I was told by Maharashtra customer care service of airtel to apply on line for deactivation of the post paid connection but application form is not available on their web site. Kindly advise.

AirTel — Deactivation of Postpaid connection

I have been a prepaid customer for over 5 years. Recently, in the month of November 2010 i received a call from Airtel for change from Prepaid to Postpaid plan under a scheme by retaining the same number. I had submitted all the required documents for the new connection.

A few days later (5-6 days later), Ms.Prabha (Airtel employee), who was co-ordinating with me for the new connection had called me and wanted me to send the scanned copy of my driving licence. I had sent here the mail immidiately. Again, a few days later she had called me and requested to resend the mail as she had deleted/lost my mail. I had sent the mail once again.

She had not submitted my documents to the Head office and my line had been disconnected on 23 December 2010. I had tried reaching Ms. Prabha by here contact number about 30-40 times, but she had not picked my call. I had also spoken with 6 different Airtel employees (Call centre) and also visited the Airtel Showrom, but no one was able to provide me with my connection.

I am a Chartered Accountant, and due to the loss in connectivity i had to face lot of difficulties.

I hereby request you to provide justice by providing my excess balance in postpaid account and also compensate me for the fault of the Airtel employee and the uncalled disconnection of my number.

      Airtel — third class service/bogus

      I just think that airtel is 1 of the best cellular company of the world, but i was wrong.
      main 2 din se GPRS deactivate karne k liye message kar raha hoon.Par wo deactivate ho hi nahi raha.Call karne par bhi kai satisfi ho aisa answer nahi deta.Bahot BAKWAAS SERVICE "AIRTEL"de raha hai.customer care bhi kahate hai AAP K GPRS SERVICE BAND HAI. AAP 24 GHANTE AAD PHONE KARO.

      i THINK AIRTEL PE CASE KAR DETA HOON.

      I have requested Airtel formally that I have lost my SIM and want to stop the service for the last 6 months on 3 occasions and they are still billing me for the number. I just dont know what to do with this pathetic organisation
      Yes what Anitha saying is correct, for me also i am receving service message containing some abuse words like "nude", "sexy girls" etc., . If any school going or college going boys/girls receive message like this we cannot say anything, because with out subsribing these types of messages are coming. The wonderfull invention is being misused. Now i don't know how to stop this nusence.

      Airtel is misusing the telecom facilities and sending unwanted service messages without registering for it. I am receiving messages from 54321 daily esp. love messages without ever subscribing to it and on top of that Rupee 1 is being deducted from my account without my knowledge. I called their automated service number and Rs 10 got deducted from my account for 2 minutes o[censored]seless menu facility I received from thier automated message. Today I have subscribed to DND. Need to wait and watch whether that will work. Its high time that service provides esp. Airtel are taken to court and their illegal and irresponsible services are brought out open in public. Everyone I have heard from says that Airtel does bogus charging on customers for their services.
      Same problem here. These messages sometimes come when I'm expecting an important message. Upon opening them, I'm urged to download pictures of nude girls, etc. etc. I've already registered myself on the DND list but this apparently does not stop these vulgar ads. Thank God I'm not a susceptible kid! Need help on stopping these unsolicited ads.
      Airtel requires some sort of legal action like PIL.Without subscribing they deduct money and send messages which results dispute between husband and wife. It is an open secret that Airtel makes alot of bogus charges to customers without their knowledge.
      I did try to stop this service by sending sms on *121# and pressing 5. It did give message "done". I was relieved that I got rid of this nuisance. But lo ! it starts again.
      10 messages/day and 2 calls/day.
      What shall I do ?

      Even i'm getting same kind of messages, i have registered several complaints to their customer care department and also raised the issue with nodal officer and appellate officer of Airtel but the issue is pending since 9th Sept 2010. Every forth or fifth day a person will call from appellate and will become the victim of my shoutings :). I have totally lost hope on Airtel to resolve my issue.

      I have applied for mobile poratbility . But from airtel customer sevice there was a call telling that there is some technical problem thats why it will take som time for MNP .And this problem is with other network operator also But it has been a trend now by airtel to not allow their customer to go any other service. They are not able to stop the customer .because as of now lakhs of people are going to other networks because of their third calss service as of they are activating any of the service on their own and earing a lot.

      This is to inform you that if with in 7 days if the mnp is done from airtel then i have to go to consumer court harasing customers mentally . as they have deducted s lot of money from my mobile without my permision by activating model wap games etc as i have never use this type of service in my mobile .And the compensation amount i will mention in the next letter .And the consumer complaints you can see see on google just typing AIRTEL THID CLASS SERVICE .You can see it how they are deducting the money with out customer information by activating any service and also not refunding that amount

      Dut to the third class service provided by airtel I have just appied for number portability.Instead of repeatedly telling your customer care about balance deduction from last three months there is no action taken . and balance deduction is continously done by airtel in the name of games, model wap and all that type of stuff. And the response from your customer care is that you have clicked on the link and thats why your balance has been deducted. and we will not give th refund.

      Ok but as soon as i have registered for MNP There is a call from your customer that they are ready to give refund.and after giving refund the same procedure is repeated.And the people which u have appointed as a customer care behaves like they are superiorand disconnects the phone.they doesnt care whether the customer will go or not.

      if you think by doing advertisement with film stars company business will grow then your are wrong .First improve your service and then only you can go ahead.

      After applying MNP .Now as time of 7 days is coming near, As per their norms of third class service airtel is trying to deduct the balance from the mobile and making the balance in minus so they can stop from MNP.As i have written a lot about airte in net, in airtel third class service sight and to consumer court also .But the process is not stopped .

      And i dont think they will stop cheating people.Even writing 10 times they never replies also.

      Airtel — receiving messages against services which I have requested to block

      Hi,

      I am using [protected] since last 3 years. recently I had requested to block all my VAS including Airtel Live, GPRS and other every single VAS.

      I had called for this first on 19th May to place this request and reverse the charges for the same. I have done followup call on 24th May, 7 June, 9th June, 26th June. I spoke to executives named Kavita which reversed my charges lavied against these services but not the taxes.

      Even after repeated requests, i am receiving messages from 54321 saysing "your xxxxx subscription has been renewed and you have been charged for Rs. 5". I spoke Sagar Sawant in mid of June to get this service blocked and do the reversal of charges. I was assure by him that such messages would be stopped but it seems Airtel is not bothered to honor such request even after repetative requests and spending rather wasting so much of time an energy.

      This is simply rediculous. I was suggested to wait till my bill gets generated and place a request to reverse these charges. this is simply taking a toll on me.

      only i was getting some pathetic answers and not the resolution.

      hence, hope some respective/responsible authority would look into this issue religiously.

        Hello,

        I wanted to have a boradband connection for personl use at Malviya Nagar. On airtel website one plan is mentioned of 649/- . It includes 100 calls free per month. Spped is 256. When I asked airtel executive he said this plan is not for south delhi. They have similar plan which is 799/-. Speed is same (256 kbps) but free calls is not available per month. So I need to pay 150/- extra and also no free calls per month. Is it leagel where company has general plan but do not give in specific location within a circle. I asked this to their call center but he says server does not support this plan in south delhi. Then I asked their manager he says this is company policy and website has wrong information. I asked why they do not remove wrong information from website. he says this will be removed but will take time. About time limit they do not know.

        Please help me in getting 649 plan in Malviya nagar.

        Its very stupid on the part of Airtel to discriminate in charging more for the same plan in south Delhi.
        On enquiring the (unofficial) answer I got from one company official for this was that they are doing it because the company thinks that South Delhi residents have higher capacity to pay, so they are making them pay more.
        This one act on the part of the company is going to ruine their goodwill.Airtel is taking its loyal customers in south delhi for granted.Many people in South Delhi are not aware of this fact but its just a matterof time when this spreads.
        Whenever I get some suitable alternative I am going to get rid of Airtel from my house.

        The resentment for this discrimation is spreading across South Delhi.

        I know lots of Airtel subscribers in South Delhi who are fealing cheated because they have to shell out Rs.250/-p.m. extra as compared to rest of Delhi for the same internet services.

        Lets hope that Airtel officials wake up fast to set the things right before further damage to their goodwill takes place.

          Take AIRTEL prepaid only, never POSTPAID.
          If POSTPAID, never activate wap.

                Solution:-

                I was getting same Subscription Text based Message and losing 10 Rs from my balance everyday.After that i did the following procedure and got relief,
                1) First Write "Stop" and Send to Airtel 121
                2) Immediately u will get reply from Airtel and it will Show what are the actived services in your mobile, and ask to reply which services requested to stop.Example:1.Hello Tune 2.Bhakti bhab
                3) U reply and type "1" to Stop Hello tune or "2 " for bhakti bhab
                4)Again u will receive one confermation sms and reply to them that stop ur subscription.

                              I am getting SMS from 64611010 'Thanks for using subscription service on airtel WAP. You've charged Rs10.
                              I have been charged Rs. 60/- by Airtel's funzone thing; I have spoken to the Airtel customer care - on the first day they said that they'ld refund the money - but next day onwards they have been redirecting my call to a machine and then disconnecting it.

                              I have written to the Nodal office about this, but no response from them either.

                              It's such a shame that a company as big Airtel needs to steal money from its customer's accounts in order to sustain its business.

                                i am airtel distributor.my AYYAN MOBILES MAC number is [protected] FOC.
                                sterday night i lost my mobile([protected]).so for that i made a call to TSM GURU-Erode District(tn)and asked the region of my mobile tower but they not respond me well sir..They asked me to submit File copy from police station..but police not providing the copy..Really i felt very bad about airtel TSM GURU GROUP(Erode district).
                                I am distributor but not get valid information from them.then how airtel customer wil get ??????
                                Suppose in my situation any of customer suffer mean how can i help them???
                                finally one thing sir, i[censored] dont want then cancel my distributor….
                                Please take immediate action in this fault….

                                  Rekha H here ...I had lost my cell and hence wanted to block my sim. I called up customer cre and to my shock i see that there is no way that u can block a prepaid airtel!!!disgusting. To my anger it also fuled that the people there themselves dont have any clarity as to the procedure for filing a complaint even if it was possible. Then i tried calling enquiry or greiviences to the customer care, no the reply came: some time that no does not exists, some time caLL recieved but when i am choosing option 9 for talk to customer care executive the call disconnect or reply comes check the number you had dialed.I really dot know what is it? There is no way to block a sim?

                                    Airtel — Account closure delay and wrong billed amont

                                    I had a connection[protected] AP no) and after I got shifted to B'lore,put a request to closure of my connection after clearing the outstanding amount and they accpeted the form for the same and Airtel office guys told me, it will be done in 1 week of time and I will be getting a call if there is any problem with my closure process....But stragely they have deducted Rs 1230( I had ECS from credit card) for entire month the phone was in switched off mode...When I contacted them..now they are saying that they didn't even recive the application form for the closure. How strange and rediculous this is....Not only this but I had lot of billing issues also previously...So don't go for AIRTEL.....Wondering how this has got 1 million customers....

                                      I CONTINUSLY TOLD TO CITY CENTRE COUSTOMER (AIRTEL) BUT THEY DON'T HERE MY COMPLAIN FOR THIS REASON.
                                      WHY THIS IS GOING I DON'T KNOW ? BUT I AM VERY SAME TO SAY THAT I DON'T EXPECT FROM THAT TYPE OF FEEDBACK FROM YOUR TELECOM SERVICES.

You 've been charged Rs 10.
                                        i also complained to air tel costumer care with compliant no ;[protected].
                                        since i send messsage of decivation and having charged at 3/- for each message, stilll deduction among is inconvience.
                                        propably am an advocate my contact number with this mobile number no;- [protected]. deactive the same airtel wap test based package.
