[Resolved]  Reader's Digest — Free gift

You send out in your mail a "claim your free surprise gift" with a web site www.readersdigest.com.au/gift rewards, to go to but when you try and find it you can't. Whatever site you pick doesn't help.

where is my free gift
very true, all they do is lure u with some high rewards and in the process trick u with their bargains n deals and at times, just dump their stuff thru courier, even when returned to the courier guy, it comes back and then they say that u have such and such.. outstanding amt, i mean i ended up paying on two occassions for things i didnt want, and now they have dumped something in my absence . Dunno, what they r upto...just mindless, aggressive money making marketing strategies...I have replied to them thru their email id, but it says delivery notfication failure... To add to it, they have the audacity to tell us that their finance legal dept will follow with us for nonpayment...
Still trying after two months and still cant't find a free gift aclaiming website.
I agree with Mark Hill

been with readersdigest long time.bought [censored]loads over the years.found same problem with free gifts.a/c no [protected].new zealand
I have just tried to get onto readersdigest.com.au/giftrewards. 03-08-10.
Doesn't exist, all you get is an unsolicited 'Discount Gifts Rewards" site.
The direction to Claim your "Free" surprise gift, and the statement "limited stock" would appear a blatant lie.

I received my first subscription today 9/8/2010 with the Free Surprise Gift which doesn't exist. Shocking that people stoop so low to sell their product. I will be informing all my friends never to get caught like I did.

Have just received my first copy of a new subscription with an offer of a free gift by going to their website www.readersdigest.co.nz/giftrewards I am unable to find this site Graeme White email [protected]@xtra.co.nz
I recon i should stop all this false hope. Readers digest seems like you never change!!!
misleading advertising, it appears to be that it's all about getting free discounts off other products which i am not even sure is in nz $ ; been a customer with readers digest for over 40 years and this is out of character for them but disappointing to say the least---are they sabbotaging their own business doubt it ---time they put it right.
I have also received a card to log in for a free gift and can't seem to get anywhere. Not sure why it is being sent if we can't access it??
