                    Dear sir,
This is to whom read book throughout the world.one of the best book in the world is reder's digest. this book is most popular and lovable on all over the world. great people and scientist could read this book. i'm sorry to blame this publishing administrator and the mistake is at present the publishing corporation faced too much of losses in India due to the Living media India Ltd. (India today group of companies) their magazines are good to read. because of the only reason Living media India ltd. why the reder's digest faces such a loss. before two to three years in Tamil Nadu Dhinakaran magazine I saw a matter after that i came to know that the owner of this book is an American. with the help of their president they got sponsor and they lifted up a little bit but in India the executives of the Living Media India ltd.have misused their sponsor and the reason is the reder's digest subscriber holders in India have received a letter that they are prize winners. by using this they diverted the holders to loss their thought to read book and set as a prizing one. this is a major mistake what is reason for this mistake. great people only reading this book in India such as doctors collectors etc., because of this prize motive none of them is now reading this book and I know this very well. Please reader of this precious Reder's digest don't consider the prize letters and their offers from the publisher because each and every person have their own duty to do this prize is not as important than our work in my friends circle six members have mental stress due to this prize announcement. i need to know that what this Living media can earn through this and what their motive in this. are they doing to show a false budget to the sponsors. their letters can be profitable only for the postal department. on the same side readers mentality has been disturbed to a great extent. i have to know profit for postal department is more important than the reader. take a servey in and you could come to that they have shamed to world wide language English. what is the punishment for this and why are making of English its not only in India this is throughout the world I'm telling to stop this prize awards you can offer your prizes to those who get your book regularly. why are you giving torches to all people me too a person among the one affected by your prize announcement. For eg., I'm one of the subscriber holder till 2007 they cheated me too by this prize awards by saying that I'm a winner of Innova car in the year[protected] and called me to a function but i can't there at that time so that they gave my prize to another person. but till now they are not giving any detail about that at the time I was complaining through facebook and e-mail I have received a mail from Ms.Michelle Obama that she is recommending me for that prize and this happens before five months but they(Reder's digest India) didn't consider her appeal regarding my prize. but in that particular year i have purchased a product worth INR 5, 00, 000/- if any one who have purchased your product than me I could withdraw my complaint if they prove that. if that not possible ask the executive members to resign their(Reder's digest India) job and the reason is that making a fake prize. whom ever read this please recommend them to give me my prize of innova car and cash prize amount. if you show silence to my letter they could not show any response on my appeal.they have the capability to change the mind of knowledge people in this world.

Hi, I've taken subscription of RD in 1st week of Sep'13. My first issues I've received on 16th of Sep and didn't get it in Oct month. 2 times I send my complaint to customer care official Id but there was no feedback and they were saying this issue was concern to Living India (having distribution rights). The same mail forwarded to Living media but there was no feedback. subscription.[protected]@intoday.com (Living Media) & [protected]@rdasia.co.in )Readers Digest) 3-4 times I called up on their CC care contact no. and get the courier tracking no which was send by RD on 14th as per CC executive. When I traced that no, I have found it was couriered on 21st and still in transit (Today 28th). A courier is taking 8 days to dispatch from Noida to Gurgaon. I don't know why Reader's Digest cheating to their customers. A customer is paying for services but he is getting only ex excuses. Request to everybody to avoid RD's subscription. Thanks! Hi

It is very surprising that a brand like Readers Digest can afford to avoid customer complains posted through such a forum.

Its really disappointing as i expected a reply from then long time back.

Please intervene in this matter urgently

                            Hi,

I had subscribed to the Reader’s Digest magazine on May 3, 2013. I had done the payment through net banking and had also changed my mailing address at that time. I have also received an acknowledgement from the RD team about the successful payment and subscription (Please see the following email). Here’re the details:

However, today afternoon I received a parcel through VPP and was asked to pay Rs. 577. I was not at home at that time and my mother has taken the VPP and paid the money. I want to know why did you send a duplicate subscription through VPP? When my net banking payment was confirmed, what was the need to request another payment through VPP? My mother did not know what to do and therefore, paid the money to the postman.

I spoke to the customer care and the agent told me it is going to take 4 to 6 weeks to refund the money. Why should it take such a long time? Why can’t the RD team call the postman or the concerned person and refund my money back. If this is a mistake, then I must say it is a very “planned” mistake. Is it some kind of a gimmick to get money or get the subscription for two years?

I want the full money refunded to me in a week and if that is not done, then I am sorry to say that I will have to cancel my subscription forever and will never subscribe the magazine again. I am very disappointed with this. I have been a very avid reader of your magazines and have always recommended this magazine to others. But this issue has really planted doubts about the ethics and principles followed by the RD team.
I hope this issue will be taken very seriously.

I have mailed them twice but have not heard from them at all.

                            Thanks,
                            Kaveri

                            Reader's Digest — Duplication

Today my house people, in my absence, cleared a VPP parccel for Rs.398/- contg 3 free books towards my fresh subscription for RD. The very same free books came to me a few days ago and a cheque payment has been made to you. as subscription for RD.

As a matter of fact, your subscription notices had come to me twice, on 15th June and again on 30th June, and while I replied 'yes' to the former notice, I returned the 30th June notice back to you stating that it was duplication of the same notice,

And now, overlooking the above, you have sent me the same free books twice and received payment twice. If I were at home today, the second delivery of the same books would not have taken place.

Please email me as to what I should do with the same books. Since you have an office in Chennai, who are near my residence, please ask them to hand me over a cheque for Rs.398/- and take back your parcel.

                            The parcel details are :

Frankly speaking Readers Digest content in different segment proves to be worth and food for thought for Readers of different class. What is annoying is the way you market your magazines by announcing bogus prize award and promotional offerings which is a sure way for you to get subscription for selling your additional books/magazines promoted from time to time. Also, the way you conduct business i.e, failure of confirming the nonsubscription results in newal of those newly introduced magazines campaign.Very nice strategy I will also try to include in my business.

Of course, this is the way you conduct your business and no body denies and I am not interested in indulging such activity.

No reply is required for this. As an individual you will understand the core of your business which i am not suitable with.

Please save people like me from this kind of fraudelent sweepstake and reader's digest email

                                        Address: Howrah, West Bengal

I had been a subscriber to Reader’s Digest since many years now and have been receiving the Magazine by post every month. They have stopped sending the magazines to me from July, 2012, although I have paid the annual Subscription for issues upto February, 2013. They send some junks in the name of SWEEP STAKES asking you to buy some of their products and saying that you are the only one in Bengal, 1 among 30 in India to enter the contest, additional prize for quick reply within 7 days / 14 days and so on if you are the winner through computer selection etc. The junk never reaches you with in the stipulated time. It is being stamped at a particular predate and hands over to the Post office concerned. The Junk reaches you after a quick 25 days if you are lucky, or else even after 3 months. When they send letter to you demanding any money due, the letter reaches you in 3 days. This evidently shows that they are only marketing their products and not interested in any Sweep Stakes. They send 2 envelopes for “YES” reply and for “NO” reply. Yes reply shall go to an address at Fort, Mumbai and No reply one goes to Panvel. The Pity is that for NO reply you have to affix Postage Stamps at your cost and it is quite likely that you are not included in the month’s special award if any, because you have not bought their product. Sometimes they fail to attach NO reply envelope intentionally so that you are forced send the reply in the YES envelope. Then you will be the sucker and pay for some product which shall not be wanted in your family. Unknowingly if you receive it pay the Penalty and increase the burden on your floor. Surely I have bought many valuable products in this way worth more than Rs. 50K. But sometimes they send you many unwanted products without any demand. For one such case, I have received one such book which I ALREADY HAVE, HAVING BEEN BOUGHT FROM THEM. To my utter surprise they have unauthorisedly debited something to my Credit Card and as a proof I have shown below my letter to my Bank. This deduction today is a punishment to a septuagenarian against the complaint made to them in writing a few days ago about no receipt of periodicals and unreasonable deduction of Rs. 80/- and forcibly sending unwanted product. My mail to the Bank is shown below.

Today I received a SMS from you stating that Rs. 80/- has been paid to Reader's Digest against my Credit Card No. [protected]. This is illegal demand of the Reader's Digest. Similarly Rs. 80/- was debited to my card by them in March, 2012. For no fault of mine I am being victimised. I request ICICI Bank NOT TO PAY ANY AMOUNT TO READER'S DIGEST FROM MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER MENTIONED ABOVE. If at all any amount is auto debited to me unless I authorise through my security code, it will be illegal. Kindly Inform all your Staff concerned with the payment to Reader's Digest. Since R.D. has stopped sending my monthly issues of the magazine from July, 2012 although I have paid Annual subscriptions for the period upto February, 2013, I am going to stop further subscriptions.
                                        Thanks,
                                        S. Balasubramanian.
