I have bought a lenovo laptop 3000 N 100 and here are the issues that i had faced.
1. There was a problem playing Music /Video from the Drive while i copy some data across the drives, I reached the IBM service center they said i have to reinstall the OS. But i was able to get the issue resolved with just few mouse clicks. This shows how technically good they are.

2. As usual the battery dies just few months before the warrenty could go and got a new battery replaced and that also died even before a year could complete. So this is the quality of the product supplied by lenovo. i have sent a email to smcindia where i have not received a reply till date. Useless Cutomer care, Hate calling it Care they dont care.

3. Now that my battery was down one day there was not display and the BIOS would not come up. walked up to the service centre and i know about the warranty stuff they would say. So i agreed to pay for the COMPLETE HARDWARE DIAGNOSTICS for the laptop to tell me what was the problem.Rs1600 approx.

I have got an email from them saying replace motherboard and the issue will be resolved. What a great diagnostics ? And i spoke to the engineer and he said they do a part level diagnostics so i dont know why the recepetionist called it a complete hardware diagnostics ?

Replacing the motherboard isnt an answer. I had asked what was the problem in motherboard he said he will not do that. and the charge for giving me this stupid suggestion of replacing my motherboard was 1600rs.

I would say this Lenovo 3000 N 100 is a cheap quality product from lenovo and it shouldbe banned. Also complete hardware diagnostics cheat by the IBM service centers should be strictly informed to all pubilc and save from from getting into this kind of stupid diagnostics.

So u pay money and get a cheap product, and again u pay money for diagnostics and get nothing.

Best part was the replacement of that mother board was approx 30k where my laptop cost was nearly 35k.

I WILL NOT RECOMMEND LENOVO AS A QUALITY PRODUCT AT ANY POINT OF TIME IN MY LIFE.

Lenovo Laptop — hardware issue resolved

i have purchased lenovo laptop 77613aq after 8 months my odd started giving problem everytime i had to replace i have replaced my odd 18 times but it works good for 20 days n then again it will stop working i am totally frustrated with this i paid 55,000 for this

its very disappointing to inform the laptop which i purchased from croma, ahmedabad leptop model is Z 580i idea pad with 3 years warrenty in nov 2012.its harddisk was crashed in 10 days . . . . .of purchase date.

then i got a complain registered and it took 15 days to get the job done defective hard disk was replcaed by new one

after that my leptop usage was not extensive now same problem occurs as past .so i think another harddisk crashed once again

this laptop has annoyed me a lot i think this peice is onle defective and i waste my 38500.00 rs requisting you to replace the piece

    I bought a lenovo Y-510 series laptop (product model[protected]Q and serial no. ME-15025) on date-- 23 june 2008 at 7:26:03 pm (i have attached copy of invoice with this mail)
    from S.A.Infosys, plot no.-6, 1st floor, sahid nagar, Bhubaneswar, Orissa.

    From the very 1st day (i.e. 23 june 2008)at 9:00pm when i reached home happily with my new laptop, unfortunately i discovered that my laptops DVD-ROM is not functioning, not
    reading or writing any type of cd/dvd.So i called the Dealer at pnone no.[protected], they told me to come tomorrow with laptop.
    I went with my laptop at 3:00 pm, and he told it was minor problem and he returned on same day.

    But my problem was not yet over.I had a new series of problems were waiting for me.
    After using my laptop for 15 days i started to face driver problems such as volume controll key stopped working, touch pad stopped working, key board was not working.
    So i called customer care and they told me to formate my laptop and reload the OS and driver.But after doing that i had still same problem.
    so, finally they(customer care) gave me a complain no.--[protected] and told me to submit my laptop at lenovo service centre at bhubaneswar(Wizer tech, gopabandhu sqr.bbsr).


    I submitted my laptop on16/10/2008 to the above mentioned office, they kept it for 1 month.after 1 month they called me to collect the laptop as it is repaird.
    but when i went there, my laptop was in same condition as it was before.then i checked my laptop there only at service centre, not even a single problem was solved.
    Then they told me to submit my laptop for more 2 days.
    but i denied, and came back with my defective laptop.
    some how i managed it with that persisting problem.


    Again after 20 days, i discoverd that my laptop hinge case has started producing cracking sound, and i was not able to open the lid of laptop.later on i found that i was cracked.
    I called again C.Care on 5th jan.2009, they gave me CASE no.--L915005Q, and told me to submitt my laptop.
    After one and half month that is on 26/02/2009 collecetd my laptop.

    Now after two days i.e. on 28/02/2009 i found that my wi-fi is not working, there is very low data trasnfer, internet surfing is very very slow.
    And on 1/3/2009 i found that my DVD-ROM switch is not working.not able to eject my dvd.
    I called C.Care on 2/3/2009, they gave me a new case no. L932005R, and told to submit the laptop to service centre.

    Now i am fed up with this laptop, it is not possible for to go to service centre very frequently since i am a MBBS student, it is not possible to miss my classes .
    I have called to C.Care many a times, but never got satisfactory results.

    I have decided to complain a case against LENOVO INDIA LTD at consumer court, i have all the documents and proof with me.


    NOW, i realized that my 50, 0000 rs went into dustbin, and i have done a great great mistake by chosing lenovo laptop for my studies.
    i dont want to see this laptop again in my study table this LAPTOP is a DUPLICATE CHINESE LAPTOP.
    plz do me a favour, plz send me a address where i can send my DEFECTIVE laptop back, get my LAPTOP replaced with a ORIGINAL LENOVO LAPTOP.


    kindly do look into my matter, i cant manage it anymore,
    i am mentally very harassed by this laptop

    i am not at all satisfied with the complaint forum..
    my problem is not solved even after complaining in this forum.
    no action has been taken till now..
    i have a LENOVO 3000 Y500 series laptop. its 2 years old and had no problem. but now in the summer it gets very hot near the processor and gets turned off very quickly.can ne one help me out

        I leaved in Pilkhuwa district ghaziabad. I purchased a laptop in march 2008. brand name is LENOVO and model idea pad Y[protected]Q the cost of it 52000/- Rs. I facing many problems from the date of purchase. I detect a problem that laptop automatically restart. can not log on window for this i complaint in lenovo care and locked the call for repair it in the date 10 january 2009 but could not repair till now. I am suffering physically financially cause of that. I complaints many Times in lenovo care but not get solution for that. problem case id is L91A00L7
        I purchased a laptop in September 2007. Brand name is LENOVO
        I facing a problem that my laptop has no battery back up. Then I contacted the service centre at Calicut- the Redington, P.T.Usha Raod, 4th Railway Gate, Calicut – 673002 many times. Every time they are telling that one IC is damaged, it will be corrected soonly. Now this is the fifth month, pathetically it is not repaired so far. I am suffering physically financially because of that.

          I have purchaged a Lenovo Laptop on 31st May 2008. Again I have extended its warranty under your 2 yrs warranty extension scheme through your representative of aforeserve, Patna by paying Rs. 5800 in form of cheque ( Which has been cleared in dec'2008 ) on 19th Dec. 2009.

          But its a matter of great sorrow that despite of repeated request, no any document has sent to me by your office regarding the same. I have requested to all of you through mail or phone several times, but got no any positive response fromyour end.

          Now you are compelling me to go under legal advice for the same if again you are not taking any action to solve my problem.

            I have purchased the laptop on 22nd December 2008, Got the Finance from Bajaj Finance, It was told that I will get the Copy of Aggrement, Extended Warranty Papers and Insurance papers ( I have pay the extra amount for this ) after 15 days till date ( 58 days passed ) I have not recd the papers.

            If any accident happens who I can I get the claim & when should I get the papers.

                I had posted a complaint on this site about a month back about non delivery of free gifts under diwali double dhamaka scheme. The next day i got a call saying that the goods will be dispatched by the end of Feburary. I have still not recieved the gift!!! Seriously, how long does it take to just send the gifts??? Please just send them because i am tired of waiting. I would have rather bought those items way back instead of waiting for around 3 months.
                PLEASE DO SOMETHING. PLEASE.
                Please give the guy his gifts. It happened with me too. your delivery of gifts is VERY VERY SLOW.

                        I had purchase a lenovo pc on diwali from "DEEPAK SALES 1st C ROAD SARDARPURA, JODHPUR"
                        Our cabinet make too much noise when we boot (start) the computer. But It should not make noise. Sir when we contact our dealer he just did nothing. he just said that this none of his matter. we should talk to lenovo service centre. They told us that they will send an engineer to solve this probelem

                            Sir/Madam,
                            I have purchased a Desktop pc from a dealer in Jammu during Diwali, as there is a special offer for buying the PC during diwali .As per the lenovo i would be entitle for free gifts(worth about 4000). after buying the PC i have registered for the gifts by the dealer at website channel-technologies.com, which is an outsource firm of lenovo to supply the gifts. As per the dealer statement i will be intimated at my email id regarding where i have to send the xerox copies of Receipt and orignal cutting of the PC packaging box serial no. till now i have not got any gift from lenovo. When consulted to dealer he told that channel technology is the wholesole authority to distribute gifts. when consulted with channel technologies they refused as the orignal Serial no and xerox receipt not received.they mailed me to consult lenovo further.when consulted with lenovo they refused to talk at this matter saying that u have to read the privacy statement before registering ur PC for gifts.
                            Can i consider the matter to takeup in consumer court.pls guide me

                              This is to draw your kind attention to the fact that I am undergoing a lot of sufferings after purchasing a Lenovo laptop. I had to repair it 7 times in less than a year. In the last case they promised to replace my laptop if it again malfunctions, but now as expected shying away from it, since, I don’t have a written prove. I am giving you all the case-IDs, which will show that almost all hardware parts have been replaced, specially Optical Disc Drive(ODD) which cripples the machine . In spite of that at present my ODD, speaker & a key is not working.

                              Lenovo Laptops — service not upto mark

                              we have been selling lenovo laptops from the past 2 years but the service of the company is hopeless.they are not responding to the complaints being made by my customers.1 of the laptop case is 1 month old are the only reply from their side is that there is no stock available with them.

                              apart from that this is always there trend of not providing service at proper time.

                                Lenovo Laptops — Poor Service ---- need help

                                Hi,
                                My husband had bought a lenovo Y serise laptop with original Microsoft Vista as OS from S.A Infotech, Bhubaneswar about 1 years ago.Within one month of purches we found IE appchrase issue, we had lodge lots of complaints against it but they didnot respond to my complains.
                                Today when i open my laptop its screen doesn't show anything. so We take laptop to the lenevo showroom they told us that we charge RS. 1600 to look into this and it may required Rs.8000 to Rs.9000 to fix the problem, so you first decide and collect the money then contact us. Is this the way the Lenevo treat their customer.Its only one year of buying a product worth Rs.45000 is like this .
                                i am just feed up with this type of service.I feel we were cheated for buying this brand.

                                I need you should think of it.Please help me in this regards.

                                I HAVE PURCHASED A LAPTOP OF LENOVO COMPANY FROM NETCOM COMPUTER, INDORE (M.P.) BUT AFTER 4 MONTH IT'S KEY BOARD HAS BEEN DEAD. I HAVE SUMMITED IT IN LENOVO SERVICE CENTER ON 21/11/2008 CASE ID IS L8BI00VE. THEY TOLD ME WE ARE REPAIRING IT. THERE IS SOME PROBLEM IN MOTHER BOARD AND WE WILL CONTACT YOU AFTER 3 WORKING DAYS AND CHANGE MOTHER BOARD BUT AFTER 3 DAYS THEY TOLD ME TO GIVE US SOME MORE TIME BECAUSE IT'S BODY HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY US WE WILL CHANGE IT IN 3 WORKING DAYS BUT AFTER 3 DAYS WHEN I CONTACTED TO SERVICE CENTER THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE NOT IN THE POSITION TO TELL ME HOW MUCH TIME IT WILL TAKE. THEN I CALLED TO CUSTOMER CARE AND MR. SHIVAM TOLD ME THAT HE ALSO DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON AND HOW MUCH TIME IT WILL TAKE HE TOLD ME COMPANY IS NOT MANUFACTURING PARTS SO I TOLD HIM IT'S NOT MY FAULT AND I DON'T WANT SAME LAPTOP AND CHANGE IT BECAUSE MY TIME IS WASTING AND I AM LOOSING MY WORK SO HE TOLD ME IT'S NOT POSSIBLE BECAUSE IT'S UNDER WARRANTY AND WE CAN NOT CHANGE IT WE CAN REPAIR IT. AND TOLD HIM ABOUT CONSUMER FORUM, AFTER A LONG DISCUSSION THEY ACCEPTED THEIR FAULT AND ASSURE ME TO GIVE NEW LAPTOP WITH IN 3 WORKING DAYS AND TOLD ME APPROVAL HAS BEEN RECEIVED AND SAME THING HAS BEEN CONFORMED WITH MR. NITIN PODDAR AND MR. ABHAY PODDAR WHO IS OWNER OF NETCOM COMPUER AND SERVICE CENTER BUT TODAY 5 DAYS HAS BEEN PASSED BUT I HAVE NOT RECIEVED ANY CALL FROM LENOVO CUSTOMER CARE OR SERVICE CENTER.                                 Lenovo Laptop — free gifts not received

                                Hi this is Amit goyal, and I have purchased a Lenovo laptop from authorised dealer name is simco computer system from Agra. At the time of purchasing, I have been told by simco for 2 free gifts out of 9……… date on 18th oct. 2008. I registered myself on the Lenovo website and send all the required documents to channel technology at noida at that time………...now the time of dec. ending yet not get any response by them then I called to noida to ask for the gifts. I talked with sharad on phone and get response to made a mistake in invoice no. that’s why my gifts has been rejected by them and told me to talk his senior name was arfa for further detailed then I called to arfa and respond me same like sharad…….. then after clear my invoice no. to her …………..she told me a another mistake in purchasing date……………ohhhhhhhhh it was really a very bad response as a kids. I was really very disappointed to get this type of behaviour by them. Then I complain to Mr. sharad sharma(north sales head) but yet not getting any positive response by them also even no any positive response by the Lenovo registered office(Banglore).
                                I have read a lot of problem going with the people on this consumer forum site. Out of them some have a problem for gifts……….. even some customer send the DD behalf of channel tech. and yet not get any free gifts and some have a problem from service centre ……….i think that’s not a fair deal by the international company.
                                I request u to consider on my difficulty along with all the customer who all are suffer by your company.
                                Now for all the customer who do not get any positive response by them…………..to all just i want to say that after this above mentioned mail if we will not be respond by them then no need to sit keep mum. Its ODD was replaced with a new one.But after 1 moth it again stop to read CDs/DVDs. and recently it stop to read its Original vista Setup DVD.yesterday i took one key recovery and then it read only once the original driver DVD and again stop to read any cd/dvds. kindly give me a right solution.

                                I have a Lenovo Y500 laptop purchased in 2008 too, and it has the same problem. The DVD RW drive just doesn't work most of the time. Shows blank disks regardless of what is on them. Tried getting support, but nothing has helped.

                                I have purchased a Lenovo laptop of Y410 series before almost one and half year. It had a problem with CD/DVD RW the driver (just after 3-4 months of getting purchased, although it was not used much) that it could not read/write CD/DVD and the same was resolved by chaging it. Since then I have changed it two more times after the one year Warranty and now it is having the same problem for a few days. I am really fed up with this and will be grateful if you could tell some stable resolution of this problem ASAP.

                                I am David Wagner M. Reyno a CPA from the Philippines and I have bought a Lenovo Y430.

                                My laptop is just 6 months in my possession yet my dvdrw is no longer working. I went back to the retailer that sold to me the unit. I was made to wait 2 months after which I got my dvdrw back. However, after a month, I experience the same problem again. I went back to the retailer again and they told me that I would most probably wait for about the same length of time! So if I am to avail of this slow warranty service again, that would be tantamount to waiting for 4 long months in total!

                                I have the same problem as I am seeing have piled up in this forum. I bought a lenovo 3000 Y410 laptop last year on 21st march. I started experiencing with it's DVD drive 3 months back. The laptop was under warranty period so the Lenovo service centre fixed it, but I started experiencing similar problems a month back. First it stopped reading userburned discs then it amounted to stop reading any discs but the recovery discs provided with the laptop. Now even they aren't being read by my drive. I therefore ask for urgent assistance in this matter. I must stress that I am duly disappointed by the lack of response to our queries by lenovo on such matters.

                                I had a worst experience of Lenovo Laptop , i have sent service requests many a time but no response from the serice centre , online customer support providing service complaint number everytime but no service centre is responding for repair. i have laptop under 3 years onsite warranty but i am facing a problem from last one year and after many complaints it is still waiting for response ...be carefull before buying LENOVE LAPTOP.

                                This is Mayur Malviya form Jabalpur and my complaint is about Lenovo Laptop. I had Purchased Lenovo laptop on 16.11.2012 and now after 1.5 year its keypad is not working properly and when i contacted to Coustmer care department they said its out of warrenty.

                                Kindly help me sir because now if i have to replace that keypad with charge and the cost is near about Rs ;- 4000/- and with in 1.5 year this problem has been rised.

                                  I have been facing serious issues in my laptop(lenovo 7757 82Q). Earlier it was the speakers stopped working, then the DVD drive dint work. i have got this DVD drive replaced three to fou times. i cant even make a backup of my data. my laptop serial number is MA91N4T. today is the last day before my warranty expires. iam going again to the service centre with the same issue of DVD drive not working.

                                  had a problem with my g550 sl no CBQ0319531. I am not able to do the one key recovery as it is showing available space is not enough, maybe due to increased size of hard disk after each defragmentation.

                                  Since last 24 hrs I am trying to get in touch Through the toll free nos but non of the toll free nos published in the official website are working viz[protected], [protected], [protected] and the feedback on service toll free no [protected] where I spoke to Uday couple of time is also not responding, probably blocked intentionally. It seems these two nos [protected], [protected] were also blocked intentionally since I got connected twice yesterday but disconnected after the call was transferred to the technical dept. I have also sent 5 emails to the [protected]@lenovowarranty.co.in and also got disconnected after 3 minutes of STD call to the no[protected]. But no response since 24 hrs.

                                    I had visited to your service station which is located at J.O.P PLAZA SECTOR-18 3rd FLOR. NOIDA named INGRAM MICRO. Sinces last four month the day when note book SCREEN LOCK get infected (flap problem loose from right side and gap) .

                                    Hope some one will come forward to solve my problems

                                      This is in regards with with Ref code RED[protected] .Purchase date : 26/10/08: Customer name : Suvarna Jawalkar.

                                      Our claim status for a Titan Watch & a Philips Mp3 player was rejected due to a serial number mismatch while online registration.

                                      Due to some confusion the Model number was written instead of the serial number. But we have submitted all the relevant documents which are sufficient to prove the purchase is authentic. Upon contacting your customer center their executive Mr Sharad straightly refused to help in this matter. We had purchased this laptop because of the gifts on offer. We are ready to send them any other proof they may require for the verification.

                                      Since our purchase is genuine & we carry all the proofs we are surely eligible for the gifts.Requesting you to look into the matter. Please help us.
