[Resolved]  Nokia 3110c — BSNL GPRS settings

hi sir,

i am still not able to get GPRS settings from any of the telecome companies. I have tried through all the telecom companies but the reply was "No settings available for the model".

right now i m using BSNL sim and my NO. is-[protected].
please help me out to get the settings.

i cannot set gprs settings on my phone. each time i tried i always get the message "only 70 set allowed setting discard". i have tried several times but the same message keep repeating. i cannot even set internet settings on it from my service provider. help please.
when i use yahoo, opera mini in my mobile my mobile display a message subscribe to packet data first. how this problem i solved.

I have purched a nokia mobile model no 3110c & product code is 0566963 after 6 month of purches i am facing too much problem regulerly i have two time alredy repaired from ELITE COMMUNICATION NOKIA CARE VARANASI but problem is stiill existing.today i am given the mobile for repair for same problem.

I HAVE COMMITTED THE SAME MISTAKE. I SUBSCRIBED TO BSNL NET CONNECTION…..N I THINK U PEOPLE HAVE DONE THE SAME…N PEOPLE READING THIS MUST BE ALREADY FRUSTRATED BECOZ OF BSNL CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES….JUST CHILL FRNDS I HAVE THE SOLUTION…..N ITS WORKING

ACTUALLY THIS IS MY FIRST WRITE UP IN A BLOG…I USUALLY DON’T DO THIS BUT I HAVE TO WRITE THIS as I WAS STUCKED IN THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY NOKIA 3110 …..



Here Is The Settings And You Can Set It Up Manually:

GO TO MENU
CHOOSE SETTINGS
CHOOSE CONNECTIVITY
GO TO PACKET DATA
GO TO PACKET DATA CONNECTION
CHOOSE - WHEN NEEDED
GO TO PACKET DATA SETTINGS
GO TO ACTIVE ACCESS POINT
CHOOSE THE FIFTH ACCESS POINT(WHICH EVER IT BE WE’LL EDIT IT)
GO TO EDIT ACTIVE ACCESS POINT
GO TO ALIAS FOR ACTIVE POINT
TYPE "BSNL_GPRS"
GO TO PACKET DATA ACCESS POINT
TYPE( in small letters) "gprsnorth.cellone.in" (OTHER REGIONS REPLACE NORTH WITH THEIR REGION)
NOW COME BACK TO ACTIVE ACCESS POINT(NOW U’LL FIND IT RENAMED)
PRESS SELECT AND THEN ACTIVATE ‘BSNL_GPRS’
NOW COME BACK TO SETTINGS
GO TO CONFIGURATION
GO TO DEFAULT CONFIGURATION SETTINGS AND SELECT ‘bsnlwap’
Then SELECT ACTIVATE DEFAULT IN ALL APPLICATIONS
now GO TO PREFERRED ACCESS POINT
SELECT "BSNL INTERNET"
(DON’T DO ANY CHANGE IN PERSONAL CONFIGURATION SETTINGS AS PEOPLE SAY THIS TO DO BUT MINE IS WORKING WITHOUT IT……….SO DON’T GET CONFUSED)

NOW GO TO MENU AND CHOOSE WEB
CHOOSE SETTINGS
THEN CONFIGURATION SETTINGS
YOU WILL FIND IN CONFIGURATION ‘DEFAULT’ OR ‘bsnlwap’ ( if not select it from the list)
AND 'bsnlwap' IN ACCOUNT
(don’t do any changes if its already there..)

NOW TRY TO OPEN GPRS THROUGH ‘0’ KEY
IF ITS WORKING ON UR MOBILE U’LL B ABLE TO OPEN BSNL HOMEPAGE THAN WE CAN MOVE TO PC/LAPTOP SETTINGS
( EVEN U’LL BE ABLE TO OPEN GOOGLE N YAHOO….CHECK THIS TOO)


!!!PC/LAPTOP SETTINGS!!!

I THINK TILL NOW U PEOPLE AFTER HEARING LOTS FROM THOSE (CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES)U MUST BE ABLE TO CREATE A DIAL-UP CONNECTION (FROM NETWORK CONNECTION IN CONTROL PANEL………..Mujhe to By heart ho gaya h ab tak…. :D )

NOW FIRST OF ALL U HAVE TO INSTALL NOKIA PC SUITE…..OK

THEN CHOOSE CONNECT TO THE INTERNET OPTION IN THAT
U’LL SEE NOKIA PC SUITE TRIES TO AUTO CONNECT IT….LET IT BE DONE….THEN IT WILL AS USUAL SHOW...”SUBSCRIBE TO PACKET DATA FIRST” (DON’T GET FRUSTY BUDDY)

NOW BELOW THAT ‘ONETOUCH ACCESS’ WINDOW THERE WILL BE A “CONFIGURE” BUTTON

SELECT IT U’LL FIND “ Nokia 3110 classic modem” select if not selected AND PRESS NEXT

NOW IN THE NEXT WINDOW SELECT “CONFIGURE THE WINDOW MANUALLY”

NOW IN THE ACCESS POINT TYPE “bsnlnet”; IN USERNAME TYPE “mic1” ; IN PASSWORD TYPE “mic1”

LEAVE BLANK THE “Additional intialisation command”

PRESS OK …………NOW TRY TO RECONNECT IT FROM THE “CONNECT” BUTTON NEXT/PREVIOUS TO “CONFIGURE”
WAIT N WATCH BUDDY THIS TIME ITS NOT THE USUAL NIGHTMARE……IT WILL CONNECT

IN ANY CASE IF IT DOESN’T PLEASE VISIT TO UR NEAREST BSNL CUSTOMER CARE OFFICE….

ACTUALLY THESE SETTINGS WERE GIVEN TO ME IN THAT OFFICE ONLY….U HAVE TO MEET IN PERSON IF ITS NOT WORKING………….
(U CAN CALL ME ON nine six zero two zero one two five seven six)

IT IS PATHETIC THAT THE CUSTOMER CARE SUPPORT IS VERY POOR FOR OBTAINING GPRS SETTINGS FOR 3110 MODEL IN PARTICULAR AND FOR ANY MODEL IN GENERAL FROM THE BSNL AUTHORITIES. BUT THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE IN BSNL WHO ARE GOOD ENOUGH TO HELP US OUT ……..
I MUST TELL U PEOPLE ONE IMPORTANT THING…….THAT WHEN NO BODY IN THE WELL EDUCATED EMPLOYEES OF BSNL HELPED ME…….U PEOPLE WILL BE SHOCKED TO KNOW THE PERSON WHO HELPED ME OUT ….IT WAS A PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED ATTENDENT “PAWAN” …WHO SITS IN THE WINDOW OF BSNL AJMER(Rajasthan) office……MAN HE WAS A COMPUTER GENIUS……GREAT WORK MAN……
