[Resolved]  Reader's Digest — Renewal of Suscription + 3 gifts

Dear Sir,

I have applied for renewal of my subscription through the offer made by Reader's Digest in december, 2008, Through their offer at 42% discount by paying Rs.379/- only (THE CHEQUE WAS DRAWN FROM MY SON'S ACCOUNT -PRADEEP KUMAR JAIN).I have twice called at their office on 5th of this month (Feb, 2009)at NOIDA, they promised to reply within 72 hours but it is almost 14 days passed and since than i have received no reply at all. This is the example of their poor service. Is paying in advance results like this?.

I also ordered Readers Digest plus a gift subscription. I have been a faithful customer for years . I also have not received any 3 free gifts. The only things I get extra are renewal offers before they are due & late notices when none are due.
As a long time subscriber of ReadersDigest I agree with all the above complaints. You owe an explaination to your costomers & then take action to restore our faith in Readers Digest!

I agree with most of the above complaints. The web address is a hoax. There are no free gifts at this site.

How do I get my 3 free gifts? Went to the site given on your card but all I saw were very valid complaints from other disgruntled customers. I am not renewing unless I get satisfaction. Bad ploy RD!!!

I feel strongly about these complaints, I also would like to add to the list of angry names, you really should be ashamed to pull such a scm on the people who like your readers magazine, Now tell me what are the 3 free gifts that you are not giving to all these people answer needed.
I have the same complaint on a couple issues one the free gifts and they sent me books I did not order then billed me . not fair, I have been with you people for a long time and even order two others your mag . so don't go crazy on us now .

I have been a subscriber for many years but this is the first time I have had an internet connection. I wanted to see what the gifts were and if I needed or wanted them. According to a complaint already filed the gifts are not really free there is a charge for shipping and handling that outweighs the actual cost of the gifts. I always thought ofo RD as a quality investment. Time to rethink! I am disappointed.
I also have been taking Readers Digest for years and I am sorry to hear that this offer is a dud!
I think I will take a closer look at Readers Digest Public Relations to see how they respone to their customers.
I THINK READERSDIGEST SHOULD STOP SENDING THE STUPID CARDS OUT WHY DONT WE ALL JUST NOT RENEW OUR MAGAZINE, THAT WILL SHOW THEM WE MEAN BUSNESS.
why do you continou to send the free books and then ask for payment when infact i have mentioned many times that i do not care for them? I think that the 3 gifts (FREE) is a way to get subscribers confussed.
Every issue comes with the "3 Free Gifts" card w/instructions to claim them today @ www.readersdigest.com/3gifts. Nothing happens! Fix the problem or toss the cardS

I have to agree with Rhonda S Cutler; how do I get my 3 free gifts? I did receive the card in the mail also. So how do I get them? So know I am trying to add in my comment and I keep getting a message .confirm code is incorrect or too old. I know I tried it 5 or more times and they would not send this comment through! That is stupid!!!
