Hello,

I got TataSky subscription on 22/8/2009. I have been very happy with their service so far. But the following evnts has left a bad taste in the mouth.

1. On 21/8/2009 I called the Tatasky Call center and requested for new service.
2. Call support personnel asked me which package I am interested in.
3. As I had done extensive research before calling them, I told them that I would like to go for "Annual Mega Pack".
4. I was told that there's a one month free subscription and I can take the annual package after one month. But for Sports Channels I have to pay extra(as that free package doesn't include any sports channel).
5. I paid extra bucks for sports channel on 24/08/2009.
6. Please note that no one mentioned that the price for the annual pack is inreasing and no one told me that I will have to pay the new price if the price changes in that one month.
7. Just after one week(31/8/2009) I got a shock when in one of the forums it was mentioned that the price for the annual pack was increased by 500 Rs.
8. I called up help desk again and told them that it's a clear case of misinformation from their side. Ans requested them to allow me to get into annual package at 5000 pa.(old price).
9. it was outrigthly rejected saying it's my misunderstanding.(not sure how they can claim their customores are !! )
10. I was asked to send a mail to [protected]@tatasky.com.
11. I sent a mail on 3/9/2009. I got a automated response withing minutes saying the issue would be answered in 24 hours!!..(Service Request Reference Number: 1-[protected])
12. It's been 5 days now and after 1 more follow up mail I have got no response from them.

Could any on help me escalating this issue? Or are we getting cheated in the name of Tata which we trust blindly?

I have requested for reinstallation on 1st June 2014 and its been 15 days no one has come to resolve it even after complaining again and again in customer care. Never expected such kind of services from tatasky Really fed up by following complaining for it.
We missed Animax 3 years ago and we want to watch Animax Tata sky please.Can you "Animax" come back in October 2014 soon!!!

Since one month I have been calling and have been told that someone will visit us in 24 hours, I was also asked to deposit Rs.230/- in my A/C to activate the same, I did deposit the amount but nothing has happenned, I have spoken to Mr.Dharmdenra, , Sulthana Akhthar and Moorty to name a few
Today after one month I was told that my call is still unscheduled and I have to just keep waiting as they cannot tell me a definete time when someone would visit us.
I must say that even pathetic cannot describe your service as that too would be a very light term, for an organisation which is backed by Tata group this was never expected.
I have tried all my best to continue with Tatasky but of no avail
I have finally decided to switch over to Hathway services, please let me know how do I get my refund of my deposit Amount

    Dear Sir / Madam

    As a regular practice i had asked the dealer to recharge my account no [protected] with a topup of Rs. 300/- on the 20th of August 09.
    Inspite of waiting for a long time of 4 hrs my service was not started, I made enquires and was told that the status at the dealer end was activated successful, but at the Tatasky end it was showing unsuccessful.
    since the dealer had given the printout of the successful recharge , there is no way i can blame him for it.
    I had registered 2 complains on 21st august ag. no. 1-[protected] and again reregistered the complain on 26th of August ag. no. 1-[protected].
    Till date on many enquires made with the helpline nos, they are pushing the blame on the dealer when I am dead sure the money is pocketed by Tatasky. as i have proof enough for this.
    My request is to get the refund of the said amount alongwith penalty as applicable from day one of default.

      set top box not working

      dear sir,
      i had purchase tata sky from his dealer in paonta sahib-173025 before 10months.he give me one year warranty.i asked to the dealer to repair my set top box.but he refused to repair my set top box....

      I am a TATA SKY customer at MUMBAI and my customer ID is [protected]. I have relocated my office very recently. I called up customer care on 17 August 09 and informed about my relocation and got appointment. I shifted my office and i was waiting..waiting and waiting..till now nobody came to my place. I made around 20calls to tatasky customer care but they kept on telling "it will be done by today" and at the end of day they used to tell "the engg re-scheduled"..and story repeats everyt-day. There is a BIG gap in comm between customer & engg department due to which customers are having bad time. it is the worst service I ever had in my life time. Thanks to TATASKY for showing hieghts of irresponsibility and not communicating well to customers. I have learnt a lot from your pathetic service.

        The consumer forum
        Respected Sir,
        I am Chandan Kumar working in NTPC as an Engineer and living outside my home. I am using Tata Sky service at my home. From last two-week Tata Sky services are not available. After getting information about this problem from home, I called Tata Sky customer care on 15th august 2009 and complain about this problem. She guides me to resolve the problem for about 45 minutes but problem was not solved, then she took complain. I got call back after 3hour for Engineer visit but after getting my house location, he refused to handle my problem for that day and said that he would come on next day. On 16th august, I was waiting for him, but he could not come. I again called the Engineer but again got same reply, he would come to solve my problem on Tuesday (18 august). After getting this message, I again called customer care and describe my problem. She again took my new complain. I got call back form Tata Sky, during that call Engineer advised me to rotate the antenna. I rotated the antenna during that processes call was disconnected. I tried a lot but unable to resolve the problem. After that I tried to call the Engineer but either his cell was switch off or he was not receiving my call.
        On next day I went to my job in NTPC Barh, Patna. I called Tata Sky more than 10times but got nothing till now and even without visiting my home they closed my complain request. I requested to the customer care to give me the detail of their employ, who closed my request without proper service, but he refused to provide me such information. On 20th of august, I again called customer care, asked about my problem, and demanded action against such employ. However, I could not get any such action detail. In the evening, I got a call from Engineer, he suggested me to call the Engineer not to the customer care. I asked him to please call your Engineers and then see whether their cell is on. He called four or five Engineer but either their cell is off or they could not receive the call. He finally he promised to solve my problem on next day.
        During this whole process I suffered a lot of mental and financial (call to customer care) problem. Now I am confused what to do so; I request you please do the required action as applicable.

        Mr Chandan Kumar,
        You have been going through a tough time. As far as my experience as a Tata Sky customer my problems were very well handled by the customercare. They have also left me with a resolved case. I guess while troubleshooting on the issue the disconnected call left the problem half solved. A callback is assigned from the cc. The engineers to arrive usually on time unless there is some major difficulty, the engineers should solve your difficulty.

          from these last 3 days we have been complaining to tata sky helpline numbers about our dish as it shows no signal. they say to us that they will call us in the morning at 11 am but no one calls. we have complained about it 3 times, but as usual no response from them. so please do something about it.

          Tata sky consumer service is very helpful, I found them listening to my grevience and resolving them
          dish no signal problem may occur due to shift in antenna pointing, they also educate on matters of problem so it gets better to understand the problem. Try if the problem can be resolved on call or call the technician.
          I am a TATA SKY customer at ludhiana and my customer ID is [protected]. I have unable to view my tatasky service from last 1/1/2 month.I called up customer care and informed well in advance about my problem and got appointment. i was waiting... waiting and waiting..till now nobody came to my place. I made around 100calls to tatasky customer care but they kept on telling "it will be done by today" and at the end of day they used to tell "the engg re-scheduled"... and story repeats everyday. There is a BIG gap in comm between customer & eng department due to which customers are having bad time. it is the worst service I ever had in my life time. Thanks to TATASKY for showing heights of irresponsibility and not communicating well to customers. I have learnt a lot from your pathetic service. I missed grand cricket FINAL and also missing today's match :(. It is a mental toucher for the customer and BIG harassment.

            Well ideally you should not keep nay balance in your Tata sky account, . Whenever you need to charge for any service, you can do so by phone transaction or by credit card online. There is no need to keep money over there.

              Dear Sir/s,

              Reg.: Tatasky Digi Comp No.[protected] and Digi Card No.[protected]

              I had purchased the above mentioned Tatasky DTH from Tatasky dealer J.K.Enterprises, Dombivli (East) for Rs.3, 000/- (Rs.2, 000/- cost of DTH and Rs.1, 000/- for subscription for 6 months) on[protected]. They have promised me they will register and get the installed done on the same day as requested by me. Which has not happened.

              I received an SMS from TA-TataSky on[protected] at 12.41 pm informing that your request is registered and WO No.1-[protected] and our service team will notify by SMS or phone call.

              I called on[protected] and requested to get the installation done on[protected]. In reply to that I got an SMS saying your request scheduled at[protected].:00:00 and service engineer mobile No.[protected]. I called Service engineer and he informed me that he is not attending the call and in turn given me another No.[protected]. When I contacted on that number they given me another No.[protected].

              I called on [protected] he had informed me he is not attending the call and given another No.[protected]. When I contacted on this no. he promised me that he will be coming on[protected]. Which again not happened and told me will coming on[protected] in the afternoon. Which again not happened and told me will be coming in the evening. When I called in the evening told me Mr.Abhijeet's brother not well so that not coming today. First they told me Mr.Ravi will be coming then told me Mr.Pradeep will be coming now telling me this story of Mr.Abhijeet. This is a case of false representation. Above all I have lost my one day salary and wasted whole day.

              Then I called on[protected] around 6.05 pm to know what is the exact position and I got information that basic complaint had been registered and the engineer will call within 2 hours, which also not happened.

              On[protected] morning around 10.27 am I got an SMS saying the request has been scheduled at[protected]:00:00 and service engineer mobile No.[protected].

              I called on the cell No.[protected] in the evening to confirm the time. One Mr.Prasana told me that he is also doing his own business in Tata Sky and he will finish first with that then only he will do mine that also if he gets time, so that he can't give anytime schedule. Installation at my place does not taken place y'day also.

              Y'day evening I had visited the dealers J.K.Enterprises to inform them about the non-installation. One more person had come with the same issue of non-installation at his place since[protected]. He returned the product saying that I will never buy this product as they cheated me.

              I would also like to return the product today if the installation is not done today also with a compensation for my one day salary and mental agony.

              Awaiting a favourable reply at the earliest.

              You seemed to have a very bad time, in your case I could say its the dealers fault because I too have tata sky connection and I am totally satisfied with the service provided. Whenever I faced any difficulty I contacted the customercare and they have been really helpful in resolving my issue.Also another customer came with the same issue so it could be the dealers problem.
              Dear Sir,

              I do not who you are, are from tata sky? Pl. note that the messages and telephone numbers are given by tatasky not by the dealer. Offcourse the dealer is also in fault. I had forgotten this issue, but you reminded. This will help other general public also for their awareness

                i have a tata sky connection. my sub id is [protected].since it has not been working properly .. when we open tv with setup box it open any channel for 3second after that tv screen show message "DVB SSU MMIV Loader..plz take immediate action as soon as possible .

                It shold not be a major problem you sholud call tata sky helpdesk and they will definitly resolve your issue.

                  Free DTH with LG Lcd
                  Hello I am Iqbal singh dhillon, I bought a LG Lcd 26 From Punia Electronocs, Sri Ganganagar.in July 2009, according to the offer they provided me a coupon to get a free DTH connection of Tata Sky Airtel from Spectramind Marketing Pvt Ltd, Noida. For that you have to send the duly filled coupon, Bar code cutout from the TV carton, photocopy of the original bill and DD of Rs.99. I send them everything on 3 Aug 2009, through speedpost.
                  I Now its been more than 15 days I have not received my DTH Connection Set top box yet, and when I try to call them now the phone line [protected] is always busy.

                  I think one should not be panic about it. I think they work slow as they have many customers. Even me I did wait for a month and I did receive the setbox through courier. But dont know what to do next. May be they would come with setbox. I dont know. Well when I did contact today before I receive the setbox they told me that I would receive soon for sure and that I need to call the engineer. But confused which engineer. Anyway they are trying their best. But its lousy symstem they are making to get connected. They dont even call or message. they make customers worry whether they are true to their work or fraud. Any way Iqbal honey u will get your setbox soon. buy
                  Dont worry Iqbal. Jst keep calling to them, they will respond to u. In the past 2 days I did call them at least 30 times, it used to be voicemail and busy. At last around 2pm I managed to talk with one of the customer care. He assured me and I received the setbox through courier around 3pm, most probably they had already dispatched as I received a call from courier service around 9:30am which was a surprise call. I wondered who might have sent me parcel. Hence I thought earlier that spectramind people would come with all these things and connect it. Any way have faith on them now.

                    Before two years, I was viewing television through local cable network for 10 years. Services given by local cable operator were good. If any problem occurs, local cable operator repair the fault with 2 hours due to personal relation with him. Before two years, My father-in-law advised me to install tata sky for better video and audio quality.
                    I am having tata sky for last 2 years without any problems and I am happy with audio/video quality of tatasky. But since mornig of 9th august 2009, sunday I am not receiving tata sky services. My Subscriber id no is [protected].
                    Please help me to sort out the problems I'm facing with Tata sky which is described below.
                    .I'm getting a message "DVB SSU MMIV LOADER. New Software being downloaded, starting from 0%and upto 63% completed". If I keep waiting for update to finish it still show 0% completed which can reach upto 63 % and than restart from 0%? Software update mode is not completing to 100% . This action is repeating every now and then. I tried completely switch off the digicomp and switching on again. Still the same problem. I took help from tata sky helpline numbers with failure. I have also phoned customer care but fellow at customer care told me that he cannot do anything. He also told me that he is transfering phone to his senior but even after 12 minutes of silent gap nobody talked with me.
                    I have also registered complains with WO number; 1-[protected] and also WO number 1-[protected]. I have not watched TV for last one week from 9th august 2009 to 16th august 2009. Noone from tatasky came to my place during whole this week even with repeated request. Tatasky cannot rectify problem even after one week while similar problem can be rectified within two hours by local cable operator. In India all DTH service operators are bogus.
                    Now I have decided to discontinue Tata sky and also contacted local cable operator, so from tomorrow I can view television. Local cable operator solves problem in two hours but tatasky cannot solve even after one week. I wll never recommend any of my friends or relatives.
                    I will write my problem on various forum, blogs and social websites, in future no people will purchase DTH services, and also will not be fooled.
                    Overall Local cable operaor are cheaper than DTH and also their services are fast and good.
                    I have not received tata sky services from 9th august 2009 to 16th august 2009 for full one week. Then why tata sky charged more than 100 rupees from my subscription balance? First give services to customer. I am not happy with attitude of people of tata sky.

                    It seems that you are unfourtunate, it may be the problem of your set top box as mine and many of my friends using tata sky successfully downloaded the software.
                    I'm 1000% agree with this. If you see than you'll get me in all types of problems, i think all the customers facing most of the complaints launched here repeatedly.
                    PAY SPORT Channel

                    to see sport channel one has to pay money is very ridiculus and its one kind of black mailing or forcing to pay money.

                    They show many channel which of no use to people and unwillingly one has to see.

                    Tata being a very repute group of country who always care for people first then profit.

                    In India cricket is one game which every one sees and said channel should be free from all kind of regulations of blackmailing.

                    I trust Tata must look into the matter sympathetically.

                    Services point of view i have not faced much issues and it is average.

                      I had suscribed for one year from 18/10/08 and paid Rs 3050/-. But it has been disconnected on 15th August. Normally most of the private companies do similar unethical business. The local dealer does not listen. The call centre[protected] of tata sky is silent after one beep.

                      Such business will not take Tata sky any where.

                        I keep getting 3 sms everyday sent from TATASKY connections. It reads like this (Save!!! up to Rs 300 when you buy a tatasky connection for RS 1400 call [protected]) This number is in Pune and i live in Bangalore It is very irritating to keep getting sms like this. I have also complained to my service provider that is vodafone who tells me that that they can only block this number, although i have registerd for dnd and dnc it just does not seem to work. I feel that the govt is making a mockery of itself by allowing such customers to bother the general public. They would take an action only when it is been sent to some of the top officials in the country. It is not one but 3 every day.

                          My Subscriber id is available upon request if someone wants to do any checkup. I took a Tata Sky connection and the person who handed over the Tata sky box, took the full payment on 3rd of Aug 09 and made a phone call acting as if the Tata Sky technicians woud be at my home in 15 mins. I was impressed. However these 15 mins actually took 3 days of persual, starting from soft and ending up in harsh phone calls, to get the dish installed. The so called expert activated the connection, which got deactivated in another one day as the dealer had not put in the his share of 800/- RS. into my account of TATASKY. Till date - i.e 12 Aug 09 dealer has not been able to upload the money into my account blaming the Tata Sky system down, Jammu Bandh, Bank closure like excuses which has nothing to do with this.Eventually the issue turned out that he had to deposit cash with the main centre of Tata Sky. Moreover he went to deposit the money to the main branch only when I went to his shop and told him that I will not budge till he does the needful. Even after that nearly 18 hours have passeed but Tata Sky's system has not been fixed or my Digicomp is still deactivated. This dealer is Ravent Communication in Janipur - Jammu . Lousiest part of the entire deal is Tata Sky's regional centre Chandigarh. I call, them up and give them my international and National credit card nos. to charge up my account irrespective of the fact if the dealer is not able to do it let me pay from my pocket. Unfortunately, all 3 card transactions failed. I don't know if Tata Sky System is faulty or Indian Railways of some piddly Petrol Pump in Jammu are better where my cards work in one go. I am ashamed of the customer service of these lousy service providers in Jammu and India. Moreover I just think that in this era where India is a leading economy, telecom software / service provider, biggest telecom vendors worldwide, still the service industrs is in Shams. At every level there are excuses. And I think some wise man once said that - EXCUSES ARE NAILS USED TO BUILD HOUSES OF FAILURES

                            Sir, iam usung Tata sky service, during monsoon the signal is lost many times and for days i have to keep making complaints. now they say the set-top-box is faulty and will cost me 350 to replace and this is normal during monsoons. the tata servise engineer came and fixed the set-top-box and said that this is a defect in the box but i he said i have to pay Rs. 350 anyways! i said why? if it is manufacturing defect? he said company policy! then after arguing he said ok as good customer he will not charge. but then next day the charges of Rs. 350 has already been cut from the prepaid amount!!! why?. The reason i purchased the service is because sales pitch was the service will work in any weather anytime compared to cable tv. i now realize cable tv better in monsoon, although not clear picture but atleast it is working.

                              I have installed Tata Sky in last month. But there is signal failure from last 20 days. i have lodged complaints for 2-3 times engineer came and doing somthing . it will work for 1 hr and again got message of No Signal on screen. I am very much fedup with this . they are not respoding properly. they are giving telephone nos of engineer but neither will pick the phone. Today also My Tata Sky is not working.

                              Pl do needful and provide me the valid telephone no. of any senior officer customer care.

                              Dear sir, i think this website is a waste of time...
                              am complaining you about BAD SERVICE AND RESPONSE FROM TATASKY. but nothing is changing. i just dont know why you people are so weak. the whole indian government system is like this. when you have this website and accepting our complaints then why you are not acting on it.???? If you are little intrested about your work and if you really want to help the consumer then please please help me. My tata sky ID is [protected]. am not able to watch star one, star plus, zee, sony etc channels from last 20 days.even after paying the full money for it. when i call the customer care officer, they said i should give 350rs for the technical service provider. even if nothing is wrong in my digicomp or LNB.
                              but suddenly on 01 february these channels came. and the next day again the same problem. i had erlier complained you about this but nothing is changed. so please help me to get rid of this problem.
                              got tatasky installed thinking it to be the best which came out to be worst in case of reception. there is always a signal problem and after a complaint the engineer finally manages to make it after 2days and when the problem is solved and even in very little rains there is no signal. And when we complain this to a senior executive asking for the refund as i do wish to continue i get a reply from Mr. Sumeet saying that its your wish and that i get refund of only balace paid and not the settop box and i also been suggested to gift it to someone my box. this is no way to speak to a customer. if this goes on than i am sorry i have to do something serious about it.
                              Please do the needful as soon as possible or i have to get my complain registered & solved somewhere else.

                              TataSky — Bad customer service

                              I have shifted to my new flat and asked tatasky to shift the connection. The local engineer came & install the minidish in a wrong position where the waste pipeline was suppose to pass. then the Building plumber contractor asked us to change the position of the minidish by 1 ft. I had already paid Rs.350 for this relocation service. Then again I spoke to the Tatasky associate about this issue, they said they will again charge Rs.350. I asked for some concession as its their engineer's fault for neglecting this pipeline issue. taking out 700/- in a week for putting 4 screws is not worth. so thinking of discontinue with Tatasky.

                              High time TATA start living to your name!

                              Tata a huge name worldwide, on assurance of being one of the prestigious brands we took a connection of Tata Sky.
                              For 3 years we paid the bill in time made all recharges. On Saturday November 2010 my connection had some problem and I made a complaint.
                              Till now no one has called me back to find what the problem is? Every day I call the hopeless call center people who tell me that we cannot solve your problem as we have no set top box.

                              TATA Sky has not even bothered to know if my set top box need a change or it is only a minor technical issue. Only to save their paid trip they neither call back nor tell us a solution. All these insensitive people tell us is that we will not charge for the days that you cant watch Tata sky.

                              They will only tell us we will resolve it. If you ask when they say we do not know if you ask reimburse the money, they say NO. If you tell them give me in writing, they say NO.

                                I am a subscriber of TataSky (DTH) service for the past 10 months (Subscriber ID [protected] and regd. mob. no. [protected]) My Set top Box is defective for the past one week. They were willing to provide me immidiate service with some high charges but when I told them that my Set top Box is under warranty, they have started makind various excuses. As I have two Set Top Boxes (as two independent connections), they have stopped all services on my second set also (I dont know if it is a punishment to lodge a complaint during warranty period). I shall be highly thankful to you if helped. Indeed at present I am so fed up with their services that I do not want it any longer. If you can help me for unistallation of their DTH service and re-imbursing a valid amount, please do it.

                                tatasky vey bad services and no growthing in ap very very bad department in tatasky dth provides

                                I too am facing No signal problems for last one month and inspite of repeated complaints at customer care centre and internet - No resolution.
                                Difficult to believe such a response from brand TATA

                                  I am using tata sky Disc Tv for last 8 month, Now i am relocate tata Sky from new place for this the charge called by tata sky is 350. Service engg. came in my home and say some small part also changed and total charge become 600/- I agree this charge. But Tata Sky deduct 1000/- Rs. and he say i am install new Disc. While Disc are Old and i am already paid 8 month ago.

                                    My id number is [protected] On 19th May when my balance was Rs. 344 .50, I paid Rs. 2750 on the annual offer you made. But Instead of applying it as the previledged annual offer, you have been deducting Rs. 260 from the amount I paid till now, thereby causing me loss., although we had informed Tata sky about the annual payment made.
                                    We had been out of the country and on our return in the second week od July, after several unsuccessful phone calls we were able to get the Hyderabad help line and wasted money talking from chennai for more than 20 minutes., .I was not able to reach any Chennai call center or assisstance guys as promised. Ultimately Your Hyderabad office adjusted Rs. 1300 for 6 months as a favour, (as only that offer was available on 15 th July '09 ) and told me that i will be left with a balance of Rs 980.45 on 14 th January '10 . I am unable to send an sms bec I do not know how to send it and your sms number every time when someone helps me to send it comes back with a response saying ineligible request.
                                    Hence please send me an e mail to confirm my account balance. Also for your faults, the consumer should not be penelised. Hence make good the losses which I have incurred.
                                    I would be very thankful for an early reply.

                                    I shifted from my Palavakam residence to T"Nagar address, consiquently requested that the Sky Box fecility to be shifted to my new address on 8th Feb 2010. Your techenical staff acted quickly and I had this service from you immediately on that date. They informed me that the shifting charge of Rs. 350/- will be debited to my account with you. I reimbursed this amount on 12th Feb 2010. Till now I get on 'screen' of my TV the yellow letter signal informing that I am due. I am unable to understand this. I have your SMS for acknowledgement of receipt of this amount on my Cell phone. Why this could not be acted and rectified immediately? I will be deeply obliged to have your kind attention immediately. Thank you. Kindly rply in my e-mail address given above.

                                    Hi, The Republic TV channel is made visible for FTA Promo packs as part of the promotional offer.
                                    I had not included Republic TV in my selection of channels. I find now that it has now been forcibly introduced.
                                    I want it to be taken off immediately otherwise I shall be forced to change and seek the services of some other provider. ee[ in mind that I am one of your oldest clients.
