Dear sir,

I am receiving sms daily from Times of India ie. 58888, and costing me a rupee daily. I am not interested. Even I have given sms to 58888 to disontinue, even then they are sending daily to my cell phone. I request you to block this and see that I will not get any more sms from 58888.

I am giving my cell no:[protected] of Mysore, Karnataka Region( A Post Paid Connection). Kindly do the needful and oblige

I too have same problem & experience in my BSNL Connection. For each sMs do I receive from IndiaTimes 58888 number then I found that a sum of Rupy deducted from BSNL existing call values. I'm unable to know the unsubscription procedure. Can IndiaTimes people or BSNL or Anyone "HELP" me the Ways & Means to "STOP" Unwanted sMses & never unsubscribed by me. <Biswanandan>

It's a menace. My son clicked some number and the service got activated.

I tried to call up call centre 24365. The executive asks me that there are three or four service providers for cricket message services. He wanted to know the details. As we have not remembered the servicei it is difficult to remember.

The call centre service is also lousy.

May try unsub option and or send a letter in writing.

Last resort is to discontinue BSNL cellphone service.

I have registered or subscribed SUB COOL. But I did not get single message. Many time I have contacted to indiatimes and vodafone peoples. But very hopeless service. Minimum I have called 10 times.
Only for 30 Rs. Service... Is this called good service. Might I will not get response of this comments.

I too recieved 5 to 6 sms from 58888, it is disturbing my concentration on my work, I enquire in the airtel galleries, but the number 58888 is not form thier end, finaly i got information, its belong to Indiatimes people, and I search in google site for the the number 58888, there i got somebody's comments, which read "sms GSTOP SMS to 58888. I did so just 20 minutes before, lets see what will happen.

i recieved 3-4 smsbz-56700, bz-55888.whenever i tried to read messages recieved from these nos., some amount is deducted from my balance .i want to stop such type of messages.for this what i have to do.

I think its a complete nuisance... I sent the STOP mesg to 58888 and imagine instead of sending me a message back that my no has been removed from the list (usually thats what other such services do), I got 2 more stupid mesgs from them. Have these people not heard of Do not Disturb (DND) law? Now its in India too, indiatimes!! Pls spare us poor people of your unwanted ads. Send it to only those who ask for it.

I did send a message " UNSUB JOKE" to 58888 and instantly received a confirmation. I hope this menace is done.

sms service 58888 — cheating

one day i received sms FROM 58888 on my mobile no. [protected] is as follows

MALAMAAL 2009 PRIZES -GOLD. BIKES N MOBILES DAILY

and they ask question i replied to that than they started daily . than i tried my luck after some day SMS CAME FROM TM-CONGRATS by stating that "YOU ARED A WINNER! YOUR NUMBER HAS BEEN CHOSEN FOA A $2500 CASH prize. cal +[protected] to claim"

than i got excited and started calling on above number, I gave number of call and spent lot money NO RESPONSE CAME, when i call on that numer than computrised cassets plays and make me fool doo this do thay says every time finally no result and one fine day due to stress I met with accident and my vehicle damaged.

i WANT TO REGISTER a case in consumer court and want and compensation for making my life in truble, and in future they thould not cheat any other person.

these types of games should be banned in future

i want 2 stop ind cool service fron 58888 for my voda phone number.from last 4 months they r debeitting only money not service

i send a sms to 58888 .it happen but why voda phone not answeering me from last 4 months to stop this service they know very well

I am also a victim of indiatimes 58888 service. even though they are not charging for this message, it become menace for me. i send several unsub msg to them they charged rs.3 for every msg. but it doesn, t stop yet. Then i send a complaint to trai stating this, sad to to say no action. now i removed the msg alert tone at least to escape from tone.
This is serious situation, this stupid company does not have DND feature or online unsubscribe feature. But it is interesting to see that, they having online subscription facility. So clearly a cheating company.

I have been getting stupid and useless messages from this indiatimes number 58888 for more than 6 months now. I tried sending the STOP message to 58888, but the reply i got was as follows:
"sms STO followed by full company name to get quotes.
PG Foils Ltd.
PG Capital Ltd.
PH Capital Ltd., etc..."

This has become such a nuisance that i'm going to complaint to the highest authority that regulates the mobile service providers, and if there be no action from them, i think i'll have to move the court.

I don't know how i got subscribed to this idiotic messages, because i have not sent any messages to 58888 from my mobile phone myself.

There should be clear legislation to regulate these sort of public nuisance, and these type of companies should be heavily fined for making such sort o[censored]nwanted headache to the public.

The funny thing is that, if we send any message to this number, an amount of Rs.3/- is deducted from our account.
These are very stupid, disgusting, irritating and useless messages, and whatever stupid name that come across your mind.

I dont like that disgusting 58888 service.Please somebody tell me how to stop this irritating service.I dont know how much of rupees aircel detecting for me.Bcoz my number is in postpaid.Please tell me is there any charges for reading this message too.

Plz call on Phone No: +[protected] and ask them to stop the Facility active in ur account.
After this. within 1 day all would be stopped.

Sending GSTOP and STOP will deduct 1 rs from ur account. SO dont do that. Call and sort it out.
