I purchased a Nokia 6708 1year back from a showroom in Bangalore . I t never worked properly, neither they replaced

I'm pasting you the mail which i wrote to customer case : 9 months back.

Ruthless Customer Service & Faulty High-end Mobiles Sets


I have been facing problems with my Nokia 6708, which I bought close 20 thousand. I have given the phone for 4 times to the service station, my problem are never resolved, even they are increasing day be day. The Problem Started from day one it had some outgoing problems and major problems are related to software. I was using the high end phone first time so I thought, I have low knowledge about this phone, that’s why I’m not able use it properly. But when I started all the features of the phone, for me most of the things were not working.



Problems I was facing when I bought the phone.

-Outgoing problems
-Internet connectivity
-Battery Dies away in one day thought I was a bellow average user of the phone
-Although camera in the phone is 1.2 pixel which should be enough to get good picture, it give very dark picture, so no use of that.
-I was not able to change the tunes because of software problems
-, NO Backup Facility Provided on High-end phone
- Service Station in places use to take 15 days fro servicing the phone and never use to provide the backup phone for the use.


I think, what they do in service is to install the service.

Problems I was facing in now.


In addition to the problems:

Now I‘m facing ON -0FF incoming and outgoing. but major problem is incoming as I cannot receive the calls and as this phone I’m using for the personal, business purpose and for my Job. All the people have complain that your phone is most of the times is disconnected mode.

-Since backup doesn’t work, I Every time have to copy my number on the paper and ever time I loose all the message and data in notepad, ppt’s and word.
-I should have an extra Mobile set if I cannot depend on this phone. For that matter I have purchased which costed me close to Rs 3000.


Customer Services

 They hang up during the call, when ever they want
 Cannot resolve the issues, called them 50-60 times for the back up & internet issues.
 To toll free number is there for the customer services, I wasted more then Rs 1000 on phone calls and speaking the customer services.
 It’s a closed end services, I cannot talk to the customer service representative, If I want to talk to manager I cannot, I camnoot even get the email addres of ant manager to discuss the case.
 They don’t note down the call notes and they don’t provide reference number of the call, so every time I call, I have to explain the same thing to them which causes waste of my time & money. They only give case number 48 hours after you deposit the sets in Service sentre.
 4 times I have deposited the set and don’t believe in them that they will fix it, So I don’t want to collect


I don't know what can be done about this. I have similar experience when my wife bought a high end phone. Service took 2 months.

I purchased Nokia N72 from "NOKIA PRIORITY-Authorised dealer of Nokia" in the mid of April.
The problem is with charging of phone from the beginning only.
It takes 4-5 hours to charge and also it is consumed very fast.
It's also not that the problem is with the battery or the charger because i have already replaced both long back. After that i had also given it for servicing for the same. But still there has not been any improvement in it.
Also the functioning of the handset is very slow compared to other mobiles.
Also when i press *#06# on my cell the-international mobile equipment identity number appears as [protected]. And you can see the 7th and 8th digits are 02 which means my cell phone was assembled in Emirates which is very Bad quality.

Now i am totally fade up with the phone as well as poor service of Nokia and so i want a new replacement of my handset because now that's the last option left. I can't bear it anymore. Please. please help me out...

With due respect I want to inform you that i have given my Nokia handset to your Nokia service centre sector-7, Panchkula, Haryana for repairing one month ago which I have not received it yet. My job sheet no is[protected]/080821/5 Whenever I visit the centre for it they just tell one week more. But according to your SMS/website center my mobile was repaired & dispatch on 7th September 2008. But still i don't get my mobile.

so I request you to kindly take action against that care centre & provide me my mobile.

I have given my mobile nokia-5310 for Audio, No Outgoing Audio problem to nokia care center Ahmedabad - M/s Cell Service on 2nd August. Job no.:[protected]/080802/22 my mobile number - [protected]. Till today 23rd September there is reply of you will get mobile (Handset) before 6th October.

Estimated due - 31st August. How we can work without our mobile... They had not given me loanable phone. I have called them at least 20 -25 times and vistied 3-4 times personaly, they always told me you will get within 4-5 days. And when we press them they give us call center number 30303838 for complaint booked. I already complain in the Nokia Care -My complain number 2-3D1T73 they are also very delay time.

Above 1 month for replacement??? These is service of nokia -- and these problem is with all people using these Nokia mobile.

They are aware of these problem than to they don't keep spare parts. In these case what service we expect from these multinational company where there is no boss??

I am also attaching the mails which I sent to Samvaradhi Nokia Care for which I did not get any response till date from the date I gave my cell for replacement.I even did not get any call from Service Centre Informing the status of the request.


When I called Technical Support Executives on 30303838 yesterday, A complaint was taken by kiran patna with Nokia care compliant number : 2-3C4MEL.Also Kiran said they will update me the status in 48 hours.


After this I got a call from Service Centre saying that they will give me the update by today (12-Sep-2008) by 11:00 am, Again they did not call me up.

I called them at 4pm then they said they will call me in 1/2 hour .

they called me back and again informed that they will give my cell phone by next Thursday(18th-Sep-2008).

First of all I don't understand why it will take more than 45 days for replacement, and also when I ask service centre reason for delay they are not responding properly.

Please tell me what I need to do if they fail to give my cell phone by 18th-sep-2008.

I am asking this question because when I gave my cell phone on 31st-Aug-2008 they said they will tell the problem in 7-10 days.

when I went after 10 days they said it's a hardware problem (which I was telling from the beginning) and will replace the cell by 8-sep-2008.

I went back, they asked to come again on 15-sep-2008, when I went again, they again said on 25-08-08 again I went they said on 4th-Sep-2008.

When I went on 4th and asked they again to come on 6th-sep-2008 .I was very frustrated by this situation .


I always had a great respect for NOKIA but now I am started loosing faith, but still I felt That I should give a chance before I proceed in any other way

and Technical Support Executives on 30303838 yesterday.


I am happy for the response you showed but I will be happy only once the issue gets resolved.


I am very disappointed by the Nokia Service Centres and I really feel that you will take this issue as higher priority and take proper action.

I have nokia N95, it starts like this, i was on my way to Ahmednagar from Delhi on Goa express on 13Aug. on my way battery got discharged, on reaching to Ahmed nagar (near Pune) when i put it on charging it was not getting charged,
So i took it to Ahmed nagar Nokia care centre to fix the problem.
There they diagnosed it and said its a battery problem and your cell is ok, since i was on my vacations i was not carrying my cell bill to get it replaced.
When i came to Noida i showed it at nokia care centre (A-78, sector 2, Noida) and told them about the whole problem they simply took my battery with a photocopy of bill for replacing the battery, after two weeks when i got my battery, i put it on charging it again showed the same problem.
Then they again diagnosed it once again and said its a water logging problem and it will cost you around 1000 INR.
As i agreed they kept the cell with them, now after two weeks i:e on 18th Sep they returned me the cell and said me that its not repairable.
i asked for the solution the lady at the delivery counter "sir it will be better that you show it to some one out side they will fix it with jumper" I was shocked that if a local person can fix why cant you...
when i looked at my cell it was badly scratched on front panel, i complained about it and also asked them to switch it on to check whether it was working or not.
The man MR. Nishu he took it inside, after some time he came back and told me that we don’t have panel go get it replaced on Monday, when i asked him did you switched it on to check he said "Yes its working fine". I came back home and switched it on, i was amazed to say its display had lost its brightness all i could see a dark screen and its 5mp camera was not displaying any focused objects.

All this had put doubts on the diagnoses of your people at nokia care centre, why should I believe that it’s a water logging problem when other centre at Ahmednagar is saying that you cell is not a problem.

This is the storey from 13 th Aug 2008 till Sep 18 2008 now i want to know what action shall i take to get my cell repaired without much hassles and is less time.

This is with regret i have to inform you that my set has developed problems the day it was purchased from, it first developed problems with the keys nad was not able to use the navigation keys as well as the number keys, took it to nokia care they fixed the problem and said it would not occur again., now this is the third time it developed a snag in the camera and the image fades when the flash is ON now they have kept it with them to rectify that.The demo games are also not working and is giving problems there in.
I am sure that a faulty set has been given to me and i have lost the trust in the current handset. I HAVE PURCHASED A NOKIA 6275 CDMA MOBILE IN MARCH 2008 FROM SPACE ELECTRONICS, SARDARPURA, JODHPUR. THIS MOBILE IS NOT WORKING SINCE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST. I CONTACTED SPACE ELECTRONICS; THEY SAID CONTACT NOKIA SERVICE CENTRE AS OUR WORK IS ONLY TO SELL NOKIA, AFTER-SALES SERVICE WILL BE PROVIDED BY NOKIA CUSTOMER CARE. NOKIA CUSTOMER CARE SAID IT WOULD TAKE 25 DAYS TO GET THIS MOBILE REPAIRED. I GAVE THE MOBILE TO THEM ON 08-AUG-2008, BUT ITS MORE THAN ONE AND HALF MONTHS NOW, THEY HAVEN'T REPAIRED MY SET NOR THEY ARE REPLACING IT. THEY ARE NOT EVEN TELLING ANY REASON FOR IT, JUST GIVING EXCUSES. BECAUSE OF THIS I'M SUFFERING IN MY BUSINESS AS I HAVE LOST ALL MY PHONEBOOK.
