Hi,

I purchased KENT RO a year back after seeing lots of advertisement in media, now i realized that i made a biggest mistake of my life. Most of the time this machine remains out of order, they repair this more than a dozen time but after each repair it stopped working in few weeks.

Only purchase this product if you want to waste your money.

    Hello Sir/Madam,

    This is with regards to the Kent Pearl RO water filter purchased on 5th November and it was installed on 7th November 2012.
    Serial number KR[protected]

    Purchased in Bangalore from Rays Enterprises, 132, Muddinapalya Main road, Vishvaneedam Post, Near to RTO office, Bangalore 560091

    PH: [protected]

    MOtor of the Filter stopped working on 24th November. When approached them, they were reluctant and informed that they can only replace the motor.
    It is brand new and not even a month and asked for replacement.

    Spoke to Sudindra Kent Sales Manager. His contact number [protected].
    He was very rude telling that it cannot be address soon and only Motor can be replaced.

    They are denying it and not addressing the issue properly.
    Even Service CEnters are also telling the same thing.

    A brand New Product from KENT that costs 17500.00 is totally useless within a month. Please help in getting this issue resolved ASAP.

      I purchased a Kent Grand + purifier system from Kent R.O..Machine is defective,once I complained and they rectified /replaced the defective part but the same defect occurred again within two three months.Very shocking that more than two months has already been elapsed to lodge a complaint, but company is still silent and not interested to rectify/replace the defective part/machine not even bothered to reply at least even a single mail.It is purely a cheating to the consumer .

        I am using KENT RO system for 6 months now. It is normally been advised that TDS level for daily consumption should be in range of 40-60, but KENT RO which comes with tag line of "TDS control" stands false when it starts giving water in the range of 10-70. consuming low level of TDS will make us used to it and higher chances of getting ill after having outside water.

        when contacted service engineer his answer was "Supply water comes with varying TDS and KENT will just reduce TDS in % of supplied water, which is 10% in our case. You should control your supply waster" such an irritating answer I have got but what to say to that guy...IT IS ULTIMATELY POOR R&D OF THE PRODUCT. product should be able to control the TDS irrespective of the supply water quality.

          I Pallavi Atram am writing this mail to you in hopes that you will help us out.
          we filed a complaint (complaint no. j620) for the kent water purifier we bought almost a month back which already undergone 1 repair,
          we were told the guy would come in 24 working hours which he didn't, he came on a Saturday in the evening and told us it needed some hardware which he didn't have on him and that he'll come on Monday, we waited till Tuesday he didn't show up. So we called the office and they say that the hardware is not in stock that they'll have to order it from Noida it will take three days and now its been three weeks and no engineer has come. I told them to replace the product and they haven't done that as well.



          so if you could look into it. as you the gas cylinder rates are soaring like hell and we can't afford to boil the water.
          hoping for some kind of help.

            We had bought a Kent Excell + RO in the year 2010. From the day one it had been installed, it started giving us problems, with the major parts like the pump, membrane, etc. needing replacement in less than a year......with such a horrible product in hand, we were forced to take an AMC which again is quite expensive. The AMC says that the pump and membrane can be replaced once within a year long contract. But the product itself is so fantastic that they don't even run for so long!!!!! Their service technicians are still worse....every time they come, they only make matters worse. One of them being Mr. Ratikant (+91-[protected]). The Service Agency being M/s Aqua World (+[protected].
            I am totally frustrated with product and would never go for any product which comes from their make!!!!!

              I have Kent RO for two years and it worked fine. But four months back I called service person for regular change of filter and he asked me to buy AMC for around Rs. 6,000. I did not see any need so I declined for AMC. I don't know what he did but my unit has been constantly failing since. First the adapter failed, then choke failed and again now adapter and pump has failed. This all has happened in last four months. They have been saying the electric fluctuation is causing the problem but the fact is our apartment complex has one the biggest transformer and power regulator in Bangalore. No one including me has had any problem for four years with any other appliance, so this argument is bogus.
              I believe Kent RO people are putting substandard equipment. The replacement of choke and adapter cost me Rs. 1750, something that should cost only Rs. 200. It is nothing special these should be standard equipments but by using non standard equipment Kent RO has been criminally fleecing its customers.
              I definitely advise people to avoid Kent RO.

              Today we called the authorised service man to repair the kent RO, he told us that the adaptor will need replacement and he will have to replace the membrane as well and gave us an estimate of 3500=00, like the post by SKRKMK on Nov 8, 2012 above, we were also told it was voltage fluctuations...can you let us know if the costs are correct and fair..

              I am also facing the problem of bad quality of Adapter in the Kent RO Grand system i own. It is costing me some Rs 1200/- and is frequently seeing breakdown. this is 05 Oct 2013, and in this year alone two such breakdown have happened.
              Even I am facing the same issue just like you. I have been using Kent RO for last 3 years and it has no complaint. Suddenly, one day my filter goes off and I have changed it via Kent RO authorised service centre and since then my whole system parts have been changed and it has cost me around 10k wholly. I thought Kent should tell the client to use it and through just like grey market product as I am not sure where it is going to stop with the present system. I got filter, memberane, adapter, diaphagram, UV light twice.

              Worst product ever seen in my life. Better people should go with Aquaguard as my parents are not facing any problem for last 7 years since the installation.

                I have purchased kent ro system on 6/12/2010 and get A.M.C wef Jan. 2012. but services is not being provided by the company regularly only one service has been made till date ie. 7/11/2012. Complaint is not attended up to 15 days after complaint. Motor pump of machine is not working properly and give noise every time.
                I advice sympathetically to customers which are going to purchase kent ro in future that they not purchase the kent ro products at any time and advise to their relatives for the same.

                  I had purchased Kent RO Grand 8 lit Machine Nos KR[protected] on 13/1/2012 from Vinayak Kitchen Ware , Near Bank of baroda Branch , 89-G Civil lines , Bareilly . and have got it installed at My residence at DAFFODILS ,11A Krishna Vihar Colony ,Surkha, opposite Maula Nagar, near Gulab rai School. After a month or so of my purchasing the system , the pipe which enters the RO candle popped out and the chamber which houses all the candles and wires got filled with water. The Machine stopped working. I informed Vinayak Kitchen ware and he sent an engg. who tried to fix the tube with Fevi Quick, he tried a few times but as the pressure was more , every time the tube popped out. After a lot of effort he finally succeeded and the machine started working. Again after two days the machine went dead and i informed the shop to send the service engg. after about 4 to five days persuasion the engg came . he said that as water had filled the machine , the contact point of wires going into the processor mounted on the inside back wall of the machine had shorted. He took the processor like thing and temporarily started the machine in some direct manner . he said that the processor had to be looked into. Any way after a few days he came and installed the processor but the wiring cable set which connected the various parts inside the machine had to be cut and joined temporarily as the wiring set was not available ...still the wiring is cut and joined in temporary manner. The machine was started now but with all loose wiring . After a few days of working , the machine again stopped working . The engineer came three days after the complaint he opened the plastic transparent chamber and tightened some wire which had become loose due to the still existing temporary wiring. , the machine again started working.This time it worked for about one and a half months at a stretch. Again it conked off . When I informed the Shop he sent an engg. The engg said that the power supply had conked off . He replaced it and the machine started working. I told him about the loose wiring which had to be changed , he said it was not available and would do it when it will be available. Again the machine started working and worked for a month or so. Then it again became dead. This time after at least 6 to seven days of complaining the engineer came and rectified the problem , I would like to add here that your service network , at least in bareilly uttar pradesh is very unsatisfying. One of the time the engg who came said he was working for some other company too . It really shook my faith in your after sales network. Any way about 10 days back the water stopped going inside the collection chamber although it was running in the outside pipe. The water chamber was taking a very very long time to even collect a glass of water. The engg came and told that the R O Candle was choked . The candle was changed for free but he said that i should get the other two candles changed too as six months had passed , he also advised to install a pre filter candle and so against a payment of sone 1400 rs I got the candles changed and got a pre - candle filter installed. The wiring is still in a temporary state. The machine worked fine for 10 days and now today 25th Oct 2012 it has again stopped working. I am very frustrated with this Machine, either the machine is jinxed or whatever. Even the service set up is pathetic. My daughter is suffering from typhoid. What is the use of installing such a high end filter system . Earlier I had Aqua Guard and I was very happy with it . Please change this piece as it is not working properly since it was installed . The water filling incident when the pipe popped out in the machine chamber has, i assume spoilt all the parts inside . I request you to change this machine as I am highly dissatisfied .                     greetings! This is in reference to The above said product which we bought it from Kent RO Systems Ltd on -07.02.2011 purchased from vijayakumar of global

                    services done at an interval of 3 monThs. 2 free services including
                    change of carbon block and sediment
                    filter. 3rd and 4Th service not charged but all parts changed and
                    charged. 3rd cost around 6000 as
                    membrane,sediment filter,carbon block and UV lamp was changed.
                    Pre Filter was also fixed. Final service
                    installation of brand less membrane/ reason -company not supplying
                    original parts on time.The above
                    mentioned Reinstalled. a Also adaptor as well as carbon block were
                    changed. UV lamp connection cut
                    off and wiring bungled. This happened in December.In Jan again water
                    output became very slow but even
                    after several calls That person didn't show up. Finally he stopped
                    picking my calls so i had to just switch off
                    The whole Thing and started buying can water. Last time charged around
                    2500. No bills were provided for
                    any of The above.

                    I purchased a KENT GRAND+ RO plant bearing sSl.No.Kr[protected], Through

                    Palayamkottai, Thru’ its rep. MVijayakumarar (Mob. Nos.[protected] &
                    [protected]), on07/02/
                    2011. Two free services were done at intervals of Three monThs. During
                    The 3 rd service The following
                    parts were changed i.e Pre Filter, membrane,sediment filter,carbon
                    block and UV lamp, and I was

                    charged Rs.6000/- But no receipt was given for The charges.
                    During The 4Th.(final) service in Dec.2011 I was charged Rs.2500/- at
                    which time The above mentioned
                    Rep installed a brand less membrane and The reason given was That “
                    company not supplying original
                    parts on time” Also adaptor as well as carbon block were changed. UV

                      I bought a Kent RO system model EXCELL + MRO, machine no: KR[protected] from M/s SBT Corporation vide bill no 102 dt 23.07.12.

                      The middle candle is leaking and it stopped working and hence I telephonically registered a complaint (on[protected], no 5273 dt 23.07.12) for repair since the machine is still in warranty period. The person said the serial no is wrong & I read off the number from the label on the unit. I followed up several times & he kept on repeating the same. I requested that a technician be sent & he can verify the facts before taking up the service. Several times I tried, either they donot receive the call or repeat the same & made no efforts to resolve the issue.

                      Today I got few more numbers of Kent RO service from toll free no [protected] & they say the number I contacted is the correct one & I need to call them only. After lengthy explanation of my travails over the last month, one person took pity on me & gave a mobile number. I am trying to get him.

                      I have also filed a report to customers grievances on Kent web site & there was no reply.
                      Earlier we tested Kent RO for about an year on the performance with respect to quality of water (chemical & microbiological ) and the performance was good. Ever since we have been using and recommending it & with this kind of service, I do not know what to do.

                      I request KENT RO to set up an efficient service network to resolve the problems of the customers. Hope I get a response & my problem will be resolved.

                        I have purchased Kent RO in Dec. 2010. I am facing technical problems since 6 months. On 12/06/2012 technician visited & changed RO,also charged Rs 2600/- from us. Now on filing complaint technician Mr. Sunil Dewangan visited on 10/10/12 & telling us to change again the RO,also he give her senior Mr. Ravi mobile number, but i tried two times to talk with Mr. Ravi but he does not respond properly,as he promise to call back but sorry to say that he does not reply my call.

                        Sir, this is not good practice. This is not possible for us to change RO in every 4 months.

                        Also i am very much disappointed from your service station. They are damaging company image & reputation.

                          Hi,
                          I bought KENT water purifier in Feb 2012. With in 7 months, the motor is gone three times. Also it got replaced once with out official bill for new motor.

                          Raised 7 complaints with the dealer who is handling KENT services in bangalore. Reliance mart. But so far no reponse on replacement request.

                          Raised a greviance request to KENT, in their www.kent.co.in. This is further pathatic than the dealer in bangalore.

                              Dear Sir/Madam,

                              COMPLAINT AGAINST KENT RO Systems Limited

                              We would like to report to the consumer forum about the inconvenience caused to us by the KENT RO Systems Limited.

                              Ever since the purchase of the water purifier Model no. KENT EXCELL MINERAL RO, Serial No. KA[protected]on 10th feb 2010 we have continuously faced problems with it. The system has required more than 15 visits by the company service people to keep it working. How ever it still breaks down every month.

                              The company used to send the service people promptly during the first year when the system was under warranty. During the end of warranty the service personnel advised us to EXTEND THE WARRANTY in case it required further repairs. Post the end of the 1st AMC, we were again advised to extend it. Left with no choice and constant hassle faced by us, we followed the advice.

                              However since last week again my system has not been working. Every time the service guy visits and informs of some or the other fault in the system. We have been forced to replace almost every part of the system thus incurring heavy charges for it and our water purifier is still not working since over a week.

                              We have also been touch with the national and regional service head without any concrete results. We request the company to treat this complaint as utmost urgent and treat it with importance. We demand for replacement of the product and reimbursement of the costs borne by us.

                              It is with utmost regret that we have to resort to the consumer forum with the complain, since the company is not understanding the problem a family has to face with out clean drinking water!

                                Kent Water Purifier — very poor service

                                inspite of several complains since last one month regarding non working of kent purifier, no one has visited our home as yet from company..realy very poor after sales services..
                                I have installed Kent Water Purifier and very much disappointed by the services Mr. Bafna is offering. For collection of AMC charges they are very puctual but at the time of our issues they dont entertain. Its more than 1 month I had complainedabout overflow problem but no one did turn up and now the smps is gone. They are charging me Rs 950 for the same . Why am I supposed to bear this expense?? Please help me if some one can!!!

                                  Kent Ro — Invoice not issued by the distributor

                                  I have purchase Kent RO grand plus modal from authorized distributor on 24 Oct 2010. After half hour of installation the machine start leaking. The distributor (Crystal pure) not supporting. The distributor has also not given me the Invoice. Now for invoice the distributor is asking Rs. 1500.00. Plaese help me.

                                    I had brought Kent Gold optima paying INR 1350 and was promised to purify 4500 liter of water. I bought the purifier On 15th July 2012 and i have launched the complaint with Kent coustomer care several times and the technician has visited 2 times in 1 month with no result. Water does not flow from UF Membrane Cartridge which is fitted in down side of purifier. I am not at all satisfied with the product and service of Kent. I request to get the refund of my money, so that i can go ahead and buy some other purifier which is genuine.

                                      I am a resident of Madhav Kunj, Sector-9, Rohini, New Delhi-110085. We were gifted a Kent RO Grand+ by one of our cousin and we got it installed this year in may, 2012. We do have the details/bills and everythibng, the Product is pathetic in the first place since last four months it had broken down twice. on the top of it the customer care is pathetic. They don't turn up, in the recent incidence I suddenly realize on the morning of 8th september, 2012 that its not working, called up customer care and they promised me that the engineer will visit in next 24 hrs.. Its more than 72 hrs no body has visited, moreover i had called the customer 50 times and even spoke to their ASM of north resion Mr. Vinod on 10th spetember, He promised it will be rectified by the evening but nothing happened. Today I made 4-5 calles and got to know the technician had palced a remark that some uv lamp is not working.... but the fact is no body ever visited our Place. I took his name - someone called pawan kumar jha.
                                      More over I took the no. of SS chauhan the DGM and called him but all in vain. These guys are rogues, liars and just keep harrasing the customer.
                                      I seek your intervention into this matter and ready to file a case if need be to make them understand the value of customers.

                                      My mother is a cancer patient and purified water is more of a necessity than luxury and that is why I had been calling them, chasing them for last 72 hrs... without any response... they just keep giving false promises..... I would seriously like to take a legal action against them.

                                      Please look into the matter and do penalise them so that this kjind of behaviour is not repeated. Or do let me know the procedure to file the legal complaint against them.

                                      Regarding : Kent RO Water Purifiers.

                                      I would like to register my complaint regarding pathetic and poor service of KENT technicians. MY RO system has broken down more than five time in last 5 - 1/2 months. The customer care number is first in place difficult to connect, secondly even after you register the complain they take ages to come and that too I have to every time call the area in Incharge to send the technicians.
                                      THE NAME OF MR.S.S chauhan, I have only heard about - I doubt if this MAN exists or NOT, because if you call on his number every time a girl picks up the call and talks RUDELY (AS IF HOW DARE I HAVE CALLED ON THIS NUMBER) on his behalf and tells he is in a meeting. Mr RAWAT is the only person who talks whenever I call but from my experience I have understood that HE is more of helpless in the gang full of lairs.
                                      About My case -
                                      * IN JULY MONTH : My ro system water taste detoriated.
                                      * In SEPTEMBER : the Kent fellow finally changed the membrane ( ON MY COST).
                                      * IN OCTOBER : the motor Failed & again after several followups the MOTOR was changed ( ON MY COST).
                                      * IN OCTOBER : AGAIN IN THE SAME WEEK THE RO SYSTEM AGAIN STOPPED WORKING. Again after chasing them the technician came and checked and TO MY SURPRISE AND ASTONISHMENT I WAS TOLD THAT THE MEMBRANE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED AND SINCE THE 3 MONTH GAURANTEE PERIOD IS OVER SO I AGAIN NEED TO PAY APPROX 2300/-.
                                      SINCE I had to travel I decided to start the chasing process when I come back in December.

                                      * DECEMBER MONTH : On 11th December Mr. Virender Bhat... came and changed the membrane ( ON MY COST). As suggested my the customer care I have also taken the AMC for one year. mr.virender did come to change the candle on 14th December but GOD knows what he did with my the RO system has stopped woking again after his visit and since then he has been avioding all my calls .
                                      hE KEPT ON TELLING ME THAT HE IS COMING IN 30 MINS FROM 2 PM ONWARDS AND SINCE THEN HE IS NOT PICKING MY CALLS FROM MY CELL, WHEN CALLED FROM A DIFFERENT NUMBER HE DID PICK UP THE CALL(3:45 pm APPROX) AND AGAIN SAID HE IS COMING IN 30 MINS BUT SINCE THEN NOT PICKING MY CALLS.
                                      Also I would like to bring to your notice that MR. Raman ([protected]) has been very rude in his language and should be educated on customer service ethics.I called him on 14th November at 1:15 pm approx to ask about the executive who came to my house in the morning - First he did not pick my call I called him atleast 6-7 times then I recive a sms that "Having Lunch" to which I reverted back "Its urgent" with a call from my side, which was then picked up in a growling tone saying " please let me have my lunch in peace".
                                      I need was just to have the visiting technician's number . In none of the purchase documents it is mentioned that a customer cannot call in some specific working hours.
                                      Secondly I was struggling here for WATER - which Mr.Raman didnt bother to give any weightage and his only priority was to have his lunch in peace .
                                      thirdly his rude tone with no responsibilty to address and entire afternnoon, evening and night I had to arrange water from the market .
                                      Till evening 7:30 PM I called him many times but he didnt pick my call even once.
                                      I have a request to the Managing Director, please look into your manpower slection and the management staff who directly deal with customers, they are ruining your company .
                                      INHUMAN ATTITUDE
                                      These men are so inhuman, that inspite of telling them that I have a SMALL BABY of 20 months and I have NO source of drinking water other than RO filter water, they have LEFT ME in a difficult situation giving false promises and no information when and who will come and fix my RO system
                                      I would request you to see how to solve this problem, I had such BAD experience buying a KENT product, such a waste to money.
                                      I will find a way to communicate the same to HEMA MALINI JI through my sources and channels so that she atleast knows that she has endorsed such a rubbish product REST I SHALL leave to her conscience AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY.
                                      I shall recommend not to buy any KENT product as the company has no capacity to handle after sales service and has hired a bunch to rogues, liers and rude, extremely inexperienced men to handle after sales(engineer term is not the right word to describe these men)
                                      If such pathetic services will continue. I am force to launch a social media campaign against KENT RO.
                                      If immediate attention is avoided then your 50 reasons to choose KENT will fall short to 100 reasons NOT TO CHOOSE KENT.

                                        sir, i have purchased a kent mineral ro water purifiers 0n 1.12.2009. after completion of one year i took AMC (annual maintenance contract) for each year afterwards. now the current service period is 30.11.2011 to 29.11.2012 which is a full service contract with full replacement of parts. now since last three months a have been complaining again and again. after every complain a service executive comes and checks the machine and and after servicing returns and says machine is ok. but after repeated efforts the problem is not solved. last time the executive told that the RO filter needs to be replaced which is covered under the AMC. but he replaced the same with a regenerated parts not with the new part which is covered under the AMC. problem still persists. please look into the matter.
