State Bank of India is having one Branch at Zakir Nagar, Okhla, New Delhi to cater the Banking need of Large section of Populations comprises the nearby locality of Zakir Nagar, Abul Fazal Enclave Jullena,Shaheen Bagh etc. Most of the time ATM Services of the Branch is found to be dead and it does not dispense Cash with the reason & response Unable to Process and Unable to Dispense Cash.This phenomena is mostly observed on the days of Holidays & vacations such as Sunday, Independence Day, Festivals seasons holidays. Several times customers of the Branch has submitted compliants letter with the Branch Manager but no positive outcome has been experienced. Now it can be concluded that Either The Bank management or and The Branch Manager and other staff is determined to not to provide better services to the local population of one community, let me clear it This area is densely populated by he Muslim population. Is the Branch/Bank trying to give the impression that this community or Local populations of this rae are to be treated like Untouchables?
Further,The staff and Branch officials is having very different attitude in attending the Customers of the Locality and to speak about account opening it is very difficult to get positive response. The Branch officilas must understand that they are not running a shop so that the basic and necessary services can be denied to nay customers. Rather, they have to understand that they are employee and working for a Public owned commercial organization, Bank, and providing Services to the local community with cooperative attitudes and warmth is the main objective of the Bank in the interest of the development of of the community and in turn of Development of the Nation. On one hand the Govt/ RBI has emphasized the objective for financial inclusion, On the other hand Branch has not initiated any step like organizing Camp for mobilizing Account Opening and making local population still unbanked to understand that Banking is the important and necessary for savings and developing habit of Deposit mobilizable.Hope my complaints will be treated as feedback to initiate steps to improve custome services and improve Banking relationship among the local population.
