Dear Sir,


On the first week of March 2011, I [Ujjwal Kumar Ghosh] had received a phone call from the customer service desk of TATA Teleservices Ltd, offering me a scheme [for promo package offer of Rs 1299/-] for TATA Walky Handset and as I was interested in I, I had requested them to send their authorized official sales person to my residence address: 14K SHANTI GHOSH STREET, BAGH BAZAR, KOLKATA-700 003. On that very same day, a Person named Mr. Swarup [Mob: [protected]] had visited my residence. Mr. Swarup had then conveyed that the promo scheme was for Rs 1399/- and not Rs 1299/- . As it is I was interested in the scheme, I had taken the offer. But I was not provided any Money Receipt by Mr. Swarup for the payment of Rs 1399/- which I had made to him for purchase of the scheme.

At that point of time, Mr. Swarup gave me another offer that together with this Rs 1399/- if I buy another TATA Indicom Mobile Set a sum of Rs 900/- alongwith one SIM Rs 100/- then from that TATA Indicom connention I can make unlimited FREE calls to 2 (two) TATA Indicom Mobile number on ZERO Rental monthly basis. As I even liked this offer I had enrolled my name for the same.

Hence I was provided the following numbers for both the phoned which I had taken as below:

For the TATA Walky Handset [for which I had initially made the payment of Rs 1399/-] the number allotted to me was:[protected]
For the TATA Indicom Mobile Set [ for which I had paid Rs 900/- extra] the number allotted to e was:[protected]



But on the succeeding week, when I visited the Official Office of TATA Indicom [Ultadanga Outlet], I was made to understand, by the desk officer, that the offer provided to me by Mr. Swarup was completely fictitious and was not in existence. According to the desk officer, this was a completely fraud case. They replied we are not providin any offer for Zero rental monthly basis and it is actualy Rs 149/- on monthly basis and we do not have such a scheme which is unlimited free calls in 2 (two) number of TATA INDICOM. Strange?



But my concern here is, if at all the above stated two offers was a case of mis-selling and a fraudulent activity happening to me then please specify, how come the two above stated numbers [For the TATA Walky Handset[protected] & For the TATA Indicom Mobile Set[protected]], get activated and how come I have received a Welcome Letter from Tata Teleservices Ltd, duly signed off by the “Chief Operating Officer”?

Adding up to my amazement, the desk officer at Ultadanga Office had completely denied the entire incident [starting from me receiving a call from the customer care desk of Tata Teleservice Ltd, to the fact a person named Mr. Swarup, who is supposed to be an “authorized official sales person “ from Tata Teleservices Ltd visiting my residence, and even the two allotted numbers [[protected] &[protected]] getting duly activated and me receiving a welcome letter from the “Chief Operating Officer” of Tata Teleservices Ltd.


Moreover the desk officer at Ultadanga Office had got the audacity to tell me that if I don’t leave their office premises, then they would be compelled to throw me out by their Armed Security Guard, inspite of the fact, that I was having a normal discussion with them.


Owing to these rapid incidences occurring, I was so very stressed and dis-satisfied, that on the 16th March, 2011, I had visited the Park Street Branch Office of Tata Teleservice Ltd and have surrendered both the above stated connections. Inspite of the fact that this step of mine have made me suffer a monitory loss of Rs 2299/- [Rs 1399/- + Rs 900/- +Rs 100/-], which would not get credited back to me.



I am seriously amazed and dis-heartened to see the service provided to the consumers and the mis-selling happening in the marketing of the product for Tata Teleservice Ltd. I would be deeply indebted if you kindly take some necessary steps in relation to the customer service standards and the mis-transparency in the marketing of the Tata Tele products so some other person can be saved this embarrassment and harassment.

TATA Indicom — frauds by tata indicom sales person

I had purchased Tata Indicom Whiz and since then I am getting the following problems :

1) The salesman (Mr. Ankit at Tata Indicom, Y N Road, Indore) gave me the device for 2450 INR with 2 months free period. But later I was charged for the second month. On my enquiry, I found out that the device with one month free costs 1700 INR. I also filed a complaint (number [protected]) but that also didn't work and still I find myself fighting for the balance amount. Mr Ankit now left the job and I suppose he ran away with my balance amount.

2) After around a month my device stopped working and I filed another complain (number [protected]). Your engineer told me that device's hardware is not working. Although, my problem has not been solved till today still there's is not a call from customer care asking for the same issue if solved or not. If device is not working for around 2-3 months how can I be charged for the same?

3) Too disgusted and disheartened with the services, I decided upon disconnecting my connection and on your salesperson's advice (at Tata Indicom, Appolo Square, Indore) I gave them an application for disconnection on 24th December 2009. Relying on Tata Indicom staff, I considered my internet disconnected (could not test it as my device also was not working). On February 18th my connection was finally disconnected.

Now, your staff asks me to pay bill of about 2282 INR. And I received a mail ordering me to pay my bill in 7 days or there would be a court case. But, I suppose I should get a fair compensation.

After such a bad experience I would recommend people never to switch to any services of tata indicom and I myself now prefer using internet and other services of other telecom companies. Hope you will help in improving my experience.

Kindly look into the matter and help me getting the required compensation.

TATA Indicom | Walky — Non reciept of walky inspite of initial payment

My name is vishal thaker. i had applied for tata walky on 9th september 2010. the executive had said that if you pay cash the connection will be installed within 3 days. Also due to ganesh chaturthi it will take 2 days additional. hence the connection will be on 15th septmeber 2010

the connection was not installed. i went to inquire about the same in tata indicoms borivali customer support office. please note the sequence of events.
The application no. is 3072039

1. the executive said to put up a complaint with its nodal office
(16th september 2010) - morning

2. the nodal office(call centre executive rahul) said to visit the borivali office again (16th september 2010) - afternoon

3. the manager said that the walky is out of stock and hence the application has not been entered into system. he asked for two days of time and still no response - evening. Four days have passed on still no response

Mr. LUCKY had then conveyed that the promo scheme was for Rs 600/- and not Rs 500/- . As it is I was interested in the scheme, I had taken the offer. But I was not provided any Money Receipt by Mr. LUCKY for the payment of Rs 600/- which I had made to him for purchase of the scheme.

At that point of time, Mr. LUCKY gave me another offer that together with this Rs 600/- if I buy another TATA Indicom Mobile Set a sum of Rs 500/- alongwith one SIM Rs 100/- then from that TATA Indicom connention I can make unlimited FREE calls to 2 (two) TATA Indicom Mobile number on ZERO Rental monthly basis. As I even liked this offer I had enrolled my name for the same.
