Dear Sir/Madam,

COMPLAINT AGAINST KENT RO Systems Limited

We would like to report to the consumer forum about the inconvenience caused to us by the KENT RO Systems Limited.

Ever since the purchase of the water purifier Model no. KENT EXCELL MINERAL RO, Serial No. KA[protected]on 10th feb 2010 we have continuously faced problems with it. The system has required more than 15 visits by the company service people to keep it working. How ever it still breaks down every month.

The company used to send the service people promptly during the first year when the system was under warranty. During the end of warranty the service personnel advised us to EXTEND THE WARRANTY in case it required further repairs. Post the end of the 1st AMC, we were again advised to extend it. Left with no choice and constant hassle faced by us, we followed the advice.

However since last week again my system has not been working. Every time the service guy visits and informs of some or the other fault in the system. We have been forced to replace almost every part of the system thus incurring heavy charges for it and our water purifier is still not working since over a week.

We have also been touch with the national and regional service head without any concrete results. We request the company to treat this complaint as utmost urgent and treat it with importance. We demand for replacement of the product and reimbursement of the costs borne by us.

It is with utmost regret that we have to resort to the consumer forum with the complain, since the company is not understanding the problem a family has to face with out clean drinking water!

    I registered a complaint at customer service in Kent to change my filter..Nobody turned up even after 2 days of registering the complaint.
    Customer care persons are responding telling that the technician is on the way..Nobody reached my apartment yet. Kindly take action against this.

    Kent Water Purifier — very poor service

    inspite of several complains since last one month regarding non working of kent purifier, no one has visited our home as yet from company..realy very poor after sales services..
    I have installed Kent Water Purifier and very much disappointed by the services Mr. Bafna is offering. For collection of AMC charges they are very puctual but at the time of our issues they dont entertain. Its more than 1 month I had complainedabout overflow problem but no one did turn up and now the smps is gone. They are charging me Rs 950 for the same . Why am I supposed to bear this expense?? Please help me if some one can!!!

      I had registered complaint on 17/9/2012 vide complaint No D1274762,and personnelly call to cal center several times as well as personnally call to area incharge Shri Haris on his moblie No [protected] but till now my complaint is not resoloved whereas I oaid hefty amount Rs1800/- per year ,what kind of service provide by your compoany.

      Kent Ro — Invoice not issued by the distributor

      I have purchase Kent RO grand plus modal from authorized distributor on 24 Oct 2010. After half hour of installation the machine start leaking. The distributor (Crystal pure) not supporting. The distributor has also not given me the Invoice. Now for invoice the distributor is asking Rs. 1500.00. Plaese help me.

        I had brought Kent Gold optima paying INR 1350 and was promised to purify 4500 liter of water. I bought the purifier On 15th July 2012 and i have launched the complaint with Kent coustomer care several times and the technician has visited 2 times in 1 month with no result. Water does not flow from UF Membrane Cartridge which is fitted in down side of purifier. I am not at all satisfied with the product and service of Kent. I request to get the refund of my money, so that i can go ahead and buy some other purifier which is genuine.

          I am a resident of Madhav Kunj, Sector-9, Rohini, New Delhi-110085. We were gifted a Kent RO Grand+ by one of our cousin and we got it installed this year in may, 2012. We do have the details/bills and everythibng, the Product is pathetic in the first place since last four months it had broken down twice. on the top of it the customer care is pathetic. They don't turn up, in the recent incidence I suddenly realize on the morning of 8th september, 2012 that its not working, called up customer care and they promised me that the engineer will visit in next 24 hrs.. Its more than 72 hrs no body has visited, moreover i had called the customer 50 times and even spoke to their ASM of north resion Mr. Vinod on 10th spetember, He promised it will be rectified by the evening but nothing happened. Today I made 4-5 calles and got to know the technician had palced a remark that some uv lamp is not working.... but the fact is no body ever visited our Place. I took his name - someone called pawan kumar jha.
          More over I took the no. of SS chauhan the DGM and called him but all in vain. These guys are rogues, liars and just keep harrasing the customer.
          I seek your intervention into this matter and ready to file a case if need be to make them understand the value of customers.

          My mother is a cancer patient and purified water is more of a necessity than luxury and that is why I had been calling them, chasing them for last 72 hrs... without any response... they just keep giving false promises..... I would seriously like to take a legal action against them.

          Please look into the matter and do penalise them so that this kjind of behaviour is not repeated. Or do let me know the procedure to file the legal complaint against them.

          Regarding : Kent RO Water Purifiers.

          I would like to register my complaint regarding pathetic and poor service of KENT technicians. MY RO system has broken down more than five time in last 5 - 1/2 months. The customer care number is first in place difficult to connect, secondly even after you register the complain they take ages to come and that too I have to every time call the area in Incharge to send the technicians.
          THE NAME OF MR.S.S chauhan, I have only heard about - I doubt if this MAN exists or NOT, because if you call on his number every time a girl picks up the call and talks RUDELY (AS IF HOW DARE I HAVE CALLED ON THIS NUMBER) on his behalf and tells he is in a meeting. Mr RAWAT is the only person who talks whenever I call but from my experience I have understood that HE is more of helpless in the gang full of lairs.
          About My case -
          * IN JULY MONTH : My ro system water taste detoriated.
          * In SEPTEMBER : the Kent fellow finally changed the membrane ( ON MY COST).
          * IN OCTOBER : the motor Failed & again after several followups the MOTOR was changed ( ON MY COST).
          * IN OCTOBER : AGAIN IN THE SAME WEEK THE RO SYSTEM AGAIN STOPPED WORKING. Again after chasing them the technician came and checked and TO MY SURPRISE AND ASTONISHMENT I WAS TOLD THAT THE MEMBRANE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED AND SINCE THE 3 MONTH GAURANTEE PERIOD IS OVER SO I AGAIN NEED TO PAY APPROX 2300/-.
          SINCE I had to travel I decided to start the chasing process when I come back in December.

          * DECEMBER MONTH : On 11th December Mr. Virender Bhat... came and changed the membrane ( ON MY COST). As suggested my the customer care I have also taken the AMC for one year. mr.virender did come to change the candle on 14th December but GOD knows what he did with my the RO system has stopped woking again after his visit and since then he has been avioding all my calls .
          hE KEPT ON TELLING ME THAT HE IS COMING IN 30 MINS FROM 2 PM ONWARDS AND SINCE THEN HE IS NOT PICKING MY CALLS FROM MY CELL, WHEN CALLED FROM A DIFFERENT NUMBER HE DID PICK UP THE CALL(3:45 pm APPROX) AND AGAIN SAID HE IS COMING IN 30 MINS BUT SINCE THEN NOT PICKING MY CALLS.
          Also I would like to bring to your notice that MR. Raman ([protected]) has been very rude in his language and should be educated on customer service ethics.I called him on 14th November at 1:15 pm approx to ask about the executive who came to my house in the morning - First he did not pick my call I called him atleast 6-7 times then I recive a sms that "Having Lunch" to which I reverted back "Its urgent" with a call from my side, which was then picked up in a growling tone saying " please let me have my lunch in peace".
          I need was just to have the visiting technician's number . In none of the purchase documents it is mentioned that a customer cannot call in some specific working hours.
          Secondly I was struggling here for WATER - which Mr.Raman didnt bother to give any weightage and his only priority was to have his lunch in peace .
          thirdly his rude tone with no responsibilty to address and entire afternnoon, evening and night I had to arrange water from the market .
          Till evening 7:30 PM I called him many times but he didnt pick my call even once.
          I have a request to the Managing Director, please look into your manpower slection and the management staff who directly deal with customers, they are ruining your company .
          INHUMAN ATTITUDE
          These men are so inhuman, that inspite of telling them that I have a SMALL BABY of 20 months and I have NO source of drinking water other than RO filter water, they have LEFT ME in a difficult situation giving false promises and no information when and who will come and fix my RO system
          I would request you to see how to solve this problem, I had such BAD experience buying a KENT product, such a waste to money.
          I will find a way to communicate the same to HEMA MALINI JI through my sources and channels so that she atleast knows that she has endorsed such a rubbish product REST I SHALL leave to her conscience AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY.
          I shall recommend not to buy any KENT product as the company has no capacity to handle after sales service and has hired a bunch to rogues, liers and rude, extremely inexperienced men to handle after sales(engineer term is not the right word to describe these men)
          If such pathetic services will continue. I am force to launch a social media campaign against KENT RO.
          If immediate attention is avoided then your 50 reasons to choose KENT will fall short to 100 reasons NOT TO CHOOSE KENT.

            sir, i have purchased a kent mineral ro water purifiers 0n 1.12.2009. after completion of one year i took AMC (annual maintenance contract) for each year afterwards. now the current service period is 30.11.2011 to 29.11.2012 which is a full service contract with full replacement of parts. now since last three months a have been complaining again and again. after every complain a service executive comes and checks the machine and and after servicing returns and says machine is ok. but after repeated efforts the problem is not solved. last time the executive told that the RO filter needs to be replaced which is covered under the AMC. but he replaced the same with a regenerated parts not with the new part which is covered under the AMC. problem still persists. please look into the matter.

              KENT RO: POOR SERVICE AND QUALITY
              Dear sir,

              I have purchased a Kent gold water purifire on 23/04/2012 through vinayek Traders (Bikaner) and installed at my house. Just after one month of purchase I started facing trouble with the system. In the beginning it usese after a month of purchase it started leaking as well.

              Initially I had to call technician once in a week but now situation has gone worse and thus I am forced to call technician atleast 5 times in a week. Infact I have to call many a times to the service provider so that he can send technician for its repair. Its been 4 months now and I am not getting any resolution to this.

              This particular product has some kind of manufacturing defect due to which my family is facing problem of drinking water.

              When I tried calling company's phone number: [protected] I was put on hold and got no response, and thus I had to disconnect. Then I filed a complaint on their website and got response to contact at[protected] in case o[censored]rgency. When for the second time in the same day the water purifier do'nt fillter water and virce, I tried contacting at the same number but it was not reachable.

              This is causing mental trauma and I feel really harrassed because I have to beg for its service every time for which I have already paid such a big amount.

              I am looking for a proper and timely resolution to this problem, please help me with the same.and write to vinayek treders bikaner.

                  Kent elite 2 machine was purchased in the month of January from Qasmi Engineer dealer of Kent Water Purifiers. Within 2 months we started facing problem with the machine. Every time we log a complaint and we have to wait for more than 15 to 20 days for KENT's engineer to come and solve the problem. Our's is a production company with total strength of 250 employees. When the problem arises we have to order atleast 30 bottles of water per day which cost us Rs.35/- per bottle of 25 ltr bisleri water.
                  There is no seriousness in solving the issues logged by compalint. Request you to pls look into this matter.

                    I had bought a new Kent RO Model No -Super Plus from one of the CSD Canteens in Secunderabad. On purchasing thee sales representative told me to call up on [protected] to get thee water purifier installed thee first time by a Kent representative. I tried thee number many times however no one picked up thee phone. Finally on 13 August 2012 a lady recived thee phone and told theat a person would come thee next day by 1200h for thee installation. The next day no one came and on inquiring i was told theat he would come on 17the. However still no one turned up till late in thee evening. Again i called up on thee above mentioned number and was told theat by 1200h next day thee installation will be done. However thee next day i.e on 18the Aug 2012 no one turned up. on calling up again i was told theat thee indl would now come by 1500h, still no one came by 1500h. Finally a person called Mr K Nagaraju from Spacenet DTH Services, AS Rao Nagar came at 1800h. I am sorry to say but he was so unprofessional theat he could only drill two holes in my kitchen wall in one hour and theat too not properly. I looked as theough he was handling a Drill Machine for thee first time. After hanging thee water purifier he didn't know how to install thee pipe connections and asked for a plumber to come and do it. When i said theere is no plumber available he asked for my phone to call up someone on [protected] as he didn't have balance in his phone and theen called up anotheer number [protected] and spoke in Telugu which i didn't understand. After theat he left saying he would return thee next day. However till date neitheer has he turned up nor has anyone else followed up on theis issue. I tried calling up theat lady whom i first contacted but she didn't pick up my phone, finally i called her up from some otheer no, she picked up and gave me thee number of some Mr Pawan ([protected]) of golden liquids solutions who had sent Mr Nagaraju. I bought a Kent RO only because i trusted your brand and many people recommended Kent over Eureka Forbes. But after thee initial experience now i feel i should have not patronized in your brand, Kindly give me a workable solution as thee water purifier is lying useless in my house. And also give me one reason as to why i should trust your company and not lodge a complaint in thee consumer court.

                    I request an immediate action on theis.

                      Dear Sir / Madam

                      My name is Mr. Abhishek Kapur and I am one of your customers in Noida. I am afraid to inform you that this is the first product / serivce in my life which has frustrated me and my family to such an extent.

                      Since we have bought it almost 2 years back it is giving troubles and have been spending a lot of money on the filters and the membranes.

                      The latest case is when on 13.05.12 we changed both the membrane and filter. It got damaged and then replaced on 04.07.12 (within 1.5 months itself). Today again on 25.08.12 it has got damaged i.e with 1.5 months again. Again we have to spend around 3000/-. This is not all acceptable. Your product does not even run for 3 months. I spoke to Mr. Arun in your service center and the response was simply that it is because of the bad quality of the water and hence we have to live with this everytime.

                      This shows that your product has been designed in such a way so that every now and then we have to spend this money. This is shear harrasment on behalf of your company. I am hereby changing my RO to a different company and would not recommend Kent to anyone.

                      It was a really a very painful experience with Kent...

                      If this mail is being read by someone responsible in your company would thereby appeal to him, please stop cheating your customers like this.

                      KENT / GRAND+ — The kent ro is not working and we have also tell that are ro is not working and they are ignore the complaints.

                      THE KENT Person that is coming to repair the ro it is just seeing it and not even reparing it's single part of it. Because of the ro is in warrenty.And not cleaning the ro.Please take of the complaint.

                      Kent Pearl from Kent — Machine failed for the 4th time

                      I purchased Kent Pearl Water purifier on 6/4/2011, the sl. no of the machine is KR[protected] and the invoice no. is 2849. Since then the machine has failed to work 4 times and last 3 times they have repaired and it has worked only for a month and again the problem comes up. Last time, during September, i insisted to replace the machine but the local dealer convinced and again repaired and went away. Now again the problem has occured and the machine is not working.

                      Their response to customer call is pathetic, on 24th & 28th i have registered a complaint online and till date no response from their end. This seems ridiculous, one hand they supply a defective machine on the other hand they don't respond to customer service calls.

                      Please help me to get rid of this defective machine, i don't have any confidence on the repairs they do on the machine, i have spent Rs 15500 on this machine and i am not able to use the same peacefully for atleast 2 months since i purchased.

                      I am writing this mail in vain and want to report the pathetic service that i have been experiencing since the time i bought my KENT PEARL WATER PURIFIER model.

                      Serial No. - KR11052917
                      Date of Purchase: 12th October 2011

                      I have been facing a problem with my device since about 6 months now. The water outlet would always flush out too much of water and I would have to change the bucket under it time and again. Well, initially i thought maybe it was just a part of the process, since i had no doubt about the company image of Kent. But gradually my doubts turned into nightmares as the amount of water being flushed out kept increasing by the day.
                      Anyways, I started calling the dealer who sold me the device, since the warranty card said that any defects whatsoever (unless by mishandling), and most of the time the person did not even understand what i was speaking. I was horrified at the kind of response i was getting. Anyways, on August 18th I decided to go to the outlet myself to get my problem addressed. They said my problem will be solved soon since it was a problem with the membrane only and it can be replaced. I waited for 10 days calling them up each day but they just kept delaying it. On 2nd September i decided to visit the outlet again where to my horror i was told that i would have to pay for the membrane as it is not covered in the warranty. I went through the warranty card again and saw that it very clearly says that any defects whatsoever within the warranty period would be covered free of cost unless it is due to mishandling. Anyways now i have understood that my device wasnt functioning since May but i realized by August. The customer service people are doing nothing but delaying the response in order for the warranty period to get over.

                      They give me useless excuses at times like " Sir your device's membrane is being sent from our main store from another city" or "Sir, You will have to pay for it".

                      Now, I am sick and tired of this non-sense. I have realize not only that it is not the amount of money i wasted on numerous phone calls and fuel i burnt to go to them time and again to complain. It is also not worth my energy to argue with the customer care people as not only do i feel they lack common sense but they are extremely rude. I am now trying one last time to get my problem resolved before i have to file a case against Kent in the consumer court and let the law decide the further course of action. So, If any of the Kent Customer Service Heads do get to read this please let me know if my matter can be resolved without me having to approach the court.

                      Please tell what leagal action u opted to sort out your problem as i m also having the similar problem. On april 22 2013 wwe purchased a kent grand RO. from Sai electricals, mansarovar jaipur.At the time of installation the vendor took away the installation card with him.within 1 months it started leaking water.on 23 may a vendor from green aura(in mansarovar, jaipur)visited a did something with machine.afterwards the machine stopped intaking water. after so any calls green aura refused to take care of the machine.
                      Then seller send some vendor who told that UV blast and pump had some Problem.
                      we send mails to [protected]@kent.co.in.
                      then a vendor from vansh electronics changed the UV blast.but they refused to change the motor as the installation card was being taken away with the 1st vendor.
                      i have mailed the company to replace the defective machine which they sold to us with a new one .but no one is taking care of our problem.

                        I purchase one Kent super R O water purification from Oms Enterprises- Laksar road, Kankhal, Haridwar-UK. against Bill no. 964 dt. 28.03.12. But after one month that purifier remain sick, so many time we complained to the dealer and he also send the mechanic every time but these mechanic are not fully trained.Because they are not able rectify the defect. When we, ask him to change the product, he is not agree to do that.

                          Kent Kolkata team and their authorized dealer Airan International harassing unnecessarily for money and not servicing the RO.

                          They are threatening me and are not sending their technician regarding the service of Kent Super + RO Invoice date 16 April 2012 Invoice Number AI/KAL/020/12-13 Date of Installation 18 April 2012.

                                Charging twice for the same part of the product to be replaced within 10 days..
                                We purchased Kent RO on 24/8/08. Recently the water tap got damaged. We lodged the complaint on 20/7/09 vide no. 8828 with Bangur Agent[protected].
                                Despite the repeated request nobody has turned up to repair the machine. We tried to contact Mr Sengupta ([protected]) supposedly some senior official. Unfortunately he did not respond to the call.
                                I feel the class of service is disgusting and frustrating.

                                In addition, it may also be mentioned that the company has very poor track record of service.
                                They never came for routine service nor changed carbon candle (supposed to be changed in six months of purchase)

                                You need to take urgent steps to attend to the calls of customers.

                                  I had lodged a complaint for repairing my Kent water purifier in last week of July 2012 for impure water, Compalint no A2066 on [protected], Noone has yet come to service it.When I dail your dealer Aqua World from where I brought the machine they told that the complaint is closed.I asked them to take action against this criminal negligence they behaved rudely with me and told to talk to their manager on [protected].No body picked up the call on this number after i repeatedly called.My guarantee is going to expire in a week

                                  Can somebody take an action on this criminal negligence.

                                  kent grand + — Repeated Repairs

                                  I had been using the Kent Grand + for the past year and half. Till now I had spent more than Rs.7000 other than Rs.14500 for the accessories and repairs and it has been a nightmarish experience using this product. Every time a service personnel comes in and changes a part it results in another problem. I feel they are not adequately trained on the product and they supply refurbished parts rather than original parts. It has been a disgusting experience with this Kent product. I feel like not recommending this product to anyone in future to avoid similar experience

                                    The Ro Filter in my machine has been changed on 31.1.2012..
                                    since the machine not working I have asked the authorised dealer from whom I have purchased('Jai Vignesh Electronics, New No.117 Periyar Pathai, Choolaimedu Chennai 600094) to inspect it. Mr. Palani the mechanic who came on 14.8.2012 and inspected , said The RO has to
                                    be changed and the cost of new one is Rs.2250/. When I told that the existing RO was changed by him only on 31st Jan 2012, he said its warranty only for 3months.Hence I have to purchase a new one.
                                    I want to know whether the warranty is only for 3 months . What I have to do? Whether i have to purchase a new one?

                                    The Life of Ro Membrane Depends Upon the Input water conditions ( Like turbidity, Bacterial contamination, beside Salinity, Hardness and slica ), and the performance of the membrane ( capacity to produce low salinity water ) decease due to the scale formation of dissolved solids and clay particles . Tap water membrane which is used in domestic water filters are tested with a salinity (TDS) of 750 PPM using Nacl solution at turbidity less than 1 NTU to give about 8000 ltrs during its life time. There is a possibility of chocking of membranes during rainy seasons and when every the home sumps or over head tanks are cleaned, which leave very high concentration of clay (Mud) which ultimately clogs the prefilters and the membranes.

                                    Keeping of good observation of the unit and maintaining a log and use of Company genuine parts . Use of proper type of prefiltration shall definitely help .

                                    The amount of cost involved in maintaining a RO unit shall be about Rs 0.60 / liter where in U[censored]V and Ro process are engaged which is still worth .

                                      I have logged a complain thru' your web site on the poor quality of service + product of KENT System. Seems the complain has been closed w/o any corrective action. My product is still in malfunction stage. Appreciate your intervention and support to have my concern addressed. I am sharing the details once again.

                                      "I had purchased Kent Grand+ , sl no KR[protected] on dated 22/03/10.

                                      While buying I had great thrust on product, its quality and services. It is really heartening that with 3 months my trust got shattered. It failed on 24th June Evening. Which has raised finger on quality of product.

                                      Later based on call from KENT, I had signed the AMC contract for period 16th Aug’11 to 16th Aug’12 and paid Rs.2100/-. In Nov’11, I paid once again Rs.2755 for Filter & Membrane. Now not even 6 months has gone Filter & Membrane has failed again. As per KENT I need to pay 3200/- to rectify the problem. I am struggling and sening communication to KENT management since May'12. Yet to see any quality response from them. Rather their Customer care Manager responding to customer with BOLD and RED color fonts.

                                      My only question to you and all the reader of this site .... to maintain a product Value 12K, does a customer require to pay 8K for 2nd year?
