      This is the copy of the complaint letter i had forwarded to bharti airtel authorities but they have not resolved the matter till now.

      Sub:Harassment of a consumer by the company (Bharti Airtel Ltd).
      Respected Sir,
      I, Syed Taqi Akbar, resident of Lucknow, had subscribed to your Broadband service on 17th November 2008.In the subscription form I had chosen the Unlimited 1499 512 Kbps plan.After that I received a confirmatory call from your side, informing me that I have chosen the 499 combo plan.Immediately, I objected to it and informed your executive that I have chosen the Unlimited 1499 512 Kbps plan.I asked the executive of the confirmatory call to rectify the mistake made by your company immediately.The executive took my complaint and gave me a complaint number.I even told the executive that either rectify your mistake and give me the plan which I had chosen or disconnect the service.I made numerous complaints everyday and the details of the complaints are as follows:

      Please note that in all my complaints I had clearly mentioned that I had selected Unlimited 1499 512 Kbps plan and not 499 combo plan.I asked the executives to rectify the mistake immediately or disconnect the service.
      But to my utter disbelief, I received a bill of Rs.9000 under the 499 combo plan.I will be unable to pay this bill.Also, keep in mind, that the mistake was clearly from your side.And inspite of repeated complaints the company did’nt rectify the mistake.
      I would like to mention some important facts which highlight the negligence of your company “Bharti Airtel Limited” and also exposes the pathetic treatment you give to your customers.
       I had selected the Unlimited 1499 512 Kbps plan in the presence of your Sales Officer, Mr.Anand Kumar Shukla.(Cell no-[protected]).
       When I received the confirmatory call informing me of the 499 combo plan, I immediately asked them to rectify the mistake.What is the use of the confirmatory call if your company imposes the plan of your choice on the consumer?
       When your hardware engineer, Mr.Fahad (Cell no-[protected]) came for installation, he showed me the form in which the plan selected was ‘Unlimited 1499 512 Kbps’. Then how can your company change the plan to 499 combo plan? Is it to harass the consumer?
       As mentioned earlier, I made numerous complaints but what was the effect?Instead of rectifying the mistake, your company imposed a bill of Rs.9000 under the plan that I had not selected.This is a case of clear harassment of the consumer by your company.
      Please note that I have been subjected to intense harassment and have decided to approach the Consumer Forum if the matter is not resolved by your company within 48 hours.

        I AM FROM BANGALORE, I PURCHASED AIRTEL PREPAID SIMCARD FIVE DAYS BEFORE SO FOR NOT ACTIVATED
        I CALLED TO AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE CENTER TWENTY TIMES, THEY ASK TO CONTACT DEALERSHOP, IF I CALL TO DEALER HE ASK ME TO CONTACT AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE OFFICE. SO BOTH BLAME EACH OTHER AND PLAY GAMES WITH ME AND TOTALLY IRRITATING AND WASTE MY PRECIOUS TIME. MINE NO. IS [protected]. pls anybody give idea where and whom i have contact finally for justice. so my sugesstion to all is dont buy airtel simcard in bangalore as staffs are too lassy, jokers and innocent in attend the customer problem.

        Airtel — useless service activation

        Always unnecessary services are activated on my no [protected] without my permission and i am charged for them.
        And now talking to a customer executive is also chargeable, whenever i call customer care, i have always been kept on hold for long time.
        Like this airtel is making money and looting its customers.

          I paid Rs 40/- for booster pack recharge to a dealer called Mehta fancy Stores at Ambattur Chennai-600053. I received message from Airtel that your recharge is not successfull. Trans id no. is[protected]. dated[protected].
          I asked the dealer to pay back my money. He spoke to Airtel and told me
          your booster pack is charged. Airtel is charging Rs 1/- per call instead of
          Rs 0.5/- I am asking Airtel to take action on Mehta.

            I took airtel broadband plan and there was some bill due because I left the place and I paid the bill and requested to disconnect and they said they will disconnect that and now I am getting calls from their customer care that My bill amount is due and Now I am now not putting up at that Place and already requested to disconnect 5 months back.Their so called retrieval experts start calling with out knowing any thing.

            Sub:- Disconnection of my Broad Band Internet connection – Reg.
            Sir,
            I had requested through your Customer Care Telephone in the April, 2010 to disconnect my Broad Band Internet connection provided by you due to some personal problems. I do not require the connection. I was told from your office that the connection will be disconnected within 2-3 days in April, 2010.

            There after I had reminded you through Airtel Service request No. 33662454 dated 10.06.2010, 34171602 on 22.06.2010 and again no. 34429852 dated 29.06.2010. I had also faxed a letter to you dated 11.06.2010 to disconnect my Broad Band connection. My Account No. is 14111406 and Telephone No. is[protected].

            It seems that you have not disconnected the internet connection and send a bill dated 19th May, 2010 for an amount of Rs.455/- for the period 17.4.2010 to 16.5.2010.

            Since I have not used the Internet since middle of April, 2010 and requested you to disconnect and your office has informed me that disconnection will be done within 2-3 days in the second week of April, 2010 it may not be possible for me to make any payment. You are once again requested not to send any more bills and harass me.

            Airtel / Broadband — Requested for line Disconnection

            I have requested for my Broadband & airtel line to disconnct on Oct 16th 2010 w.e.f immediately.I have called many times to Airtel Customer Care and also mailed to 'nodel.[protected]@airtel.in'; 'appellate.[protected]@airtel.in' but I could see it is still ACTIVE and also bill amount is getting increased month by month.

            I have registered compliant for my airtel broad band connection. It is not working and i registered it with 198. First without checking what is the problem they gave me the solution that some one will come and fix my problem and gave me the service number 40042212 and said by 2pm you will get your problem fixed as your line has a problem.

            I have been calling Airtel customer service to know my status every time after taking my credentials they disconnect my number, i tried from my friends numbers then also after following there call flow they disconnected me.

            I tried to reach Airtel complaints and customer for this but no hope. Airtel is becoming pathetic services day by day and they are moving away from the customer centric. Looking ahead to move to another ISP

            And now again they have provided me afresh reference number 40213706.Let's see how much time they takes for resolution or they close this too by entering wrong information as above.

            I am using Airtel broadband internet connection for past 4 months . Having said this, i have been receiving Incorrect persons e-Bill sent to my mail id for the past 3 months and the hardcopy is not being received.

            All my complaints to [protected]@airtel, nodalsouth, appellete authority has gone in vain along with their promises. Its very sad that besides their confirmation, the issue still continues. I presume there is nil customer care who are acting properly and diligently.

            Even I faced the same issue. I paid the bill and asked for disconnection but I received calls for atleast 5 month asking for about 5K /- due.
            As we relocated our house and no airtel broadband is available in the shifted area, we requested to disconnect the line and paid all the dues...the person from collection came to our new residence address and collected the dues and they said they will disconnect.
            Now I am getting calls from their customer care that My bill amount is due. This happened by the end of Dec 2014...they waited till the amount to be accumulated and giving me pressure to settle the dues, ...This is not fair., ...

            I am using airtel broadband since last 15 years.
            since last two years i have been using six month advance payment plan. I have been complaining this since last two times that my six months plan revoked automatically to the monthly basis once it is due without any notification.
            Since last three months I am getting a call for the bill payment and I have been patiently explaining the same stuff to the caller person and requesting them to record the call and convey the problem to the senior authority who can solve or guide the issue.

            Even though I was not happy with this kind of service but I was hopeful that one day Airtel will solve the issue and this customer and service provide relation will be on right track.
            But today I have received the call from one of Airtel money collector and which was not in a good manner by abusing words.

            Even He threaten to get into my house when only ladies were at home. now this is a very serious issue. If that person will step into my house or call then Airtel will be responsible from onwards. I do not like to say in this manner but what Airtel has done to the person who is using connection this long time, I have no regrets of saying that.

            I will pay the bill once the issue is solved but will not continue this relation. I will also see that this matter go into public.

            You please officially disconnect the connection. There are plenty service provider who are ready to provide connection with my track record.

            I am posting the complaint here as last resort to get my Airtel broadband Number: [protected] disconnected. I have called 121 Airtel customer care ample times to get the disconnection request considered and processed. Every time I call, I get one of the below response:
            -Why do you want to disconnect? we will waive off your 1 month's charge.
            -Please do not disconnect, you are our valued customer.
            -Please dial in again with right options selected for broadband.
            -Please dial in the number I am giving you. You are in Maharashtra circle and the call has come to Hyderabad (though 121 is central number and I did not opt for Hyderabad).
            -Transferring the call to supervisor and then endless waiting.

            I am a happy customer of Airtel post paid mobile service and Airtel DTH. But I cannot say the same thing for Airtel broadband connection after going through all these. To be honest, the kind of customer treatment I am receiving has raised a doubt in my mind for Airtel brand.

            I am unable to understand what is so difficult in accepting a legitimate request to get the connection deactivated while I had also cleared all my dues in time. When I called to 121 on 13 July 2019, I was said that the request is taken. When I asked for the request number, I was been said, "Request is in process, once accepted, a request number will be generated and shared to you on SMS".

            No word since then until I received ebill in email trail. Called back 121 again to register the issue and request for deactivation. I was once again responded with not so specific answers and was asked to call on some other number. Customer service representative name was "Usha". This time I refused to disconnect the call until I get a request number. [protected] was shared to me as the request ID. It was also said that I will receive a callback in next 24 hours. Nothing happened.

            I have also dropped and email to [protected]@airtel.in, but the email bounced off.

            Please note, I have always paid my bills in time for the services I have used. I have tried my best to get the connection deactivated. I am not going to pay any bill sent to me for your broadband connection with me as I am not using the service since 13th July 2019.

                  I m having one Airtel Prepaid connection. +[protected] my main motto to buy this is only for “Mobile Office”. But on last Friday 19th Dec’08 around 22:30 on same day my Bal is around 60/- I have act “MO” by *567# and it’s activate. I have received Sms for the same & my 15/- will be debited from my Prepaid A/C. But while connect with my Laptop it shows Error “Packet Data Not Available”. Then I made call to 121 around 22:45 & the agent guide me manual settings for my phone & it’s done Thanks. Also I need setting for my Laptop, and then he was told me for this u need to call 12140. I made call to 12140 around 23:10 but I m not get connected with the same, and the IVR says Write AIRTEL & send it to 121. After this again I made call to 121 to know about what is this going on why I am not get connected with 12140 but also I am not get connected to 121 also & same the IVR says Write AIRTEL & send it to 121.

                  Around 23:30 I made 121 from my postpaid connection for Laptop settings & the postpaid agent inform me that you need to made call on 12140 from prepaid card only then & then only you get proper information about the same. Can you transfer my call to Prepaid dept. Agent says No.

                  So, that is not possible for my prepaid because when I made 121 or 12140 the same thing I heard Write AIRTEL & send it to 121.

                  On 20th Dec’08. I visit Bharti house Ashram Road, Ahmedabad. Around 18:05 At Bharti house when I entered the last token no was displayed on board was 203 & my token no is 211 waiting more then 45 min. then I meet Mr.Sandeep I ask him about my 121 services why I am unable to call 121 or 12140 Customer care? What Mr.Sandeep replies me that you have dialed more then 30 times to 121? And that is reason your 121 services are bard. Is it so!! If I dial more then 30 times to 121 then my CC services are bard??
                  Mr.Sandeep: Yes,
                  Then please let me know how many times & when I made call to CC!!
                  Mr.Sandeep: how many time you have dial 121 that detail will be not update in our system.
                  Is it so!! I know I haven’t made more then 7 times, Also need to know when I bought the Airtel Prepaid card there is on CAF need to fill up by Customer that also I have filled up in that CAF. I want to know have you mention in CAF if I made more then 30 times to 121 then my 121 services are bard??

                  After a week on 27th Dec’08 when I Check my prepaid balance it shows 0.00/- how?? & also I am not able to make call on 121 or 12140.

                  So kindly explain me some quarry which I have.

                  • How many times I made call on 121 or 12140 from I bought the new prepaid???
                  • Is there any line in CAF if customer calls up to customer care more then 30 times the services are bard??
                  • If yes then show that line where is it & on which page??
                  • If no then why my customer care 121 or 12140 services are bard??
                  • As Postpaid CC informed on 19th Dec’08. you need to make call from only & only Prepaid card then you get settings for your Laptop, just tell me at night 23:30 where I have to go & what he is going to tell does he think twice before he speck!!!

                    AirTel — Deactivation of Postpaid connection

                    I have been a prepaid customer for over 5 years. Recently, in the month of November 2010 i received a call from Airtel for change from Prepaid to Postpaid plan under a scheme by retaining the same number. I had submitted all the required documents for the new connection.

                    A few days later (5-6 days later), Ms.Prabha (Airtel employee), who was co-ordinating with me for the new connection had called me and wanted me to send the scanned copy of my driving licence. I had sent here the mail immidiately. Again, a few days later she had called me and requested to resend the mail as she had deleted/lost my mail. I had sent the mail once again.

                    She had not submitted my documents to the Head office and my line had been disconnected on 23 December 2010. I had tried reaching Ms. Prabha by here contact number about 30-40 times, but she had not picked my call. I had also spoken with 6 different Airtel employees (Call centre) and also visited the Airtel Showrom, but no one was able to provide me with my connection.

                    I am a Chartered Accountant, and due to the loss in connectivity i had to face lot of difficulties.

                    I hereby request you to provide justice by providing my excess balance in postpaid account and also compensate me for the fault of the Airtel employee and the uncalled disconnection of my number.

Upon opening them, I'm urged to download pictures of nude girls, etc. etc. I've already registered myself on the DND list but this apparently does not stop these vulgar ads. Thank God I'm not a susceptible kid! Need help on stopping these unsolicited ads.
                        Airtel requires some sort of legal action like PIL.Without subscribing they deduct money and send messages which results dispute between husband and wife. It is an open secret that Airtel makes alot of bogus charges to customers without their knowledge.
                        I did try to stop this service by sending sms on *121# and pressing 5. It did give message "done". I was relieved that I got rid of this nuisance. But lo ! it starts again.
                        10 messages/day and 2 calls/day.
                        What shall I do ?

But from airtel customer sevice there was a call telling that there is some technical problem thats why it will take som time for MNP .And this problem is with other network operator also But it has been a trend now by airtel to not allow their customer to go any other service. They are not able to stop the customer .because as of now lakhs of people are going to other networks because of their third calss service as of they are activating any of the service on their own and earing a lot.

                        This is to inform you that if with in 7 days if the mnp is done from airtel then i have to go to consumer court harasing customers mentally . as they have deducted s lot of money from my mobile without my permision by activating model wap games etc as i have never use this type of service in my mobile .And the compensation amount i will mention in the next letter .And the consumer complaints you can see see on google just typing AIRTEL THID CLASS SERVICE .You can see it how they are deducting the money with out customer information by activating any service and also not refunding that amount

                        Dut to the third class service provided by airtel I have just appied for number portability.Instead of repeatedly telling your customer care about balance deduction from last three months there is no action taken . and balance deduction is continously done by airtel in the name of games, model wap and all that type of stuff.                         I am using [protected] since last 3 years. recently I had requested to block all my VAS including Airtel Live, GPRS and other every single VAS.

                        I had called for this first on 19th May to place this request and reverse the charges for the same. I have done followup call on 24th May, 7 June, 9th June, 26th June. I spoke to executives named Kavita which reversed my charges lavied against these services but not the taxes.

                        Even after repeated requests, i am receiving messages from 54321 saysing "your xxxxx subscription has been renewed and you have been charged for Rs. 5". I spoke Sagar Sawant in mid of June to get this service blocked and do the reversal of charges. I was assure by him that such messages would be stopped but it seems Airtel is not bothered to honor such request even after repetative requests and spending rather wasting so much of time an energy.

                        This is simply rediculous. I was suggested to wait till my bill gets generated and place a request to reverse these charges. this is simply taking a toll on me.

                        only i was getting some pathetic answers and not the resolution.

                        hence, hope some respective/responsible authority would look into this issue religiously.

                          Hello,

                          I wanted to have a boradband connection for personl use at Malviya Nagar. On airtel website one plan is mentioned of 649/- . It includes 100 calls free per month. Spped is 256. When I asked airtel executive he said this plan is not for south delhi. They have similar plan which is 799/-. Speed is same (256 kbps) but free calls is not available per month. So I need to pay 150/- extra and also no free calls per month. Is it leagel where company has general plan but do not give in specific location within a circle. I asked this to their call center but he says server does not support this plan in south delhi. Then I asked their manager he says this is company policy and website has wrong information. I asked why they do not remove wrong information from website. he says this will be removed but will take time. About time limit they do not know.

                          Please help me in getting 649 plan in Malviya nagar.

                          Its very stupid on the part of Airtel to discriminate in charging more for the same plan in south Delhi.
                          On enquiring the (unofficial) answer I got from one company official for this was that they are doing it because the company thinks that South Delhi residents have higher capacity to pay, so they are making them pay more.
                          This one act on the part of the company is going to ruine their goodwill.Airtel is taking its loyal customers in south delhi for granted.Many people in South Delhi are not aware of this fact but its just a matterof time when this spreads.
                          Whenever I get some suitable alternative I am going to get rid of Airtel from my house.

                                        I was travelling in Sapt kranti express to Motihari and while goinmg towards the destination I found that the train stopped at a location called sugauli and it stopped in between the railway tracks without a platform now I would like to ask a question that in case any handicapped person was travelling how would he get out of the train - this is criminal and it soughts for an serious action - I would also be complaing in Baroda house for the same
