[Resolved]  Tata Sky Digicard — Fraudulent charges

Taken the connection in Jan 2007 by paying Rs.4000/- + etc.. And every month the charges would be Rs.350/-.
In Sep 2008 problem started-all of a sudden while you watch the blank screen and then appears. We called the tata sky customer service after trying an hour we got through (great!) then I explained the full story and a executive told that she will send the technical person to check the robleem. And 2 days not to be seen again spent 2 hours in explaining the stories and the technical people landed. AAnd they told us that the digicomp has to be changed and it costs money. they came with the digicomp and it worked for a day and from the 2nd day the same prblem, again called by wasting my time and got through and they landed up with another digicomp which was alright and for this service they deducted Rs.350/- from our account. Which I noticed after a month so I called the customer service and they promised that they will credit the amount back, and this is happening inspite of the customer signing the work order stating the charges are zero (NIL) in words.
The again same problem started in March 2009. Called and they came they said that we have to sign the anuual service contract for Rs.500/- to whcih we agreed and signed and after a week we noticed that again they deducted the annual service contract charges and the service charges of anothe Rs.350 been dedcuted all over again.
So on a total the customer has to spend Rs.500 on an average to have their services. IS IT WORTH? THIS IS APART FROM THE TELEPHONE CALLS WHCIH WE HANG ON FOR HOURS TO RESOLVE THESE ISSUES AND SPENDING ON AN AVERAGE 1 HOUR TO EXPALING THE HISTORY AND THEN THEY PUT THE CALL ON TO TL AND THERE AGAIN YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO EXPLAIN THE FULL STORY AND PROMISED THAT WE WILL GET IT DONE AND THEN YOU GET A MESSAGE AGAIN THAT YOUR BALANCE IS RS.10/- AND THEREFORE PLEASE REACTIVATE.
cannot do the same to others- guide me to reach to consumer forum and to make the problems from TATA SKY known to public so that they can ban the service .
SO PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE TATASKY CONNECTION IN YOUR LIFE. THEY ARE NOT WORTH FOR THE MONEY AND THEY ARE CHEATERS IN A VERY.. BIG WAY. WHERE NOBODY OWNS ANY RESPONSIBILITY, THEY JUST READY TO GRAB MONEY FROM THE CUSTOMERS.
DON'T EVER GO FOR TATA SKY CONNECTIONS. IT IS NOT AT ALL VALUE WORTH FOR MONEY INSTEAD IT IS WASTE OF YOUR TIME OTHERN THAN MONEY WHERE YOU HAVE TO SIT AND MONITOR WHAT THEY ARE DEDCUTING AND THEN GO BACK AND FOLLOW UP WITH THEM.

It appears the problem with you may have been a one off issue. There are millions of Tata Sky subscribers like me and most are quiet happy with their service. Its unfortunate that you had this experience. However, all DTH services have had some issues and so has cable!! So I dont agree with your criticism of Tata Sky.
As far as my experience with TATA SKY is concerned, they are very prompt in attending calls, sending their techy in time and the post-sale service. One should go for a MEGAPACK subscription if satisfactory and free service is expected from the TATA SKY. In total, we are having 450 connections in a big setup, no problems so far.
I am calling TATA SKY customer service nearly five times in ten days. They are giving FIVE compliant numbers but the techinician never turned up. I did not know weather they will come before my death. JAI for TATA SKY FOR THEIR CHEATING murali from chennai
