[Resolved]  Nokia Customer Care Of India — Pathetic service of Nokia Customer Care of India

Hello Friends,

I am happy that such portals exist for expressing your views on a product/ service.

I had purchased a Nokia phone 2255 a year back. It never gave me any problems till 12 month of the purchase. But in th e12th Month, it developed a serious automatic on off problem, the flap phone was not functionnong.

I decided to take the same to a customer care center in my area, was surprised to know that there was only one in Andheri for CDMA handsets. I was made to wait for 2 hrs. They opened my phone turned a few screws here and there and then said that its a level 2 problem and they cant touch the same,I would have to go to peninsula customer care repair center to repair the same.
when my turn came,was promptly instructed that the phone is out of warenty period and that they would charge me 1000 rs to touch the phone and 3000 to repair the same.
I called the customer care number and informed them of the issue, the lady told me that there is a 20 days extended warenty by default. Even though the same was communicated to the repair guy at the center, he did not address my complaint.

Since, I had purchased my phone from an authoirised Nokia priority dealer, yet was given a shabby treatment. I did feel cheated that for a factory defect., a consumer had to pay for the pain and undergo a agony .

My community has decided not to buy NOKIA products in future. So be carefull of buying them. I am not saying all this to discourage you form buying, but bring to your notice the pathetic service which may be in store for you also.
I have switched to a different brand and found the service nuch better and professional and customer friednly.

i purchase a Nokia e 71 on 21/8/2008, how i can activate the sensor light, iam not finding sensor light blinking.
Nokia service is really pathetic. They are not interested in fixing problems and they expect people to buy a new phone periodically. The only thing their service center does is to reload SW, if it fixes the problem good luck else buy a new phone. We should boycott such companes.

Nokia as a company is absolutely arrogant and does not care for the customer at all. They sell high end phones which do not perform and they refuse to take responsibility for that non-performance.

I have had a very bad experience with them and am taking them to Consumer Court.

Does any body know about a consumer forum where people harassed by these high handed companies specially Nokia, get together to raise their voice against them?
I wholeheartedly agree with your observation. Thanks for showing the way. I too would warn more and more of my aquaintances against buying any Nokia handset.
Yes I fully agree with the complaint. I purchased a hand set of Nokia 5310 just one year back. Now It started giving problem. Microphone is not working. I visited Nokia care at JP road, where they are charing Rs 2850/- for repair which is exorbitant and it seems it is an authorised looting from the people. Please think twice before buying Nokia hand set.
its true similar problem i fase still no outcome of complaints found, they do not have trained technision for finding the fault.

i purchased a handset of nokia-1202 two month ago.
But some problems occoured in my handset that the Battery not proper running.
if i Charged my battery at 10.00 am, next day at the same time it go switched off. ( making of call, receiving of call its not a issue.)
The other problems are about my nokia-1200 handset that OUT GOING VOICE is not hearing to on line person.

Please suggest me for my battery long life. this will be ur kind

I, Dolly Thakkar, daughter of Mr. Kannu thakkar am hereby sending you this humble request for my phone error, unsolved from your side.

On 9th December, 2008, with lots of faith in Nokia, we being your old sincere consumers purchased a N79 for Rs.20, 000 from a Nokia dealer store in Ghatkopar with lots of hope and excitement with the many new features you'll provide your customers.

But my excitement and happiness was short lived as in five months o[censored]sing it, never mishandling it or not even overloading its memory card, it started HANGING.

I needed to restart it almost 15-17 times in a day to use it for basic purpose of making a call or seeking a contact number.
I, being a Doctor by profession, am fully dependent on my phone for getting details of my patients while I am out or when I am needed to attend Emergiencies anytime.

On 25th May 2009, , in 2 days of facing the same problem, I went to get it repaired at Nokia Care, Today Telecom-9/10 Padmavati Darshan, Opp Deepak Cinema, N.M.Joshi Marg, Mumbai-400013. I ahd been told the problem shall be solved in half an hourbut I had to wait there for almost 3 hours after which I was told that the repairing needed a higher center at DELHI and the process shall take 2 Days. JOB SHEET NUMBER GIVEN THEN WAS:[protected]/090525/68 on the name of Mr. Kannu Thakkar, my father and contact n0. [protected].

After constant follow ups & no signs of concern from your side of informing of how long would the process take or the where abouts... Finally the phone was handed off stating that the problem was solved.. On 3rd June, 2009 atfer a span of 10 LONG DAYS. But to my horror .. within 5mins o[censored]sing the phone, it began hanging again, thus showing that the problem wasnt even seen by you'll, forget solving it ...

I re-called & I was told that since it had been repaired sorting it off would now be a matter of just few minutes..I had to go to the centre once again.Now, I was told that the memory card was corrupted. I willingly got that too formatted...On checking the phone, the problem yet persisted and now I had to hear the same excuse as earlier that the phone needed a higher center at DELHI & the process would take 15 DAYS for it, the JOB SHEET NUMBER BEING:[protected]/090604/89 on the name of Dolly Thakkar with a verdict that I shall be returned it on 20th June, 2009.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN ME WHAT EXACTLY HAS BEEN HAPPENING AT YOUR CENTRE. i AM GIVEN THE SAME EXCUSE OF IT NEEDING A HIGHER CENTER AND THAT TOO AFTER KEEPING IT FOR 10 DAYS ; WHICH ONLY INDICATES A LAYMAN TOO THAT IT HAD BEEN KEPT UNSEEN, UNTOUCHED & UNSOLVED FOR THIS LONG AND RETURNED LATER WITH A WHITE LIE OF BEING REPAIRED. WHO GUARANTEES ME THAT THIS TIME I AM NOT GOING TO BE FOOLED AGAIN AND THAT ITS REALLY GOING TO BE SENT AT DELHI AND THAT SOME ENGINEER IS REALLY FIX IT UP???????????

I am Sorry to make this complaint but one grumbles only when there is a breech in the trusted relation.

Kindly look in to the matter & do the needful.

NOKIA 5310 — waste customer care and service centre

dont go for nokia mobiles, they will not give proper customer care and service i taken nokia 5310 useless mobile not att all working properly

I also faced the same problem with Nokia N73 invested 14000 on this ..I went to nokia care and they said that water clogging and physical damage does not come under waranty period and they need 1000 for looking into it...very pathetic reponse towards such a huge brand and people using the brand name to their advantage and making money...paying the least heed to the customers

I have handed over my mobile to one of your service centres named Aryans Communication, Jaiswal Complex, 6B Park Road, Lucknow on 11th July, 2009 (Job sheet No.[protected]/090711/24). On 13th July I was informed that the estimate was of Rs. 250. I gave my consent to fix the problem. Despite my repeated requests the set was not repaired till 16th evening. On my enquiry I was informed that the set may get repaired by 20th. I requested the person on phone to return my set as I was not satisfied with the efficiency of the service centre.I immediately collected the phone and gave it to the mechanic at a shop for repairing and within 3 minutes it was repaired in Rs. 150. The Authorities are requested to look into the efficiency of their service centre.
