sir, I am Savita Soin of Karnal.I had received message on my mobile number [protected] that i have been won motorola award of 750000 pounds on 13 aug 2009.in message they had given me their mobile number [protected] and email address hello.[protected]@live.com for the claim of money.After that on 14 aug 2009 a person of name Dr.GERY LOPEZ email me in which they send a forum about my personal details like-house address,mobile number,alt mobile number,email address,full name,gender and occupation , annual income and the scan copy of my driving license.On that day i was very much worried.But after one week i send my these personaL details to them.After that i got a mail from them that i am a confirmed winner of the award and i am cleared by british gaming board.After that HE told me for safe delivery of that parcel to my home i have to contact some Elite-fleet courier manager Mr.SPENCER BROWN after that i contact with him.He demand 495 pounds equal Rs39,500.ALSO THEY send me account no of person name Akash kumar whose acc no was [protected] and pan no was b1ypk5135p of syndicate bank .after that they mail me that their diplomats are coming to INDIA with the parcel.On next they they call me that they are stopped at dubai airport because they are not having anti terrorism certificate and it will cost 2850 gbp.and they give me their personnel acc details like acc name of karan motors acc no[protected] of icici bank.DOINBG A TRUST ON THEM I HAD DONE THE PAYMENT OF 1 LAKH RUPEES.After that they message me that your certificate is made and they reached to mumbai airport and after that they demand rs55000.and they send their personnel acc details like acc name-delhi exports garments acc no[protected] pan no aagfd5081q.BUT then i done payment of 25 thousand rupees.After that they DEMANDED RS 5 LAKHS.Then this thing comes to my mind that they are doing any fraud with me and i submit my complaint. These type winning award messages are doing fraud with innocent indian peoples.

Thanks Savita, I have just received the same message on my mobile here in Australia. I thought I'd search the Internet to see exactly what sort of a scam it was. Your message was about the fourth hit in the search list. The numbers and other details match exactly.

These fraudsters need a visit from the police.

i agree, i was sent a message about the money and how i could claim it. at first i thought how i could have won the money when there was absolutely no news about it. i got the message from "Motorola Awards" i think we should help put a stop to this and anyone who has been fooled, tell anyone you know who has gotten the message and tell them it's a fraud.

Ive done exactly the same thing as Geoff, I'm from Australia and I recieved a that same message but didnt remember entering any competition so I googled it. Thanks Savita. What scum these people are, ripping off the unknowing for their own greediness.

i agree, i got the same message two nights ago and on the spot i knew its fraud because there is no easy money in life. how u can win when u did not enter any draw plzzzzzzzzzz next time carefull.

hi savitha mistake is urs coz u have decided to get the money which you havent oweed and u not worked for that either so better be careful next time as a indian u should be familiar with all these frauds in market i recived this message just now i would have sent reply immmedietly as u do but i want to do some search regards this issue so y cant u do next time any how take care and be vigilant

I also received this message in Australia (at 3 in the morning!), same English mobile number provided.

so how do these people get away with this? why cant the police intervene before they get someone else?im from australia and i got this message twice last nite knowing full well i hadnt entered anything.realizing winning 195000 pounds for nothing isnt rite, i googled the award and i found this. thank u for posting as it has helped a great deal to see im not the only one.

I also recieved this txt on my Dubai phone, and googled it because I knew it was ridiculous and I hadn't entered anything with Motorola. Same message from no. +[protected] and told to email and call no. [protected].
Hope noone actually gets sucked in by this scam, can't believe what some people will do to rip of[censored]nsuspecting victims.

Sir, I had purchased a motorola L6i mobile in the last of november 2007. After few it started disturbiing me. I deposited in the service centre, After 2 month and also after making many rounds to the service centre due to delay i got my monile. Than after 2 days it happend new problem than i again submitted it. It also took 15- 20 days time. After 2 week there happend voice problem and light fluctuation in it, Slowly and gradually its warranty get over. This year in the month of july on 20th I deposited my mobile with reparing charges. After that i had contacted many times but i was not getting good response. I am very tired, feded up and mentally disturbed due to it. Today on 6th october i got my mobile but its pronlem has not being removed. ..
I am a student and there is not any earning source for me. My time is very costly. Due to motoro;a i am disturbed a lot. Now please help me. In future i will never buy any motorola mobile ...

Hi I have received the same sms here in South Africa, I went on line to see what the scam is because I've received numeros sms and emails telling me that I can lots of money, most of the scams originate from India or Africa. the phone number and email adresses are the same. Every one please be careful, do not give out any personal details
