I mohd rafiq, had purchased a lg flat slim model no 29fg2rge ctv on 12th january, 2008 from ajanta electronics, sakinaka, mumbai. The tv was faulty having patches which on complaint the dealer got it replaced but the replaced tv too consisted of the same problem which then the dealer forwarded to the company.


A technician was sent from the company who visited my place and adjusted some yoke in the tv which was of no use and indeed the patches increased to the worst .Then the tv got replaced by the company on 12th february, 2008.The replaced tv had the same problem on which i asked for a senior engineers assistance, to which a technician mr rajbhar visited and said that he would send his senior to see the problem .A senior engineer mr. Singh visited my place after 2-3 days and to my surprise he explained me the difference between a mercedes car and a maruticar .It was really great to know that you have people who can explain such things rather than what their work is, he assured and promised me of inquiring whether the same problem occurs in other tvs and would call me, but he dint returned even a call.
The other technician i.E. Mr rajbhar said to me that your tv is cheap therefore it has such low picture quality which he said in front of the dealer. Is it that you make big promises about your globally renowned products that are said to be best in class and of the highest quality which your own technicians consider to be a cheap product.
Now i too think that your senior engineer and technician were correct about the quality of your product.
By now i am fed up of your cheap quality of service and product .I even called up the mumbai branch manager mr. Ankur joshi (Mobile no. [protected]) on 11th april, 2008 who assured me of returning back a call for a feedback and said that, "i know my job". And now even after 4 days i understand how much he knows about his job and on what basis lg appoints responsible people that too in customer services.
I am totally frustrated and exhausted by this sort of irresponsible and irritable behaviour of your technicians, senior engineer, service manager and dealer.The dealer even insist me on getting other brands. You make big promises about the quality charter, your customer services, responses and quality products and even the 6 sigma's.
At the end i would like to say that i want a refund in a week or else i would to my dissatisfaction would hav to go to consumer guidance society and other such organisation to put a light on your customes services and your commitment to excellence and quality as mentioned in your advertisements and booklets.
I hope to notice some response or action as soon as possible

LG India — FAULTY PRODUCT, COMPONENTS AND POOR SERVICES

1. This in reference to my complaint No. RNA[protected] dt 29 Mar 2011 pertaining to my Plasma TV 42PQ30R and my subsequent emails thereto on subject of 04 Apr, 10 Apr and 25 Apr 11 respectively.

2. The complaint is still to be rectified and I think the reason is that it has not been understood in correct perspective. It seems there is some apprehension, since the mail has not been read by appropriate personnel in the hierarchy, hence having miscomprehension of the whole issue. Therefore, this letter so that the issue can be addressed in appropriate manner for mutual benefit of both i.e. the customer and the company.

3. Background. As a matter of fact, before I come to the main issue it is very relevant to understand the background to the whole problem as it is has an inter-se-relationship with the present issue and has connected implications. The same is given in succeeding paragraphs.

4. On 04 Mar 2010, I purchased LG Plasma TV 42PQ30R from NEXT Showroom located at Mall Road, Amritsar which was installed at my residence at 9 Harkirat Road, Amritsar the following day.

5. Subsequently, on 17 Nov 2010, I purchased LG Home Theatre HT762TZ from LG authorized dealer Indian Stores, Rajpur Road, Dehra Dun (my home town). On arrival at Amritsar i.e. my place of work on 19 Nov 2010, I spoke to the LG All India Help Line for product installation and demo. My request ID was C10B1934959.

6. On 20 Nov 10 an LG Service representative (Mr Binpreet Singh) visited my residence at the above mentioned address. However, he could not perform the task required and informed that some other person will come as it was beyond his purview.

7. I waited till 26 Nov 10 and thereafter contacted the dealer from whom I had purchased the product. Therefore, they on my behalf lodged for required assistance and service request. The ID given was C10B2625543, however no service engineer came.

8. On 29 Nov 10, I again lodged a complaint with Service ID No[protected] through the net giving complete details of the case. On 01 Dec 2010 a service representative visited, but regret to say he was not very much conversant with the system, though somehow managed to install the product. At the same time, the HDMI could not be activated as he stated that the HDMI cable was defective, which incidentally was a new cable.

9. On his advice, I purchased a new cable and on 02 Dec 10 a service representative again visited my residence. But, again he could not connect the Home Theatre to the Plasma TV through the new HDMI cable. This representative informed me that the fault lay with the card/motherboard of the Plasma TV and the Service Centre would get in touch with me. However, there was no response from the service centre.

10. On 04 Dec 10, I again through email contacted LG Service and on 06 Dec 10 they responded by saying that the issue had been forwarded to concerned Area Service Manager.

11. Consequently, the following day a service engineer visited my residence and changed the card/motherboard of the Plasma TV. However, the problem still persisted i.e. Home Theatre not getting connected to Plasma TV through HDMI cable. This service engineer informed me that the Home Theatre card was defective which he would rectify the next day subject to its availability.

12. After couple of days, the service engineer visited my place and rectified the Home Theatre card after which the system started functioning.

13. Now on 29 Mar 2011 the Plasma TV did not switch on for which I put in a complaint having ID No-RNA[protected]. The service representative (Mr Tejbir Singh) visited my place on 30 Mar 11, but the fault could not be rectified as he informed that there may be a problem with the card (which and what card? he was vague) and this needs to be changed and it would involve an expenditure of approximately Rs 4000/-, since it was out of warranty and also the part was not available with the service centre.

14. Later, Mr Jatinder, Area Service Manager got in touch with me and I explained the problem and told him that evidently the product is defective, since just in a span of year plus it has developed defect twice of similar nature, hence the issue needs to be looked differently. He assured me that he will look into the matter and if need be approach the concerned people. I also happen to remind him again on 20 Apr 11, however he being on leave informed me that he will revert back to me.

15. I again through email on 25 Apr 2011 forwarded the progress of complaint and the HO Customer Service Dept through return email replied that, “We have forwarded your product issue to the concerned branch office so that an immediate step can be taken in this regard”.

16. Status of Complaint. No response from anybody from LG, thus no meaningful progress till 30 Apr 2011.

17. Analysis and Issues to be Addressed. It will be quite pertinent to mention, that it is reasonably evident from the above that both the LG products(Plasma TV and Home Theatre system) which I have purchased suffer from following drawbacks/defects which is a matter of concern and they are:-

(a) Both the products developed defects within first year of purchase and
to be precise:-

(i) Plasma TV. 9 months from the date of purchase.

(ii) Home Theatre. Defective ab-intio from the date of purchase.

(b) Plasma TV again developing defect after 3 months of change of card, being similar in nature. The service engineer not being very sincere and transparent in his approach leads to credibility deficit.

(c) In all probability used LG Plasma TV being sold by the dealer i.e. NEXT and also same being the case with LG Home Theatre. Reason for doubt especially in case of Plasma TV being that after selection of product (04 Mar 2010) at the show room, the billing and payment was done at the time of delivery(04 Mar 2010) at home, as I was told that that the Plasma TV was not in stock and had to be brought from other place. The other place being questionable - as on further enquiring the delivery person did not elucidate. Hence, this doubt in retrospect.

(d) Defects pertain to cards in both the products and recurring as obvious in case of Plasma TV.

(e) Poor quality control at the time of production (Home Theatre being ab-initio defective) - inadequate quality checks at various stages of productions.

(f) Poor quality or spurious components being installed which is indicative from the fact that the same component getting defective in a span of 3 months in Plasma TV.

(g) Deliberate attempt to put components having functionality of 1 yr or less (1 yr warranty for a new product purchased) and for subsequent replacement of parts – maximum of 3 months warranty. This presumably with view to having an eye on the customer/consumers wallet so that either he keeps paying for the defects occurring or goes in for AMC as getting intimidated with recurring defects.

(g) Lack of integrity, poor values and morality on part of LG, though being a claimant to be "No. 1 LG" through the practice of "Jeong-Do" Management and LG's management principles, "Creating Value for Customers" and "Respecting Human Dignity,”- which I feel is doubtful with anguished customers like me.

18. Recommended Solution. In keeping with VISION of the company i.e to quote:
“LG strives for greatness in what we've identified as our three core capabilities: Product Leadership, Market Leadership, and People Leadership—each strength a key part of realizing our growth strategies for "fast innovation" and "fast growth".
LG Electronics is pursuing the vision of becoming a true global digital leader, attracting customers worldwide through its innovative products and design. The company’s goal is to rank among the top 3 consumer electronics and telecommunications companies in the world by 2010. To achieve this, we have embraced the idea of “Great Company, Great People,” recognizing that only great people can create a great company.”

Therefore, if LG truly wants to achieve its vision of being ranked among the world’s top three electronics, information, and telecommunications firms, then it will have to do much more than to be just jingoistic in its vision statement. Keeping in view all these aspects, following needs to be addressed immediately:-

(a) Plasma TV sold to me by NEXT outlet to be checked for its authenticity for not being a used piece and same to be replaced by a new set of similar model immediately.

(b) In addition, company should penalize the dealer (NEXT) so that in future the dealer does not resort to such unfair practices, thus spoiling the reputation of the company.

(c) In case, the Plasma TV is not a used piece sold by the dealer, then unfortunately this particular Plasma TV piece happens to have poor quality of components or at the time of manufacture inadequate quality control checks were applied. Thus, to avoid recurring major defects of similar nature and to mitigate customers agony, the Plasma TV set to be replaced with a same new set without any further delay.

19. Response. You are requested to respond to the course of action being taken and also the time frame required by the company to resolve issues pertaining to the complaint. As a matter of fact, it is now more than 30 days after logging the complaint and the whole system remains off road.

The customer is absolutely correct. LG has very poor services and products. In addition, as evident from the complaint it seems the company is not transparent and this can seen from their website, as no where they have mentioned the names of people in the management heading the company or deptts i.e top hierarchy or managers heading different deptt. Also, no contact addresses or email id is available except of the customer service complaint and that is why the customer has put in this complaint on this forum, as probably he is not able to get through to the right people in the management or escalate to right people who can understand his problem. The complaint is most probably attended by some very junior executive who has a very poor level o[censored]nderstanding and he must be deflecting the complaint to some deptt. in the company(basically monkey off my back) and there the head of that deptt. is also not bothered. Further, there seems to be no monitoring system/procedure/feedback pertaining to the complaint otherwise there would not have been such a lengthy complaint. Hope somebody in the management sees it and appropriately addresses it. Also, the complaint becomes more grievous and serious, since it seems that used products are being sold by the companys retail outlet and the components which are being replaced are also defective and of poor quality. As matter of fact if one carries out a survey, it will be noticed that LG rather being amongst the TOP THREE ELECTRONICS GOOD COMPANY MUST THE NO-1 COMPANY IN SELLING POOR, DEFECTIVE AND FAULTY PRODUCTS ALONG WITH VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICES. SO LG PLEASE WAKE UP.

LG Rd 6200 — MOBILE REPLACEMENT

I HAD A LG MOBILE HANDSET OF MODEL NUMBER RD6200 WHICH WAS PURCHASED BY ME ON 26TH of january 2010 and it got damaged on 19th of december 2010 which was under guarantee period... i hand it over to jodhpur lg service centre on 20th december... without any repair or replacement , they returned my cell on 24th of january and on very same day i took it to reliance communicationss centre ... than they give a written documents to take it to the shopkeeper to replace my handset...than that shopkeeper denied to replace my handset and asked me to go the distributer of jg mobile service and than i took those documents and my handset to SHOBHA AGENCIES , and till date he has not returned my cell... and not even sent it for replacemrnt..
i would be obliged if you listen to my complaint and help me out...
otherwise i will have to take action against LG MOBILES and go to CONSUMER COURTS...

I had purchased a LG Washing machine on 08/08/2010 i.e. just 8 months back from Croma at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad with 4 years warranty. About a month back my washing machine stopped working all of a sudden, so we placed a complain in LG service center. A week later a service guy([protected]) came and told us that the motor had gone bad and told us that it would take another week to get a new part. However, a week later there was no response from that guy, so we tried calling him but there was no answer from the other end. So, frustrated, we placed another complain via Croma. Now, a week later a guy called up([protected]) asking for the model no. of our washing machine and said that we will get it in couple of days, but again there was no response from there too..when we called him up he said that he had raised a request but it was in pending state probable because the part was not available, and in return gave us 3 more numbers([protected]) of his supervisors none of which worked. Then we finally went to Croma, the guy there called up another LG service guy, who said that the part is available and that we should call on [protected] and ask for that particular part.. On asking him why no action had been taken on our complain the person replied "There had been no reminder from the customer". Its been one month, there is no response on this no. too [protected].

LG Ac Form Hometown — Worst Shopping Experience

I am Abhishek Amarnath, I would like to share my worst shopping experience, On 16th May 2011 which was the worst day of my life as I purchased one window AC of LG from home town Lucknow vide the Sales order no [protected].

Till the time of making payment, entire team of Home Town were very friendly & supportive, But it to my utter surprise only after one hour they are not ready to even listen, What I am saying.

I am taking you to the entire incidence, On 16th May 2011 at 01:30 Pm, I purchased one window AC from Home Town & requested them to do the installation on the same day as my Old machine was not working. Before the swapping of my card, they were assured to do the Installation immediately.

Only after two hour when I enquired in store about the delivery of my product, One Madam picked the phone after full interview & showing great benevolence on me she transferred call to some Mr. Athar Ali.

This gentleman shown lot of apologies & given excuses “Sir as the stabilizer is readily not available in our ware house, So I am not able to deliver the goods tomorrow I will ensure the delivery & Installation” .

Today again I started the follow-up for the same so after my 3rd call, I got the delivery of the machine, Now I am doing the follow-up with the home town team for the Installation & after the following the same sequence of follow-up , 1st Madam after full interview with some call forwarding & conference getting repeatedly fake commitment from Mr. Athar Ali waiting for the installation.

Now I feeling I did a mistake by purchasing the goods form home town, the team of Lucknow home town is good for nothing, they are doing hell of fake commitments & telecaller madam is not ready to talk.
So finally I would like to sumup my buying experience with Home Town, Pls. buy the good from home town if you have

1. Good patience level for doing the follow-up.
2. Excessive money for wasting in calls.
3. Willing to spoil your day & mood.
4. Wanting smash up yourself respect by one telecaller.

Finally you will get some petty discount, Lot of fake commitments & misbehavior, So it is my advice to all buyer who are going to buy any product form Home Town “Please think twice”
I am Music director S balachandra Raju. I am a regular buyer of LG products. I have 3 LG split AC and 2 LG TV's LG DVD writer, LG fridge. I am using all LG products past 12 years. 18 months back I bought a LG split AC. 30 days from the date of purchase water lea gauge from that AC machine. I complained every week or a month the same problem is not solved yet. LG mechanics are telling some reason for the water lea gauge. They're concentration only on getting AMC. After one year i gave a 2year AMC for 2 LG AC. Till today the problem not solved.

Now past one month no cooling, water lea gauge, water showering like anything.
See if the company manufactured one lack machines may be one or two might be have flaws. so a huge turn over company, - Global company can replace the machine. But in between the service contractors are not willing to do like that. I dont know why. Like me so many consumers are very disappoints consumare care.

Could LG of India Lg of Tamilnadu can do any action on my issue.

LG / Ac - Lwa5aw2dti — Poor Service urgent support required

We purchased an AC (LWA5AW2DTI) one year back on 1-Apr-10. However in the past one year after our repeated requests we have been able to service our AC twice(out of 3 free service). just after our second service, when we started aur AC from last week of Apr'11 we realise the cooling is not appropriate we registered complaint on 3rd May'11 & my complaint id was RNA[protected] after a reminder the executive visited us on 5th May'11, he checked & did some more cleaning & advised to take AMC we got convince & taken the same TCR no-K30772/A/5220, Tin no-[protected] from Ideal services I had paid Rs 1600/- for AMC & Rs 350 for his visit, he confirmed that I will recieve AMC kit in 15 days, but have not recieved yet even after 20days I called up Ideal service quit some time & the response i recieve is this service center is closed or call in evening etc.

We are struggling with AC cooling problem since after 2nd service we even seek advise from our society maintenance guy he confirmed that we need to go for gas filling. I again registered a complained RNA[protected] few days back but no success no one came to attend our complain.

LG brand is most preferable brand at my home all our electronics appliances are LG, but with this experience iam struggling in this summer badly.Last week the service center promised that they would send a executive in 24hrs NO SUCCESS, however on contacting the customer service they had apparently not giving clarity of the status. Wish i had purchased another company ac.

I had Called on Toll Free no About my Led Tv Sound System Probelem in 48 hrs Ur executive came to out house for checking and he told there is a problem in sound and have to installed some pin, but still no one had come to clear that problem in my TV. the indian televison channels are increasing their rates day by day but give poor service. whether its sony ent. television or star plus etc. they donot provide even 50% back of what we give back to them in terms of money. If a serial or movie is being telecast then their will be around 10 ads or more between the starting till the end.
not only advertisements eats time but also the telecast of new filler 'COMING UP'. if its a show of 30 mins then only 10mins will be the part of the serial rest will be ads and COMING UP.

WHEN BUYING THE 3D LCD I ACTUALLY TOOK AN EXTENDED 2 YEAR WARRANTY ON TOP OF THE NORMAL 3YEAR WARRANTY , OUT OF FRUSTRATION, I SERIOUSLY DONT KNOW WHY I BOTHER BUYING ANYMORE LG PRODUCTS AS IT SEEMS THAT THE COMPETITORS PRODUCTS LAST LONGER?

THE REASON IM TYPING THIS COMPLAINT IS THAT I JUST GOT A QUOTE FROM LG CUSTOMER CENTRE IN CENTURION-PRETORIA FOR AN AMOUNT OF R2800.00 TO REPAIR THE HD COMPONENT THAT JUST STOPPED WORKING? THE PROJECTOR WAS HARDLY EVER USED AND COST ME R4500.00 WHEN PURCHASED. HOW THE HELL CAN THEY ASK ME SUCH AN AMOUNT?

I SINCERLEY GIVE UP....IM SO FRUSTRATED AND TO PAY SUCH AN AMOUNT IS BEYOND MY IMAGINATION. IS THERE ANYWAY THAT LG CAN ASSIST ME WITH THIS MATTER IN RESOLVING IT?
