Self a resident of eight - storeyed building at new town kolkata-156, having a duplex lift of your concern facing enormous problem using the lift.
A. While one person from topper floor press button, the lift car cannot stop anywhere in between though another person press button for upward/downward use, but another lift car (If in rest) attend the 2nd person.
My query is what technology it adapted? Is it higher technology or degraded technology?
I think it violates the ethics of lift facility.
Totally misuse of power and valuable time.
It should be revised to get free access in our premises.

Our Society Engineers Coop Group Housing Society had 4 Elevators Installed in the year 1992. Due to frequent break down as as advised by OTIS we installed two new lifts. These were commissioned on 1st Sept-2015. In last one week the lift of A2 block broke down thrice. It is possible that there can be problem initially. But the compliant given to OTIS is not being attended by the staff on duty.
The compliant was given at 4pm on 7th Aug-15. After continuous follow up the Mechanics came at 11Pm and worked for two hrs but could not rectify the defects. The staff who came to attend never informed to their superiors that they could not do the work. The compliant remained unattended till writing this i.e 12.15 PM. I talk to Mr R S Tiwari at 12 and inform about the problem.
It is for the information that due to poor service and casual approach by OTIS we have to face problems from the Residents who have paid for the New lifts. It is requested to take action against the Staff who failed to attend our complaint and inform to us.

They have not brought the Otis elevator material till now. My name is Mahindra Reddy C V, and not brought the material for my site which is situated in 4/2, 1st Main Road, S. G. Palya, D R C Post, Bangalore - 560029. This elevator was booked long back and the check was given to Sontosh and Surendra. Who have left the job. Then it was handed over to Padmanab they don't respond properly. Then this was handed over to Kiran. Who have received the check by sending the concerned person to my site address. After the check collection on September 6th 2014 they told that they will send the elevator material by 3 weeks and till now i.e. they have crossed 2 months till now they have not brought the material to my site. I spoke to Susain Marcus. The have stopped picking the phone nor responding to my number i.e., the reason I am releaving the things happened. I don't know still how many days they will play this game and if this continue then Otis will lose many customers. I want the material what is the game played by Susain Marcus and Kiran I can't undersand. Again the told they will give the material by 3th of November 2014 again they din't receive the call nor brought the material. I have paid 900000 of 1000000 contract. Why they are delaying my elevator project. They don't even keep up their words. d

This is in regard to otis lift having contract no. 52ns1164.
This lift was installed our premises in march 2014.
We did face a problem from the very beginning with the lift, we had to reset the mcb every time power was restored after a power cut.
We did complain of the same as and when it happened.
Our lift is out of order since friday 6th june 2014.
We did make a call on friday only.
Executives saturday morning and told us the issue was due to voltage fluctuation.
We contacted bses for the same, and it was coordinated between the two then and there and turned out to be no voltage issue.
Its been 5 days otis service men visit for the same, we personally asked them if they still want we can get a voltage stabiliser installed.
We haven't got any solution yet, otis service men come up with a new conclusion every day.
In today's morning visit, they figured it out their is a battery issue. Which they plan to resolve tomorrow

Its become extremely frustrating for us, as it is indefinitely getting postponed.
The only reason for taking otis was quality and service which is turning out to be pathetic.

My name is Chandrashekar Sethuraman from Hyderabad. Even though I have raised a complaint on Feb, 10, 2014 for not following proper procedure/ safety measures, but allowed the elevator which is not even completely installed, Mr. Srinivas (DGM, Hyderabad)from OTIS - has been ignoring my complaint stating that they have followed the safety steps.

It is so shocking to know that the Installation happened on Feb. 9, 2014 (Sunday) in the late evening (I am also surprised to know as to how come the technicians and other staff from OTIS worked on a Sunday and that too late through the evening/ night), and allowed to one of the owners and their friends and family (even there was a handicapped person in their family) from 5:00 AM of Monday Feb. 10, 2014.

I was actually told that it would take 2-3 days of testing/ trail before OTIS can give a GREEN signal to even test it by passengers but here is a case where the passengers were allowed to use it without even testing it. The sad part is that there was no one from the OTIS or from the Builder side when the elevator was operated on Monday Feb. 10, 2014.

This apt complex is just about 60% complete only and likely to be completed only end of this year or so. So how come OTIS, Hyderabad headed by Mr. Srinivas has given the permission to the builder, who in turn accepted the request from the owner to operate the elevator by themselves.

Every two days we rang to your maintenance persons. when they came and do some work its OK and the next two days it works after it go for another strike.From the first day this lift is not working properly and we are giving regular complaint's for the same. After having picked the most expensive of the AMC contracts available at OTIS, we, as a customer, were under the impression that all that needed to be done to have smooth operations was done.
There are 7 elevators of OTIS make installed at our site-which is a corporate House of one of the major Leading Financial groups in India
the current state is so pathetic that we feel humiliated in front of our clients every time they need to use the elevators.
petty issues like faulty call buttons and hall landers are left pending for more than 8 to 9 months.
when the service team was approached for resolution of the problem they claimed non availability of spares-non availability of call buttons !!! if a company can not manage to have a ready supply of spares as small as call buttons what can be expected of them?
It's about time OTIS pulled their socks and at least made an attempt to prove their professionalism-

I have hotel laavish, i order a new automatic elevetor feb'2011 with full payment, they (Mr. L. N. Pandey) say that your order will be fulfill 28 may2011, but after 28 may not any one parts reached in my hotel. When we call otis, head office, kolkata, they (Mr. Vikram mukopadhay) say that some problem it will be reached 28 june 2011, but after 28 june, nothing reached, we are start new hotel but every month we extends our new hotel opening, this is very very bad service by otis company. The md of otis company, kolkata say that your lift reaced on 27 july but today 28 july otis not start my lift,

Two elevators installed by OTIS at SAI LEELA PALACE. When after installation the OTIS representatives removed the PROTECTIVE FILM from doors and panels rust and scratches were found and a small hole at one point.
Various complanits by way of telephones and in writing are sent but no action has been take.
On telephone Otis has been telling us give us 8 days/give us 10 days. Almost 4 months have passed without the needfull.

New otis lifts 2 in number supplied to sai leela palace by otis bangalore.
On removing the film from doors and other panels, scratches at certain points and rust marks are noticed but no action iseing taken by the company inspite of complaints.

Required forms etc have been deposited after my retirement by my employer to pf authorities at their Vashi office during Nov '10. I have receipt for the same. Till date the final settlement has not been done in spite of my repeated follow up. Always a standard reply saying that computerisation is going on which will take further 15-20 days.Request for immediate settlement.

Our elevators are being serviced by Otis for many years and they have a comprehensive contract for this. However, inspite of repeated phone calls and written complaints, the lifts in our building are not maintained properly. They are not working properly for days on end - and calling the OTIS helpline does not help at all !

We are living in a building in Riyadh KSA composed of 4 stories and 15 appartments.
Since 3 monthes we are suffering from the maintenance of otis in Riyadh.The elevtor stopped working 3 monthes ago and our building office complained to otis office who sent a team . The team decided that the engine needs repair. after about ten days they fixed the engine and the elevator worked for about 3 days then stopped again. The team came again and decided the need of some spare parts . The money for that spare part has been paid but up till the moment the elevator did not work. Daily we are complaining but no one listen to us.We are really suffering . My son is handicaped ( CEREBRAL PALSY ) 16 years old I have to carry him three stories down and up again for treatment also his oxygen cylinder and requirements. Some os the residents are senile and sick and without elevator thier sickness and suffering increases.
Sir, please do all your best to help us solving this problem as Riyadh office are not responding to our compliants, Also please choose staff who can save tne name of Otis elevator not destroy it.

If anyone is planning to install OTIS lift then please refer the case of OTIS lift installed in JAIPURIA SUNRISE GREENS, INDIRAPURAM, GHAZIABAD.
OTIS lift is installed there but that is use less every second day lift got stuck, it makes noise during the run.
Moreover one day it jumps the 6th floor and directly comes to the 5th floor without any stop at 6th floor, ie lift can directly comes to ground floor from 17th floor.
OTIS maintenance staff is very poor both technically and support wise.

I would suggest please don't go with OTIS as this third grade company. I have convinced so many people who were planning to install OTIS lift.

Dear sir,

We have been provided with an otis lift (6 persons) at 17 storied building by our builder / society. There is an annual maintenance contract with the company. Since the start of lift there are always some problems in lift. Sometimes lift stops in between, sometimes it makes noise. Otis technical staff is not technically sound, they do the repairing of lift but again after sometime it fails.

Complaint: entry door at the ground floor makes noise during sliding.
