sir, I was travelling from kallakurichi to cuddalore on 22.10.2010.( bus no: TN 32 N 3240.starting time 8.35pm at kallakurichi) when the bus crossed gedilam station, the conductor asked me to get up and go to someother seat.i was sitting in seat no;1.I know very well that was not the conductor seat.conductor seat was located at the last .I checked then.so,I refused to get up.But the driver scolded me badly by using vulgar words.The conductor forced me to change my seat.I was shocked and depressed very much.Till now I can not concentrate on my work.will TNSTC conduct an enquiry and take action on these people?

i asked him WILL IT GO TO BHUVANAGIRI, HE SAID NO AND SAY SOME WRONG WORDS. i again insisted him, but he started abusing me and he was dare enough to say note this (Bus No. TN-32, N-3165).

i would require progress for this complaint also.
i am ready to attend any calls to my mobile regarding this complaint...

    TODAY I WAS TRAVELED BY A BUS, TN-21 N-1311,FROM ARAKKONAM TO PUTTUR AT EARLIER THEY TOLD AT ARAKKONAM IT WILL GO VIA NAGARI,PUTTUR AFTER PASSING TIRUTTANI THEY TOLD IT WILL GO PUTTUR BYPASS BUT THEY COLLECTING ACTUAL MONEY TO ENTER INTO PUTTUR TOWN.
    EVERYDAY THEY ARE DOING LIKE THIS,WHY, OTHER PRIVATE BUSES ARE ENTERING INTO PUTTUR TOWN,THESE CONDUCTORS ARE DOING LIKE THIS AT MIDNIGHTS ALSO THEY DOING LIKE THIS.
    FOR THAT THEY ARE TELLING THEIR OFFICIALS ARE GIVING INSTRUCTIONS LIKE THAT.WHY THEY ARE RUNNING BUSES FOR THEIR SALARY ONLY OR PUBLIC SERVICE.

    From T.V Malai to Bangalore buses are not stopping in singarapatti, uthangari, samalpatti, mathur and krishnagiri.

    If buses are empty also they are not pickup the passengers. They want take ticket from either bangalore or T.V Malai to vis versa, and sit in the seet till the destination. they don't want to take ticket in between stops and they are not stopping the buses. If we asked them, they are telling we dont have permissions to stop and pick up the passengers,

    They are not going to krishnagiri bus stand, they are stoping in bypass only.

    Whether this complaint will use or not depends on you only. Otherwise no use of this kind of complaint.
    am travel from arakkonam to puttur the bus is not enter in to the puttur town. bus is stopped in bypass, am asking to the conductor y the bus is not entered in to the puttur town that time he talk vulgarly that time my mind was disappointed. the TNSTC & APSRTC busses not running for public service

      This Organization called SETC, runs all old-condemned buses.
      NOISE/SOUND, BED-BUGS, NO-A/C, IMPROPER-SEAT, NO PROPER SUSPENSION, RUDE-BEHAVIOR, CORRUPTION.... what not; the list goes on & on.

      Only thing is the FARE is CHEAPEST of all. That's the only reason why people are travelling in these buses. otherwise nobody will ever travel in these buses.

      Once I travelled from Koyambedu(Chennai) to Bangalore without reservation.
      after standing continuously for 4 hrs., They have put one bus at 11:30 pm as special service charging Rs.295/- as against Rs. 240/-(normal fare). and i[censored] don't reserve in advance, the conductor takes Rs. 50 to 100/- as bribe for provide a seat to you.

      I think they don't even check the bus's condition before giving it.
      the bus was totally condemned; fit for selling it to Iron-Scrap-market.
      fortunately though i got some seat in the middle, but i could not sit in the bus at all.
      I was always in the air. the bus was jumping like any thing even on the good-Hosur road. think what would have been the condition of poor people sitting in back-seats.

      The suspension was gone in the bus & they have given it directly without checking that.(May be that's the reason why they call it "AIR-BUS" :-))
      God only knows what happens if they don;t check the Brakes of the vehicle & give it to service directly.

      By the time we reached Bangalore it was 6:30 AM morning our back-bones were gone(I think somebody would have got their back-bones fractured also) & we felt v.v.tired, because of no sleep in the entire journey.

      I don't know why those fellows give such buses in service; they are only to be sold to scrap.

      I don't know whether the authorities will take any action on these complaints.

      When one sees such incidents/activities, one will know how corruption & carelessness has imbibed into India, at each level(even at lowest level).

      Only God can only help.

        Bed Bugs

        I would like to raise a formal complaint with SETC about Bed bugs on their busses. If they are not able to control the Bed bugs in their busses better they take back their service.

        I had been repeatedly informing the conductors of the busses and no response till date.

        My sincere advice to every single person to avoid taking up SETC busses for transport....

        I want to share a worst experience which i had with SETC reservation counter people.I went to book ticket on 8-Oct-2010 for 7-Nov-2010 from Mayiladuthurai to Bangalore.The reservation starts from 08-Oct-2010 for that as they will start to reserve tickets prior to 30 days.There were lot of queues for Chennai,Bangalore,Coimbatore etc.I was standing there from 6.30 AM and there were only 10 people standing in Bangalore queue and am the only girl in the queue.As they had only a single computer and printer there it was taking long time.The guy who is doing reservation job is continuosly doing for chennai but not for Bangalore..Like if he reserves 10 tickets for Chennai he is doing one for bangalore.So by the time he got my form he told like Ladies reservation got over so i cant book a ticket.He was very rude.Really i cant understand how he said like that.Is there any reservation in bus specific to gents and ladies?I have never heard of it.May be if seat no-3 has been booked by a lady then preferably they will give seat no-4 also for a lady to ensure safe travel.But during urgent needs all we cant expect that.So i told the guy like even if you reserve a seat that is next to a gent,its not a problem for me.I can adjust it as am in a need of ticket.Then he told me like its impossible to book tickets like that and forced me to write a gent name in reservation form with my age and get it reserved.Also he made me terrified by saying if conductor is asking something regarding this reservation means i shouldn't blame him.Really i got much irritated by the way he behaved.I think his name is Mr.Ramalingam.

        Now am confused whether the conductor will allow me to travel as the ticket got reserved in the name of a gent.

        I want to make few points.

        Why cant the government take steps to open two or more reservation counters or atleast to provide more computers for reservation?Atleast you can offer Online reservation service through credit cards like KSRTC,APSRTC and other travels.We can get rid of this difficulties caused by the reservation agents in SETC.
        The person working in SETC doing online reservation is talking as if he owns the SETC and it is his private property.He behaved in a impolite manner.He used unparlimentary words that I cant mention here.His response was not proper.

        Please let me know whether i can travel on 7-Nov-2010 with that ticket as its booked in the name of a gent.Please do the needful to avoid this sort of problems in future.

        I was traveling from Coimbatore to Bangalore every week end in KSRTC with the same cost as SETC their timings, politeness of driver and conductor is very good . But In SETC only dogs can travel

        This week I was traveling in a busTN 01 N 7441, from coimbatore on 13/11/2011. Only driver and conductor were sleeping.Nobody in the bus slept.

        Full of bugs, I cant close windows, driver and conductor are not at all polite and they are not at all switching off any lights but driver and conductor were sleeping and using cell phones full night

        Finally I am telling IN SETC only dogs can travel human beings cant travel

        You should take necessary action against drive and conductor

          The TNSTC bus from Gopi to Madurai starts at 6.30 am at Tiruppur and its destination is Arapalayam bus stand Madurai. The ticket fare for express buses is Rs. 56/- upto Arapalayam bus stand. The bus conductor in TN 33 N 2490 refuses to give the ticket at this rate and issues ticket upto Mattudhavani bus stand @ Rs. 60/- being the fare till Mattudhavani bus stand. While enquired the conductor says the bus will not go to Mattudhavani but will collect fare till there.

          This is the second time I travelled in the same bus and excess fare collected. I am a frequent traveller and it is the only bus which does this excess fare charging

          We would like to give a severe warning to this conductor and his officials to correct themselves. If not suitable legal actions will be initiated for which a team o[censored]s are preparing

            TNSTC Very Poor maintenance

            The Ultra Delux bus running from Salem to Ernakulam has lot of bedbugs The cst of the ticket is very high but it not even maintained to control the bugs. Lot of chidren suffered a lot while travelling in these buses. Earlier, this bus will have TV but not in running condition. I heard the same situation in other UD buses operating to Bangalooru....

            I TRAVELLED IN TAMILNADU STATE TRANSPORT CORPORATION ON 12/09/2010 FROM MADURAI TO BANGLORE

            NAME -MANIKANDAN & SUGANTHI(SEAT NO-3 & 4) @9 PM

            WE HAD BEEN OFFERED A VEHICLE WHICH IS NOT PROPERLY MAINTAINED

            AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT ALE TO GO MORE THAN A SPEED OF 30 KM/HR AFTER SALEM

            THE VEHICLE HAS TO REACH BANGLORE @ 5 AM BUT ACTUALLY REACHED @ 9 AM

            WE COULD NOT GO TO THE OFFICE THGAT DAY


            THE DRIVERS WERE HELPLESS AS THEY TOLD NOTHING CAN BE DONE AS THEIR MANAGEMENT SUPPORT IS NOT THERE

            THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I AM FACING THE PROBLEM THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURED A MONTH BACK WHEN I TRAVELLED FROM BODINAYAKANUR TO BANGLORE


            PLEASE LOOK INTO THE MATTER AS IT MIGHT SPOIL THE REPUTATION OF TAMIL NADU TRANSPORT VEHICLES

            Hi,

            I'm travelling from sriperumbudur to Mahindra city near chengalpattu daily, , i need to catch 82c(from thiruvallur) to reach my office but the drivers and conductors were not maintaining the timings, , , sometimes the buses are not at all coming we are waiting in the bus stop more than hours and the bus comes after hours, , , obviously it will be rush, , we can't get into the bus, , due to this we are not able to reach office by time and we are in answerable position, , , this not only affects me but many people are suffering due to this...

            same thing happens in evening too... Please take the necessary actions over it... we want it to be cleared ASAP...

              Respected Sir,

              On 10th September 2010 (Friday), I have travelled in a TNSTC bus from CHENNAI to DHARMAPURI via THIRUPPATHUR. Between thriupathur and dharmapuri, the bus tyre got punctured. None of the TNSTC buses responded even driver's and conductor's request. We passengers were suffered a lot at the midnight between 2 to 3 AM IST.

              To whom I should report:
              1. Bus is not holding any Jocki ( Used to lift bus when punctured)
              2. None of the buses passed through our way was not responding even the bus driver and conductor requested the other buses.
              3. The Depot representative have not sent an alternate bus at that particular time.

                  Hi All,
                  I am Ravi, working in private concern in Chennai and my native is Tirunelveli, very recently I travelled in SETC from Tirunelveli to Chennai and I had very bad experience in Journey,
                  The story starts here,
                  Actual dep. time 4.00pm from tvl, so we started from our home at 3.30pm, since bus was coming from Kanniyakumari, it sharply reached tvl at 5.45pm :), again there was a issue to start from there(It’s a really big story, I m skipping this), then Police had come and solved the issue.
                  At last we start from tvl at 6.30pm, the max speed of bus was 50km/hr throughout the route, even though road was very good.
                  We reached Perungulathur at 8.30am next day morning, we all were thinking bus will go to thambaram, but here is big Kodumai, they stopped in bypass road, they asked as to get down without proper prior information in Perungulathur.
                  Then we had walk from bypass to near MTC bus stop :(, at last we reached home at 9.30.

                  But one thing, this is good Lesson learned for me, If don’t get ticket on either train or Private buses, I will cancel the date journey. :)

                    Dear Sir,

                    I regret to bring this to your knowledge that we are experiencing various ticket pricing patterns when we travel in the bus.

                    For example, in same bus traveling from Peramanalur to Salem, sometimes we are asked for 37/- as ticket and sometimes 55/- . This charges are when we travel in a Byepass rider. How can same route have different pricing..? When we ask the conductor we are told that it is a special bus. Just tell me based on the crowd in the route, TNSTC plans for special buses but why at special fares.

                    Another instant is when we travel in bus to Bangalore from Salem, The normal charge is 80/- per head but sometimes we are charged even 135/- to 140/- telling that it is a special bus.

                    This is really a complex situation where all passengers after getting into bus have to pay to the conductor and move on But I think some displays should be kept inside the bus itself showing final prices.

                    Am greatly hurt by these patterns in such a rate of inflation how can a person like me from middle class manage to travel in govt buses. When we prefer govt buses mainly because they are at affordable prices.

                      I travelled from thanjavur to chennnai. i started from thanjavur at 8 pm. At 11.30pm the propellar shaft of SETC bus got broken.Till 4am we havent recieved any bus from SETC. Children were waiting without sleep for another bus till 4 am.After 4am we got another SETC bus arranged by SETC. That SETC bus again at 7.30am near thindivam got some other problem. we along with children were supposed wait for 2hr for another bus. finally we got the bus from thindivam at 9.30am. we reached porur at 12.30.

                      we suffered a lot. i just now joined ia a company were i am suposed to be there at 7.30am but i reached at 1.30pm. i suffered a lot. Sever action should be taken regardig this.

                        Dear Sir,

                        This is to inform you that I am residing at Kattakkalaipatty village, which is situated on Melur - Sivagangai Road and almost 14 KMs away from both cities.

                        We have one bus stop at our village (its mentioned in Government list) but most of the drivers (From Melur depot as well Sivangai) they are simply ignoring us, they don’t stop Buses at our Bus stop, even if we use our hand signal to stop them.

                        This is humble request to all the concerned senior officers in particular department that we are also human beings though living in a village, kindly convey this message to all your drivers who drive through our stop and ask them to stop the buses at our bus stop, if someone trying to stop it.

                        I hope a Government Bus should stop at particular stop if it is properly stopped by human beings. We are all not animals to be simply ignored by your drivers while trying to stop your buses in our bus stop.                         Now a days lot of Development we can see in chennai .
                        Thanks for Prime Minister and Asst.P.M........

                        In bus stops the board only contain the bus numbers .
                        Why can't we keep map in every bus stop.Atleast path of every busses(Which is in one stop in R.A Puram).Please Implement in all bus stops So that everyone can easily understand .
                        For example if a bus goes from velavhery to C.M.B.T ,

                          Dear Sir/Madam,

                          I am Nagaraj from Gandhipuram, I am working in a Software company at Saravanampatti. It is 15 km from Gandhipuram. The bus No 111 only will go to this area. It will come once in a half an hour. If i miss the bus i have to wait another half an hour. Today i came to lakshmipuram bus stop at 7.30. That time one 111 came and i gave a hand signal to stop the bus, But the Driver went away from the bus stop and stopped the bus 200 meter from the bus stop. I ran and caught the bus with fear. It is very irresponsible behavior have done by the Driver. I request the higher authorities to take the necessary action on the driver.

                            We a copule of commuters, plying from Thanjavur NEW Busstand to Trichy Central Busstand, everyday. Usually we are plying through Govt. buses only. That too in the bus coming from ARIYALUR, bearing no. TN45 2167, starting at Thanjavur New Busstand at 7.34 AM and TN45 2103, starting at Thanjavur New Busstand at 7.37 AM, and reach Trichy around 9.15 AM. The travel in these two buses is always safe and good. UNFORTUNATELY, for last some weeks, these two buses are not plying on many MONDAYS, resulting distrubance to the regular commuters. When we asked Thanjavur Newbusstand staff, they told, abovesaid buses may sent to some other route, during MONDAYS only. We request you to kindly take necessary action to send the abovesaid buses as usual on all the MONDAYS also, and save us from LATE entry in our respected offices.

                              i am from sivakasi. our city is called as "Small japan" because of hardworking peoples.in our city most of the business peoples and students who are all depending on chennai for their business and studies are suffering from unavailability of frequent bus service to chennai. now we are provided with only one a/c bus. its cost Rs.460. due to this high amount some small business people and economically poor student cant use this bus. so we have to go to madurai for catching buses for chennai. this makes us frustrating about the journey, so please cancel the a/c bus and provide more number o[censored]ltra deluxe buses. it will make us so happy and it will be very useful for our city business enhancement. i hope that this complaint will be processed in favour out city peoples wish.

                                sir ,my native is Trichy but am working in covai,karumathampatti. Yesterday(15/08/2010) night i got TNSTC bus from Erode,usually Erode to Karumathampatti charge will Rs.21 but he put full amount(Rs.32). i was inquired with conductor but he said"from Erode covai, you can get down anywhere but fare will be full".time also night around 1AM so we can not get any other source. actually i do not know this rule or not,also here i have mention that bus detail,Bus No: Tn 33 N 1869 conductor Name M. Eswaramurthy. here i request you to kindly take necessary action for get back my lost amount and solution for mind stress.

                                  I am Pradeep, working in Bangalore.
                                  On 14/07/2010, I travelled with my family (wife, 10 yr old kid & 1 yr old kid) from Theni, Tamilnadu to Dindigul in the Government Transportation Bus (TNSTC, Madurai, Bus No : TN58 - N 0510)
                                  The Bus started at 6.30 PM from Theni. When it reached Periyakulam, the bus broke down.The driver took the bus to the nearby Bus depot, and started correcting the problem. I had booked my train from Dindigul to Bangalore for the same day[protected], Train No:6731, Ticket PNR No :[protected], Departure time : 9.25 PM) through TATKAL booking.

                                  Since it was becoming late, I approached the bus conductor and enquired him. He replied back that the bus will be ready in another 5 mins. Later, after 10 mins, still the bus did not start. Once again I informed him that I have to catch the train at 9.20 PM and requested him to give back the money, so that I can catch another bus and I would not miss the train. He replied again that it will be ready in 5 mins, and that he will pick up the speed and reach Dindigul on time.

                                  Later, the bus started after 10 more minutes, and it went very slowly and reached Dindigul only by 9.30 PM. We took an autorickshaw and rushed to the Railway junction.
                                  But the train had left the station already.

                                  I had planned to reach Bangalore the next day early morning, so that I can attend my office meeting with my client which was very crucial related to my career. But since I could not catch the train, my plans were collapsed. I had a very bitter experience carrying my small kids in another bus to salem and then to banglore, and suffered a lot that night without sleep. Since I reached Bangalore very late next morning, I missed that important meeting at the office too.
                                  Also, since the train was booked in Tatkal scheme, I could not cancel the ticket and there was no refund given to me.SO WE UNDERWENT BOTH FINANCIAL LOSS AND MENTAL SUFFERINGS.ALSO MY BABY FELT ILL NEXT DAY BECAUSE OF PREVIOUS DAYS CONTINUOUS BUS TRAVEL.BABY IS STILL SUFFERING A LOT.

                                  I request the authorities to take stringent action for this incident, and grant me a solatium of Rs.20000 for my financial loss (No refund for train ticket, extra charge paid for the bus to travel from Dindigul to Bangalore) and mental & physical sufferings.

                                    I want to share an incident which happened couple of weeks before in my
                                    life.
                                    I went to my native to attend a marriage and after attending it, me and
                                    my brother were returning back to bangalore. It was Tuesday so buses are
                                    free and I didn't book the ticket. We got a ticket in an Ultra Deluxe
                                    bus.The fare is 175 rupees per person. I bought 2 tickets by giving 400
                                    rupees. The conductor didn't give me the balance amount of 50 rupees and I
                                    have asked him to return it back, but he refused and he started arguing with
                                    me and literally told me that you cannot speak rules and at last he had
                                    taken the ticket and gave 400 bugs back to me as if he is the owner of the
                                    bus. That poor fellow didn't realize that he works for public.
                                    I was shocked and I don't have any other way, so we have accepted it and
                                    gave Rs 400 to get the tickets back. but some thing was hindering me. I
                                    thought to do something about it and surprisingly I saw a phone number
                                    written inside the bus, where we can place our complaints. I called them and
                                    shared this incident. They told me that they will call me back in 5 mins.
                                    After 3 mins the conductor came to me and had given me the remaining
                                    amount and asked me to call them back. I felt really good and I started
                                    sleeping.
                                    Around 2:30 AM two checking inspectors entered in to the bus and they
                                    found that the conductor was cheating like anything. He has given old
                                    invalid ticket for 5 passengers.
                                    Rs 1000 he was cheating on that day. Just imagine if he continues this for
                                    years, how much will be the loss for government and public.
                                    Last weekend again I went to my native and heard from my uncle that SETC
                                    has started checking the tickets and conductors rigorously in reservation
                                    buses. When I heard this I really felt that I have done something for the
                                    society.

                                    i travelled on 5/2/11from bangalore- tinelveli by 873 ud bond to udankudi. when i gotdown at tinelveli i missed my vallet containing ATMcard, bus ticket, money. And im on myway to nagercoil, i suffered a lot&till now i dont know how to lodge a complaint with setc officers, regarding it. pl help me out.feel free to call me on [protected], [protected].i will be much thankfull if i get it back.
