[Resolved]  Tata Indicom Broadband — Poor service tata broadband connection

Sir i am using tata indicom broadband connection past 5 month my login id [protected]@vsnl. Net
Past 45 days i am facing lot of problem in my broadband connection connection lost for 2 to 3 days continuesly. Even i recieved 26 days of downtime credit for my connection lost from tata broadband connection. And i paid the advance amount for 5 month. Still i am facing the same problem after meeting to the head mr sarvanna & area manager mr. Sarat in chetpet office.

Please suggest me what i have to do for this problem to be rectify even because of this connection lost i loss my many bussiness proposals income.

1 hour or 2 hour is sence but 2 days & 3 days connection lost is totally nonsense. Please help me.

This is Hitesh and I am from kolkata, i am using the Tata Indicom BB service from last two years and recently shifted location.
I applied to shift my broadband connection to my new premises and have got no update. Then i called and made a complaint but still no one bothers to call me. This is the MOST PATHETIC customer service i have ever received. After visiting their office i found there is no feasibility and thats after 3 weeks of my complaint.
I realised how this company is working and how pathetic they are in this competition market, I thought to ignore and move on with some other provider.
But thing which shocked me is someone in second floor of my apartment got the Broadband connection from Tata Indicom, how stupid I am as i have chosen Tata Indicom as BB service provider.
To give them another chance i called them again and informed same, someone very politely (fake etiquette) said me that we will arrange service there but then no call back received.

More Introduction about me, I am working for a UK Broadband company as a Team leader and service we provide to the customer is 1000 times better and faster than what this stupid Tata Indicom is giving.

ITS MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO ALL CITIZENS OF INDIA THAT NEVER EVER TAKE ANY CONNECTION FROM THEM.

You are very right. TATA broadband is the most unreliable service.
You may call it TATA NARROWBAND.. Their service is the worst
in the field today.

I have been one of the victims... but now I am not going to renew
my connection!!! that is the best I can do as I have been in pre-paid.

TATA Indicom Broadband — Send Bill without installation

This is to bring to your notice that without installation of Broadband connection the TATA company has send me Bill. I thing there is some fraud going in TATA company. Please all take care of this, they promise installation and collect documents, then send bill. May be somebody is using this service in our name.

Tata Indicom Broadband — Service and connectivity

Donot get a TATA indicom WiMAx connections as there service is very bad and the connectivity also very bad. There are soo many members who were effected with this Blady connection and TATA guys are not refunding the amounts back to members. Even the service is very bad that if there is any problem they will come after one week.

Please donot encourage this people as they think that they are good in there services. Its just Brand name , no good service. No one in the Wimax service will work correctly and i don't know why the TATA indicom is just wasting there money interms of giving salaries to those guys. Its a waste one.

This is bring to your kind notice that I purchased TATA PHOTON + BROADBAND SERVICE (a/c no[protected] on 5th Feb, 2010 with the intension that TATA is one of the prestigious brand in their respective field of communications.

But I am sorry to say that I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the kind of the services and the product and due to which I have decided that I am not going to buy any product of Tata in future and also not recommend it to any body whom so ever come into my networking . I am writing you all these because I am really frustrated of getting a defective device everytime…..

I am also writing you the reasons for dissatisfactions along with the unique features of your company’s product

FEW LINES ABOUT THE QUALITY OF YOUR PRODUCT

Reason 1: Your salesperson is giving tampered device to the customer. They open the seal of the product without the permission of the customers and interchange it with the defective pieces.

It happenes to me bcoz when I got the device it was already open and when I asked him why it is so…… I got the such kind of stupid answer from your employees.i.e ‘ BARSAAT MAY DEVICE KA JO DAABBA THA WHO BHIG GAYA THA….ISLIYAY HAMNAY NAYA DABBAY MAY DEVICE KO PACK KAR KAY AAP KO DAY DIAYA OR WAISAY BHI SEAL PACK DABBA TOH HUM LOG KHOL TAY HI HAY KYUKI DEVICE KO ACTIVATE KARAHANA PADTA HAY……AS PER THE SERIAL NOS WHICH IS MENTIONED ON THE BACK SIDE OF DEVICE ITSELF.”……..But in my case I found that the serial no given on the device and on the box does not match…..I notice this when I go to the service center and facing problem at the time of changing device because of two different serial nos….ie. one on the device and other one on the packing box…….which does not match at all).

Reason 2> I got the device on 5th feb, 2010 which was not function from the day One . Therefore I book my complaint for the same……and when your engineer visited he declared that the device is found to be defective therefore it is to be replaced by the service center. (Going to the service center to get the new device is the job of the customer bcoz it is not a part of the salesperson to provide the correct device to the customer)

When I discuss this issue with the manager of your Kanpur branch, he told “ BADAL KAR NAYI DAY TOH RAHAY HAY AAPKO...SERVICE CENTER CHALAY JAAYI YAY OR APNA DEVICE CHANGE KARA LIJIYAY’’ WE CAN’T DO ANYTHING FOR YOU.

(No one is ready to listen the problem of the customer’s infact the employees of your company are showing attitude to the customers.-Best way to avoid the customers and their problems)


Reason 3: After getting the new device from the service center ……….when I started using it …..again I found the device is not working….there is some technical fault in this which again I give it back to the service center dated on 25the feb, 2010. (i.e with in the period of 20 days I changed my device twice……and I m still waiting for the new device to come…… and I m sure again it is defective and again I have to give it back to service center and wait ...and this process will keep going on……I am not saying this statement…infact it is being said by the employees of the company-----TAB TAK NAYA DEVICE LAYTAY RAHIYAY JAB TAK KI SAHI DEVICE NAA MIL JAYAY….SERVICE CENTER KHULA HAY AAP WAHA JAATAY RAHIYAY OR CHANGE KARAATAY RAHIYAY)

I MUST SAY, THIS IS THE BEST WAY OF YOUR COMPANY TO MAKE THE CUSTOMER FOOL BECAUSE THE DEALER GOT THE MONEY FROM THE CUSTOMER (RS 3600) AND THE COMPANY GOT THEIR DEVICE BACK BY THE WAY OF BEING DEFECTIVE..…….REALLY, YOU MADE A MARVELLOUS MARKETING STRATEGY.

As an MBA guy I never read this kind of marketing strategy during my 2 years of academic programme therefore I have decided to share this information to others, I circulated your excellent marketing strategy to all my friends in kanpur city and request them also to forward this message to their friends……so that they guys don’t do the same mistake which I did….. They don’t even think of purchasing your product in future. I am sure you know the strength of WOM (words of mouth) marketing, if you are really a marketing guy.

Now the most important thing that is about your customer service on which you are focusing a lot…..let me show you the real picture regarding the quality of the service:




FEW LINES ABOUT THE QUALITY OF YOUR SERVICE:

1) Sales person does not have any knowledge about the installation of the device …(Give them a proper training for the product installation and trouble shooting)

2) Salesperson didn’t know about the address of the service center in their respective location.. As a customer I told the address of the service center to your sales person.. ….(Wow, what a great sales team you have)

3) There is no single computer system in your Kanpur branch office….in order to check the device of the customer whether it is working or not……I am strange to know when I visited ur branch office and request them to kindly check the device into their system, No one is ready to insert the device in their systems y ……because they itself believe that .it will affect the functioning of their system through which It wont work properly. This is the kind of set up you have in your branch office. ( what a beautiful infrastructure you have…..NAA COMPUTER HOGAY, NA DEVICE CHECK KARNAY PADAY GAY)


4) Your so called dealer who does not know anything about the product except the price of the product….ie.Rs 3600/=. He made a clear cut statement that if there is any problem call the company, I got my commission therefore my job is over………It is again unfortunate the company people also don’t know anything. Every time sales team used to call their boss and this chain keep going on…….(people are always busy in calling bosses every time)

5) Sales Team does not have basis etiquette how to deal with the customers .


As a customer I lost my money and faith on your company’s product…..
If you want I can send you the papers also ……regarding the kind of fraud i.e. different serial nos, complaint nos… so that u can see it by yourself and improve your marketing strategy.( which is really unique in the world) so that you can retain your customers for a longer period of time.

Hoping that you will take some necessary steps and come up with some positive solutions against the entire issue……..

I had send an email to Customer.[protected]@tatatel.co.in regarding this issue, I had also talked to different people in customer support. I had now got the second bill also without installation. no resolution of the problem till date
Don't spare them. tell them for refund.

When I contacted them the told me that it will get activated with in 1 hour, but it was not,
I many many calls but still it was not activated, from the past three days it is not activated, the checque I gave him was debited

I am using the Tata Indicom Broadbad connetion since the august 2009. I pay by bills regularly. Recently i am facing a problem with the connection. The connection gets disconnected suddenly, and i am offline for atleast a day, and every sunday they say i will have 1.5Mbps speed, but every sunday the connection is down. i am frustrated about this. When ever i call to the customer care about this, they say the sever is down, we are working on it, you will get back the connection in an hour or so. But it doesnt happen.And my plan says i have unlimilted downloads, but i was charged for over usage. They say, tat there is an upper limit for unlimited connections also. Then what does "Unlimited" mean?. If there was this kind of limit, they should have informed me when i took the connection. I want the company to take immediate steps to resolve my problem.

I have been facing regular interruption to connect to the internet. The problem started severely since December-2009. The problem was so frequent that it would happen every day or every 3 days. I have tried speaking to the Customer support and Nodal Officer, but of no use. All the time I have called them , I have been said that there is a problem in the local Server. But When I ask for Compensation in terms of DOWNTIME PAYMENT, they refused to do it as I was not eligible for that in their POLICIES. On March 14 I faced the same problem, But I was asked for Renewing MY ACCOUNT, so that they will help me in restoring the problem, but there is no solution, I am facing the same problem frequently, and they are not willing to help me.
When I raise a complaint stating that there is a frequent Disconnection, I have been said that it will be resolved within some timelimit, but The PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE THE SAME< IT DOESN'T END. THE PEOPLE ON THE TATAINDICOM CLOSE THE COMPLAINT STATING THAT THE USER WAS ABLE TO GO ONLINE. They seem not to be worried for long time resolution.
I have spoken to NODAL OFICER, and they seem to not to care about the customers' grievances.

TATA Indicom — Cancelled Connection

We canceled Tata internet and phone connection as we were shifting our office at new place, where Tata does not give service. We canceled Account number[protected] with our two telephone lines:

on 29th September on phone with customer service executive and was provided with request number / docket no.[protected]. We also have settled the used bill charges. Sent them numerous mail and received the acknowledgment for each mail. However till now the bill in being generated on this account number every month, executives call for payments almost daily and harass us. We have settled the last used bill and have been shifted on new place on October 1st.
