[Resolved]  Nokia — Service Centers wrong diagnosis

On 23rd May 2008, my Nokia handset N95 encountered a blank display problem. I immediately went to Nokia Care Center at Mumbai. As communicated by it, the cell was liquid damaged, hence it can’t be repaired under Warranty. It will cost Rs 3500 for the hardware replacement and will take 3 working days. I agreed upon the information given and they mentioned only Rs 350 in the jobsheet for the hardware replacement.



Inspite of repeatedly calling them asking about its status, I didn’t get any satisfactory answer from them. After 6 days, I visited the center on 28th May 2008 and found that the centre is getting renovated and will be closed till 30thMay 2008. Upon requesting the officials present there, I asked the status of my jobsheet and got the response, “since the renovation is going on, it will take 5-6 working days more for the job, we do not have any space available to do work, as you can see and the hardware is also not available with us”.



I took the Nokia mobile back from them after being unsatisfied with the service provided. They also denied giving back the Job Sheet or anything in written to support their provided reasons.

Details of the 1st Center are:

Then, I came to N. Delhi on 3rd June, 2008 and went to another Nokia Care Centre. There, I was told that cell was liquid damaged and they are unable to repair it. It will not come under Warranty also as it is liquid damaged. They charged Rs 112 to create Jobsheet for giving in writing about the status.

Details of the 2nd Center are:

Finally, with all the shattered hopes, the same day I visited 3rd Nokia Care Centre, just for the verification that is my Rs 31, 500 mobile phone is dead within an year of purchase.

Surprisingly, the Centre looked into my concern and took the cell under Warranty with the issue of blank display only. They were unaware of my previous visits to the 2 Nokia Care Centres. Moreover, they didn’t even utter a single word about the liquid damage to the cell.

Finally, on 10th June, 2008, I got my cell back repaired under Warranty, now working perfectly fine. Although, the Center took 7 days for its resolution but it has definitely given life to my dead Nokia N95 handset and to me a reason to smile.

Kudos to the Centre and the Engineers who worked for it. I am highly satisfied with the service carried out by this Centre.

I purchased a NOKIA LUMIA 710, ten days back. But from the very first day i am facing the problems with the mobile.1. screen hangs, 2. sluggish response, and 3. call sensor is not working at all. when contacted with the dealer (Spice Hotspot Retail Shop- D-A-4, Vikas Marg, Shakarpur, New Delhi-110092, ph. no: [protected]), they formatted the ph. and told that the problem has been resolved.but no, and most importantly i have lost all my data.

Again i contacted to the dealer & it was conveyed that there is issue with LUMIA 710 and nokia has accepted it, so the NOKIA CARE people will update the software and the problem will resolve. So i went to the nokia care ( 13, Shankar Vihar, Opp Metro Piller No 72, Vikas Marg, Vikas Marg, Delhi - 110092) and they updated the software of mobile. It took 4 hrs to them to upadate the software. On delivery they told me to sign the jobsheet as they have carried out their job. So i just signed the jobsheet with the remark that "i am not sure with the job done by them sorted out my problem or not".again i lost all my data
Back home i checked my mobile and found that first 2 problems (as i mentioned above), had been sorted out but the third one was still there. Today i went to dealer and also contacted to the Nokia care persons and it was told that they have to update its software again but it didnt help me.
And now they are saying that they have to send the mobile for REPAIRING, to their workshop. and it will take 4 to 5 days.

Now the point is that this is the manufacturing fault from nokia so it is their responsibility to get it replaced with new one.

I am using nokia 5235 since one and half year, I am facing problem with handset some marks inside the touch screen I went two time nokia care they are refuse to repair they are telling this not comes under warranty if you want to repair I have to pay for the replacing of touch screen I am fade up with nokia service. inside the touch screen fungus or some marks it is problem of manufacturing why I am using another touch screen nokia 5230 but it is working fine no problem at all so please I am requesting you to get it repair thanking you.

Nokia India — Degraded Quality of handset

I have purchased Nokia E6-00 (IMIE No. : [protected])on 2nd Feb 2012 from Delhi. With the device there was a leather cover (purse) in the box itself. So, for proper care of the device i was using the same cover. Since i am working in Ahmadabad, Gujarat i came back on 8th Feb 2012. On 9 Feb 2012 i noticed that chrome on the side lines of the phone has started turning black. Next day immediately.i.e. 10th Feb 2012, visited Nokia care, and explained them the problem. The person concerned over there said that it is because of the cover which is too tight, but i did not buy because the cover was provided by the Nokia itself and the if the genuine accessories damages the phone, its their problem not mine and moreover cover should be tight enough so that the phone fits in properly. So, they send the phone to the center for repair. The set was returned on 16th Feb 2012, with changed body or just with repaint i do not know. They also guided not to use that purse again. I did the same and stopped using the purse. Suddenly, on 6th Mar 2012 i noticed the same problem but this time near the ear piece, the region we hold on to our ears while on phone. This disturbs me a lot. Should i also stop talking on phone so that it wont happen again. I do not understand how this can happen twice. Now its pretty clear, material used was degraded and not up to the standards. Today i.e 20th Mar 2012, Nokia did not respond to my problem.

In this regard i want nokia to replace the device.
Nokia is a great Cheat ...We can teach such people a lesson...Garner as many close friends and relatives you have and tell them to buy a Non -Nokia mobile phone from the next time.say LG or Samsung...I was successful in persuading two of such people both of whom bought Samsung instead of Nokia...Dont think that you cannot do any thing...If every one o[censored]s can persuade atleast one of our friends or relatives to purchase non Nokia phone slowly but surely in a year or two it will show the effect...Dont think ki ek hamaray say kya hota hai...Please note each o[censored]s can make a difference just be patient with your objective...
I am Sanjay Kadam from Pune Maharashtra, I purchased Nokia C3-01 on 11/ 07/2011 but on 04 / 04 /2012 it's touchpad is not working I went to Nokia Service Centre Hadapsar Pune Maharashtra. But nighter they prepare job sheet nor they help me They said that touch pad is not available in India when we will get it from company we will give you only one month is left for warranty what can I do. I am planing to launch complaint to Police Station and also in cosumer court.

Nokia — re settings thats wrong

nokia call centre doing the wrong things waisting my time to reste my phone wipe all my details all i require is removing whata app on my phone block all my data
i cant load whats app due to previous load that went missing asked call centre to remove it off my phone she went and removed all my data, ringtones and stuff but not the thing i asked her, m lourens[protected], what there problem, all they want is rate is ????? for what nokia will call me and help me reset whats app on there expenses

I PURCHASE NOKIA X3-02 LAST YEAR. THERE WAS SOME TOUCH PROBLEM WITH THE PHONE. THE FIRST TIME THEY RESOLVE IT SAYING THAT IT WAS SOFTWARE PROBLEM. THE SECOND TIME I GOT THE SAME TOUCH PROBLEM AGAIN WHEN I WENT TO NOKIA CARE THEY SAID THAT SOME LIQUID HAS ENTER THE PHONE SO THE TOUCH IS NOT WORKING AND THEY SAID THAT LIQUID DAMAGE IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. OK. WHATEVER IT IS REPAIR IT AND I WILL PAY THE CHARGES. THE NEXT DAY WHEN I WENT TO COLLECT THE PHONE THEY SAID ITS NOT THE TOUCH. ITS THE BOARD PROBLEM, OK. WHATEVER IT IS I REPAIR IT AND I WILL PAY THE CHARGES. AND THEY SAID THAT THEY CANNOT REPAIR IT. THEY WILL HAVE TO SEND IT TO THE COMPANY. OK FINE, SEND IT AT MY EXPENSES. ONCE AGAIN THEY SAID THE COMPANY WILL NOT ACCEPT IT SO THEY REFUSE TO SEND. SO I CALL UP NOKIA CUSTOMER HELP LINE TALK TO MR. SANJEEV KUMAR. TO MY SURPRISE HE TOLD ME THAT THE COST OF REPAIR WILL BE MORE THEN THE PRICE OF THE A NEW X3. I FIND IT VERY FUNNY. WHEN ALL THE OTHER FEATURES OF THE PHONE ARE WORKING EXCEPT TOUCH. HOW WILL THAT BE POSSIBLE. IF NOKIA CANNOT REPAIR THEIR OWN PRODUCT WHO'S GONNA REPAIR?? I HAVE USE THE PHONE PROPERLY FOR AROUND SIX MONTHS ONLY. IS NOKIA PRODUCT A USE AND THROW PRODUCT? I WAS PRODUCT OF NOKIA UNTIL I FACE THIS PROBLEM.

Dear i purchases Nokia N8 model last 18 months back it was running normally till april month in that month suddenly i saw Disc Error messege on it after wards its mass memory didnt show due to this i have to lost my some important memories stored in gallery after wards its not working properly frequently hanging badly and not getting swiched off easily i have remove battery for this every time some times if any call comes from outside it rings countinously till mobile switch off.I m not getting how to solve this regarding this i went to your Nokia Care Center but they told me that this handset should send delhi for repairing & it will cost around Rs.10000/- by hearing this i took my phone back as hw one can afford such huge amount for repairing purpose please help us in this regards as i really want to start my phone back as its a very good handset compare to i phone4.
