This is true. I faced this issue of paying above MRP. last time for a bottle of 350 rupees i had to pay 50 rupees extra as they say it is the revised price.

Their attitude is like this
1. u r a drunkard-an ugly act u r performing, u don't have the right to complaint(many people made to believe this way by them).
2.We (the tasmac employees)are goons;look at our attire and arrogance and masculinity(??) .
3.go and complaint...share goes to the top. nothing happens to me.

<b>This is really a bad practice and a social evil.it has got various catastrophic social dimensions as well is government totally blind about this?are they nurturing thieves?</b>

solutions/suggestions:

1.private participation as in Bangalore and competition among dealers(there should be quality checking ensured then).
2. proper centralized billing system.
3. government run shops or websites where we can pay through cash/card/internet banking and get a voucher for a particular liquor item.This can be used within a specific period(10 days or so )to buy liquor from any tasmac shop. be cautious..if it is a shop issuing vouchers then they should not be selling liquor. so we pay there and get voucher.go to tasmac shop and give voucher to get particular item.
( in case of internet voucher printouts, enable the tasmac person to send an sms with voucher code and verify authenticity/log on and confirm it (challenge response system will do here..let the consumer say passcode and check it matches)this is not required i[censored] paid thro cash and gort a hologram ed voucher).
a web based system is cool -as there are no human interactions required.

so no-money transactions with the man at at tasmac shops.(or they will say net is down -we are unable to check authenticity)

4.employing women for tasmac jobs(think it will make things better...who knows!).

5.strict governmental interference and action against violations.

Great suggestions..let government put a fullstop to this barbarian practice.

In all over tamilnadu our goverment is helping to tasmac employees to cheat public...
if our goverment give sivere punishment to cheeting tasmac employees they will stop cheeting our poor public...

This is really an Important complain which this person has brought forward. Most of the people do not bother to complain or they do not want to take the pain to complain regarding this issue because they feel shy or embarassed or even they are not interested. Normally the Tasmac employees round of the actual Mrp and earn 1 to 4 rupees per bottle. But now even after rounding of the amount, they still take 2 to 3 rupees per bottle which makes them earn a lot of money. We do not know whether they run the Tasmac or the government runs it. It is a big time robbing, and they demand extra cash without any Shame.. I also wonder whether the government itself is asking to demand for that money from the customers. This happens in all the Tasmac shop all over Trichy. We are slowly getting irritated due to these attitudes caused byt the employees. I would request you take any action possible to control it.

Talking about rounding off the MRP...Government indirectly made an extra killing by the move and look at the revenue they would be earning...! and infact the government would be only thanking the TASMAC employees for their action...and who knows probably the poor man is made to enrich the treasury of the government and the TASMAC employees...LONG LIVE TN Govt ..at the cost of blood and sweat of the common man and his family. TASMAC in vellore opp to bigchik restaurant is overcharging on a beer they are charging rs.70 but its actually only rs.60.almost every brand and product is being overchared when i tried to argue with him he just shouted back saying we have the right so just [censored] off.
TAMIL NADU government is helping these guys by not taking any care about the customers.A liqour consumer is already being robbed by the govt so they can give free colour tv's, rations etc and also fill their pockets and votes ballots but why even allow those TASMAC goons?

Near avadi railway station thier is tasmac branch Shop .Its letriallly near to station when u get down the station towards hindu college station.They selling hunter beer for 100 rs and kf leger for 90 rs.Not only thier they from padi to trivallur area they charging from 15 to 30 rs more for a single beer.. I would request you to look on this as earliest..

In sithalapakkam and medavakkam, they are charging more than 10 Rs from MRP for all items.

I am living in lalapet near to thirukoilur. TASMAC liquior shops in lalapet is charging more than the MRP. Recently the T N Govt. has rounded off the prices in order to avoid the employess not to take the balance amount which they refuse to pay back to the customers and to increase the revenuve to the govt. All the efforts taken by the Tamil nadu govt, is waste and the employees are charging again excess over the MRP.

When I asked the employee he said very cool that the share goes upto the top level.

Will the TN govt, take any action against this day robbery.

retailers in guwahati — charging extra money on MRP

Retail stores in guwahati, Assam charge an extra amount of Rs. 2 above MRP on soft drinks and Ice creams calling it "The Cooling Charge". They say that this money is charged by them in order to maintain refrigerators. However these products are supposed to be chilled while being sold. Hence this amount is totally unjustified. When asked to provide the bill, they refuse to do so. This problem is not particular to any one shop. All the shops in guwahati are involved in this. Please do something about it.

In Perungudi, thoripakkam Chennai. All TASMAC liquior shops charging more than the MRP. That to they are not seeling in wine shop they are selling in water and glass selling shop. Beer to meant to be cold but TN govt not provoding that facilty but this is highest revenue in govt.
Please provide good facility and hospitality. They are seeling the beer for 100 rs. Already the cost of living in chennai how the people can leave here if govt increasing all things.

i am living in thiruvanmiyur, yesterday i bought 3 bottles of beer(kolt) 1st two bottles mfd is 06/12 and its mrp is 90rs, they are charging 100rs for each but for last beer the mfd date is 07/12 its mrp is 100 they are charging 110rs.so please take necessary actions against billing, i am recommended to introduce electronic billing.

Sir, I behalf of hundreds of people living in rural area are lodging a complaint against the adulteration in liquor bottles in TASMAC shop in KUNNALADY, , nilgiris (dt), pandalur taluk, nellakottai pachayat pin 643241.the persons employed in these shops are mixing poisnous drugs such as HANS extract PAN MASALAS etc. This extract is then filled in the bottle by tampering the neck or top of the bottle.By consuming these adulterated liquors the peoples such as un educated tribals, daily wage labours, middle class public are affected by some serious health and mental problems, these peoples engage in in abusing the public which leads to violence.If this process continues this will lead to severe antisocial elements .Strict action must be taken against these employees with immediate effect, or may lead to serious health promblems of innocent peoples.So request to take neccessary and quickactions against these culprits.

Today I purchased British Empire (750ml) from Tasmac (Near Railway station, shop# 3497) in Erode and paid Rs.600 (MRP. Rs.595) but when I requested for balance of Rs. 5, he ignored and when asked again, he started using all kind of filthy & bad words. He seem not to care, even after me warning about complaining him. He also said, "Let me see how you get British Empire next time". This is not the only time, such scenario is happening... Everytime, he says "No change" but this time I gave Rs.5 change and he boldly said "we give only for Rs.600) and exceeded his limit. Hope necessary action will be taken against him, so that it doesn't happen in the future.

TASMAC - requesting shifting of TASMAC (Shop No: 9099) do a different location due to public nuisance


Please shift the TASMAC (Shop No: 9099) shop to some other area as it is situated at the main Bazaar. This is causing a lot of trouble to all people; ladies, office goers, residents, school going children.

Many of the people who come here to this TASMAC keep fighting, use foul language and tease the passerby and ladies too. There are also constantly two or three people who are completely drunk and are lying down on the streets. This is becoming a very great Public nuisance and most of our families and friends are scared to pass-by this shop.

In view of our community living peacefully and for us to also provide a better example to our children we request you to have the TASMAC (Shop No: 9099) shifted to a different location.

Before choosing the correct place for TASMAC Wine Shop, the officials must visit the place and decide whether that place is suitable for a Wine Shop. In our street, Krishnan Colony, Nerkundram Pathai, Vadaplani, Chennai - 26, they have started a Wine Shop all of a sudden. There is a ration shop in front of the new Wine Shop. More over that street is a narrow one. There is no parking place for the customers. The residents can not even enter into the street. The drunkards used to urinate near by places of Wine Shop. We have complained with the CM Cell. Hope action will be taken and the shop will be removed soon.

I faced the same on Dec 09. I consumed a bottle of Kingfisher Beer and the next day woke up with a bad headache, that i have never experienced ever. It definetly was adulterated. It is suprising that even Beer is adulterated.

Pls look in to the matter and take this as a complaint.

This is Sathish from coimbatore, Last Sunday [5/7/09] i purchase a MGM MEDIUM VODKA for rupees 140. It's actual MRP price is 137 rupees.But addittionly he take 3 rupees for every vodka bottle. When i ask the balance amount to that person. He said, this is the actual price if want purchase or otherwise u getlost from her.
My humble request is to take the immediate action against that person.

This is vinoth GS from Chennai.In Tasmac they are ony fix the rate. Last week Sunday morg 11 o clock i went to tasmac in padi. King fisher strong beer rate is Rs 75 in the bottle but they sold Rs 95. Difference is Rs 20. Is this reasonable or acceptable? Some months back if the rate is Rs 75 then they gave it for Rs 80.

Now why this is huge difference. I am just telling the only one example its all happening every where and every brand.

I would like to bring your knowledge about what is voilation going in Avadi railway station near tasmac shop, here is beer rate is unbeliveable 110 ruppes normal beer, this is thrid time i complients, just come and check the bar they strictly said if you need you can buy otherwise shut in your mouth move my shop this is civilization country i hope so??but this kind chetting money everywhere share holder for this money, please kindly understand change the plan sale every one shop in tamilnadu,

example in keral only thier is issuing the coustomer with bill correct MRP why not impliment here, so any one else going to court then only court is give judgement???dont be pushed the pople one people get the aungry then everything esle finished

Today on 28-7-20, I went to the TASMAC shop at Cheyyar, Tiruvannamalai dt to buy liquor. On my surprise they charged extra Rs.10 per bottle. The innocent people gave extra amount and scolding them for that. I argued the TASMAC supplier to give for the amount printed in the bottle. But they refused to do so. Then I have informed him that I will made a complaint to the authorities. Even then he refused to give. He then gives other persons who is giving extra amount. He is not at all worried about my complaint information. Then I returned without any purchase.

I aggreed ur point... In Tasmac they are collecting more than the MRP rate.. But wt u people can do for that...? - Nothing. Because of Political Support. Who is ready to pay more than that MRP rate for one kilogram rice or one litter Oil or anything which is nessessary for human beings.

Simple Example : 1) Tomorrow the rate of one lr petrol is going to increase.. what will happen...three or four days people do strike in someplaces and "Unnaviratham" for 2 days... Didi u seen it? any use ? nothing... aftre that all will going smoothly... u also put petrol for that rate.. Because u should live for somebodies or urself...right?

In America, the government sale petrol to people in Cheap(18-20 US$) rate. They are buying petrol from where we are buying... In which rate u r putting petrol in India? Above Rs.50 . It is equal to (50 US$). Onething u have to listen...

1 us$ = 50 or 52 Indian rupees.

But for americans 20$ = 20 rupees. Means 1 rupee = 1 dollor . I hope u understood..

Hello I living in chennai ambattur i used to take drink once in a week if i go to the wine shop the tasmac employee is selling bottle more than MRP if we ask to take correct price they are not responding and very rudy answer from them and in every shop they engaged two or three local roudy and they also behaving very bad. especialy in Ambattur all wine shops are selling more than MRP if you are not controlled this the issue will taken to C M Cell within in week s time we also consul with one senior adcocate about this .

Pl take appropirate action on this.

I live in saligramam the same thing happening to me every day and more than that the workers are giving me the bill also. The shop No is 610 at nerkundram road, and the sales men there are Karikalan, Saravanan, Kmaraj.

SIVA COOL BAR — SELLING MORE THAN MRP RATE

There is a cool bar shop at Velappanchavadi (after Vanagaram) (near HDFC ATM) at Bangalore-Ponnamallee main road. They are selling 500ml Coke, Pepsi etc. for Rs. 30 instead of its original price Rs. 27. They are getting Rs. 3 more than its MRP rate. If we ask they replied very boldly that we will sell like this and you can do whatever you can do! I'm really surprised about the answer from that shop owner. Please do something else since they are the day time robberies.

Save People like these kind of robberies.

I live at Velecherry and had beers (British Empire) at Tasmac a/c bar shop no 928. we have paid 125/- for each beer and sitting harges of 50/- per head and despit of that we have asked why the beer is too costly and they have started man handling and then we found itis rediculous to be thereat Tasmac Bar. When we asked for the management the total bar tenderes are on us with the sticks to beat us. This is an open cheating market of TASMAC. If some one can take action on these kind of one pr two bars by closing them then automotically the price can be monitered and the man handling can be reduced. Really the TASMAC shop NO. 928 are the worst Bar I have seen in Chennai.

Its Happening everywhere, giving bribe or getting both are coming under criminal act. We have been made to live like this ?

Suggestion : PUT Camera in the all the wine shop ...

when you are in ac bar you have to pay extra money for coke or pepsi even a water packet... because it was delivered to here table form somewhere... for that they are keeping some extra charges... 5 RS. extra than MRP happens in all tasmac... not in the above mentioned places... may be its a order for them...
